1. A method of managing browser navigation, comprising:
receiving, at a browser executing on a computing system, a first web page having first embedded software code;
executing the first embedded software code to store a first navigation attribute;
receiving a request to navigate to a second web page having second embedded software code, the request being initiated by a browser functionality;
loading the second web page to execute the second embedded software code to determine a second navigation attribute;
comparing the second navigation attribute to the first navigation attribute;
requesting a corrected second web page if the second navigation attribute fails to match a condition set by the first navigation attribute; and
providing an indication in the corrected second web page that the navigation control provided by the browser is disabled.
2. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving the request to navigate to the second web page from a navigation control provided by the browser.
3. The method of claim 2, further comprising providing navigation using both the navigation control provided by the browser and a first navigation control provided within the first web page.
4. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving the request to navigate to the second web page from a first navigation control within the first web page.
5. The method of claim 4, further comprising selectively comparing the second navigation attribute to the first navigation attribute in accordance with an identifier embedded in the first web page.
6. The method of claim 1, further comprising storing the first navigation attribute in a cache on the computing system.
7. The method of claim 6, wherein the cache is a cookie file.
8. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
providing a second navigation control in the second corrected web page; and
requesting subsequent corrected web pages if a subsequent navigation attribute fails to match a condition set by the second navigation attribute.
9. The method of claim 1, wherein the first navigation attribute is one of a string value, a time stamp, or a Boolean function.
10. The method of claim 1, wherein the second embedded software code when executed by the computing device requests a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) from a web server to retrieve the corrected second web page.
11. The method of claim 1, further comprising providing an alternate navigation functionality within web pages received at a browser to navigate between the web pages without utilizing a navigation control provided by the browser, the alternate navigation functionality being provided through embedded software code in the web pages.
12. A method of providing navigation control between related web pages, comprising:
receiving, at a web server, a request for a first web page;
providing the first web page having first embedded software code that is executed by a client computing device to store a first navigation attribute on the client computing device;
receiving a request at the web server to navigate to a second web;
providing the second web page having second embedded software code that is executed by the client computing device to compare a second navigation attribute associated with the second web page to the first navigation attribute, the second embedded software code instructing the client computing device to request a corrected second web page based on a result of the comparing the second navigation attribute to the first navigation attribute; and
providing an indication in the corrected second web page that the navigation control provided by the browser is disabled.
13. The method of claim 12, further comprising receiving the request at the server in response to a browser navigation control provided by a web browser executing on the client computing device.
14. The method of claim 13, further comprising
providing an indication that the corrected second web page has been provided to the client computing device; and
providing an indication that an alternate navigation functionality between the related web pages is being provided as an alternative to the browser navigation control.
15. The method of claim 12, further comprising selectively comparing the second navigation attribute to the first navigation attribute in accordance with an identifier embedded in the first web page.
16. The method of claim 12, further comprising storing the first navigation attribute in a persistent file on the client computing device.
17. A method of providing navigation control between a first web page and a second web page, comprising:
executing, within a browser application executing on a computing device, first embedded software code associated with the first web page to store a first navigation attribute in a cookie file;
communicating a request for the second web page through the browser application;
executing, within the browser application executing on the computing device, second embedded software code associated with the second web page to compare second navigation attribute to the first navigation attribute;
communicating a request for a corrected second web page if the second navigation attribute fails to match a condition set by the first navigation attribute; and
providing an indication in the corrected second web page that the navigation control provided by the browser is disabled.
18. The method of claim 17, wherein the second embedded software code requests a predetermined Uniform Resource Locator (URL) from a web server to retrieve the corrected second web page based on an identifier provided with the first web page.
19. The method of claim 17, wherein the condition is determined based on the first navigation attribute being one of a string value, a time stamp, or a Boolean function.
