1. A method for creating diagnostic files, the method comprising:
receiving an error notification indicating that an error has occurred in a particular system section of a system having a plurality of system sections, the error notification including information about the error;
selecting one of:
creating a full image of the particular system section; and
creating a summarized error report of the particular system section without creating the full image of the particular system section,
the selecting based on the information in the error notification;

creating a diagnostic file comprising one of the full image of the particular system section and the summarized error report of the particular system section, wherein contents of the diagnostic file are based on the selecting; and
saving the diagnostic file.
2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
determining another system section of the system that is associated with the error in the particular system section;
creating one of a full image of the other system section and a summarized error report of the other system section based on the information included in the error notification and a relationship between the particular system section and the other system section; and
including, in the diagnostic file, one of the full image and the summarized error report of the other system section.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein one or more of the plurality of system sections have a dedicated error engine associated with the respective system section to determine whether to create a full image or a summarized error report for the respective system section.
4. The method of claim 3, wherein the system includes a generic error engine associated with one or more of the plurality of system sections that are not associated with a dedicated error engine, said generic error engine for determining whether to create a full image or a summarized error report.
5. The method of claim 4, wherein the generic error engine is a master error engine for controlling the one or more dedicated error engines, wherein the dedicated error engines are slave error engines.
6. The method of claim 4, wherein the generic error engine and the one or more dedicated error engines have a peer-peer relationship, with any of the error engines detecting the error, acting as master error engine, and notifying other error engines.
7. The method of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of system sections is a subset of system memory.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of system sections is a unique system component.
9. The method of claim 1, wherein the information about the error includes information relating to the time the error occurred, the type of error that occurred, and the system section associated with the error occurrence.
10. The method of claim 1, further comprising dividing a memory address of the system into the plurality of system sections, each of the system sections a self-contained functional system section that includes one or more defined execution components.
11. A system for creating diagnostic files, the system comprising:
a plurality of system sections;
an error buffer configured to receive an error notification indicating that an error has occurred in a particular system section of the plurality of system sections, the error notification including information about the error; and
an error engine configured to:
select between one of:
create a full image of the particular system section; and
create a summarized error report of the particular system section without creating the full image of the particular system section,
the selecting based on the information in the error notification;

create a diagnostic file comprising one of the full image of the particular system section and the a summarized error report of the particular system section, wherein contents of the diagnostic file are based on the selecting; and
save the diagnostic file.
12. The system of claim 11, wherein the error engine is further configured to:
determine another system section of the system that is associated with the error in the particular system section;
create one of a full image of the other system section and a summarized error report of the other system section based on the information included in the error notification and a relationship between the particular system section and the other system section; and
include in the diagnostic file, one of the full image and the summarized error report of the other system section.
13. The system of claim 12, wherein the error engine includes one or more dedicated error engines associated with the respective system section, the one or more dedicated error engines configured to determine whether to create a full image or a summarized error report for the respective system section.
14. The system of claim 13, wherein the error engine further includes a generic error engine associated with one or more of the plurality of system sections that are not associated with a dedicated error engine, the generic error engine configured to determine whether to create a full image or a summarized error report.
15. The system of claim 14, wherein the generic error engine is configured as a master error engine to control the one or more dedicated error engines, and the dedicated error engines are configured as slave error engines.
16. The system of claim 14, wherein the generic error engine and the one or more dedicated error engines have a peer-peer relationship, with any of the error engines configured to detect the error, to act as master error engine, and to notify other error engines.
17. The system of claim 11, wherein each of the plurality of system sections is a subset of system memory.
18. The system of claim 11, wherein each of the plurality of system sections is a unique system component.
19. The system of claim 11, wherein the information about the error includes information relating to the time the error occurred, the type of error that occurred, and the system section associated with the error occurrence.
20. A computer program product for creating diagnostic files, the computer program product comprising:
a non-transitory computer readable storage medium having program code embodied therewith, the program code executable by a processor to:
receive an error notification indicating that an error has occurred in a particular system section of a system having a plurality of system sections, the error notification including information about the error;
select one of:
create a full image of the particular system section; and
create a summarized error report of the particular system section without creating the full image of the particular system section,
the selecting based on the information in the error notification;

create a diagnostic file comprising one of the full image of the particular system section and the summarized error report of the particular system section, wherein contents of the diagnostic file are based on results of the determining; and
save the diagnostic file.

