15. A method for treating a patient with type II diabetes comprising:
advancing a duodenal anchor through an esophagus, a stomach and a pyloric sphincter into a proximal region of a duodenum of the patient;
advancing a gastric anchor coupled to the duodenal anchor through the esophagus and into a distal region of the stomach of the patient;
expanding the duodenal anchor within the duodenum into an operative configuration that prevents proximal movement of the duodenal anchor through the pyloric sphincter;
expanding the gastric anchor within the stomach into an operative configuration that prevents distal movement of the gastric anchor through the pyloric sphincter; and
positioning a substantially hollow sleeve such that the sleeve extends from the duodenal anchor through at least a proximal portion of the duodenum of the patient.
16. The method of claim 15 wherein the expanding the duodenal anchor step is carried out by delivering a fluid into an interior of the duodenal anchor.
17. The method of claim 15 wherein the expanding the gastric anchor step is carried out by delivering a fluid into an interior of the gastric anchor and expanding the anchor.
18. The method of claim 15 further comprising coupling a proximal end of the hollow sleeve to the duodenal anchor.
19. The method of claim 15 wherein the hollow sleeve is positioned to extend through the entire length of the duodenum of the patient.
20. The method of claim 15 wherein the hollow sleeve is positioned to extend into the jejunum of the patient.

All refrences to claim(s) which appear below refer to the numbering after this setence.

1. A sticking apparatus for manufacturing a laminate which is formed by laminating a substrate, an adhesive layer, and a support in this order by sticking the substrate and the support to each other through the adhesive layer, the sticking apparatus comprising:
a pair of plate members which sandwiches the laminate therebetween, wherein the pair of plate members includes respective press plates, each of which is formed of ceramic, wherein mutually facing surfaces of the respective press plates are formed such that flatness at a time of non-pressing is less than or equal to 1.0 \u03bcm; and
supporting members which support the plate members,
wherein the supporting member supporting at least one of the plate members is located in a form of a plurality of dots or lines adjacent to each other at regular intervals on the plate member.
