1. A method for providing an aggregated view of content items, the method comprising:
receiving an indication to display an aggregated view of content items relevant to a user;
determining one or more content items from one or more repositories to display according to a relevance ranking;
generating a user interface for displaying the one or more content items; and
displaying the one or more content items in an order according to the relevance ranking.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein determining one or more content items from one or more repositories to display according to a relevance ranking comprises querying a graph for content items acted on by the user and content items acted on by individuals with whom the user shares a relationship.
3. The method of claim 2, further comprising querying a graph for content items determined to be relevant to the user according to a match of a topic of the content item and a topic affinity associated with the user.
4. The method of claim 2, wherein the content items acted on by the user and content items acted on by individuals whom the user shares a relationship are weighted according to one or more of:
a type of activity performed;
a type of relationship the user has with an individual performing the activity;
how recently the activity was performed; or
a number of times the activity was performed.
5. The method of claim 4, wherein the content items acted on by the user and content items acted on by individuals whom the user shares a relationship are ranked in order of relevance to the user according to their weights.
6. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
receiving an indication of a search query;
searching for one or more content items from one or more repositories matching the search query;
generating a user interface for displaying the one or more content items matching the search query; and
displaying the one or more content items matching the search query in the user interface.
7. The method of claim 6, wherein receiving an indication of a search query comprises receiving an indication of a selection of a predefined query.
8. The method of claim 7, wherein searching for one or more content items from one or more repositories matching the search query comprises searching for one or more content items pre-aggregated according to the predefined query.
9. The method of claim 7, wherein a predefined query comprises one of:
one or more content items determined to be popular with the user’s colleagues;
one or more content items viewed by the user;
one or more content items worked on by the user; or
one or more content items most viewed by the user and by individuals whom the user has an explicit or implicit relationship.
10. The method of claim 6, wherein receiving an indication of a search query comprises receiving an indication of input of a search term or text string.
11. The method of claim 10, further comprising:
performing a natural language processing of the search term or text string;
requesting one or more content items from one or more repositories matching the search term or text string;
aggregating content items from the graph matching the search term or text string;
determining one or more aggregated content items to display according to a relevance ranking;
generating a user interface for displaying the one or more aggregated content items; and
displaying the one or more aggregated content items in the user interface.
12. A system for providing an aggregated view of content items, the system comprising:
one or more processors; and
a memory coupled to the one or more processors, the one or more processors operable to:
receive an indication to display an aggregated view of content items relevant to a user;
query a graph for one or more content items from one or more repositories, the one or more content items acted on by the user or acted on by individuals with whom the user shares a relationship;
determine which of the one or more content items to display according to a relevance ranking according to calculated weights;
generate a user interface for displaying the one or more content items; and
display the one or more content items in an order according to the relevance ranking.
13. The system of claim 12, wherein the weights are calculated according to one or more of:
a type of activity performed;
a type of relationship the user has with an individual performing the activity;
how recently the activity was performed; or
a number of times the activity was performed.
14. The system of claim 12, wherein the one or more processors are further operable to:
receive an indication of a search query;
search for one or more content items from one or more repositories matching the search query;
generate a user interface for displaying the one or more content items matching the search query; and
display the one or more content items matching the search query in the user interface.
15. The system of claim 14, wherein in receiving an indication of a search query, the one or more processors are further operable to:
receive an indication of a selection of a predefined query; and
search for one or more content items pre-aggregated according to the predefined query.
16. The system of claim 14, wherein in receiving an indication of a search query, the one or more processors are further operable to:
receive an indication of input of a search term or text string;
perform a natural language processing of the search term or text string;
request one or more content items matching the search term or text string;
aggregate content items from the graph matching the search term or text string;
determine one or more aggregated content items to display according to a relevance ranking;
generate a user interface for displaying the one or more aggregated content items; and
display the one or more aggregated content items in the user interface.
