3. The compound according to claim 2, wherein X is O; and R1 is alkenyl of 2-3 carbon atoms, which is optionally substituted with hydroxyl, \u2014CN, halogen, trifluoroalkyl, trifluoroalkoxy, \u2014COR5, \u2014CO2R5, \u2014NO2, CONR5R6, NR5R6 or N(R5)COR6.
4. The compound of claim 3 wherein Q1 and Q2 are independently selected from \u2014S(O)2\u2014OH and a modified or unmodified hexose residue.
5. The compound of claim 4 wherein the modified hexose residue is a glucuronide residue.
6. The compound of claim 3 wherein Q1 and Q2 are independently selected from \u2014S(O)2\u2014OH and H.
7. The compound of claim 3 wherein Q1 and Q2 are independently selected from H and a modified or unmodified hexose residue.
8. The compound of claim 7 wherein the modified hexose residue is a glucuronide residue.

107. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound according to claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

1. A device for opening a locked door or drawer, which device comprises;
a) means for facilitating the insertion of a key into a lock, said means comprising a rotatable guide having a slot for accommodating the shank of a key and facilitating the entry of said key into a lock, said rotatable guide being rotatable independently of said lock in the absence of a key;
b) means for rotating said key when inserted; and
c) alignment means which, in use, will either return said slot to a position in which it is aligned with said lock to facilitate insertion of a key therein or will index said slot in such a position.
2. A device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said rotatable guide comprises a concave cavity to facilitate the passage of a key to said slot.
3. A device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said alignment means includes means to bias said rotatable guide to a predetermined position.
4. A device as claimed in claim 3, wherein said alignment means comprises a spring.
5. A device as claimed in claim 4, further comprising a backing plate having an opening through which can pass the body of a cylinder latch but not the head thereof so that said device can be secured to a door via said cylinder latch.
6. A device as claimed in claim 5, further comprising a cover removeably mounted on said backing plate, and said rotatable guide is rotatably mounted between said backing plate and said cover.
7. A device as claimed in claim 1, including a handle displaceable to rotate said rotatable guide.
8. A device as claimed in claim 7, wherein said handle has a recess to accommodate at least part of the head of a key when inserted in a lock, whereby when said handle is depressed said rotatable guide rotates and said key also rotates as a result of the recess in the reversible handle engaging against the head of the key.
9. A device as claimed in claim 7, wherein said handle comprises an elongate member which can be attached to said rotatable guide in two positions, one extending to one side of said rotatable guide and the other to the other side of said rotatable guide.
10. A door fitted with a lock having a device as claimed in claim 1 operatively associated therewith.
11. A drawer fitted with a lock having a device as claimed in claim 1 operatively associated therewith.
12. A device as claimed in claim 2, wherein said slot is positioned at the bottom of said concave cavity and extends upwardly on one side thereof.

1. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe comprising:
at least one sensor coupled to the tubepiping, wherein the at least one sensor comprises:
at least one cryogenic gas flow sensor coupled to a tubepipe where the cryogenic gas will flow for measuring a temperature of the tubepipe where the cryogenic gas will flow; and
a reference sensor coupled to an empty tubepipe where the cryogenic gas will not flow for measuring a temperature of the empty tubepipe;