1. A contact system for a semiconductor component having a plurality of terminal contacts comprising:
a board comprising a plurality of contacts in electrical communication with external circuitry;
a substrate configured to slide on the board comprising a plurality of flexible segments configured to move independently of one another and a plurality of contactors on the flexible segments configured to simultaneously electrically engage the contacts and the terminal contacts;
each contactor comprising a first contact on a flexible segment configured to electrically engage a terminal contact on the component, and a conductive polymer layer on a second opposing side of the flexible segment in electrical communication with the first contact configured to electrically engage a contact on the board.
2. The contact system of claim 1 wherein the substrate comprises a plurality of grooves separating the contractors and the flexible segments.
3. The contact system of claim 1 further comprising a test handler configured to place and hold the component on the substrate.
4. The contact system of claim 1 wherein the substrate slides in a z-direction on pins attached to the board.
5. The contact system of claim 1 wherein the terminal contacts comprise an element selected from the group consisting of leads, bumps and pads.
6. The contact system of claim 1 wherein the external circuitry comprises test circuitry.
7. A contact system for a semiconductor component having a plurality of terminal contacts comprising:
a board comprising a plurality of contacts in electrical communication with external circuitry and a plurality of pins;
a substrate slidably mounted on the pins having a plurality of flexible segments configured to move independently of one another;
a plurality of contactors on the flexible segments configured to simultaneously electrically engage the contacts and the terminal contacts;
each contactor comprising a first contact on a first side of a flexible segment configured to electrically engage a terminal contact, a second contact on a second side of the flexible segment in electrical communication with the first contact, and a conductive polymer layer configured to electrically engage the second contact and a contact.
8. The contact system of claim 7 wherein the substrate comprises a plurality of grooves on either side of the contactors forming the flexible segments.
9. The contact system of claim 7 wherein the conductive polymer layer comprises an elastomeric base material and a plurality of conductive particles in the base material configured to electrically engage the contact.
10. The contact system of claim 7 wherein the terminal contact comprises a lead and the first contact comprises a pad configured to physically engage the lead.
11. The contact system of claim 7 wherein the terminal contact comprises a bump and the first contact comprises an indentation for the bump.
12. The contact system of claim 7 wherein the terminal contact comprises a pad and the first contact comprises a bump for engaging the pad.
13. The contact system of claim 7 wherein the component comprises an element selected from the group consisting of packages, ball grid array devices, and modules.
14. A contact system for a semiconductor component having a plurality of terminal contacts comprising:
a board comprising a plurality of contacts in electrical communication with an external circuitry;
a substrate slidably mounted to the board for movement in a z-direction and having a first side, an opposing second side, and a plurality of grooves from the first side to the second side forming a plurality of flexible segments;
a plurality of contactors on the flexible segments configured to move independently of one another and to simultaneously electrically engage the contacts and the terminal contacts;
each contactor comprising a first contact on the first side of a flexible segment configured to electrically engage the terminal contact, a second contact on the second side of the flexible segment in electrical communication with the first contact, and a conductive polymer layer configured to electrically engage the second contact and a contact.
15. The contact system of claim 14 wherein the first contact and the second contact comprise an element selected from the group consisting of gold and platinum.
16. The contact system of claim 14 wherein the conductive polymer layer comprises an elastomeric base material and a plurality of conductive particles in the base material.
17. The contact system of claim 14 wherein the conductive polymer layer comprises a plurality of particles configured to penetrate the second contacts.
18. A contact system for a semiconductor component having a plurality of terminal contacts comprising:
a test circuitry configured to apply test signals to the component;
a test handler configured to move and support the component;
a board comprising a plurality of contacts in electrical communication with the test circuitry;
a substrate on the board comprising a plurality of independent flexible segments and a plurality of contactors on the flexible segments configured under a force applied by the test handler to the component to simultaneously electrically engage the contacts and the terminal contacts;
each contactor comprising a first contact on a first side of a flexible segment configured to electrically engage a terminal contact on the component, and a second contact on a second opposing side of the flexible segment in electrical communication with the first contact, and a conductive polymer layer configured to electrically engage the second contact and a contact on the board.
19. The contact system of claim 18 wherein the substrate is configured to float in a Z-direction on the board.
20. The contact system of claim 18 wherein the substrate comprises a plurality of grooves electrically isolating the contactors and forming the flexible segments.