17. A computer readable medium containing computer executable instructions which, when executed by a computer, perform a method for providing an aggregated view of content items, the method comprising:
receiving an indication to display an aggregated view of content items relevant to a user;
querying a graph for one or more content items from one or more repositories, the one or more content items acted on by the user, acted on by individuals with whom the user shares a relationship, or determined to be relevant to the user according to a match of a topic of the content item and a topic affinity associated with the user;
determining which of the one or more content items to display according to a relevance ranking according to calculated weights, wherein the weights are calculated according to one or more of:
a type of activity performed;
a type of relationship the user has with an individual performing the activity;
how recently the activity was performed; or
a number of times the activity was performed;

generating a user interface for displaying the one or more content items; and
displaying the one or more content items in an order according to the relevance ranking.
18. The computer readable medium of claim 17, further comprising:
receiving an indication of a search query;
searching for one or more content items from one or more repositories matching the search query;
generating a user interface for displaying the one or more content items matching the search query; and
displaying the one or more content items matching the search query in the user interface.
19. The computer readable medium of claim 18, wherein receiving an indication of a search query comprises:
receiving an indication of a selection of a predefined query; and
searching for one or more content items pre-aggregated according to the predefined query.
20. The computer readable medium of claim 18, wherein receiving an indication of a search query comprises:
receiving an indication of input of a search term or text string;
performing a natural language processing of the search term or text string;
requesting one or more content items matching the search term or text string;
aggregating content items from the graph matching the search term or text string;
determining one or more aggregated content items to display according to a relevance ranking;
generating a user interface for displaying the one or more aggregated content items; and
displaying the one or more aggregated content items in the user interface.

1. A method of treating a fractured hydrocarbon bearing formation penetrated by a well, the fractured hydrocarbon bearing formation having a formation temperature, a rock matrix formed of carbonate and matrix oil wetting the rock matrix, the rock matrix having fractures, the method comprising:
in a first phase, injecting a formation compatible aqueous fluid into the fractured hydrocarbon bearing formation through the well upon which the formation compatible aqueous fluid penetrates the fractures, heats the rock matrix and the fractures fill with the formation compatible aqueous fluid and matrix oil expelled from the rock matrix;
in the first phase, allowing the well to soak and cool off in a soaking period during which the rock matrix is filled with matrix oil and partially filled with formation compatible aqueous fluid from oil contraction during soak and cool off;
in the first phase, opening the well to allow production of matrix oil and formation compatible aqueous fluid;
in a second phase, injecting a hydrocarbon solvent into the fractured hydrocarbon bearing formation through the well to dilute the matrix oil by solvent diffusion into the matrix oil, the hydrocarbon solvent having a boiling point and being miscible with the matrix oil, during which second phase, the fractures fill with hydrocarbon solvent;
in the second phase, closing the well to allow the fractured hydrocarbon bearing formation to soak in the hydrocarbon solvent, while the rock matrix fills with matrix oil, matrix oil and diffused solvent mixture and formation compatible aqueous fluid;
in the second phase, opening the well to produce a mixture of matrix oil and hydrocarbon solvent, while the fractures drain matrix oil,
at least in a third phase, repeating the first phase after the second phase, including the closing of the well, soaking of the fractured hydrocarbon bearing formation and production of matrix oil, in which third phase the formation compatible aqueous fluid has a temperature selected to be sufficiently close to the boiling point of the hydrocarbon solvent that boiling of the hydrocarbon solvent in the fractured hydrocarbon bearing formation in the third phase drives hydrocarbon solvent out of the rock matrix for retrieval of hydrocarbon solvent; and
producing hydrocarbons from the fractured hydrocarbon bearing formation.
2. The method of claim 1 in which the formation compatible aqueous fluid has at least initially a temperature in the fractured hydrocarbon bearing formation greater than the temperature of the fractured hydrocarbon bearing formation.
