1. A method for loading and managing a software application in a mobile equipment intended to receive digital data for mobile television services broadcast via a unidirectional mobile network, the mobile equipment comprising a memory for storing the software application the mobile equipment further comprising at least a security module, said software application being associated with broadcast mobile television services, the method comprising:
transmitting, upon connection of the mobile equipment to a bidirectional mobile network different from the unidirectional mobile network, identification data of the mobile equipment and of the security module to a managing center; and
reading by the system software of the mobile equipment a descriptor stored in the security module designating a server of the managing center suitable for providing the mobile equipment with the software application or an update of said software application by downloading into said mobile equipment via the bidirectional mobile network.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the descriptor stored in the security module corresponds to an IP address of a server of the managing center suitable for providing at least one security application for protecting the data of mobile television services broadcast via the unidirectional mobile network
3. The method of claim 2, wherein the IP address is registered in the security module at manufacturing respectively during personalization steps of said security module.
4. The method of claim 3, wherein the IP address stored in the security module depends on the manufacturer andor of the model andor of the version of said security module.
5. The method of claim 2, wherein the application to be downloaded into the mobile equipment, via the server designated by the IP address of the security module, is specific either to the type andor the version of the security module, or to the model andor the version of the mobile equipment or to both characteristics at once.
6. The method of claim 1, wherein the application is updated after identification of the configuration of the mobile equipment andor of the security module by the managing center via the bidirectional network.
7. The method of claim 1, wherein the application installed in the mobile equipment verifies automatically, at predetermined periods, the availability of the updates, using the IP address stored in the security module, in order to download them if necessary.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein the managing center transmits a message to the mobile equipment containing version information for available updates, the security module compares the version information of the message with version information for the application installed in the mobile equipment in order to initiate downloading, via the server designated by the IP address, if the available version is higher than the version information for the installed software application.
9. The method of claim 1, wherein the security module verifies the loaded update by comparing a signature of said update generated by said security module with a signature provided by the managing center, and in case of a difference, the security module restricts or blocks functionalities of the mobile equipment.
10. The method of claim 9, wherein the security module generates the sending of short messages to the managing center when the comparison shows a difference.
11. A security module for mobile equipment intended to receive digital data corresponding to mobile television services broadcast via a unidirectional mobile network, the security module comprising a memory for storing at least one descriptor designating a server of a managing center suitable for providing the mobile equipment with an application or an update of the application by downloading into said mobile equipment.
12. The security module of claim 11, wherein the descriptor represents an IP address of a server suitable for providing at least one security application for protecting the digital data of mobile television services broadcast via the unidirectional mobile network.

1. A rotor body for a variable valve timing system for an engine, comprising
a main body comprising
a front side for engaging with a front side cover and a back side for engaging with a back side cover,
vanes for defining variable oil or air pressure chambers inside a stator housing, having vane tips for engaging with the stator housing,
channels for oil or air transport from one pressure chamber to other pressure chambers, and

a central part comprising an (axial) bore hole running from the front side to the back side for receiving a camshaft or a bolt for fixing to the camshaft,
wherein
the main body is comprised of a fibrous reinforced polymeric material and
the central part comprising the axial bore hole is made of metal,
the rotor body comprises
dynamic sealing elements (i) at the vane tips for engaging with the stator housing, and
dynamic sealing elements (ii) at the front side and the back side for engaging with the front side cover and the back side cover
wherein the dynamic sealing elements (i) and (ii) are made of a non-reinforced plastic material,