20. A method of managing browser navigation, comprising:
receiving, at a browser executing on a computing system, a first web page having first embedded software code;
executing the first embedded software code to store a first navigation attribute;
receiving a request to navigate to a second web page having second embedded software code, the request being initiated by a browser functionality;
loading the second web page to execute the second embedded software code to determine a second navigation attribute;
comparing the second navigation attribute to the first navigation attribute; requesting a corrected second web page if the second navigation attribute fails to match a condition set by the first navigation attribute; and
providing a second navigation control in the second corrected web page;
requesting subsequent corrected web pages if a subsequent navigation attribute fails to match a condition set by the second navigation attribute.
21. A method of providing navigation control between related web pages, comprising:
receiving, at a web server, a request for a first web page;
providing the first web page having first embedded software code that is executed by a client computing device to store a first navigation attribute on the client computing device;
receiving a request at the web server to navigate to a second web;
providing the second web page having second embedded software code that is executed by the client computing device to compare a second navigation attribute associated with the second web page to the first navigation attribute, the second embedded software code instructing the client computing device to request a corrected second web page based on a result of the comparing the second navigation attribute to the first navigation attribute;
providing a second navigation control in the second corrected web page; and
requesting subsequent corrected web pages if a subsequent navigation attribute fails to match a condition set by the second navigation attribute.
22. A method of providing navigation control between a first web page and a second web page, comprising:
executing, within a browser application executing on a computing device, first embedded software code associated with the first web page to store a first navigation attribute in a cookie file;
communicating a request for the second web page through the browser application;
executing, within the browser application executing on the computing device, second embedded software code associated with the second web page to compare second navigation attribute to the first navigation attribute;
communicating a request for a corrected second web page if the second navigation attribute fails to match a condition set by the first navigation attribute;
providing a second navigation control in the second corrected web page; and
requesting subsequent corrected web pages if a subsequent navigation attribute fails to match a condition set by the second navigation attribute.

1. Diffusing layer consisting of agglomerated particles in a binder, characterized in that the particles have a mean diameter of between 0.3 and 2 microns, in that the binder is in a proportion of between 10 and 40% by volume, in that the particles form aggregates whose size is between 0.5 and 20 microns, and preferably less than 5 microns, and in that the layer has a contrast attenuation of greater than 40%.
2. Diffusing layer according to claim 1, characterized in that it has a light transmission TL of greater than 45% and preferably greater than 60%.
3. Diffusing layer according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the particles are semitransparent particles and preferably mineral particles, such as oxide, nitride or carbide particles.
4. Diffusing layer according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the particles are silicon, aluminium, zirconium, titanium or cerium oxides, or a mixture of at least two of these oxides.
5. Diffusing layer according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it includes a dispersing additive such as an acid, a base, divalent ions or ionic polymers of low molecular mass.
6. Diffusing layer according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that it has a thickness of between 1 and 20 microns.
7. Diffusing layer according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the binder is chosen from mineral binders, such as potassium silicates, sodium silicates, lithium silicates and aluminium phosphates, and organic binders, such as polymers of the polyvinyl alcohol, thermosetting resin and acrylic types.
8. Diffusing layer according to claim 7, characterized in that the binder is a mineral binder.
9. Use of a diffusing layer as described according to one of claims 1 to 8 for producing a diffusing substrate in a flat lamp.
10. Use of a diffusing layer according to claim 9, characterized in that it is deposited on a flat substrate, preferably made of glass.
11. Use of a diffusing layer according to either of claims 9 and 10, characterized in that the flat substrate is one of the glass sheets forming the flat lamp.
12. Use of a diffusing layer according to either of claims 10 and 11, characterized in that it is deposited on both sides of the flat substrate.
13. Use of a diffusing layer according to one of claims 9 to 12, characterized in that it is deposited using a deposition method such as screen printing, coating with a paint, dip coating, spin coating, flow coating or spraying.
14. Use of a diffusing layer according to one of claims 9 to 13, characterized in that the thickness andor the covering density of the layer varies over the deposition surface.
