1. A pointing device interface module for receiving pointing device events generated by a pointing device connected to a computer, comprising:
a calibration module for modifying a rate of movement of a cursor displayed by the computer;
an event detection module for
detecting a less-than-optimal calibration indicator and
modifying the rate of movement of the cursor; and

an application interface module for communicating with an application being performed on the computer.
2. The pointing device interface module according to claim 1, further comprising a storage module for storing calibration information.
3. The pointing device interface module according to claim 2, wherein the storage module stores calibration information for a class of applications.
4. The pointing device interface module according to claim 1, wherein the event detection module automatically reviews the received pointing device events and automatically modifies the rate of movement of the cursor based upon the detected indicator.
5. The pointing device interface module according to claim 1, wherein the application interface module receives calibration information from the application.
6. A method for calibrating a rate of movement of a cursor displayed by a computer in response to a pointing device connected to the computer, comprising the steps of:
requesting a user to operate the pointing device to indicate a natural range of motion of the user while operating the pointing device;
receiving pointing device events from the pointing device while the user is operating the pointing device;
defining the natural range of motion of the user from the pointing device events;
calculating a dimension from the defined natural range of motion; and
defining the rate of movement of the cursor using the dimension.
7. The method according to claim 6, wherein a plurality of dimensions are calculated from the defined range of motion.
8. The method according to claim 6, wherein a plurality of rates of movement of the cursor are defined.
9. The method according to claim 6, wherein the rate of movement is defined using a number of pixels in a display device of the computer.
10. The method according to claim 6, wherein the dimension is calculated using diameters of a plurality of cross-sections of the defined range of motion.
11. A computer system, comprising:
a computer for executing one or more applications and receiving pointing device events generated by a pointing device connected to the computer;
a calibration module for modifying a rate of movement of a cursor displayed by the computer in response to the pointing device events;
an event detection module for
detecting a less-than-optimal calibration indicator and
modifying the rate of movement of the cursor; and

an application interface module for communicating with an application being performed on the computer.
12. The pointing device interface module according to claim 11, further comprising a storage module for storing calibration information.
13. The pointing device interface module according to claim 12, wherein the storage module stores calibration information for a class of applications.
14. The pointing device interface module according to claim 11, wherein the event detection module automatically reviews the received pointing device events and automatically modifies the rate of movement of the cursor based upon the detected indicator.
15. The pointing device interface module according to claim 11, wherein the application interface module receives calibration information from the applications.
16. A method for autonomously modifying a rate of movement of a cursor displayed by a computer in response to a pointing device connected to the computer, comprising the steps of:
receiving pointing device events from the pointing device;
detecting a less-than-optimal calibration indicator for the pointing device events; and
autonomously modifying the rate of movement of the cursor based upon the detected indicator.
17. The method according to claim 16, wherein
the indicator is defined by the cursor moving beyond a boundary of a display area of the computer; and
the modification of the rate of movement of the cursor is to decrease the rate of movement.
18. The method according to claim 16, wherein
the indicator is defined by a plurality of successive long strokes in substantially the same direction; and
the modification of the rate of movement of the cursor is to increase the rate of movement.
19. The method according to claim 16, wherein
the indicator is defined by a stroke greater than a dimension describing a normal range of motion for a user of the pointing device; and
the modification of the rate of movement of the cursor is to increase the rate of movement.
20. The method according to claim 16, wherein
the modification step occurs after a defined number of similar indicators have been detected.