3. The method of claim 1 in which the formation compatible aqueous fluid injected in the third phase is free of hydrocarbon solvent.
4. The method of claim 1 in which the formation compatible aqueous fluid is steam.
5. The method of claim 1 in which producing hydrocarbons comprises producing hydrocarbons from the well used for injection of the formation compatible aqueous fluid and hydrocarbon solvent.
6. The method of claim 1 in which producing hydrocarbons comprises producing hydrocarbons from a different well from the well used for injection of the formation compatible aqueous fluid and hydrocarbon solvent.
7. The method of claim 1 in which the well used for injection is a predominantly vertical well.
8. The method of claim 1 in which the well used for injection is a predominantly horizontal well.
9. The method of claim 1 in which the hydrocarbon solvent comprises C3-C10 hydrocarbons.
10. The method of claim 1 in which the first phase and second phase are repeated for at least a year.
11. The method of claim 1 carried out using a single well in which injecting and producing steps are carried out cyclically and repeated injecting cycles are carried out before each producing step.
12. The method of claim 1 carried out using an injection well and a production well, and injecting steps are carried out continuously with the producing step.

Contacting said hair strand with a device; the device comprises a first portion movably joined by a connection to a second portion; wherein said first portion is a well, which comprises a base, a wall and a rim and wherein said base, said wall and said rim define an opening and an internal volume of said well; wherein said second portion is a plate, which comprises a perimeter, an internal and an external surface; wherein said internal surface of said plate may be brought into a juxtaposed relationship to said opening of said well;
wherein said composition comprises a percentage X of hydrogen peroxide by weight of said composition and a percentage Y of an alkalizer by weight of said composition; wherein said composition comprises a minimum of 2% of hydrogen peroxide by weight of said composition; and wherein said weight percentages of said hydrogen peroxide and said alkalizer in said composition are as defined by equation (I); wherein equation (I) is

1. A combined water and syrup valve assembly for use in a beverage dispenser comprising:
a) a water valve comprising:
i) a housing having a water inlet and a water outlet and a water flow path there between;
ii) a water diaphragm and a first sealing ring against which the water diaphragm may seal to close the water flow path through the valve; the area confined by the sealing ring being subject to pressure of water entering the housing inlet;
iii) a first spring acting against the water diaphragm to urge it against the first sealing ring in opposition to force generated by said pressure of water in the inlet;
iv) an inlet channel upstream of the sealing ring; and
v) a throttling pin positioned in said inlet channel and responsive to movement of the water diaphragm to partially block the inlet channel when the pressure in the inlet forces the water diaphragm to open against the spring force, the movement of the diaphragm thus regulating the flow of water through the housing; and

b) a syrup valve comprising:
i) a housing having a syrup inlet and a syrup outlet and a syrup flow path there between;
ii) a syrup diaphragm and a second sealing ring against which the syrup diaphragm may seal to close the syrup flow path through the valve; and
iii) a second spring acting against the syrup diaphragm to urge it against the second sealing ring in opposition to force generated by pressure of syrup in the syrup inlet; the second spring being at least partially physically nested within said first spring.
2. The combined water and syrup valve assembly of claim 1 wherein the first and second springs are both coil springs having an internal diameter and an external diameter, and the external diameter of the second spring is less than the internal diameter of the first spring.
3. The combined water and syrup valve assembly of claim 1 wherein the first and second sealing rings are each round in shape.
4. The combined water and syrup valve assembly of claim 1 wherein the water valve is configured for use with carbonated water.
5. The combined water and syrup valve assembly of claim 4 wherein the flow path through the water valve is configured to minimize the breakout of carbonation from the carbonated water.
6. The combined water and syrup valve assembly of claim 1 wherein the water sealing ring lies in a plane, and both the water inlet and water outlet are located on the same side of said plane.
7. The combined water and syrup valve assembly of claim 1 wherein the water inlet and the water outlet are positioned such that the outlet is at an angle of approximately 90\xb0 compared to the inlet.
