1. An apparatus comprising:
an antenna which receives and transmits wireless signals;
a connector;
a wireless communication device plugged into said connector and operably connected to said antenna;
a recognition unit, coupled to said connector, which recognizes an identification information of the device; and
a switch, coupled to said antenna and said device, which maintains the disconnected state of the connection between said antenna and said device in an initial state when said device is plugged into said connector, and activates said switch to enable wireless communications based on the identification information recognized by said recognition unit.
2. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising:
a storage device, coupled to said switch, which stores supported device information for enabling the connection with said antenna, wherein said switch activates said connection when the identification information recognized by said recognition unit matches the stored supported device information.
3. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the supported device information stored in said storage device is network controller identification information that has wireless communication specification approval in combination with said antenna.
4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said device is a multi-function card having at least a wireless LAN function.
5. A method comprising the steps of:
mounting a device to provide wireless communications on an apparatus;
recognizing an identification information of the device mounted on the apparatus;
determining whether the device is supported by the apparatus based on identification information from said recognizing step; and
activating a switch which makes a connection between a wireless antenna and the device if said device is supported by the apparatus, wherein the switch’s initial state is a not connected state.
6. The method of claim 5, wherein said determining step determines whether the device is supported by the apparatus based upon a network controller of the device having a specification approval for use in combination with the wireless antenna.

1. A decorative lighting assembly comprising:
an elongated electrical string having at least one connector adapted for electrically connecting an electrically wired ornament to said electrical string; and
at least one electrically wired light emitting ornament electrically and detachably connected to said electrical string.
2. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 1, wherein said connector substantially prevents movement of said at least one ornament in response to external environmental factors.
3. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 1, further comprising at least one light emitting source, separate from said at least one ornament, electrically connected to said electrical string.
4. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 3, wherein said at least one light source and said at least one ornament are alternately arranged along said string.
5. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 3, wherein said at least one ornament is indicative of a religious holiday or non-religious celebration selected from the group consisting of New Year’s, Christmas, Hanukkah, Valentine’s Day, Sweetest Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and combinations thereof.
6. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 5, where said ornament indicative of Hanukkah is selected from the group consisting of representations of the Star of David, the Menorah, the dradle, and combinations thereof.
7. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 5, where said ornament indicative of Christmas is selected from the group consisting of representations of a Christmas tree, an angel, a candy cane, a wrapped Christmas present, a Christmas stocking, a reindeer, a snowman, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, an elf, and combinations thereof.
8. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 5, where said ornament indicative of Thanksgiving is selected from the group consisting of representations of a turkey, a pilgrim, a pumpkin, a cornstalk, a bale of hay, a gourd, the cornucopia, and combinations thereof.
9. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 5, where said ornament indicative of Halloween is selected from the group consisting of representations of a carved pumpkin, a skeleton, a ghost, a ghoul, a monster, Frankenstein, a witch, a vampire, and combinations thereof.
10. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 5, where said ornament indicative of Valentine’s Day or Sweetest Day is selected from the group consisting of representations of a heart, cupid, and combinations thereof.
11. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 5, where said ornament indicative of Easter is selected from the group consisting of representations of the Easter bunny, a decorated Easter egg, an Easter basket, and combinations thereof.

13. A decorative lighting assembly comprising:
an elongated main electrical string;
at least one secondary string transversely arranged and electrically connected to said main string; and
at least one electrically wired light emitting ornament electrically and detachably connected to at least one of said main and secondary electrical strings.
14. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 13, further comprising at least one light emitting source, separate from said at least one ornament, electrically connected to said electrical string.
15. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 14, wherein said at least one light emitting source and said at least one ornament are alternately arranged along said main electrical string.
16. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 13, wherein said at least one ornament is indicative of a holiday or non-religious celebration selected from the group consisting of New Year’s, Christmas, Hanukkah, Valentine’s Day, Sweetest Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and combinations thereof.
17. The decorative lighting assembly of claim 16, where said ornament indicative of Hanukkah is selected from the group consisting of representations of the Star of David, the Menorah, the dradle, and combinations thereof.

25. A decorative lighting assembly kit comprising:
an electrical string carrying a plurality of electrical connectors; and
at least one of (i) a plurality of light emitting ornaments adapted for electrical connection with at least one of said electrical connectors, or (ii) a combination of (a) a plurality of light emitting ornaments adapted for electrical connection with at least one of said electrical connectors and (b) a plurality of different colored light emitting sources adapted for electrical connection with at least one of said electrical connectors.
26. The decorative lighting assembly kit of claim 25, wherein said light emitting ornaments are electrically wired for connection to said elongated string.
27. The decorative lighting assembly kit of claim 25, wherein said electrical string comprises an elongated main electrical string and at least one secondary string transversely arranged and electrically connected to said main string.
28. The decorative light assembly kit of claim 25, wherein said light emitting ornament comprising a base, electrical wiring, and a light emitting diode in electrical connection with said wiring.
29. The decorative light assembly kit of claim 25, wherein said light emitting diode is embedded or encased within said base.
30. The kit of claim 25, comprising light emitting ornaments indicative of (i) one or more different religious holiday, (ii) one or more different non-religious occasion, (iii) a professional sports team, (iv) a college sports team, (v) a high school sports team, (vi) a logo that identifies a city, (vii) a logo that identifies a community, (viii) a logo that identifies a state, (ix) a logo that identifies a country, (x) a representation of a trademark or logo of a business or corporate entity, (xi) letters, (xii) numbers, (xiii) symbols, (xiv) cartoon characters or (xv) combinations thereof.
31. The kit of claim 25, comprising a combination of light emitting ornaments indicative of at least one religious holiday and at least one non-religious occasion.

