1. An apparatus comprising:
at least one processor;
a memory coupled to the at least one processor;
a computer program residing in the memory, said computer program including a object reference server mechanism, said object reference server mechanism delivering an object reference for a naming object to a remote second apparatus upon request of said second apparatus.
2. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said object reference server mechanism comprises a web server.
3. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said second apparatus comprises a web browser.
4. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said object reference is stored in a web server directory.
5. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said object reference comprises a stringified object reference.
6. The apparatus of claim I wherein said object reference comprises a stringified object reference and wherein said naming object comprises a root naming context object.
7. A method for bootstrapping an object client to a remote object server wherein the object server includes a plurality of objects including at least one naming context object, the method comprising the steps of:
a) creating an object reference for said at least one naming context object;
b) storing said object reference in a object reference server directory;
c) downloading said object reference from said object reference server directory to an object client when said object client attempts to access objects on said remote object server.
8. The method of claim 7 wherein the step of creating an object reference comprises creating a stringified object reference.
9. The method of claim 7 wherein said naming context object comprises a root naming context object.
10. The method of claim 7 wherein said object server directory comprises a web server directory.
11. The method of claim 7 wherein said object client comprises a web browser and wherein the step of downloading said object reference from said object reference server directory comprises downloading by a web server application.
12. The method of claim 11 wherein the step of downloading said object reference from said object reference server directory comprises downloading a uniform resource locator for said object reference to said web browser and said web browser requesting said object reference using said uniform resource locator from said web server application.
13. The method of claim 12 wherein the step of downloading a uniform resource locator for said object reference comprises downloading the uniform resource locator as part of a Java applet.
14. The method of claim 12 wherein the step of downloading a uniform resource locator for said object reference comprises downloading the uniform resource locator part of a Java Object Request Broker.
15. The method of claim 7 wherein said object client comprises a Java-enabled web browser.
16. The method of claim 7 wherein said object client comprises a Java-enabled web browser containing a CORBA compliant Java Object Request Broker.
17. The method of claim 7 wherein the object server is a part of a server system, and wherein said server system further includes a location service application, and wherein said object reference server comprises a web server application in said server system.
18. The method of claim 17 wherein the object server includes a name object server.
19. The method of claim 7 wherein the object reference server comprises a web server and the object client comprises a web browser and further comprising the steps of:
downloading an applet from said web server to said web browser and running said applet on said web browser;
downloading an object request broker from said web server;
requesting said object reference from said web server; and
retrieving a proxy for said naming context object using said retrieved object reference.
20. The method of claim 19 wherein the step of downloading said object request broker comprises downloading the class of said object request broker from the web server.
21. A program product comprising:
(A) a computer program including a object reference server mechanism, said object reference server mechanism delivering an object reference for a naming object to a remote apparatus upon request of said apparatus; and
(B) signal bearing media bearing said object reference server mechanism.
22. The program product of claim 21 wherein the signal bearing media comprises recordable media.
23. The program product of claim 21 wherein the signal bearing media comprises transmission media.
24. The program product of claim 21 wherein said apparatus comprises a remote web browser.
25. The program product of claim 21 wherein said object reference server mechanism comprises a web server having access to said object reference.
26. The program product of claim 21 wherein said object reference comprises a stringified object reference.
27. The program product of claim 21 wherein said object reference comprises a stringified object reference of a root naming context object.
28. A program product comprising:
(A) a applet, said applet including an object reference uniform resource locator for retrieving an object reference for a naming object from a server apparatus; and
(B) signal bearing media bearing said applet.
29. The program product of claim 28 wherein the signal bearing media comprises recordable media.
30. The program product of claim 28 wherein the signal bearing media comprises transmission media.
31. The program product of claim 28 wherein the signal bearing media comprises the Internet.
32. The program product of claim 28 wherein said server apparatus comprises a web server having access to said object reference.