and wherein the metallic central part comprises protrusions protruding into the fibrous reinforced polymeric material andor holes filled with a fibrous reinforced material.
2. The rotor body according to claim 1, wherein the central part is made from machined metal, cast metal or sintered metal.
3. The rotor body according to claim 1, wherein the central metal part comprises a cylindrically shaped body with a cylindrical outer surface and protrusions on an outer surface protruding into the main body made of the fibrous reinforced polymeric material.
4. The rotor body according to claim 1, wherein the central part is installed into the rotor body via press fit, or by compression moulding or injection moulding of the polymeric material around the central part.
5. The rotor body according to claim 1, wherein the main body is comprised of an injection mouldable fibrous reinforced thermoplastic or thermosetting polymeric material.
6. The rotor body according to claim 1, wherein the sealing elements (i) and (ii) are made from an engineering polymer, PTFE or PTFE modified polymer.
7. The rotor body according to claim 1, wherein the sealing elements (i) are comprised by pockets at the vane tips.
8. The rotor body according to claim 1, wherein the sealing elements (ii) are comprised by grooves into the front and the back side, respectively.
9. The rotor body according to claim 1, wherein the channels for the oil or air transport are constituted by channels in the main body located at the surface at the front side and the back side of the main body, wherein the channels are covered with dynamic sealing elements (iii).
10. The rotor body according to claim 1, wherein
a. the central metal part comprises a cylindrically shaped body with a cylindrical outer surface and protrusions on an outer surface protruding into the main body made of the fibrous reinforced polymeric material; and
b. the channels for the oil or air transport are constituted by channels in the main body located at the surface at the front side and the back side of the main body, wherein the channels are covered with dynamic sealing elements (iii).
11. Variable valve timing system comprising an assembly of a rotor and a stator receiving the rotor on a camshaft, wherein the rotor is a rotor body according to claim 1, comprising a main body comprising a front side, a back side and vanes tips, made from a fibrous reinforced polymeric material, a central part comprising an (axial) bore hole made of metal, and sealing elements made of a non-reinforced polymeric material at the vain tips and at the front side and back side, wherein an end part of the camshaft andor a fixing element is received in the axial bore hole and the rotor is fixed at the end part of the camshaft with the fixing element.

1. An apparatus for use in coupling a sucker rod string to a downhole pump, comprising:
a) a hollow body having at least one upper fluid port and at least one lower fluid port;
b) an aperture in a lower portion of the body;
c) a plunger located in the hollow body, the plunger having two ends, the plunger structured and arranged to reciprocate in the body;
d) a first coupler attached to the body and structured and arranged to couple to the sucker rod string, a second coupler attached to one of the ends of the plunger and structured and arranged to couple to the pump;
e) the plunger having a fishing neck, the fishing neck on an opposite end of the plunger from the second coupler.
2. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the fishing neck comprises a shank having a smaller diameter than a main body of the plunger.
3. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein there are at least two upper fluid ports.
4. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the plunger has a portion with a noncircular transverse cross-section that cooperates with the body so as to limit relative rotational movement between the plunger and the body.
5. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the plunger rotates relative to the body.
6. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the plunger comprises a main body and a shaft that extends from the main body through the aperture to the second coupler, the main body being located between the fishing neck and the shaft.
7. An apparatus for use in coupling a sucker rod string to a downhole pump, comprising:
a) a hollow body having at least one upper fluid port and at least one lower fluid port;
b) an aperture in a lower portion of the body;
c) a plunger located in the hollow body, the plunger structured and arranged to reciprocate in the body, the plunger having an upper end portion;
d) a first coupler attached to the body and structured and arranged to couple to the sucker rod string, a second coupler attached to the plunger and structured and arranged to couple to the pump;
e) the plunger upper end portion having a fishing neck;
f) the fishing neck is located between the upper fluid port and the first coupler.
8. An apparatus for use in coupling a sucker rod string to a downhole pump, comprising:
a) a hollow body having at least one upper fluid port and at least one lower fluid port;
b) an aperture in a lower portion of the body;
c) a plunger located in the hollow body, the plunger structured and arranged to reciprocate in the body, the plunger having an upper end portion;
d) a first coupler attached to the body and structured and arranged to couple to the sucker rod string, a second coupler attached to the plunger and structured and arranged to couple to the pump;
e) the plunger upper end portion having a fishing neck;
f) the fishing neck comprises a head and a throat, the head having an outside diameter that is less than an outside diameter of the plunger.
9. An apparatus for use in coupling a sucker rod string to a downhole pump, comprising:
a) a hollow body having at least one upper fluid port and at least one lower fluid port;
b) an aperture in a lower portion of the body;
c) a plunger located in the hollow body, the plunger structured and arranged to reciprocate in the body, the plunger having an upper end portion;
d) a first coupler attached to the body and structured and arranged to couple to the sucker rod string, a second coupler attached to the plunger and structured and arranged to couple to the pump;
e) the plunger upper end portion having a fishing neck;
f) the fishing neck is located between the upper fluid port and the first coupler;
g) the fishing neck comprises a head and a throat, the head having an outside diameter that is less than the outside diameter of the plunger;
h) there are at least two upper fluid ports.
10. An apparatus for use in coupling a sucker rod string to a downhole pump, comprising:
a) a hollow body having at least one upper fluid port and at least one lower fluid port;
b) an aperture in a lower portion of the body;
c) a plunger located in the hollow body, the plunger structured and arranged to reciprocate in the body, the plunger having an upper end portion;
d) a first coupler attached to the body and structured and arranged to couple to the sucker rod string, a second coupler attached to the plunger and structured and arranged to couple to the pump;
e) the plunger upper end portion having a fishing neck;
f) the fishing neck is located between the upper fluid port and the first coupler;
g) the fishing neck comprises a shank having a smaller diameter than the main body of the plunger;
h) there are at least two upper fluid ports.