1. A bore measurement unit comprising:
an elongate main body having a first end and a second end;
a first adjustment mechanism disposed near said first end, the first adjustment mechanism expanding or contracting to relative diameters;
a second adjustment mechanism disposed near said second end, the second adjustment mechanism expanding or contracting to relative diameters;
a measuring portion associated with said main body, the measuring portion adapted to measure the internal diameter of the bore of a hollow member;
wherein when said elongate main body is inserted into a bore of a hollow member, said first and second adjustment mechanisms are expanded to generally center said elongate main body within said bore such that said measuring portion may measure the internal diameter thereof.
2. The bore measurement unit of claim 1, wherein said first adjustment mechanism comprises a fixed collar fixedly positioned about said elongate main body, a sliding collar configured in a sliding relation about said elongate main body, and three arms connecting said first fixed collar to said first sliding collar, said arms each being hinged to collectively triangulate to form a relative diameter, wherein sliding of said sliding collar toward said fixed collar increases the relative diameter of said first adjustment mechanism and sliding of said sliding collar away from said fixed collar decreases the relative diameter of said first adjustment mechanism.
3. The bore measurement unit of claim 2, wherein said first adjustment mechanism further comprises a wheel associated with each hinged arm, said wheels positioned at hinges of said arms at the relative diameter.
4. The bore measurement unit of claim 2, further comprising a linear actuator coupling said sliding collar of said first adjustment mechanism to said elongate body such that said linear actuator moves said sliding collar relative to said elongate body.
5. The bore measurement unit of claim 4, wherein said linear actuator is a pneumatically operated magnetically coupled rodless cylinder.
6. The bore measurement unit of claim 1, wherein said first adjustment mechanism and said second adjustment mechanism are separably adjustable, said adjustment mechanisms capable of forming two different relative diameters such that said elongate member remains centered in a bore having a variable diameter.
7. The bore measurement unit of claim 1, wherein said measuring portion comprises at least one photoelectric distance sensor which rotates to sense distances associated with the inner bore diameter of the hollow member about 360\xb0 cycles.
8. The bore measurement unit of claim 7, wherein said photoelectric distance sensor takes at least four readings during each cycle for a total of at least four distance readings.
9. The bore measurement unit of claim 8, further comprising a data collection and processing computer with display, wherein said at least four distance readings are collected and fitted to a best fit circle whose dimensions are displayed on said display.
10. The bore measurement unit of claim 8, wherein said measuring portion comprises two photoelectric distance sensors, the photoelectric distance sensors each rotating in at least 180\xb0 cycles and each taking at least two distance readings during each cycle.
11. The bore measurement unit of claim 1, wherein said measuring portion measures the bore diameter of the hollow member to within a tolerance of approximately 11000\u2033.
12. A method of measuring the inner bore diameter of a hollow shaft, said method comprising:
inserting an elongate measuring device comprising a first adjustment mechanism, a second adjustment, mechanism, and a measuring portion into the inner bore, the adjustment members adjustable to relative diameters;
adjusting the relative diameters of the first adjustment mechanism and the second adjustment mechanism such that the adjustment mechanisms each abut the inner bore at their relative diameters to generally center the elongate measuring device within the bore;
activating the measuring portion to take a plurality of measurement readings of the inner bore in an area adjacent to the measuring portion.
13. The method of measuring of claim 12, further comprising:
moving the elongate measuring device along the length of the inner bore;
activating the measuring portion to take a second plurality of measurement readings of the inner bore in an area adjacent to the measuring portion.
14. The method of measuring of claim 13, wherein said moving step comprises adjusting the relative diameter of at least one of the adjustment mechanisms.
15. The method of measuring of claim 12, wherein said step of inserting is achieved by pushing the elongate measuring device in the bore with a graduated measuring rod.
16. The method of claim 15, further comprising:
identifying the depth of penetration into the inner bore of the measuring portion;
moving the elongate measuring device along the length of the inner bore a predetermined distance;
activating the measuring portion to take a second plurality of measurement readings of the inner bore in an area adjacent to the measuring portion.
17. The method of claim 12, wherein said step of activating the measuring portion takes at least three readings of the inner bore in an area adjacent to the measuring portion.
18. The method of claim 17, wherein the readings are conveyed to and stored in a data collection and processing computer.
19. The method of claim 12, wherein the measurement portion includes two sensors, each adapted to take measurement readings.
20. A bore measurement unit for measuring the internal diameter of a hollow member having a bore with a longitudinal axis, the bore measurement unit comprising:
an elongate main body having a longitudinal axis;
two adjustment mechanisms associated with said main body, the adjustment mechanisms each triangulating to expand and position the longitudinal axis of the elongate main body along the longitudinal axis of the bore when the elongate main body is inserted therein;
a rotating sensor, the rotating sensor taking a plurality of readings of the internal diameter of the hollow member.