33. An apparatus comprising:
at least one processor;
a memory coupled to the at least one processor;
a server system, said server system comprising:
a) at least one object server, said at least one object server including a naming context object;
b) a web server, said web server having access to a stringified object reference for said naming context object, wherein said web server downloads said stringified object reference to a web browser when said stringified object reference is requested by said web browser.
34. A method for bootstrapping an object client to a remote object server wherein the object server includes a plurality of objects including at least one naming context object, the method comprising the steps of:
a) creating an object reference for said at least one naming context object;
b) storing said object reference in a web server directory;
c )downloading an applet from a web server to a web browser and running said applet on said web browser;
d) downloading an object request broker from said web server;
e) requesting said object reference from said web server; and
f) retrieving a proxy for said naming context object using said retrieved object reference.
35. The method of claim 34 wherein the object request broker comprises a Java object request broker.
36. The method of claim 34 wherein the object reference comprises a stringifled object reference.
37. The method of claim 34 wherein the step of downloading an applet comprises downloading a uniform resource locator to said object reference and wherein the step of requesting said object reference from said web server comprises passing said uniform resource locator to said web server.
38. The method of claim 34 wherein the step of downloading an object request broker from said web server comprises downloading an uniform resource locator to said object reference and wherein the step of requesting said object reference from said web server comprises passing said uniform resource locator to said web server.
39. The method of claim 34 wherein the step of downloading an object request broker comprises downloading a java object request broker.

11. A terminal device comprising:
a first communication section which connects to a translation module;
a second communication section which has a shorter communicable distance in comparison with the first communication section; and
a communication control section which, after information of an other terminal device is received by the second communication section, controls to commence communication with the translation module by the first communication section based on the information of the other terminal device.
12. The terminal device according to claim 11, wherein the communication control section receives at least language used information as information of the other terminal device, and controls to commence communication with the translation module by the first communication section based on the language used information.
13. The terminal device according to claim 12, wherein the communication control section commences communication with the translation module by the first communication section when both languages being used are different, based on the language used information of a portable terminal and the language used information of the other terminal device.
14. The terminal device according to claim 11, wherein the communication control section disconnects communication with the translation module by the first communication section, when the other terminal device is separated by more than a predetermined distance.
15. The terminal device according to claim 11, wherein the communication control section judges whether or not communication is necessary based on the information, and when judged communication is necessary commences communication with the translation module by the first communication section.
16. A translation system including a translation server and a plurality of terminal devices, the translation system being characterized by
the translation server comprising:
a translation section which translates information inputted from the plurality of terminal devices into information of other languages; and
the plurality of terminal devices comprising:
a first communication section which is connected to the translation server;
a second communication section which has a shorter communicable distance in comparison with the first communication section;
a communication control section which, after information of an other terminal device is received by the second communication section, controls to commence communication with the translation server by the first communication section based on the information; and
a presentation section which presents the information from the other terminal device which has been acquired from the translation server through communication by the first communication section and translated into the other language by the translation section.
17. The translation system according to claim 16, wherein the translation section establishes a translation language between the plurality of terminal devices based on respective information of the plurality of terminal devices.
18. The translation system according to claim 16, wherein the communication control section disconnects communication with the translation server by the first communication section, when the other terminal device is separated by more than a predetermined distance.
19. A communication control method comprising:
a first communication step of connecting with a translation module by a first communication section;
a reception step of receiving information of an other terminal device by a second communication section which has a shorter communicable distance in comparison with the first communication section; and
a communication control step of controlling to commence communication with the translation module by the first communication section based on the information of the other terminal device.
20. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium have a program stored thereon that is executable by a processor in a terminal device to actualize functions comprising:
a first communication function of connecting with a translation module by a first communication section;
a reception function of receiving information of an other terminal device by a second communication section which has a shorter communicable distance in comparison with the first communication section; and
a communication control function of controlling to commence communication with the translation module by the first communication section based on the information of the other terminal device.
