1. A method executed by a computer, comprising:
displaying continually-incoming time series data in a visualization screen, wherein the displaying comprises:
in response to detecting that the visualization screen has become full with first time series data, overwriting a first portion of the first time series data displayed in the visualization screen with additional incoming time series data of the continually-incoming data such that the additional incoming time series data replaces the first portion of the first time series data in the visualization screen,
maintaining a second portion of the first time series data unshifted even though the additional incoming time series data has been added to the visualization screen.
2. The method of claim 1, further comprising inserting a gap between the additional incoming time series data and the second portion of the first time series data to provide a separation between the additional incoming time series data and the second portion in the visualization screen.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein inserting the gap comprises inserting the gap that is assigned a background color.
4. The method of claim 2, further comprising:
receiving further additional incoming time series data of the continually-incoming time series data;
overwriting, in the visualization screen, the gap with the further additional incoming time series data; and
inserting another gap in the visualization screen after the further additional incoming time series data, the another gap replacing a part of the second portion such that a reduced portion of the first time series data remains displayed on the visualization screen, the reduced portion remaining unshifted in the visualization screen.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the continually-incoming time series data comprises displaying the continually-incoming time series data starting at a first side of the visualization screen and progressing to a second side of the visualization screen, wherein overwriting the first portion comprises overwriting the first portion at the first side of the visualization screen.
6. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the continually-incoming time series data comprises displaying the continually-incoming time series data as a row containing color-based cells representing corresponding data records of the continually-incoming time series data.
7. The method of claim 6, further comprising assigning colors to the cells according to a coloring attribute of the corresponding data records.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the time series data comprises displaying continually-incoming real-time data.
9. The method of claim 8, wherein displaying the real-time data comprises displaying the real-time data from data sources over a network.
10. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the continually-incoming time series data further comprises:
displaying the continually-incoming time series data in plural columns of the visualization screen corresponding to plural time intervals.
11. The method of claim 10, wherein overwriting the first portion of the first time series data comprises overwriting a group of the first time series data that includes more than one of the plural columns.
12. The method of claim 10, wherein displaying the continually-incoming time series data further comprises displaying the continually-incoming time series data in a row in the visualization screen, where intersection of the row and a corresponding one of the columns provides a sub-array of cells representing data records of the time series data.
13. The method of claim 1, wherein overwriting the first portion of the first time series data comprises overwriting an oldest portion of the first time series data.
14. The method of claim 13, wherein inserting the gap in the visualization screen between the additional incoming time series data and the second portion of the first time series data comprises inserting the gap that overwrites a second oldest portion of the first time series data in the visualization screen.
15. The method of claim 1, further comprising providing information technology services, wherein the displaying is part of the information technology services.
16. A method executed by a computer, comprising:
receiving real-time data for display in a visualization screen;
determining whether the visualization screen is full;
in response to determining that the visualization screen is not full, inserting newly received real-time data after existing real-time data in the visualization screen;
in response to determining that the visualization screen is full,
overwriting a first portion of the existing real-time data displayed in the visualization screen with the newly received real-time data, and
maintaining a second portion of the existing real-time data displayed in the visualization screen unshifted even though the newly received real-time data has been added to the visualization screen.
17. The method of claim 16, further comprising displaying data records of the real-time data as cells within the visualization screen.
18. The method of claim 17, further comprising assigning colors to the cells according to values of a coloring attribute of the data records.
19. An article comprising at least one computer-readable storage medium containing instructions that when executed cause a computer to:
receive continually-incoming time series data; and
display the continually-incoming time series data in a visualization screen, wherein the displaying comprises:
in response to detecting that the visualization screen has become full with first time series data, overwrite a first portion of the first time series data displayed in the visualization screen with additional incoming time series data of the continually-incoming data such that the additional incoming time series data replaces the first portion of the first time series data in the visualization screen, and
maintain a second portion of the first time series data unshifted even though the additional incoming data has been added to the visualization screen.
20. The article of claim 19, wherein the displaying further comprises:
inserting a gap in the visualization screen between the additional incoming time series data and the second portion of the first time series data to provide a separation between the additional incoming time series data and the second portion in the visualization screen.
21. The article of claim 19, wherein displaying the continually-incoming time series data comprises displaying the continually-incoming time series data starting at a first side of the visualization screen and progressing to a second side of the visualization screen, wherein overwriting the first portion comprises overwriting the first portion at the first side of the visualization screen.
22. The article of claim 19, wherein overwriting the first portion at the first side of the visualization screen comprises overwriting an oldest portion of the first time series data.
23. The article of claim 19, wherein displaying the continually-incoming time series data in the visualization screen comprises displaying real-time time series data in the visualization screen.

determining that a user desires to access restricted information controlled by an information provider;
without intervention by the user, accessing user authentication information associated with the information provider;
without intervention by the user, providing the user authentication information to the information provider;
without intervention by the user, requesting that the information provider authenticate the user authentication information; and
subsequent to the requesting, providing the user with the restricted information.
2. A consumer purchase method comprising:
a consumer establishing communication between a personal access device and a point of sale terminal, the personal access device storing financial information associated with the consumer;
the point of sale terminal requesting user authentication information associated with the personal access device from the consumer;
based on the user authentication information, the point of sale terminal retrieving the financial information from the personal access device; and
securing payment for goods andor services using the financial information.