1. A liquid crystal panel substrate comprising:
a semiconductor substrate;
a well region formed on the surface of the semiconductor substrate;
a plurality of pixel units, each pixel unit including a reflective electrode and a switching element electrically connected to the reflective electrode, the pixel units being arranged in a matrix pattern on the substrate, the plurality of pixel units forming a pixel region; and
a capacitor for holding a voltage applied to the pixel, the capacitor including an electrode formed on the well surface, the electrode being the same conductivity type as the well region and having a higher impurity concentration than the well, and the thickness of an insulating film in the capacitor is one third to one fifth the thickness of a gate insulating film of the switching element.
2. The liquid crystal panel substrate according to claim 1, further comprising a predetermined voltage line formed outside the pixel region, wherein the electrode being connected to the predetermined voltage line.
3. The liquid crystal panel comprising;
the liquid crystal panel substrate of claim 1;
a transparent substrate having a counter electrode and being opposed to the liquid crystal panel substrate, the transparent substrate being separated from the liquid crystal panel substrate by a gap; and
a liquid crystal material encapsulated into the gap between the liquid crystal substrate and the transparent substrate.
4. An electronic device comprising the liquid crystal panel of claim 3 as a display section.
5. The projection display device comprising the electronic device of claim 4, a light source, the liquid crystal panel modulating the light from the light source, and a projection lens for projecting the light modulated by the liquid crystal panel.

1. Method for operating a waste water treatment apparatus wherein a first reservoir for storing waste water is interconnected to a second reservoir to receive and store treated water from the first reservoir when a pump is actuated, wherein the method further comprises:
receiving waste water in the first reservoir;
pumping waste water from the first reservoir to the second reservoir;
filtering the waste water from the first reservoir to create treated water prior to being received in the second reservoir; and
using the treated water for cleansing.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein waste water comprises desirable components of water and cleansing agents combined with undesirable components of dirt and oils.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein filtering the waste water comprises separating the undesirable components of dirt and oils from the desirable components of water and cleansing agents.
4. The method of claim 3, wherein the desirable components of water and cleansing agents are stored within the second reservoir.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein the first reservoir includes baffling to separate particulate from the waste water.
6. The method of claim 1, wherein the second reservoir includes baffling to separate particulate from the waste water.
7. The method of claim 1, wherein pumping waste water from the first reservoir to the second reservoir occurs automatically upon reaching a predefined level of fluid in the first reservoir.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein pumping waste water from the first reservoir to the second reservoir occurs upon the activation of a switch.
9. The method of claim 1, wherein filtering the waste water from the first reservoir to create treated water includes utilizing a low flow filter and associated low flow pump.
10. The method of claim 1, wherein filter the waste water from the first reservoir to create treated water includes utilizing a high flow filter and associated high flow pump.
11. The method of claim 1, wherein pumping waste water from the first reservoir to the second reservoir includes a pump switchable between a low flow state and a high flow state.
12. The method of claim 1, wherein the second reservoir includes an outlet for controllably dispensing treated water into an additional container.
13. The method of claim 1, wherein the waste water treatment apparatus includes a control panel for activating pumps and outlets included within the waste water treatment apparatus.
14. The method of claim 13, wherein the control panel further comprises a warning identifier monitoring the usage of the waste water treatment apparatus to predict when a filter change is necessary.
15. The method of claim 1, wherein the waste water treatment apparatus further comprises a removable first reservoir and a removable second reservoir.
16. Apparatus for filtering waste water comprising a first reservoir interconnect to a second reservoir and a pump the apparatus comprising:
the first reservoir for accepting waste water to the apparatus;
waste water having undesirable components of dirt and oils and desirable components of water and cleansing agents;
a filter element located between the first reservoir and the second reservoir to separate undesirable components from the waste water leaving desirable components in treated water;
the second reservoir for accepting and storing treated water within the apparatus and including an outlet for dispensing the treated water; and
a control panel for operating the waste water apparatus.
17. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the control panel for operating the waste water apparatus includes controls to operate valves and pumps included on the waste water apparatus.
18. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the control panel for operating the waste water treatment apparatus includes a warning identifier to monitor the usage of the filter element.
19. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the first reservoir and the second reservoir further comprises a series of baffles for separating particulate matter from the waste water and treated water.
20. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the waste water treatment apparatus is switchable between a high flow and a low flow apparatus.

