What is claimed is:

1. A system for injecting a multi-component fluid into a patient comprising: a syringe and at least one agitation element moveable within the syringe to agitate the fluid, the agitation element including surface structures to create mixing in the vicinity of the agitation element.
2. The system of claim 1 wherein the agitation element is adapted to be moved by magnetic force.
3. The system of claim 1 wherein the agitation element is generally spherical in shape with channels formed therein.
4. The system of claim 1 wherein the agitation element includes a base that is generally spherical in shape, the base having a mesh overlain thereon.
5. The system of claim 1 wherein the agitation element is a generally hollow mesh.
6. The system of claim 5 wherein agitation element is generally spherical in shape.
7. The system of claim 1 wherein the size of the agitating element, the size of the surface structures and the velocity with which the agitating element is moved within the fluid are adapted to create vortices within the fluid without creating turbulent flow of a magnitude to damage a significant number of ultrasound scattering particles disposed within the fluid.
8. A system for injecting a multi-component fluid into a patient comprising: a syringe and at least one agitation element moveable within the syringe to agitate the fluid, the agitation element including surface structures to reduce the area of contact between the agitation element and another surface.
9. The system of claim 8 wherein the agitation element includes projections extending from the surface thereof.
10. The system of claim 9 wherein the agitation element is generally spherical in shape.
11. A system for injecting a multi-component fluid into a patient comprising: a syringe and at least one agitation element moveable within the syringe to agitate the fluid, the agitation element including a coating that includes at least one component of the multi-component fluid, the coating releasing the component into the fluid.
12. The system of claim 11 wherein the component in the coating is a powder adapted to disperse particles within the fluid.
13. The system of claim 12 wherein the particles are bubbles or microspheres.
14. The system of claim 13 wherein the coating is adapted to release a therapeutic drug into the fluid.
15. A system for injecting a multi-component fluid into a patient comprising: a syringe and at least two agitating elements moveable within the syringe to agitate the fluid, a first one of the agitating elements having a density greater than a density of the fluid and a second on of the agitating elements having a density less than the density of the fluid.
16. The system of claim 15 further including a mechanism to impart motion to the syringe to change the orientation of the syringe relative to the orientation of gravitational force.

1. A level measurement system, said level measurement system being powered by a two wire loop, said level measurement system comprising:
(a) a transducer for emitting energy pulses and detecting reflected energy pulses;
(b) a controller having a component for controlling said transducer, and a component for determining a level measurement based on the time of flight of said reflected energy pulse;
(c) a power supply having an input port for receiving power from the loop, and a component for producing an output voltage;
(d) a power management unit coupled to the loop, said power management unit having an output coupled to a storage capacitor for charging said storage capacitor, an input port for receiving excess power from the loop, a control terminal responsive to a control output from said controller for controlling the charging of said storage capacitor;
(e) said transducer including an input for receiving energy from said storage capacitor under the control of said controller.
2. The level measurement system as claimed in claim 1. wherein said power management unit includes a control terminal responsive to a control output from said controller for controlling the charging of said storage capacitor.
3. The level measurement system as claimed in claim 1 or 2, further including a user interface module and a communication module for transmitting level measurement data over the two wire loop.
4. The level measurement system as claimed in claim 3, wherein said controller operates said transducer intermittently and based on the charging of said storage capacitor.
5. The level measurement system as claimed in claim 4, wherein said controller operates said user interface module and said communication module continuously.
6. The level measurement system as claimed in claim 5, wherein said power supply comprises a switching power supply, and wherein the two wire loop comprises a current loop operable between a minimum current level and a maximum current level, and said switching power supply operating at current level less than said minimum current level, and the difference in the current levels being directed to said power management unit for charging said storage capacitor.
7. A level measurement system, said level measurement system being powered by a current loop, said level measurement system comprising:
(a) a transducer for emitting energy pulses and detecting reflected energy pulses;
(b) a controller having a component for controlling said transducer, and a component for determining a level measurement based on the time of flight of said reflected energy pulse;
(c) a power supply having an input port coupled to the current loop for receiving current at a voltage level, and said power supply having a component for producing an output voltage for powering said controller;
(d) a power management unit coupled to the current loop, said power management unit having an output coupled to a storage capacitor for charging said storage capacitor, an input port for receiving excess current from the current loop;
(e) said transducer including an input for receiving energy from said storage capacitor under the control of said controller.
8. The level measurement system as claimed in claim 7, wherein said power management unit includes a control terminal responsive to a control output from said controller for controlling the charging of said storage capacitor.
9. The level measurement system as claimed in claim 7 or 8, wherein said power supply comprises a switching power supply and said switching power supply operates at a current level below the operating current level for the current loop, and said power management unit utilizes the difference in said current levels for charging said storage capacitor under the control of said controller.
10. The level measurement system as claimed in claim 9, further including a user interface module and a communication module for transmitting level measurement data over the current loop.
11. The level measurement system as claimed in claim 10, wherein said controller operates said transducer intermittently and based on the charging of said storage capacitor.
12. The level measurement system as claimed in claim 11, wherein said controller operates said user interface module and said communication module continuously.
13. The level measurement system as claimed in claim 12, wherein said power management unit comprises a shunt current regulator coupled to the current loop, and having control terminal responsive to a control output from said controller for shunting current from the current loop.
14. The level measurement system as claimed in claim 13, wherein said power management unit comprises a current sensor coupled to the current loop and having an output for indicating the current level in the current loop.

