1. A method comprising;
receiving audio input associated with a user reading a sequence of words from a physical text; and
comparing at least a portion of the received audio input to stored information about the locations of words in the physical text to determine a location from which the user is reading.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the information about the locations of words in the physical text comprises an electronic file having foreknowledge of the words from the physical text.
3. The method of claim 2, further comprising receiving an electronic file.
4. The method of claim 3, wherein
the physical text comprises a book; and
receiving the electronic file comprises receiving the electronic file from a publisher of the book.
5. The method of claim 2, wherein comparing the received audio input to words in an electronic file comprises matching a sequence of words in the electronic file to a sequence of words in the audio input to generate a matched sequence.
6. The method of claim 5, further comprising determining if the matched sequence occurs at more than one location in the physical text.
7. The method of claim 6, further comprising comparing additional words from the audio input to the words in the electronic file if the matched sequence occurs at more than one location in the electronic file.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein matching a sequence of words comprises determining if one or more words in the sequence of words is included in a set of non-indexed words and matching only the words in the audio input that are not included in the set of non-indexed words,
9. The method of claim 2, further comprising determining a number of words in the audio input and matching the sequence of words only if the number of words in the audio input is greater than a predetermined threshold.
10. The method of claim 9, wherein the physical text includes at least some indexed words and at least some non-indexed words and the number of words comprises a number of indexed words.
11. The method of claim 1, wherein comparing the at least a portion of the received audio input to the stored information about the locations of words in the physical text to determine the location from which the user is reading comprises;
matching a minimum sequence of words in the input file to a words in the electronic file to generate one or more matched sequences; and
determining if the one or more matched sequences satisfy a minimum probability threshold.
12. The method of claim 1, wherein comparing the at least a portion of the received audio input to the stored information about the locations of words in the physical text to determine the location from which the user is reading comprises:
matching a first word in the input file to a word that occurs one or more times in the electronic file;
determining if a second word in the input file matches a word subsequent to the first matched word in the electronic file; and
determining if a third word in the input file matches a word subsequent to the first matched word and subsequent to the second word in the electronic file.
13. A computer program product, tangibly embodied in an information carrier, for executing instructions on a processor, the computer program product being operable to cause a machine to:
receive audio input associated with a user reading a sequence of words from a physical text;
compare at least a portion of the received audio input to stored information about the locations of words in the physical text to determine a location from which the user is reading.
14. The computer program product of claim 13, wherein the information about the locations of words in the physical text comprises an electronic file having foreknowledge of the words from the physical text.
15. The computer program product of claim 13, wherein
the physical text comprises a book and the computer program product is further configured to cause the machine to receive the electronic file comprises receiving the electronic file from a publisher of the book.
16. The computer program product of claim 13, wherein the computer program product is operable to cause the machine to determining a number of words in the audio input and match the sequence of words only if the number of words in the audio input is greater than a predetermined threshold.
17. The computer program product of claim 13, wherein the computer program product is operable to cause the machine to:
match a first word in the input file to a word that occurs one or more times in the electronic file;
determine if a second word in the input file matches a word subsequent to the first matched word in the electronic file; and
determine if a third word in the input file matches a word subsequent to the first matched word and subsequent to the second word in the electronic file.
18. A system comprising:
a memory having an electronic file with information about a sequence of words in a physical text stored thereon; and
a processor configured to:
receive audio input associated with a user reading a sequence of words from a physical text;
compare at least a portion of the received audio input to stored information about the locations of words in the physical text to determine a location from which the user is reading.
19. The system of claim 18, wherein the information about the locations of words in the physical text comprises an electronic file having foreknowledge of the words from the physical text.

1. An image forming device comprising:
a main body;
a holder configured to hold a recording medium;
a tray arranged above said holder in an operational state of the image forming device and configured to be pulled out from the main body separately from said holder, the tray having first and second supported parts; and
a support configured to support the first supported part of said tray at a portion proximal to said main body when the tray is pulled out, wherein
the second supported part is located at a distal portion of the tray when the tray is pulled out from the main body, the second supported part being configured to provide support, directly or via a supporting part, for the tray when the image forming device is located on a surface.
2. The image forming device as set forth in claim 1, further comprising a supporting part which is configured to contact the surface and provide support for the second supported part when the tray has been pulled out from the main body.
3. The image forming device as set forth in claim 2, wherein said supporting part is configured to be housed within said main body.
4. The image forming device as set forth in claim 2, wherein said supporting part is configured to be movable in relation to said main body, the supporting part further including a rolling member which is configured to be rollable when in contact with the surface.
5. The image forming device as set forth in claim 2, wherein said supporting part further comprises legs mounted to extend distally from said tray toward the surface when the image forming device is located on the surface.
6. The image forming device as set forth in claim 5, wherein the legs are mounted detachably on said tray.
7. The image forming device as set forth in claim 2, wherein said supporting part is movable with respect to said main body independently of said tray.
8. The image forming device as set forth in claim 2, wherein the supporting part is configured to support the tray such that the tray is substantially parallel to the surface.
9. The image forming device as set forth in claim 1, further comprising a pivot support configured to pivotably support said tray centered about said first supported part, said tray being configured such that, when pulled out from said main body, a portion distal to said first supported part pivots downward towards the surface.
10. The image forming device as set forth in claim 1, wherein said tray is configured to be detachable from the main body.
11. The image forming device as set forth in claim 1, wherein the tray is configured to hold a developing apparatus.
12. The image forming device as set forth in claim 11, wherein a plurality of developing apparatuses configured to perform development using developer images of different colors are placed in said tray.
13. An image forming device comprising:
a main body;
a holder configured to hold a recording medium;
a tray arranged above said holder in an operational state of the image forming device and configured to be pulled out from the main body separately from the holder, the tray having first and second supported parts; and
a support configured to support the first supported part of said tray at a portion proximal to the main body when the tray is pulled out from the main body to a pulled out position, the support including a pivot support configured to pivotably support said tray centered about said first supported part,
wherein a portion of the tray distal to said first supported part is configured to slope in a downward direction when said tray is pulled out from the main body to the pulled out position.
14. The image forming device as set forth in claim 13, wherein said first supported part is provided at a proximal end of said tray of the main body in the pull-out direction, and said pivot support is provided at a distal end of the main body in said pull-out direction.
15. The image forming device as set forth in claim 13, further comprising means for providing an indication when the tray is being pulled out of the main body indicating that the tray is approaching a pivoting position where pivoting of the tray is configured to occur based on support by said pivot support.
16. The image forming device as set forth in claim 13, further comprising a resistance imparting mechanism configured to impart a force resisting the sliding of said tray.
17. The image forming device as set forth in claim 13, further comprising a member configured to constrain pivoting of said tray upward from a horizontal state.
18. The image forming device as set forth in claim 13, further comprising a main body casing, wherein said pivot support is configured to be displaced between an in-use position where the pivot support is pulled-out from the main body casing, and a retracted position in which the pivot support is housed within the main body casing.
19. The image forming device as set forth in claim 13, wherein said tray is configured to be detachable from the main body.
20. The image forming device as set forth in claim 13, wherein the tray is configured to hold a developing apparatus.
21. The image forming device as set forth in claim 20, wherein a plurality of developing apparatuses configured to perform development using developer images of different colors are placed in said tray.