1. A water sprinkler having at least one spray nozzle outlet, the nozzle outlet being moved about each of two axes, a first axis being horizontal and a second axis tilting about a line that is generally transverse to the first axis, for irrigating with airborne spray a ground area in a pattern having a width and a length, the sprinkler being supplied with water under pressure and comprising:
a first means for moving the nozzle outlet about a first axis which extends generally horizontally;
a second means for moving the nozzle outlet about a second axis that is generally transverse to the first axis; and
flow channel means for passing water through the sprinkler and to the nozzle outlet.
2. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 1, wherein the first means comprises a barrel with a circumferential periphery, the barrel moving about the first axis and carrying the spray nozzle outlet on or adjacent said periphery thereof.
3. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 1, wherein the second means comprises a rotating cam surface causing the nozzle outlet to move about said second axis and generally in a plane including the first axis.
4. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 1, wherein the movements caused by the first and second means are synchronized with each other so that substantially all portions of the ground area receive an equal volume of water over time.
5. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 1, wherein the sprinkler has at least two spray nozzle outlets, all of said outlets being driven by the first and second means to sprinkle water in substantially uniform volumes over sufficient time in all portions of said ground area.
6. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 1, wherein the pressure of water provided to the sprinkler determines the width of the pattern sprayed.
7. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 1, further comprising mechanical stop means set on one of the first and second means for controlling at least one of the width and the length of the pattern sprayed.
8. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 1, wherein at least one of said outlets is selectively closed as with a cap, to increase the volume and pressure of water flow through the other outlet or outlets.
9. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 1, wherein at least one of the nozzle outlets is selectively fitted with a modified outlet of relatively small cross-section, to increase the distance that water is sprayed therefrom.
10. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 1, wherein at least one of the nozzle outlets is selectively fitted with a misting outlet means for dispersing water in a directed mist rather than a stream or jet.
11. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 1, wherein the pressure of water to the sprinkler determines one of the width and the length of the pattern sprayed.
12. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 1, wherein the first means is temporarily disabled from oscillating, so that the second means will oscillate to irrigate a ground area having a length and negligible width so as to direct the spray over a single row of foliage.
13. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 1, wherein the nozzle is selectively fitted with a misting outlet means for dispersing the water in a directed mist rather than a stream or jet.
14. A water sprinkler having at least one spray nozzle, the sprinkler having two generally transverse axes of movement of its spray nozzle in operation, the sprinkler comprising:
a main body connected to a source of pressurized water for spraying said water onto a lawn or garden area from a fixed position in respect of said area;
a barrel carried on the main body for movement about a first, generally horizontal axis passing through the barrel, and the barrel having a peripheral exterior surface;
first drive means operating between the main body and the barrel for causing controlled movement of the surface of the barrel over at least a selected arc about the first axis with respect to the main body;
second drive means in at least one of the main body and the barrel for rotating a shaft extending parallel to the first axis, the shaft carrying at least one camming means;
at least one spray nozzle, each said nozzle having a water outlet and being carried near said peripheral surface of the barrel for movement of its outlet in an arc extending in a plane generally parallel to the first axis and about a second axis extending spaced from and transverse to the first axis, under at least partial control of the camming means,

whereby water from the source passes through the main body, the barrel movement means, and said at least one spray nozzle and its outlet and said water is directed by said at least one nozzle outlet over a selected path substantially covering over time a desired area of the lawn or garden, as the barrel moves over the selected arc about the first horizontal axis and each nozzle outlet at the same time moves transverse to that arc, so as to cover the selected area in a criss-crossing pattern.
15. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 14, wherein the sprinkler has at least two nozzles carried on the barrel, at least two outlets, and at least two camming means carried on the shaft.
16. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 15, wherein one of said at least two outlets is selectively closed by an impervious cap, to increase the volume and pressure of water flow through the other nozzle.
17. A water sprinkler as defined in claim 14, wherein the nozzle outlet is selectively fitted with a modified outlet of reduced cross-section, to increase the distance that water is sprayed therefrom.