1. A preset security level system for a peripheral device comprising:
at least one security feature adapted to provide secure operation of the peripheral device;
at least one selectable security level, wherein the at least one security level has associated therewith at least one security feature, such that an activation of the security level causes activation of the associated security feature;
means adapted for receiving data representative of a selection of a security level; and
means, responsive to the received security level selection, adapted for activating the selected security level.

The system of claim 1, wherein the at least one selectable security level comprises a first security level, and wherein the first security level has associated therewith at least one of a Telnet deactivation security feature, a keyboard deactivation security feature and a video services deactivation feature.

The system of claim 2, wherein the at least one security level further comprises a second security level, and wherein the second security level has associated therewith at least one of an SSL activation security feature, an authentication activation security feature, a role-based access control activation security feature, a shared folders minimizing security feature, a job log protection activation security feature, a secure erase enabling security feature and a user data encryption security feature.

The system of claim 3, wherein the at least one security level further comprises a third security level, and wherein the third security level has associated therewith at least one of a secure print security feature, a secure fax security feature, a secure scan security feature, a secure copy security feature and a PDF security feature.

The system of claim 4, wherein the at least one security level further comprises a fourth security level, and wherein the fourth security level has associated therewith at least one of a logging and auditing security feature, an antivirus protection enabling security feature, and an intrusion detection system activation security feature.

9. A method for utilizing a preset security level system to be operable in a peripheral device, comprising the steps of:
receiving data representative of a selection of at least one security level, wherein the at least one security level has associated therewith at least one security feature, such that an activation of the security level causes activation of the associated security feature, and wherein the at least one security feature is adapted to provide secure operation of the peripheral device; and
activating, in response to the received security level selection, the selected security level.

The method of claim 9, wherein the at least one security level comprises a first security level, and wherein the first security level has associated therewith at least one of a Telnet deactivation security feature, a keyboard deactivation security feature and a video services deactivation feature.
11. at least one security feature adapted to provide secure operation of the peripheral device;
at least one selectable security level, wherein the at least one security level has associated therewith at least one security feature, such that an activation of the security level causes activation of the associated security feature;
means adapted for receiving data representative of a selection of a security level; and
means, responsive to the received security level selection, adapted for activating the selected security level.

The computer readable medium of claim 17, wherein the at least one security level comprises a first security level, and wherein the first security level has associated therewith at least one of a Telnet deactivation security feature, a keyboard deactivation security feature and a video services deactivation feature.
19. receiving data representative of a selection of at least one security level, wherein the at least one security level has associated therewith at least one security feature, such that an activation of the security level causes activation of the associated security feature, and wherein the at least one security feature is adapted to provide secure operation of the peripheral device; and
activating, in response to the received security level selection, the selected security level.

The method of claim 25, wherein the at least one security level comprises a first security level, and wherein the first security level has associated therewith at least one of a Telnet deactivation security feature, a keyboard deactivation security feature and a video services deactivation feature.

The method of claim 26, wherein the at least one security level further comprises a second security level, and wherein the second security level has associated therewith at least one of a SSL activation security feature, an authentication activation security feature, a role-based access control activation security feature, a shared folders minimizing security feature, a job log protection activation security feature, a secure erase enabling security feature and a user data encryption security feature.

