1. A method comprising:
by first program instructions on a first computing device,
identifying a candidate application to be installed on the first computing device;
identifying a trusted user that a user of the first computing device has identified and indicated as being trusted;
receiving from a second computing device, an indication of installation activity of said candidate application by said trusted user on said second computing device; and
determining whether to install the candidate application on the first computing device in dependence upon the indication of installation activity.
2. The method of claim 1 further comprising, responsive to determining to install the candidate application, installing the candidate application using preferences of the trusted user.
3. The method of claim 1 identifying the trusted user includes specifying, by the user of the first computing device, the trusted user.
4. The method of claim 1 wherein identifying the trusted user includes identifying types of installation activity associated with each trusted user.
5. The method of claim 1 further comprising storing in a repository, information identifying the installation activity associated with one or more applications for each trusted user.
6. The method of claim 5 further comprising displaying the installation activity associated with the candidate application for said trusted user.
7. The method of claim 1 further comprising:
transmitting to the second computing device, a request for input from the trusted user and corresponding to the candidate application;
receiving from the second computing device, the input; and
wherein determining whether to install the candidate application further comprises determining whether to install the candidate application in dependence upon the input.

1. A gear train lubricating device configured to supply lubricating oil to a gear included in a gear train, the gear train lubricating device comprising:
a shroud covering, among components constituting the gear, at least teeth of the gear; and
a lubricating oil supply port through which the lubricating oil is supplied to a meshing position of the gear, wherein
the shroud has an outlet port formed therein, through which the supplied lubricating oil is discharged, and
the outlet port is formed in a portion of the shroud that is positioned radially outward from the gear, such that the outlet port is disposed at an angular position that is 90\xb0\xb115\xb0 forward from the meshing position in a rotation direction of the gear.
2. The gear train lubricating device according to claim 1, wherein the outlet port has an angular width of 45\xb0\xb17\xb0 with respect to a central axis of the gear.
3. The gear train lubricating device according to claim 1, wherein
the shroud includes:
an outer peripheral wall covering the gear from radially outward; and
side walls connected to both side edges, respectively, of the outer peripheral wall and covering side faces of the teeth.
4. The gear train lubricating device according to claim 3, wherein
the outlet port has a width in a direction of the central axis, the width being substantially equal to an internal gap between the side walls.
5. The gear train lubricating device according to claim 3, wherein a gap between the outer peripheral wall of the shroud and tooth tips of the teeth is 0.5 to 1.5 times greater than a depth of the teeth.
6. The gear train lubricating device according to claim 3, wherein
a gap between each of the side walls and a side face opposed thereto of the teeth is 5\xb11 mm.
7. The gear train lubricating device according to any one of claim 1, wherein
the lubricating oil supply port is positioned away from the meshing position in a direction opposite to the rotation direction of the gear, and is configured to supply the lubricating oil to the meshing position.

a peripheral speed at a pitch circle of the gear is 50 to 120 msec.

1. A method for facilitating computer-assisted tagging of objects in a digital image, comprising:
using a computer to perform:
receiving locations for one or more objects-of-interest in the digital image;
automatically determining likelihoods of specific tags being assigned to the objects-of-interest;
automatically assigning tentative tags to the objects-of-interest based on the determined likelihoods;
displaying, on the computer, the assignments of tentative tags to a user; and
receiving corrections to the assignments from the user.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the digital image includes a set of related digital images.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the digital image comprises a portion of a video image sequence.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving the locations for the one or more objects-of-interest involves:
receiving the digital image; and
performing an object detection operation on the digital image to detect the objects-of-interest and to determine the locations of the objects-of-interest.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein automatically assigning the tentative tags to the objects-of-interest involves assigning the tentative tags based on information about similar assignments from related digital images.
6. The method of claim 1, wherein automatically assigning the tentative tags to the objects-of-interest involves assigning the tentative tags based on time stamps associated with the digital image and with related digital images.
7. The method of claim 1, wherein automatically assigning the tentative tags to the objects-of-interest involves assigning the tentative tags based on information about the similarity of areas in proximity to the objects in related digital images.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein automatically assigning the tentative tags to the objects-of-interest involves assigning the tentative tags based on probabilities that associated objects will appear together within a digital image.
9. The method of claim 1, wherein automatically assigning the tentative tags to the objects-of-interest involves using information about the orientation, position and scale of a given object within the digital image to determine a probability that the given object will be tagged.
10. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the assignments of the tentative tags to the objects-of-interest involves displaying the tentative tags in proximity to the associated objects in the digital image.
11. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the assignments of the tentative tags to the objects-of-interest involves displaying the objects grouped by tentative tag assignments.
12. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the assignments of the tentative tags to the objects-of-interest involves displaying a set of most likely tentative tags for each object.
13. The method of claim 1, wherein in addition to automatically assigning tentative tags to the objects-of-interest, the method further comprises allowing the user to manually assign tags to objects.
14. The method of claim 1, wherein the method further comprises ceasing to display objects which have been tagged (or have had tag assignments confirmed) by the user.
15. The method of claim 1, further comprising using the assigned tags to facilitate subsequent operations involving the digital image andor a set of related digital images.
16. A computer-readable storage device storing instructions that when executed by a computer cause the computer to perform a method for facilitating computer-assisted tagging of objects in a digital image, the method comprising:
receiving locations for one or more objects-of-interest in the digital image;
automatically determining likelihoods of specific tags being assigned to the objects-of-interest;
automatically assigning tentative tags to the objects-of-interest based on the determined likelihoods;
displaying the assignments of tentative tags to a user; and
receiving corrections to the assignments from the user.
17. The computer-readable storage device of claim 16, wherein the digital image includes a set of related digital images.
18. The computer-readable storage device of claim 16, wherein the digital image comprises a portion of a video image sequence.
19. The computer-readable storage device of claim 16, wherein receiving the locations for the one or more objects-of-interest involves:
receiving the digital image; and
performing an object detection operation on the digital image to detect the objects-of-interest and to determine the locations of the objects-of-interest.

