What is claimed is:
1. A motor comprising:
a rotor;
a stator assembly facing said rotor;
a motor base including;
a base section;
a bearing supporter for supporting a bearing vertically with respect to said base section;
a stator supporter, substantially concentric with said bearing supporter, for being mounted with said stator assembly, and
a metal terminal disposed around said bearing supporter and exposed from a bottom face of said base section.
2. The motor as defined in claim 1, wherein said bearing supporter is unitarily formed with said stator supporter.
3. The motor as defined in claim 1 further comprising a stator stopper protrudently provided on said base section, wherein an inner wall of said stator assembly is fit on an outer wall of said stator supporter, and said stator stopper closely faces a lower end face of an outer wall of said stator assembly in an axial direction.
4. A motor comprising:
a cup-shaped rotor including a magnet on an inner wall and a shaft at a center thereof;
a stator assembly facing said rotor;
a motor base for supporting vertically a bearing which journals the shaft and for supporting said stator assembly concentrically with the bearing; and
a cover for surrounding an outer wall of said rotor and fixed to said motor base,
wherein a space between the outer wall of said rotor and an inner wall of said cover in a radial direction is set narrower than a space between an outer wall of said stator assembly and the inner wall of said magnet.
5. A motor comprising:
a rotor with a shaft;
a motor base for supporting vertically a bearing which journals the shaft; and
a cover for surrounding an outer wall of said rotor and fixed to said motor base,
wherein when an acceleration greater than a first acceleration (operating acceleration) and smaller than a second acceleration (maximum durable acceleration) is applied to said motor, a space between said rotor and said cover and a space between said rotor and said motor base are set such that said rotor touches at least one of said cover and said motor base.
6. The motor as defined in claim 5, wherein when an acceleration greater than the first acceleration and smaller than the second acceleration is applied to said motor, a space between the outer wall of said rotor and an inner wall of the cover is set such that the outer wall of said rotor touches the inner wall of the cover in a radial direction.
7. The motor as defined in claim 5, wherein when an acceleration greater than the first acceleration and smaller than the second acceleration is applied to said motor, a space between an end face of said rotor and an upper face of said motor base is set such that the end face of said rotor touches the upper face of said motor base in a thrust direction.
8. The motor as defined in claim 5, wherein when an acceleration greater than the first acceleration and smaller than the second acceleration is applied to said motor, a space between an upper face of said rotor and said cover confronting the upper face of said rotor is set such that the upper face of said rotor touches said cover in a thrust direction.
9. A motor comprising:
a rotor;
a stator assembly facing said rotor;
a motor base including;
a base section;
a bearing supporter for supporting a bearing vertically with respect to said base section;
a stator supporter, substantially concentric with said bearing supporter, for being mounted with said stator assembly, and
a rotor stopper protruding from said base section toward teeth of said stator assembly,
wherein a radius of an outer wall of said rotor stopper is set one of substantially the same as and greater than that of said stator assembly.
10. A motor comprising:
a rotor including a shaft at a center thereof and an eccentric weight;
a motor base for supporting vertically a bearing which journals the shaft; and
a cover for covering an upper face of said rotor and fixed to said motor base,
wherein a shaft stopper, having an inner diameter greater than a diameter of the shaft, is provided on an upper face of said cover, and a part of the shaft is protruded so that the part is inserted into the shaft stopper.
11. A motor comprising:
a rotor including a rotor frame, a magnet, and an eccentric weight; and
a stator assembly facing said rotor;
wherein the eccentric weight is disposed in the rotor frame and clamped between a top plate of the rotor frame and the magnet, and fixed to the rotor frame.
12. A motor comprising:
a rotor;
a stator assembly facing said rotor;
a motor base for mounting said stator assembly; and
a mounting terminal disposed on a bottom face of said motor base,
wherein a unit area mass, derived from dividing a self weight of said motor by a total area of said mounting terminals, is not more than 0.1 gmm2.
13. An apparatus comprising:
a motor;
a board on which said motor is mounted; and
a driver for driving said motor,
wherein said motor including:
a rotor;
a stator assembly facing said rotor;
a motor base including;
a base section;
a bearing supporter for supporting a bearing vertically with respect to said base section;
a stator supporter, substantially concentric with said bearing supporter, for being mounted with said stator assembly, and
a metal terminal disposed around said bearing supporter and exposed from a bottom face of said base section.
14. An apparatus comprising:
a motor;
a board on which said motor is mounted; and
a driver for driving said motor,
wherein said motor including:
a cup-shaped rotor including a magnet on an inner wall and a shaft at a center thereof;
a stator assembly facing said rotor;
a motor base for supporting vertically a bearing which journals the shaft and for supporting said stator assembly concentrically with the bearing; and
a cover for surrounding an outer wall of said rotor and fixed to said motor base,
wherein a space between the outer wall of said rotor and an inner wall of said cover in a radial direction is set narrower than a space between an outer wall of said stator assembly and the inner wall of said magnet.
