1. A display apparatus comprising:
a display module displaying images, and including:
a display unit having a substantially rectangular shape in a plan view, and including a boss fixing member including a combination hole disposed within the rectangular shape; and
a cover chassis having a substantially rectangular shape, including an edge which is chamfered and exposes the boss fixing member, and covering edges of the display unit;
a front case covering a first surface of the display module, and having a first boss inserted into the combination hole and secured to the combination hole, the first boss being formed on an inside edge of the front case, the front case and first boss are a single unitary indivisible part,
wherein the boss fixing member is positioned within the edges of the display module which define an outer dimension of the display module.
2. The display apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a rear case covering a second surface of the display module, which is opposite to the first surface of the display module, the rear case having a second boss that is formed to a corresponding location of the first boss and is inserted into the combination hole of the display module.
3. The display apparatus of claim 2, wherein the boss fixing member is formed at corners of the display module.
4. The display apparatus of claim 3, further comprising a boss insertion element surrounding an inner part of the combination hole of the boss fixing member.
5. The display apparatus of claim 4, wherein the boss insertion element includes an elastic material.
6. The display apparatus of claim 5, wherein the boss insertion element includes rubber.
7. The display apparatus of claim 4, wherein the boss insertion element includes a combining portion and the boss fixing member includes a hook portion, the hook portion fixing the boss insertion element via the combining portion.
8. The display apparatus of claim 4, wherein the combination hole has a shape corresponding to cross-sectional shapes of the first and second bosses.
9. The display apparatus of claim 8, wherein each of the first and second bosses has a conical shape, and the combination hole has a circular shape.
10. The display apparatus of claim 8, wherein the boss fixing member includes a protrusion portion formed on an inside surface of the combination hole.
11. The display apparatus of claim 10, wherein the protrusion portion has a hemispherical shape.
12. The display apparatus of claim 2, wherein the first and second bosses are combined with each other in the combination hole.
13. The display apparatus of claim 2, wherein the boss fixing member is formed at an outer end of a side of the display module.
14. The display apparatus of claim 2,
wherein the combination hole includes a first combination hole to receive and fix the first boss and a second combination hole to receive and fix the second boss; and
wherein a separation material is disposed between the first and second combination holes.
15. A display apparatus comprising:
a display module displaying images, and including:
a display unit having a substantially rectangular shape in a plan view and including a first boss fixing member including a combination hole disposed within the rectangular shape; and
a cover chassis having a substantially rectangular shape, including an edge which is chamfered and exposes the first boss fixing member, and covering edges of the display unit; and
a front case covering a first surface of the display module, and having a first boss inserted into the first boss fixing member and secured to the combination hole, the front case and first boss are a single unitary indivisible part; and
a rear case cover combined with the display module, the rear case covering a second surface of the display module, which is opposite to the first surface.
16. The display apparatus of claim 15, wherein the rear case comprises a second boss combined with the first boss fixing member to combine the rear case to the display module.
17. The display apparatus of claim 15, wherein the display module further comprises a second boss fixing member formed at least one of a long side of the display module and a short side of the display module.

1. A cycloolefin copolymer resin having a Hunter b color value of less than 1.0, which resin comprises:
a) first cycloolefin copolymer having a glass transition temperature of from about 100\xb0 C. to about 220\xb0 C., an intrinsic viscosity of from about 5 to about 1000 mlg as measured in decalin at 135\xb0 C., and a molar-mass distribution (MwMn) of less than 2,
b) from about 0.5 to about 10% by weight, based on the total weight of the resin, of a second cycloolefin copolymer, said second cycloolefin copolymer having a glass transition temperature of greater than about 50\xb0 C. and an intrinsic viscosity of from about 1 to about 500 mlg as measured in decalin at 135\xb0 C., and
c) from about 0.01% to about 3%, based on the total weight of the resin, of at least one lubricant selected from the group consisting of fatty acid esters of aliphatic polyhydric alcohols,
with the proviso that the glass temperature of the second cycloolefin copolymer is at least 25\xb0 C. lower than the glass transition temperature of the first cycloolefin copolymer and wherein the resin is substantially free of zinc stearate.
