1. A beverage holder device comprising:
a flexible foldable cylindrically-shaped insulated sleeve with a longitudinal seam that comprises a piping or welt material along said seam;
said sleeve having an inside diameter sized to receive and hold a beverage container;
a foldable bottom portion is attached to said sleeve to prevent said beverage container from dropping through said sleeve;
an elongated bracket having means for mounting said bracket to a vertical surface; and
said bracket having a longitudinal channel and corresponding opening therein with a closed bottom end and an opening at its upper end, said channel being sized to receive by sliding engagement therein said piping or welt material wherein said piping or welt material and said channel longitudinal opening are configured such that when said piping or welt material is slid into said channel starting from said channel’s upper end, said piping or welt material and said sleeve are held in place by said bracket.
2. The device according to claim 1, wherein said insulated sleeve further comprises an insulation material and an outer fabric material, said insulation material further having an reflective material layer on one of an inner surface of said insulation material, an outer surface of said insulation material or on both an inner and outer surface of said insulation material.
3. The device according to claim 2, further comprising an inner fabric liner within the interior of said sleeve.
4. The device according to claim 2, wherein the insulation material is made from a closed cell foam material.
5. The device according to claim 1, wherein said foldable bottom portion further comprises an insulation material with a reflective material layer on an inner surface of said bottom portion insulation material or on both an inner and outer surface of said bottom portion insulation material.
6. The device according to claim 5, further comprising a layer of fabric material underlying said bottom portion.
7. The device according to claim 1, wherein said bottom portion is tangentially attached on one side to said sleeve and detachably attached on an opposite side to said tangential attachment to said sleeve.
8. The device according to claim 7, wherein said bottom portion is detachably attachable on one side to said sleeve with corresponding mating hook and loop fasteners.
9. The device according to claim 1, wherein said bottom portion is located a predetermined distance inwardly from a bottom edge of said sleeve so as to allow a gap between said bottom edge of said sleeve and said bottom portion.
10. The device according to claim 1, wherein said sleeve further comprises means for temporary attachment of a folded sleeve engaged with said bracket to a surface area adjacent to said engaged sleeve.
11. The device according to claim 1, wherein said elongated bracket is of sufficient length to sequentially engaged said piping or welt material of two or more sleeves.

What is claimed is:
1. A method of defoliating plants comprising applying to plants an effective amount of a first active ingredient selected from the group consisting of substituted nitroguanidine and cyanoguanidine compounds of the formula (I):

wherein R1 is NO2 or CN; R2 is CH3, C2 H5, CF3, n-C3 H7, CH2 OCH3 or CH2CHCH2; X is hydrogen, o-F, m-F, p-F, m-OCH3, m-OH or p-Cl; and
the salts, tautomers and optical isomers thereof;
an effective amount of a second active ingredient selected from the group consisting of thidiazuron, diuron, ethephon, protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) inhibitor herbicides; and,
optionally, an adjuvant;
wherein the weight ratio of the first active ingredient to the second active ingredient is from about 1:0.05 to about 1:200.
2. A method according to claim 1, wherein the application rate of the first active ingredient is from about 0.03 to about 0.5 lbsacre and the application rate of the second active ingredient is from about 0.005 to about 10 lbsacre.
3. A method according to claim 1, wherein the first active ingredient is selected from the group consisting of () isomers, ()-isomers and mixtures thereof of guanidine compounds having the formula:

wherein R1 is NO2 or CN; R2 is CH3, C2 H5 or CF3; and X is hydrogen, o-F, m-F, p-F, m-OCH3, m-OH or p-Cl.
4. A method according to claim 1, wherein the first active ingredient is 1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine.
5. A method according to claim 4, wherein the 1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine is ()-1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine.
6. A method according to claim 4, comprising applying to plants 1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine at a rate of from about 0.03 to about 0.5 lbsacre and the second active ingredient at a rate of from about 0.005 to about 10 lbacre.
7. A method according to claim 6, wherein the 1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine is ()-1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine.
8. A method according to claim 1, wherein the plant is cotton.
9. A method according to claim 1, comprising applying to plants an effective amount of a composition comprising 1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine and thidiazuron.
10. A method of inhibiting leaf regrowth in cotton comprising applying to cotton an effective amount of a guanidine compound having the formula (I):

wherein R1 is NO2 or CN; R2 is CH3, C2 H5 or CF3; and X is hydrogen, o-F, m-F, p-F, m-OCH3, m-OH or p-Cl, and the salts, tautomers and optical isomers thereof.
11. A method according to claim 10, wherein the guanidine compound is 1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine.
12. A method according to claim 10, wherein the guanidine compound is in the form of a composition comprising the guanidine compound and an ingredient selected from herbicides, adjuvants, plant growth regulators, fertilizers and defoliants other than guanidine compounds having the formula (I).
13. A method according to claim 10, wherein the guanidine compound is in the form of a composition comprising the a guanidine compound and an adjuvant selected from crop oil concentration, vegetable oil concentrate, ammonium sulfate and combinations thereof
14. A method according to claim 10, wherein the guanidine compound is in the form of a composition further comprising from about 0.2% to about 1%, by volume, adjuvant.
15. A method of inhibiting leaf regrowth in cotton comprising applying to cotton an effective amount of a first active ingredient selected from the group consisting of () isomers and ()-isomers of guanidine compounds having the formula:

wherein R1 is NO2 or CN; R2 is CH3, C2 H5 or CF3; and X is hydrogen, o-F, m-F, p-F, m-OCH3, m-OH or p-Cl;
an effective amount of a second active ingredient selected from the group consisting of thidiazuron, diuron, ethephon, protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) inhibitor herbicides, ammonium sulfate and combinations thereof;
and, optionally, adjuvant.
16. A method according to claim 15, wherein the first active ingredient is 1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine and the second active ingredient is thidiazuron and further wherein the weight ratio of 1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine and thidiazuron from about 1:0.05 to about 1:200.
17. A method according to claim 15, wherein the first active ingredient is () 1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine.
18. A method according to claim 15, wherein the first active ingredient comprises a guanidine compound selected from the group consisting of () 1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine, () 1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine and combinations thereof.
19. A composition comprising a first ingredient selected from the group consisting of substituted nitroguanidine and cyanoguanidine compounds of the formula (1):

wherein R1 is NO2 or CN; R2 is CH3, C2 H5, CF3, n-C3 H7, CH2 OCH3 or CH2CHCH2; X is hydrogen, o-F, m-F, p-F, m-OCH3, m-OH or p-Cl; and
the salts, tautomers and optical isomers thereof; and
and a second ingredient selected from the group consisting of herbicides, adjuvants, plant growth regulators, desiccant, boll opening compounds, pesticides, fertilizers and defoliants other than guanidine compounds having the formula (I);
wherein the composition is in the form of a liquid comprising the first ingredient and the second ingredients at amounts sufficient to provide from about 0.03 to about 0.5 lbacre of first ingredient and from about 0.005 to about 10 lbacre of second ingredient.
20. A composition according to claim 19, wherein the composition is in the form of a liquid comprising from about 0.2% to about 1%, by volume, adjuvant.
21. A composition according to claim 19, wherein the second ingredient is present in an amount sufficient to enhance the defoliation andor regrowth control activity of the first ingredient.
22. A method according to claim 1, wherein the first ingredient is 1-(-ethylbenzyl)-3-nitroguanidine.