15. An apparatus comprising:
a motor;
a board on which said motor is mounted; and
a driver for driving said motor,
wherein said motor including:
a rotor with a shaft;
a motor base for supporting vertically a bearing which journals the shaft; and
a cover for surrounding an outer wall of said rotor and fixed to said motor base,
wherein when an acceleration greater than a first acceleration (operating acceleration) and smaller than a second acceleration (maximum durable acceleration) is applied to said motor, a space between said rotor and said cover and a space between said rotor and said motor base are set such that said rotor touches at least one of said cover and said motor base.
16. An apparatus comprising:
a motor;
a board on which said motor is mounted; and
a driver for driving said motor,
wherein said motor including:
a rotor;
a stator assembly facing said rotor;
a motor base including;
a base section;
a bearing supporter for supporting a bearing vertically with respect to said base section;
a stator supporter, substantially concentric with said bearing supporter, for being mounted with said stator assembly, and
a rotor stopper protruding from said base section toward teeth of said stator assembly,
wherein a radius of an outer wall of said rotor stopper is set one of substantially the same as and greater than that of said stator assembly.
17. An apparatus comprising:
a motor;
a board on which said motor is mounted; and
a driver for driving said motor,
wherein said motor including:
a rotor including a shaft at a center thereof and an eccentric weight;
a motor base for supporting vertically a bearing which journals the shaft; and
a cover for covering an upper face of said rotor and fixed to said motor base,
wherein a shaft stopper, having an inner diameter greater than a diameter of the shaft, is provided on an upper face of said cover, and a part of the shaft is protruded so that the part is inserted into the shaft stopper.
18. An apparatus comprising:
a motor;
a board on which said motor is mounted; and
a driver for driving said motor,
wherein said motor including:
a rotor including a rotor frame, a magnet, and an eccentric weight; and
a stator assembly facing said rotor;
wherein the eccentric weight is disposed in the rotor frame and clamped between a top plate of the rotor frame and the magnet, and fixed to the rotor frame.
19. An apparatus comprising:
a motor;
a board on which said motor is mounted; and
a driver for driving said motor,
wherein said motor including:
a rotor;
a stator assembly facing said rotor;
a motor base for mounting said stator assembly; and
a mounting terminal disposed on a bottom face of said motor base,
wherein a unit area mass, derived from dividing a self weight of said motor by a total area of said mounting terminals, is not more than 0.1 gmm2.

1. A method of operating a gaming system including a plurality of gaming devices configured to communicate with a controller, each of said gaming devices including at least one wagering game operable upon a wager by a player, said method comprising:
(a) enabling each player playing at one of said gaming devices to choose a first mode or choose a second different mode;
(b) matching at least two of said players to compete against one another for at least one play of a wagering game based at least in part on the modes chosen by said players;
(c) initiating the play of the wagering game for said matched players, wherein said wagering game includes a plurality of opportunities at which designated bets can be made;
(d) if said matched players chose the first mode:
(i) enabling a first one of the matched players to make a first designated bet in said play of the wagering game at a first one of the opportunities to make one of said designated bets,
(ii) if the first one of the matched players makes the first designated bet at said first one of the opportunities, enabling a second one of the matched players to accept or reject the first designated bet,
(iii) if the second one of the matched players accepts the first designated bet:
(1) increasing a value associated with said play of the wagering game, and
(2) enabling the second one of the matched players to make a second designated bet in said play of the wagering game at a second one of the opportunities to make one of said designated bets, wherein said first one of the matched players is only enabled to make a third designated bet in said play of the wagering game after the second one of the matched players makes the second designated bet, and
(iv) if the second one of the matched players rejects the first designated bet, terminating the play of the wagering game for said second one of the matched players;
(e) if the matched players chose the second different mode:
(i) enabling the first one of the matched players to make the first designated bet for said play of the wagering game at the first one of the opportunities to make one of said designated bets,
(ii) if the first one of the matched players makes the first designated bet at said first one of the opportunities, enabling the second one of the matched players to accept or reject the first designated bet,
(iii) if the second one of the matched players accepts the first designated bet, increasing the value associated with said play of the wagering game and enabling said first and second matched players to continue competing in said play of the wagering game, and
(iv) if the second one of the matched players rejects the first designated bet, not increasing the value of the wagering game and enabling said first and second matched players to continue competing in said play of the wagering game;
(f) after a final one of the opportunities, determining which of the matched players wins said play of the wagering game; and
(g) providing an award based on the value associated with said play of the wagering game to the player who wins said play of the wagering game.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the designated bet includes a raise.
3. The method of claim 1, which includes providing an indication to inform said players which player is enabled to make the designated bet at each of said opportunities in the play of the wagering game.