2. A resin as described in claim 1 wherein said first and second cycloolefin copolymers are random copolymers comprising units derived from (a) at least one cycloolefin selected from the group consisting of:
wherein R1, R2,R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, and R8 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1 to C20 alkyl groups, C6 to C20 aryl groups, F, Cl, Br, and I, and n is an integer having a value from 0 to 5; (b) a non-cyclic 1-olefin of the formula:
wherein R9 to R12 are independently selected form the group consisting of hydrogen and C1 to C8 alkyl groups; and, optionally, (c) a cycloolefin of the formula:
wherein m is an integer having a value from 2 to 10.
3. A resin as described in claim 2 wherein said second cycloolefin copolymer is present in an amount of from about 0.5 to about 5 weight percent, based on the total weight of the resin and said lubricant is present in an amount of from about 0.05 to about 1.5 percent by weight, based on the total weight of the resin.
4. A resin as described in claim 3 wherein said first cycloolefin copolymer has a Tg of from about 100\xb0 C. to about 185\xb0 C. and said second cycloolefin copolymer has a Tg of from about 55\xb0 C. to about 70\xb0 C.
5. A resin as described in claim 4 wherein said first and second cycloolefin copolymers comprise units derived from ethylene and a cycloolefin of the formula:
6. A resin as defined in claim 1 having a Hunter b color value of less than 0.8.
7. A resin as defined in claim 1 wherein said lubricant is selected form the group consisting of pentaerythritol tetrastearate, pentaerythritol distearate, and mixtures thereof.
8. A resin as defined in claim 7 wherein said lubricant is pentaerythritol tetrastearate.
9. A cycloolefin resin having a Hunter b color value of less than 0.8, which resin consists essentially of:
(a) a first cycloolefin copolymer having a glass transition temperature of from about 120\xb0 C. to about 160\xb0 C., an intrinsic viscosity of from about 5 to about 1000 mlg as measured in decalin at 135\xb0 C., and a molar-mass distribution (MwMn) of less than 2,
(b) from about 0.5 to about 10% by weight, based on the total weight of the resin, of a second cycloolefin copolymer, said second cycloolefin copolymer having a glass transition temperature of from about 55\xb0 C. to about 85\xb0 C. and an intrinsic viscosity of from about 1 to about 500 mlg as measured in decalin at 135\xb0 C.,
(c) from about 0.05 to about 1.5 percent by weight, based on the total weight of the resin, of at least one fatty ester of a polyhydric alcohol, and
(d) optionally, up to about 1 percent by weight, based on the total weight of the resin of an antioxidant,
wherein the resin is substantially free of zinc stearate.
10. A resin as described in claim 9 wherein said second cycloolefin copolymer has a Tg of from about 55\xb0 C. to about 70\xb0 C.
11. A resin as described in claim 10 wherein said second cycloolefin copolymer is present in an amount of from about 0.5 to about 5 weight percent, based on the total weight of the resin.
12. A resin as described in claim 10 wherein said first and second cycloolefin copolymers are derived from cycloolefin starting materials that are substantially the same chemically.
13. A resin as described in claim 12 wherein said first and second cycloolefin copolymers are derived from ethylene and norbornene.
14. A resin as described in claim 9 which is substantially free of metal salts of fatty acids.
15. A resin as described in claim 12 wherein said lubricant is present in an amount of from about 0.1 to about 0.5 percent by weight, based on the total weight of the resin.
16. A resin as described in claim 12 wherein said antioxidant comprises at least one phenolic antioxidant.
17. A resin as described in claim 9 wherein said first and second cycloolefin copolymers are random copolymers comprising units derived from ethylene and a at least one cycloolefin selected from the group consisting of:
wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, and R8 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1 to C20 alkyl groups, C6 to C20 aryl groups, F, Cl, Br, and I, and n is an integer having a value from 0 to 5.
18. A molded article for optical applications that is formed from the resin of claim 1.