1. An apparatus for automatically shearing and bending a chain link, the chain link including a selected thickness, the apparatus comprising:
a housing;
a first shearing member mounted to the housing;
a second shearing member, the second shearing member pivotally mounted to the housing for movement substantially parallel to the shearing plane, the second shearing member arranged with the first shearing member for relative shearing action between the first and second shearing members; and
an electro-hydraulic actuator system cooperating with the second shearing member, the actuator system selectively operable to move automatically the second shearing member relative to the first shearing member to shear the chain link and to bend the chain link to define an opening in the chain link greater than the thickness of the chain link, the actuator system including a hydraulic cylinder, a pump, a motor, and a reservoir, the hydraulic cylinder, the pump, the motor, and the reservoir disposed within the housing, the hydraulic cylinder mounted to the second shearing member for movement thereof, the pump fluidly connected to the hydraulic cylinder for driving the hydraulic cylinder, the motor operatively connected to the pump for selectively driving the pump, the hydraulic cylinder having a base and a driving rod with a distal end, the base pivotally mounted to the housing, the distal end of the rod mounted to the second shearing member for moving the second shearing member, the reservoir having a quantity of hydraulic fluid, the pump fluidly connected to the reservoir and to the hydraulic cylinder for drawing the hydraulic fluid from the reservoir and pumping the hydraulic fluid under pressure to the hydraulic cylinder, the hydraulic cylinder fluidly connected to the reservoir to thereby fluidly connect the reservoir, the pump, and the hydraulic cylinder in a closed loop circuit.
2. The apparatus as set forth in claim 1 wherein the actuator system includes a spring for biasing the second shearing member to an open position wherein the first and second shearing edges are disposed apart from each other.
3. The apparatus as set forth in claim 1 wherein the second shearing member is in the form of a lever and includes a pivot end, the chain cutting apparatus includes a rod extending through the second shearing member and supported at each end by the housing, the rod being a fulcrum for the second shearing member, the pivot end and the rod defining a lever arm of the second shearing member, and the driving rod of the hydraulic cylinder operates upon the lever arm for producing the shearing action between the first and second shearing members.
4. The apparatus as set forth in claim 3 wherein the rod comprises a bolt.
5. The apparatus as set forth in claim 1 wherein a base plate is mounted to the housing and disposed between the base of the hydraulic cylinder and the housing.
6. The apparatus as set forth in claim 1 wherein the second shearing member is driven by the hydraulic cylinder below a speed of about 0.200 inches per second.
7. The apparatus as set forth in claim 6 wherein the second shearing member is driven by the hydraulic cylinder at a speed of about 0.096 inches per second.
8. The apparatus as set forth in claim 1 wherein the actuator system further comprises a dump valve for resetting the actuator system such that the second shearing member is in an open position.
9. The apparatus as set forth in claim 8 wherein the dump valve projects through a front cover of the housing.
10. The apparatus as set forth in claim 1 wherein the actuator system moves the second shearing member smoothly and consistently through a substantially uniform stroke.
11. The apparatus as set forth in claim 10 wherein the actuator system moves the second shearing member at a substantially steady rate to allow the shearing members to deliver a substantially constant force to the chain link.
12. The apparatus as set forth in claim 2 wherein the driving rod is reciprocally movable over a range of travel between a retracted position and an extended position, the driving rod being in the refracted position when the second shearing member is in the closed position, the driving rod being in the extended position when the second shearing member is in a cutting position, the spring developing a return force when the second shearing member is in the cutting position, the return force aging the driving rod to the retracted position to thereby convey hydraulic fluid disposed in the hydraulic cylinder to the reservoir.
13. The apparatus as set forth in claim 12 wherein the spring includes a pair of ends, the ends being respectively mounted to the base of the cylinder and the distal end of the driving rod.
14. An apparatus for automatically shearing and bending a chain link, the chain link including a selected thickness, the apparatus comprising:
a housing;
a first shearing member mounted to the housing;
a second shearing member, the second shearing member pivotally mounted to the housing for movement substantially parallel to the shearing plane, the second shearing member arranged with the first shearing member for relative shearing action between the first and second shearing members;
an electro-hydraulic actuator system cooperating with the second shearing member, the actuator system selectively operable to move automatically the second shearing member relative to the first shearing member to shear the chain link and to bend the chain link to define an opening in the chain link greater than the thickness of the chain link, the actuator system including a hydraulic cylinder, a pump, a motor, and a reservoir, the hydraulic cylinder operably arranged with the second shearing member for movement thereof, the pump fluidly connected to the hydraulic cylinder for driving the hydraulic cylinder, the motor operatively connected to the pump for selectively driving the pump, the hydraulic cylinder having a base and a driving rod with a distal end, the base mounted to the housing, the driving rod movable with respect to the base and arranged with the second shearing member for moving the second shearing member, the reservoir having a quantity of hydraulic fluid, the pump fluidly connected to the reservoir and to the hydraulic cylinder for drawing the hydraulic fluid front the reservoir and pumping the hydraulic fluid under pressure to the hydraulic cylinder; and
a spring for biasing the second shearing member to an open position wherein the first and second shearing edges are disposed apart from each other, the spring including a pair of ends, the ends being mounted to the base of the cylinder and the distal end of the rod.