1. A method comprising:
processing a medical x-ray image in digital form to detect suspected abnormalities;
creating an annotated map of suspected abnormalities detected in said processing;
wherein said map shows both locations of suspected abnormalities and values related to confidence levels that suspected abnormalities are true abnormalities;
said confidence levels being user selectable; and
displaying both the x-ray image and the annotation map to a user.
2. A method as in claim 1 comprising supplying said x-ray image on film and digitizing the film to thereby generate the x-ray image in digital form that is processed in said processing.
3. A method as in claim 1 in which said processing includes converting said digital x-ray image from one digital format to another digital format.
4. A method as in claim 1 including selecting a first threshold of said confidence level and using a first notation to show suspected abnormalities in said map detected in accordance with the first threshold.
5. A method as in claim 4 including selecting an additional, second threshold of said confidence levels, different from the first threshold, and using a second notation, different from said first notation, to show suspected abnormalities detected in accordance with the second threshold.
6. A method as in claim 5 including selecting a third threshold, different from said first and second thresholds, and using a third notation, different from said first and second notations, to show suspected abnormalities detected in accordance with the third threshold.
7. A method as in claim 1 in which said map shows said values related to confidence levels as numerical values.
8. A method as in claim 1 in which said map shows said values related to confidence levels as different colors for different ranges of values.
9. A method as in claim 1 in which said map shows said values related to confidence levels as location markers that are differently sized in accordance with said values.
10. A method as in claim 1 in which said displaying comprises displaying said x-ray image on film at a lightbox and displaying an annotated map corresponding thereto at a monitor below and adjacent the displayed film.
11. A method as in claim 10 in which said displaying comprises displaying a reduced size version of the x-ray image superimposed and registered with said map at said monitor.
12. A method as in claim 1 in which said displaying comprises displaying said x-ray image in digital form at a monitor and displaying said annotated map on the same monitor, at a location spaced from at least a selected portion of the displayed x-ray image.
13. A method as in claim 1 including printing a film version of said x-ray image in digital form and of said annotated map, wherein said displaying comprises displaying said film version at a lightbox, with said annotated map spaced from a display of at least a selected portion of the displayed x-ray image.
14. A method as in claim 1 in which said x-ray image in digital form is a mammogram.
15. A method as in claim 14 including taking a film mammogram and generating said x-ray image in digital form therefrom.
16. A system comprising:
a source of a medical x-ray image in digital form;
a processor processing said x-ray image digitally to detect suspected abnormalities therein;
said processor creating as a result of said processing an annotated map showing both locations of suspected abnormalities and values related to a likelihood that the abnormalities are true abnormalities;
a display coupled with said processor to display both the x-ray image and said annotation map.
17. A system as in claim 14 in which said display comprises a first area displaying said x-ray image and a second area, spaced at least from a selected part of said first area and displaying said annotation map.
18. A system as in claim 16 in which said source of a medical x-ray image in digital form comprises a mammography imager.
19. A system as in claim 18 in which said mammography imager comprises a film mammograph and a digitizer converting film images therefrom into digital form.
20. A system as in claim 16 in which said processor creates an annotated map that uses a first notation to show suspected abnormalities having a first threshold of likelihood that they are true abnormalities.
21. A system as in claim 20 in which said processor creates an annotated map that further uses a second notation to show suspected abnormalities having a second threshold of likelihood that they are true abnormalities.
22. A system as in claim 21 in which said processor creates an annotated map that further uses a third notation to show suspected abnormalities having a third threshold of likelihood that they are true abnormalities.
23. A system as in claim 22 in which said notations are differently sized in accordance with said thresholds.
24. A system as in claim 22 in which said notations are differently colored in accordance with said thresholds.
25. A system as in claim 22 in which said notations are differently shaped in accordance with said thresholds.
