1. A method comprising:
by first program instructions on a first computing device,
identifying a candidate application to be installed on the first computing device;
identifying a trusted user that a user of the first computing device has identified and indicated as being trusted;
receiving from a second computing device, an indication of installation activity of said candidate application by said trusted user on said second computing device; and
determining whether to install the candidate application on the first computing device in dependence upon the indication of installation activity.
2. The method of claim 1 further comprising, responsive to determining to install the candidate application, installing the candidate application using preferences of the trusted user.
3. The method of claim 1 identifying the trusted user includes specifying, by the user of the first computing device, the trusted user.
4. The method of claim 1 wherein identifying the trusted user includes identifying types of installation activity associated with each trusted user.
5. The method of claim 1 further comprising storing in a repository, information identifying the installation activity associated with one or more applications for each trusted user.
6. The method of claim 5 further comprising displaying the installation activity associated with the candidate application for said trusted user.
7. The method of claim 1 further comprising:
transmitting to the second computing device, a request for input from the trusted user and corresponding to the candidate application;
receiving from the second computing device, the input; and
wherein determining whether to install the candidate application further comprises determining whether to install the candidate application in dependence upon the input.
The claims below are in addition to those above.
All refrences to claim(s) which appear below refer to the numbering after this setence.
1. A gear train lubricating device configured to supply lubricating oil to a gear included in a gear train, the gear train lubricating device comprising:
a shroud covering, among components constituting the gear, at least teeth of the gear; and
a lubricating oil supply port through which the lubricating oil is supplied to a meshing position of the gear, wherein
the shroud has an outlet port formed therein, through which the supplied lubricating oil is discharged, and
the outlet port is formed in a portion of the shroud that is positioned radially outward from the gear, such that the outlet port is disposed at an angular position that is 90\xb0\xb115\xb0 forward from the meshing position in a rotation direction of the gear.
2. The gear train lubricating device according to claim 1, wherein the outlet port has an angular width of 45\xb0\xb17\xb0 with respect to a central axis of the gear.
3. The gear train lubricating device according to claim 1, wherein
the shroud includes:
an outer peripheral wall covering the gear from radially outward; and
side walls connected to both side edges, respectively, of the outer peripheral wall and covering side faces of the teeth.
4. The gear train lubricating device according to claim 3, wherein
the outlet port has a width in a direction of the central axis, the width being substantially equal to an internal gap between the side walls.
5. The gear train lubricating device according to claim 3, wherein a gap between the outer peripheral wall of the shroud and tooth tips of the teeth is 0.5 to 1.5 times greater than a depth of the teeth.
6. The gear train lubricating device according to claim 3, wherein
a gap between each of the side walls and a side face opposed thereto of the teeth is 5\xb11 mm.
7. The gear train lubricating device according to any one of claim 1, wherein
the lubricating oil supply port is positioned away from the meshing position in a direction opposite to the rotation direction of the gear, and is configured to supply the lubricating oil to the meshing position.
8. The gear train lubricating device according to any one of claim 1, wherein
a peripheral speed at a pitch circle of the gear is 50 to 120 msec.