an alarm circuit coupled to the at least one cryogenic gas flow sensor and the reference sensor for receiving measurement signals from the at least one cryogenic gas flow sensor and the reference sensor and for sending an alarm signal when the difference between measurement signals from the at least one cryogenic gas flow sensor and the reference sensor deviates from a predetermined level.
2. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe in accordance with claim 1 wherein the sensor is an external sensor coupled to an exterior surface of the tubepiping.
3. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe in accordance with claim 1 wherein the alarm circuit comprises:
at least one input terminal coupled to the at least one sensor; and
comparator coupled to the input terminal for comparing the input signal to a predetermined level and for sending an output alarm signal when the input signal deviates from the predetermined level.
4. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe in accordance with claim 1 wherein the alarm circuit comprises:
a plurality of input terminals wherein at least one input terminal is coupled to the at least one cryogenic gas flow sensor and wherein a second input terminal is coupled to the reference sensor; and
a comparator circuit coupled to the plurality of input terminals for comparing an input signal of the at least one cryogenic gas flow sensor and an input signal of the reference sensor and for sending an output alarm signal when the difference between the input signal of the at least one cryogenic gas flow sensor and the input signal of the reference sensor deviates from a predetermined level.
5. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe in accordance with claim 4 wherein the comparator circuit comprises:
a differential amplifier coupled to the plurality of input terminals;
at least one comparator coupled to an output of the differential amplifier; and
adjustment device coupled to the at least one comparator.
6. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe in accordance with claim 4 further comprising a plurality of output terminals coupled to the comparator circuit for sending the output signal of the comparator circuit to an alarm device.
7. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe in accordance with claim 6 wherein the alarm device is an audible alarm.
8. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe in accordance with claim 6 wherein the alarm device is a visual alarm.
9. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe in accordance with claim 6 wherein the alarm device is a remote alarm indicator device.
10. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe comprising:
at least one cryogenic gas flow sensor coupled to an exterior surface of a tubepipe where the cryogenic gas will flow for measuring a temperature of the tubepipe where the cryogenic gas will flow;
a reference sensor coupled to an empty tubepipe where the cryogenic gas will not flow for measuring a temperature of the empty tubepipe; and
an alarm circuit coupled to the sensor for receiving measurement signals from the at least one sensor and for sending an alarm signal when the measurement signal is above a predetermined level wherein the alarm circuit comprises:
a plurality of input terminals wherein at least one input terminal is coupled to the at least one cryogenic gas flow sensor and wherein a second input terminal is coupled to a reference sensor; and
a comparator circuit coupled to the plurality of input terminals for comparing an input signal of the at least one cryogenic gas flow sensor and an input signal of the reference sensor and for sending an output alarm signal when the difference between the input signal of the at least one cryogenic gas flow sensor and the input signal of the reference sensor deviates from a predetermined level.
11. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe in accordance with claim 10 wherein the comparator circuit comprises:
a differential amplifier coupled to the plurality of input terminals;
at least one comparator coupled to an output of the differential amplifier; and
adjustment device coupled to the at least one comparator.
12. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe in accordance with claim 10 further comprising a plurality of output terminals coupled to the comparator circuit for sending the output signal of the comparator circuit to an alarm device.
13. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe in accordance with claim 12 wherein the alarm device is an audible alarm.
14. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe in accordance with claim 12 wherein the alarm device is a visual alarm.
15. A sensor system for monitoring cryogenic gas flow through a tubepipe in accordance with claim 12 wherein the alarm device is a remote alarm indicator device.