R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, phenyl group, or a phenyl-lower alkyl group optionally having 1 to 3 lower alkoxy groups on the phenyl ring;
R3 and R4 each independently represent the group YOZR5 (wherein Y is a lower alkylene group, Z is a single bond or a lower alkylene group, and R5 is phenyl group optionally having 1 to 3 substituents selected from the group consisting of halogen atoms, lower alkoxy groups, lower alkyl groups, halogen-substituted lower alkyl groups, methylenedioxy group, hydroxyl group, 2,2-di(lower alkoxy-carbonyl)ethyl groups and 2,2-di(lower alkoxy-carbonyl)vinyl groups, or one of R3 and R4 is the group YOZR5 (wherein Y, Z and R5 are as above) and the other is a lower alkyl group, phenyl group, or a phenyl-lower alkyl group; with the proviso that the case where R2 is a phenyl-lower alkyl group optionally having 1 to 3 lower alkoxy groups on the phenyl ring and at least one of R3 and R4 is a benzyloxy-lower alkyl group having 1 to 3 lower alkoxy groups on the benzene ring is excluded.

4. A naphthyridine derivative according to claim 1, wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom, R2 is a phenyl-lower alkyl group optionally having 1 to 3 lower alkoxy groups on the phenyl ring and either R3 or R4 is a lower alkyl group.
5. A naphthyridine derivative according claim 1, wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom, R2 is a phenyl-lower alkyl group optionally having 1 to 3 lower alkoxy groups on the phenyl ring, one of R3 and R4 is a lower alkyl group and Z is a single bond.
6. A naphthyridine derivative according to claim 1, wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom, R2 is a phenyl-lower alkyl group optionally having 1 to 3 lower alkoxy groups on the phenyl ring, one of R3 and R4 is a lower alkyl group, R5 is phenyl group having 1 to 3 lower alkoxy groups as substituents and Z is a single bond.

A naphthyridine derivative according to claim 1, wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom, R2 is benzyl optionally substituted with 1 to 3 lower alkoxy groups on the phenyl ring, one of R3 and R4 is a lower alkyl group, R5 is phenyl group having 1 to 3 lower alkoxy groups as substituents and Z is a single bond.
8. A naphthyridine derivative according to claim 1, wherein one of R3 and R4 is a lower alkyl group and Z is a single bond.
9. A naphthyridine derivative according to claim 1, wherein one of R3 and R4 is a lower alkyl group, R5 is phenyl group having 3 lower alkoxy groups as substituents and Z is a single bond.
10. A naphthyridine derivative according to claim 1, wherein one of R3 and R4 is a lower alkyl group, R5 is a 3,4,5-tri-lower alkoxy-phenyl group and Z is a single bond.
11. A naphthyridine derivative according to claim 1, which is selected from the group consisting of 1-(3,4,5-trimethoxybenzyl)-3-methyl-2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenoxy)ethylsulfonium-1,8-naphthyridine-2(1H)-one-4-olate, 1-benzyl-3-ethyl-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenoxy)propylsulfonium-1,8-naphthyridine-2(1H)-one-4-olate, 1-methyl-3-methyl-2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenoxy)ethylsulfonium-1,8-naphthyridine-2(1H)-one-4-olate, 1-benzyl-3-methyl-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenoxy)propylsulfonium-1,8-naphthyridine-2(1H)-one-4-olate, and 1-(4-methoxybenzyl)-3-methyl-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenoxy)propylsulfonium-1,8-naphthyridine-2(1H)-one-4-olate.
12. A naphthyridine derivative according to claim 1, which is 1-benzyl-3-methyl-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenoxy)propylsulfonium-1,8-naphthyridine-2(1H)-one-4-olate.
13. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a naphthyridine derivative of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
14. A pharmaceutical composition according to claim 13, which is an analgesic.
15. A pharmaceutical composition according to claim 13, which is a diabetic neuropathy treating agent.
16. A pharmaceutical composition according to claim 13, which is an adenosine enhancement agent.
17. A method for relieving pain comprising administering an effective amount of a naphthyridine derivative of claim 1 to a patient in need of treatment.
18. A method for treating diabetic neuropathy comprising administering an effective amount of a naphthyridine derivative of claim 1 to a patient in need of treatment.
19. A method for enhancing adenosine comprising administering an effective amount of a naphthyridine derivative of claim 1 to a patient in need of treatment.
20. Use of a naphthyridine derivative of claim 1 for producing a pharmaceutical composition for relieving pain.
21. Use of a naphthyridine derivative of claim 1 for producing a pharmaceutical composition for treating diabetic neuropathy.
22. Use of a naphthyridine derivative of claim 1 for producing a pharmaceutical composition for enhancing adenosine.