1. An electrically powered floor maintenance machine, comprising:
a battery assembly slidably attached between a front end and a back end of the floor maintenance machine;
a docking side, the battery assembly slidable away from the floor maintenance machine at the docking side;
a locking mechanism attached to the docking side of the floor maintenance machine;
wherein the docking side of the floor maintenance machine is alignable with a docking station so that the locking mechanism is engagable with the docking station, the battery assembly slidable from the floor maintenance machine to a slidable receiving member of the docking station when the locking mechanism is engaged with the docking station and wherein the machine further comprises an alignment member attached to the docking side of the floor maintenance machine, the alignment member slidably connectable to an alignment receiving member of the docking station and wherein the alignment member is retractable within the floor maintenance machine.
2. The floor maintenance machine of claim 1, wherein the locking mechanism comprises a locking arm with a hook-shaped attachment end and a lever handle pivotably attached to the floor maintenance machine and the locking arm, the hook-shaped attachment end engaging a lock receiving mechanism on the docking station.
3. A method of interchanging a first battery assembly from an electrically powered floor maintenance machine, comprising:
maneuvering the floor maintenance machine to align a docking side of the floor maintenance machine to a first docking station by slidably engaping an alignment member of the floor maintenance machine with an alignment receiving member of the first docking station and by maneuvering the floor maintenance machine to contact a set of rollers on the first docking station;
engaging a locking mechanism of the floor maintenance machine with a lock receiving mechanism of the first docking station to positively attach the floor maintenance machine to the first docking station;
sliding the first battery assembly from the floor maintenance machine to the first docking station to unload the first battery assembly; and
disengaging the locking mechanism to release the floor maintenance machine from the first docking station.
4. The method of claim 3, wherein engaging the locking mechanism of the floor maintenance machine with a lock receiving mechanism of the first docking station also disengages a battery latching mechanism of the docking station to allow the first battery assembly to slide onto the docking station.
5. The method of claim 3, wherein disengaging the locking mechanism also engages a battery holding mechanism of the docking station to prevent the first battery assembly from sliding on the docking station.
6. The method of claim 3, further comprising:
maneuvering the floor maintenance machine to align the docking side of the floor maintenance machine to a second docking station;
engaging the locking mechanism of the floor maintenance machine with a lock receiving mechanism of the second docking station to positively attach the floor maintenance machine to the second docking station; and
sliding a second battery assembly from the second docking station to the floor maintenance machine to load the second battery assembly.
7. A floor maintenance system, comprising:
an electrically powered floor maintenance machine, comprising:
a battery assembly slidably attached to the floor maintenance machine, the battery assembly slidable away from a docking side of the floor maintenance machine;
a locking mechanism on the docking side of the floor maintenance machine; a docking station, comprising:
a receiving side, an alignment of the receiving side with the docking side of the floor maintenance machine defining an alignment configuration of the floor maintenance system;
a battery receiving member for slidably receiving the battery assembly of the floor maintenance machine;
a lock receiving mechanism positively connectable to the locking mechanism of the floor maintenance machine in the alignment configuration of the floor maintenance system, a positive connection of the locking mechanism with the lock receiving mechanism defining an attached configuration of the floor maintenance system, said machine further comprising an alignment receiving member on the docking side and the docking station further comprises an alignment receiving member, the alignment member slidably connectable to the alignment receiving member in the alignment configuration of the floor maintenance system, and wherein the alignment receiving member of the docking station comprises an alignment receiving pin and the alignment member of the floor maintenance machine comprises an alignment arm with an alignment notch, the alignment notch slidably connectable with the alignment receiving pin and wherein the alignment member is retractable within the floor maintenance machine.
8. The floor maintenance system of claim 7, wherein the docking station further comprises a plurality of rollers on the receiving side of the docking station, at least one of the rollers contacting the floor maintenance machine in the alignment configuration of the floor maintenance system.
9. The floor maintenance system of claim 7, wherein the docking station further comprises a battery latching mechanism that prevents sliding of the battery assembly on the battery receiving member when the floor maintenance system is not in the attached configuration, the battery latching mechanism allowing sliding of the battery assembly on the battery receiving member in the attached configuration of the floor maintenance system.
10. The floor maintenance system of claim 9, wherein the battery latching mechanism is connected to the lock receiving mechanism of the docking station so that the battery latching mechanism allows sliding of the battery assembly on the battery receiving member when the lock receiving mechanism is positively connected to the locking mechanism of the floor maintenance machine.
11. The floor maintenance system of claim 7, wherein the locking mechanism of the floor maintenance machine comprises a locking arm with a hook-shaped attachment end and a lever handle pivotably attached to the floor maintenance machine and the locking arm.
12. The floor maintenance system of 11, wherein the lock receiving mechanism comprises a receiving pin.
13. The floor maintenance system of claim 7, wherein the battery receiving member comprises a pair of rails.