28. The computer-readable storage device of claim 16, wherein in addition to automatically assigning tentative tags to the objects-of-interest, the method further comprises allowing the user to manually assign tags to objects.

31. An apparatus that facilitates computer-assisted tagging of objects in a digital image, comprising:
a receiving mechanism configured to receive locations for one or more objects-of-interest in the digital image;
a determination mechanism configured to automatically determine likelihoods of specific tags being assigned to the objects-of-interest;
an assignment mechanism configured to automatically assign tentative tags to the objects-of-interest based on the determined likelihoods;
a display mechanism configured to display the assignments of tentative tags to a user; and
a correction mechanism configured to receive corrections to the assignments, if any, from the user.

reading customer information of a customer from a card at a terminal;
allowing the customer to select a quasi-cash transaction at the terminal and generating an order authorizing the quasi-cash transaction when the customer selects the quasi-cash transaction;
retrieving the order and information for verifying an identity of the customer at a station;
receiving an electronic signature from the customer at the station;
placing the electronic signature on an image that includes a bank account number, a transit routing number and a place to specify who the quasi-cash transaction is being paid to.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the station includes a display that receives the electronic signature.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein the display displays the image.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein the image further includes an amount of the quasi-cash transaction and a name of the customer.
5. The method of claim 4, wherein the image further includes a name and location of a place where the quasi-cash transaction occurs.
6. The method of claim 4, wherein the image further includes a type of identification used for verifying the identity of the customer at the station.
7. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
displaying an option to the customer on a display included at the station that allows the customer to select, at the customer’s option, after the identity of the customer is verified, (1) an electronic endorsement from the customer and placement of the electronic endorsement in an electronic image or (2) cancelling of the quasi-cash transaction,
wherein the display includes a customer input device and the customer input device asks the customer to select (1) or (2) and receives the customer’s selection of (1) or (2) as input.
8. A system for making funds available for gaming, the system comprising:
a terminal which is configured to read customer information from a card, the terminal including an interface unit configured to allow a customer to select a quasi-cash transaction and to generate an order authorizing the quasi-cash transaction;
a station which is configured to retrieve the order and information for verifying an identity of the customer; and
a display included at the station, the display including a customer input device that is configured to receive an electronic signature from the customer,
wherein the display is configured to display an image that includes a bank account number, a transit routing number and a place to specify who the quasi-cash transaction is being paid to.
9. The system of claim 8, wherein the image further includes an amount of the quasi-cash transaction and a name of the customer.
10. The system of claim 9, wherein the image further includes a name and location of a place where the quasi-cash transaction occurs.
11. The system of claim 9, wherein the image further includes a type of identification that is used at the station to retrieve the information for verifying the identity of the customer.

displaying an option to the customer on a display included at the station that allows the customer to select, at the customer’s option, (1) an electronic endorsement from the customer and placement of the electronic endorsement in an electronic image or (2) a printout of a hard copy of a check for endorsement by the customer, wherein the display includes a customer input device and the customer input device asks the customer to select (1) or (2) and receives the customer’s selection of (1) or (2) as input.
14. The method of claim 13, wherein the display displays a bank account number, a transit routing number and a place to specify who the quasi-cash transaction is being paid to.
15. The method of claim 14, wherein the display further displays an amount of the quasi-cash transaction and a name of the customer.

a display included at the station, the display including a customer input device that is configured to ask the customer to choose, at the customer’s option, to (1) obtain an electronic endorsement from the customer and place the electronic endorsement in an electronic image or (2) print out a hard copy of a check for endorsement by the customer, and that is configured to receive the customer’s choice of (1) or (2) as input.
19. The system of claim 18, wherein the display is configured to display an image that includes a bank account number, a transit routing number and a place to specify who the quasi-cash transaction is being paid to.
