What is claimed is:
1. Device for fastening a ceiling covering made of leather or imitation leather in a roof cutout for a sliding roof which is arranged in a molded ceiling element and which can be inserted in a vehicle roof, and the ceiling covering is pulled around an upright edge of the roof cutout and can be glued to the molded ceiling element,
wherein, on corners of a rounded cutout of the ceiling element, corner clamping pieces are arranged on an exterior side of the ceiling element, which corner clamping pieces consist of an angle profile, and the ceiling covering is held between an upright leg of the angle profile and an edge of the roof cutout.
2. Device according to claim 1, wherein, in its leg, the respective corner clamping pieces have prongs each facing the upright edge of the ceiling element, in which prongs the covering is held which follows in a contacting manner the course of the cutout rounded on the corner side.
3. Device according to claim 1, wherein the respective corner clamping pieces are connected with the ceiling element by means of a clamping frame fastened thereto, which clamping frame comprises several bendable fastening lugs which are arranged to correspond with slots of the corner clamping pieces.
4. Device according to claim 2, wherein the respective corner clamping pieces are connected with the ceiling element by means of a clamping frame fastened thereto, which clamping frame comprises several bendable fastening lugs which are arranged to correspond with slots of the corner clamping pieces.
5. Device according to claim 1, wherein, at least on a straight-extending edge area of the cutout, straight clamping pieces are arranged, and at the rounded corner areas of the cutout, the corner clamping pieces are arranged which approximately form a quarter circle.
6. Device according to claim 1, wherein the corner clamping pieces are held on the clamping frame by way of studs by means of holding nuts or rivets.
7. Device according to claim 2, wherein the corner clamping pieces are held on the clamping frame by way of studs by means of holding nuts or rivets.
8. Device according to claim 3, wherein the corner clamping pieces are held on the clamping frame by way of studs by means of holding nuts or rivets.
9. Device according to claim 4, wherein the corner clamping pieces are held on the clamping frame by way of studs by means of holding nuts or rivets.
10. Device according to claim 5, wherein the corner clamping pieces are held on the clamping frame by way of studs by means of holding nuts or rivets.
11. A corner clamping piece for fastening a ceiling covering in a roof cutout of a passenger vehicle sliding roof, which roof cutout is arranged in a molded ceiling element which can be inserted in a vehicle roof, said ceiling covering being pulled in use around an upright edge of the roof cutout and can be glued to the ceiling element, said corner clamping piece being formed as an angle profile member with an upright leg which in use clampingly holds the ceiling covering between the upright leg and an edge of the roof cutout.
12. A corner clamping piece according to claim 11, wherein the upright leg has prongs which face and engage into the edge of the roof cutout.
13. A roof assembly for a passenger vehicle comprising:
a vehicle roof,
a roof cutout for a sliding roof in said vehicle roof,
a ceiling covering disposed on a side of the vehicle roof which in use faces a passenger space, said ceiling covering being arranged on a molded ceiling element which can be attached to the vehicle roof, said ceiling covering being pulled around an upright edge of the roof cutout and being glued to the molded ceiling element, and at least one corner clamping piece for fastening the ceiling cover to the molded ceiling element at the respective rounded corner of the roof cutout,
wherein the at least one cover clamping piece is formed as an angle profile with an upright leg, which upright leg clamps the ceiling covering to a facing upright edge of the roof cutout.
14. A roof assembly according to claim 13, wherein said upright leg has prongs facing the upright edge of the roof covering, said ceiling covering being held in said prongs.
15. A roof assembly according to claim 13, wherein four of said corner clamping pieces are provided one each at respective rounded corners of the roof cutout.
16. A room assembly according to claim 14, wherein four of said corner clamping pieces are provided one each at respective rounded corners of the roof cutout.
17. A roof assembly according to claim 15, wherein the respective corner clamping pieces are connected with the ceiling element by means of a clamping frame fastened thereto, which clamping frame comprises several bendable fastening lugs which are arranged to correspond with slots of the corner clamping pieces.
18. A roof assembly according to claim 17, wherein, at least on a straight-extending edge area of the cutout, straight clamping pieces are arranged, and at the rounded corner areas of the cutout, the corner clamping pieces are arranged which approximately form a quarter circle.
19. A roof assembly according to claim 15, wherein the corner clamping pieces are held on the clamping frame by way of studs by means of holding nuts or rivets.
20. A roof assembly according to claim 13, wherein said at least one clamping piece is a sheet metal member.
21. A roof assembly according to claim 13, wherein said ceiling covering is made of one of leather and imitation leather.
22. A method of making a roof assembly according to claim 13, comprising prestressing the ceiling covering at the rounded corner and clamping the ceiling covering in a prestressed condition to the roof cutout using the at least one corner clamping piece.

1. A liquid crystal display device comprising:
a plurality of pixel electrodes formed of a frame-shaped connection electrode and electrode bodies arranged in parallel to one another in a frame of the connection electrode and supported by and connected to the connection electrode; and
a common electrode insulated from the plurality of pixel electrodes.
2. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 1,
further comprising a wiring line connected to a thin-film transistor for driving each of the pixel electrodes and disposed via an insulating film in such a way that the wiring line and the common electrode sandwich the pixel electrode,
wherein the connection electrode of the pixel electrode overlays the wiring line.
3. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 2,
wherein the wiring line is a signal line.
4. The liquid crystal display device according to any of claims 1 to 3,
further comprising a liquid crystal layer between a substrate on which the pixel electrodes are arranged and a counter substrate on which the common electrode is provided.
5. The liquid crystal display device according to any of claims 1 to 3,
wherein each of the pixel electrodes has a plurality of areas in which the electrode bodies extend in respective different directions.
6. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 5,
wherein a slit is provided between the areas.
7. The liquid crystal display device according to any of claims 1 to 6,
wherein liquid crystal molecules driven by the pixel electrodes have negative dielectric anisotropy.
8. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 7,
wherein an orientation film that covers the pixel electrodes has a pretilt angle of 89.5 degrees or smaller.
9. The liquid crystal display device according to any one of claims 1 to 8,
wherein a plurality of pixels formed of adjacent ones of the pixel electrodes form one unit pixel.
10. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 9,
further comprising a wiring line connected to a thin-film transistor for driving each of the pixel electrodes and disposed via an insulating film in such a way that the wiring line and the common electrode sandwich the pixel electrode,
wherein the plurality of pixels that form any of the unit pixels are driven at different threshold values, and
among the plurality of pixels, the connection electrode of the pixel electrode in a pixel driven at a low threshold value is disposed in a position where the connection electrode is shifted from at least part of the wiring line.
11. An electronic apparatus comprising:
a display panel including
a plurality of pixel electrodes formed of a frame-shaped connection electrode and electrode bodies arranged in parallel to one another in a frame of the connection electrode and supported by and connected to the connection electrode, and
a common electrode insulated from the plurality of pixel electrodes.