8. A beverage dispenser comprising the combined water and syrup valve assembly of claim 1.
9. A carbonated water valve for use in a beverage dispenser comprising:
a) a housing having an inlet and an outlet and a carbonated water flow path there between;
b) a diaphragm and a sealing ring against which the diaphragm may seal to close the water flow path through the valve, the area confined by the sealing ring being subject to pressure of carbonated water entering the housing inlet;
c) a spring acting against the diaphragm to urge it against the sealing ring in opposition to force generated by pressure of carbonated water in the inlet;
d) an inlet channel upstream of the sealing ring; and
e) a throttling pin positioned in said inlet channel and responsive to movement of the diaphragm to partially block the inlet channel when the pressure in the inlet forces the diaphragm to open against the spring force, the movement of the diaphragm thus regulating the flow of water through the housing;
f) the flow path through the valve being configured to minimize the breakout of carbonation from the carbonated water.
10. The carbonated water valve of claim 9 wherein the flow path has channels and the channels are made with rounded corners as a way of minimizing carbonation breakout.
11. The carbonated water valve of claim 10 wherein the flow path includes four flow channels for directing flow around the diaphragm.
12. The carbonated water valve of claim 9 wherein the internal volume of the valve is balanced with the flow rate through the valve and back pressure so that the volume of the flow path is minimized as a way of minimizing carbonation breakout.
13. The carbonated water valve of claim 9 wherein the flow path has an outlet adjacent the sealing ring as a way of minimizing carbonation breakout.
14. The carbonated water valve of claim 13 wherein the sealing ring lies in a plane, and both the inlet and outlet are located on the same side of said plane.
15. A beverage dispenser comprising the carbonated water valve of claim 9.
16. A water valve for use in a beverage dispenser comprising:
a) a housing having an inlet and an outlet and a water flow path there between;
b) a diaphragm and a sealing ring against which the diaphragm may seal to close the water flow path through the valve, the area confined by the sealing ring being subject to pressure of water entering the housing inlet;
c) a spring acting against the diaphragm to urge it against the sealing ring in opposition to force generated by pressure of water in the inlet, the spring being sufficient to keep the valve closed until a threshold pressure is achieved, said threshold pressure being 40 psi or greater;
d) an inlet channel upstream of the sealing ring; and
e) a throttling pin positioned in said inlet channel and responsive to movement of the diaphragm to partially block the inlet channel when the pressure in the inlet forces the diaphragm to open against the spring force, the movement of the diaphragm thus regulating the flow of water through the housing;
f) wherein the sealing ring lies in a plane, and both the inlet and outlet are located on the same side of said plane.
17. The water valve of claim 16 wherein the inlet and outlet are both cylindrical in nature and have an axis, and the axis of the inlet is at approximately 90\xb0 to the axis of the outlet.
18. The water valve of claim 16 wherein the flow path through the valve is configured to minimize the breakout of carbonation when carbonated water is dispensed through the valve.
19. A beverage dispenser comprising the water valve of claim 16.
20. In an improved water valve comprising:
a) a housing having an inlet and an outlet and a water flow path there between;
b) a diaphragm and a sealing ring against which the diaphragm may seal to close the water flow path through the valve, the area confined by the sealing ring being subject to pressure of water entering the housing inlet;
c) a spring acting against the diaphragm to urge it against the sealing ring in opposition to force generated by pressure of water in the inlet;
d) an inlet channel upstream of the sealing ring; and
e) a throttling pin positioned in said inlet channel and responsive to movement of the diaphragm to partially block the inlet channel when the pressure in the inlet forces the diaphragm to open against the spring force, the movement of the diaphragm thus regulating the flow of water through the housing;
f) the improvement comprising positioning the inlet and the outlet so that the outlet is at an angle of approximately 90\xb0 compared to the inlet.