4. The method of claim 1, which is provided through a data network.
5. The method of claim 4, wherein the data network is an internet.
6. A gaming system comprising:
a plurality of gaming devices, each gaming device including: at least one input device, at least one display device, at least one processor, and at least one memory device which stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the at least one processor, causes the at least one processor to operate with the at least one input device and the at least one display device to display at least one wagering game operable upon a wager by a player; and
a controller, said gaming devices and said controller configured to:
(a) enable each player playing at one of said gaming devices to choose a first mode or choose a second different mode;
(b) match at least two of said players to compete against one another for at least one play of a wagering game based at least in part on the modes chosen by said players;
(c) initiate the play of the wagering game for said matched players, wherein said wagering game includes a plurality of opportunities at which designated bets can be made;
(d) if said matched players chose the first mode:
(i) enable a first one of the matched players to make a first designated bet in said play of the wagering game at a first one of the opportunities to make one of said designated bets,
(ii) if the first one of the matched players makes the first designated bet at said first one of the opportunities, enable a second one of the matched players to accept or reject the first designated bet,
(iii) if the second one of the matched players accepts the first designated bet:
(1) increase a value associated with said play of the wagering game, and
(2) enable the second one of the matched players to make a second designated bet in said play of the wagering game at a second one of the opportunities to make one of said designated bets, wherein said first one of the matched players is only enabled to make a third designated bet in said play of the wagering game after the second one of the matched players makes the second designated bet, and
(iv) if the second one of the matched players rejects the first designated bet, terminate the play of the wagering game for said second one of the matched players;
(e) if the matched players chose the second different mode:
(i) enable the first one of the matched players to make the first designated bet for said play of the wagering game at the first one of the opportunities to make one of said designated bets,
(ii) if the first one of the matched players makes the first designated bet at said first one of the opportunities, enable the second one of the matched players to accept or reject the first designated bet,
(iii) if the second one of the matched players accepts the first designated bet, increase the value associated with said play of the wagering game and enabling said first and second matched players to continue competing in said play of the wagering game, and
(iv) if the second one of the matched players rejects the first designated bet, not increase the value of the wagering game and enabling said first and second matched players to continue competing in said play of the wagering game;
(f) after a final one of the opportunities, determine which of the matched players wins said play of the wagering game; and
(g) provide an award based on the value associated with said play of the wagering game to the player who wins said play of the wagering game.
7. The gaming system of claim 6, wherein the designated bet includes a raise.
8. The gaming system of claim 6, wherein the gaming devices and controller are configured to provide an indication to inform said players which player is enabled to make the designated bet at each of said opportunities in the play of the wagering game.
9. A memory device which stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by a controller causes the controller to operate with a plurality of gaming devices, each gaming device configured display at least one wagering game operable upon a wager by a player, to:
(a) enable each player playing at one of said gaming devices to choose a first mode or choose a second different mode;
(b) match at least two of said players to compete against one another for at least one play of a wagering game based at least in part on the modes chosen by said players;
(c) initiate the play of the wagering game for said matched players, wherein said wagering game includes a plurality of opportunities at which designated bets can be made;
(d) if said matched players chose the first mode:
(i) enable a first one of the matched players to make a first designated bet in said play of the wagering game at a first one of the opportunities to make one of said designated bets,
(ii) if the first one of the matched players makes the first designated bet at said first one of the opportunities, enable a second one of the matched players to accept or reject the first designated bet,
(iii) if the second one of the matched players accepts the first designated bet:
(1) increase a value associated with said play of the wagering game, and
(2) enable the second one of the matched players to make a second designated bet in said play of the wagering game at a second one of the opportunities to make one of said designated bets, wherein said first one of the matched players is only enabled to make a third designated bet in said play of the wagering game after the second one of the matched players makes the second designated bet, and
(iv) if the second one of the matched players rejects the first designated bet, terminate the play of the wagering game for said second one of the matched players;
(e) if the matched players chose the second different mode:
(i) enable the first one of the matched players to make the first designated bet for said play of the wagering game at the first one of the opportunities to make one of said designated bets,
(ii) if the first one of the matched players makes the first designated bet at said first one of the opportunities, enable the second one of the matched players to accept or reject the first designated bet,
(iii) if the second one of the matched players accepts the first designated bet, increase the value associated with said play of the wagering game and enabling said first and second matched players to continue competing in said play of the wagering game, and
(iv) if the second one of the matched players rejects the first designated bet, not increase the value of the wagering game and enabling said first and second matched players to continue competing in said play of the wagering game;
(f) after a final one of the opportunities, determine which of the matched players wins said play of the wagering game; and
(g) provide an award based on the value associated with said play of the wagering game to the player who wins said play of the wagering game.
10. The memory device of claim 9, wherein the designated bet includes a raise.
11. The memory device of claim 9, wherein the instructions further cause the controller to operate with the gaming devices to provide an indication to inform said players which player is enabled to make the designated bet at each of said opportunities in the play of the wagering game.