1. A presentation device comprising:
internal memory storage capable of storing at least one file;
video and audio output ports which provide the capability to connect the device to external display devices;
a port providing the capability to connect the device to a network;
a processing component running an embedded software system; the processing component and embedded software system configured to convert certain data files types into video and audio output signals that can be viewed and heard on external devices.
2. The presentation device of claim 1, the internal memory storage, the port, the processing component and embedded software configured to be capable of receiving data files from external devices connected to it via the network, and automatically determining whether the data files are types that can be processed into video and audio signals displayable on an external display device.
3. The presentation device of claim 1 and claim 2, in which the processing component and embedded software will advance from one image to the next or delete files and presentations based on triggering commands received:
from an external device communicating to the presentation device via a wired or wireless networked connection using the device’s port;
a companion remote control unit;
or specialized remote device.
4. The presentation device of claim 1, wherein the internal memory contains a plurality of files, wherein each of the plurality of files is configured in a different format, and wherein the processing component is further configured to convert each of the plurality of files into a sequence of signals for presentation as a plurality of viewable images.
5. The presentation device of claim 4, the processing component further configured to convert each of the plurality of files into the sequence of signals for display such that transition of display from a first file of the plurality of files to a second file of the plurality of files is seamless.
6. The presentation device of claim 4, wherein the processing component can automatically determine if one of the plurality of files is a configuration file containing information and instructions about how the plurality of files should be processed, and then automatically configuring the presentation device to output video and audio signals consistent with the configuration file instructions.
7. The configuration file of claim 6, wherein the configuration file contains security provisions, including one or more of the following:
limits to the number of times files can be displayed;
limits to ability to view files based on calendar time;
requirement to provide a certain user code before a files can be displayed;
automatic deletion of files and presentations after a certain number of viewings or after a specified calendar time.
8. The presentation device of claim 1, wherein the processing component contains a time function such that files can be automatically queued for a presentation at specified times.
9. The presentation device of claim 1, wherein the processing component and embedded software are capable of automatically outputting video and audio signals and advancing from one image or file to the next in a continuous loop.
10. The presentation device of claim 4, where wherein at least one of the plurality of files is a business presentation file created with business presentation software and at least one other file of the plurality of files is in a format not created by the business presentation software and wherein the processing component is configured to convert the sequence of signals such that the presentation provides a seamless transition between the business presentation file and the at least one other file.
11. The presentation device of claim 1, wherein the processing component is further configured to automatically performance of an embedded software update of the presentation device when it detects that a software upgrade file has been loaded into its internal memory.
12. The presentation device of claim 1, wherein the processing component will configure the presentation device for coordinated multi-device operation based on at least one parameters contained in a configuration file which has been loaded into the device’s internal memory.
13. The presentation device of claim 1, wherein a configuration file has been loaded into the internal memory containing at least the following information: a file order for the at least one presentation, at least one security protocol, and at least one parameter for the multi-device presentation.
14. The presentation device of claim 1, wherein the processing component can automatically prompt the user to choose files or a presentation for display when multiple files or presentations have been loaded into the device’s internal memory.
15. The presentation device of claim 1, including a viewable display integrated with the device.
16. The presentation device of claim 3, wherein a user could simultaneously cause multiple presentation devices in multiple locations to display the same image, by first uploading files into the internal memory of multiple presentation devices and then simultaneously sending a triggering signal to all connected devices.
17. The presentation device of claim 2, wherein the uploading of files into the presentation device’s internal memory does not disrupt a presentation in progress.
18. The presentation device of claim 2, wherein the uploading of files into the presentation device’s internal memory is accomplished by:
printing files to the presentation device (the presentation device appears to a remote computer or handheld device as a printer);
or e-mailing a files to the presentation device (the presentation device appears to a remote computer or handheld device as an e-mail client);
or copying files to the presentation device (the presentation device appears as a memory device on the network).
19. The presentation device of claim 2, wherein users can access a remote server through the presentation device and download files from the remote server via commands to the presentation device.