a first synchronism section for detecting synchronism of a reception frame based on a first framing pattern of a first type frame;
a second synchronism section for detecting synchronism of the reception frame based on a second framing pattern of a second type frame;
a mapping section for mapping the reception frame to a third type frame based on the detections of synchronism by said first and second synchronism sections; and
an inhibit section for invalidating fault information set in the third type frame when said first synchronism section has detected the synchronism formerly and said first and second synchronism sections currently detect the synchronism.
2. A transmission apparatus, comprising:
a first synchronism section for detecting synchronism of a reception frame based on a first framing pattern of a first type frame;
a fault information detection section for detecting, based on the detection of synchronism by said first detection section, whether or not fault information is set in a first predetermined region of an overhead of the first type frame and outputting a signal representative of whether or not the fault information is set;
a second synchronism section for detecting synchronism of the reception frame based on a second framing pattern of a second type frame;
a mapping section for mapping the reception frame to a third type frame based on the detections of synchronism by said first and second synchronism sections;
an inhibit section for invalidating the output signal of said fault information detection section in response to the synchronism detection conditions of the preceding reception frame by said first and second synchronism sections and the synchronism detection conditions of the current reception frame by said first and second synchronism sections;
a multiplexing section for multiplexing the third type frame into a fourth type frame; and
an overhead insertion section for inserting an overhead of the fourth type frame;
wherein said overhead insertion section does not set fault information to a second predetermined position of the overhead when the output signal of said fault information detection section is invalidated by said inhibit section.
3. A transmission apparatus, comprising:
a first synchronism section for detecting synchronism when a reception frame received from a reception port is a first type frame of a first framing pattern;
a fault information detection section for detecting, based on the detection of synchronism by said first synchronism section, whether or not fault information is set in the first predetermined region of an overhead of the first type frame and outputting a signal representative of whether or not the fault information is set;
a second synchronism section for detecting synchronism when the reception frame received from said reception port is a second type frame;
a third synchronism section for detecting synchronism when the reception frame received from said reception port is a third type frame accommodated in the second type frame and having a second framing pattern same as the first framing pattern;
a mapping section for mapping, based on the synchronism detected by said first, second and third synchronism sections, data accommodated in one of the first type frame, second type frame and third type frame to a fourth type synchronous frame;
an inhibit section for invalidating the output signal of said fault information detection section if it is discriminated, when the synchronism is detected by said first, second and third synchronism sections, that the synchronism is detected with regard to the preceding frame by said second and third synchronism sections and the third type frame is being received;
a multiplexing section for multiplexing the fourth type synchronous frame into a fifth type synchronous frame; and
an overhead insertion section for inserting an overhead of the fifth type synchronous frame;
wherein said overhead insertion section does not set fault information to a second predetermined position of the overhead when the output signal of said fault information detection section is invalidated by said inhibit section.
4. The transmission apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said inhibit section invalidates the output signal of said fault information detection section when synchronism is not detected by said first synchronism section and besides synchronism is detected by said second and third synchronism sections.
5. The transmission apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said inhibit section validates the output signal of said fault information detection section when synchronism is detected by said first synchronism section and besides synchronism is not detected by said second or third synchronism section.
6. The transmission apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said inhibit section validates the output signal of said fault information detection section if it is discriminated, when the synchronism is detected by said first, second and third synchronism sections, that the synchronism is detected with regard to the preceding frame by said first, second and third synchronism sections and the first type frame is being received.
7. The transmission apparatus according to claim 3, wherein the first type frame is an EC1 frame and the second type frame is a DS3 frame while the third type frame is a PLCP frame.
8. A reception interface apparatus, comprising:
a first synchronism section for detecting synchronism when a reception frame received from a reception port is a first type frame of a first framing pattern;
a fault information detection section for detecting, based on the frame synchronism detected by said first detection section, whether or not fault information is set in a first predetermined region of an overhead of the first type frame and outputting a signal representative of whether or not the fault information is set;
a second synchronism section for detecting synchronism when the reception frame received from said reception port is a second type frame;
a third synchronism section for detecting synchronism when the reception frame received from said reception port is a third type frame accommodated in the second type frame and having a second framing pattern same as the first framing pattern;
a first mapping section for mapping, based on the synchronism detected by said first, second and third synchronism sections, data accommodated in one of the first type frame, second type frame and third type frame to a fourth type synchronous frame; and
an inhibit section for invalidating the output signal of said fault information detection section if it is discriminated, when the synchronism is detected by said first, second and third synchronism sections, that the synchronism is detected with regard to the preceding frame by said second and third synchronism sections and the third type frame is being received.
9. A transmission apparatus, comprising:
a first demultiplexing section for demultiplexing a first type synchronous frame received from a synchronous network into a plurality of second type synchronous frames;
a first synchronism section for establishing synchronism with a first framing pattern of the second type synchronous frames;
a first demapping section for detecting fault information set in an overhead of the second type synchronous frame and demapping the fault information to a payload of the second type synchronous frame;
a first mapping section for mapping the payload to a third type synchronous frame;
a second synchronism section for establishing synchronism when the payload is a fourth type frame;
a third synchronism section for establishing synchronism with a fifth type frame of a second framing pattern same as the first framing pattern when the payload is accommodated in the fourth type frame and includes the fifth type frame;
a second mapping section for mapping the payload to the fourth type frame which accommodates the fifth type frame; and
an inhibit section for invalidating the fault information when synchronism is detected by said second and third synchronism sections.
