a pattern which is formed on a surface of said substrate;
a bank which is formed on said surface of said substrate in accordance with said pattern;
wherein a top surface of said bank is made of a liquid repellent photosensitive material which is made of a photosensitive material containing a liquid repellent compound; and
wherein said liquid repellent compound is a fluorochemical surfactant or a fluorine-containing resin, the molecule in said surfactant or resin having a perfluoroalkyl group or a polyfluoroalkyl group.
2. A substrate for organic EL, comprising:
a pattern which is formed on a surface of said substrate;
a bank which is formed on said surface of said substrate in accordance with said pattern;
wherein a top surface of said bank is made of a liquid repellent photosensitive material which is made of a photosensitive material containing a liquid repellent compound;
wherein said bank as a whole is made of said liquid repellent photosensitive material; and
wherein said liquid repellent compound is a fluorochemical surfactant or a fluorine-containing resin, the molecule in said surfactant or resin having a perfluoroalkyl group or a polyfluoroalkyl group.
3. A substrate for organic EL, comprising:
a pattern which is formed on a surface of said substrate;
a bank which is formed on said surface of said substrate in accordance with said pattern;
wherein a top surface of said bank is made of a liquid repellent photosensitive material which is made of a photosensitive material containing a liquid repellent compound;
wherein said bank has a double-layer structure that a top layer portion including said top surface of said bank is made of said liquid repellent photosensitive material, whereas a bottom layer portion of said bank is made of a non-liquid repellent photosensitive material; and
wherein said liquid repellent compound is a fluorochemical surfactant or a fluorine-containing resin, the molecule in said surfactant or resin having a perfluoroalkyl group or a polyfluoroalkyl group.
4. The substrate for organic EL of claim 3 in which said bank is formed in accordance with said pattern using light having a predetermined exposure wavelength,
wherein said liquid repellent photosensitive material and said non-liquid repellent photosensitive material are both sensitive to said exposure wavelength.
5. The substrate for organic EL of claim 4, wherein said liquid repellent compound is a fluorochemical surfactant or a fluorine-containing resin, the molecule in said surfactant or resin having a perfluoroalkyl group or a polyfluoroalkyl group.

A diffuser pipe assembly (28) of a gas turbine engine including a plurality of circumferentially spaced diffuser pipes (38), each diffuser pipe (38) comprising a substantially truncated conical inlet end section (46) defining an inlet end (40) of the diffuser pipe (38) and a curved section (48) defining an exit end (41) of the diffuser pipe (38) to direct a pressurized airflow from the inlet end (40) through the diffuser pipe (38) to the exit end (41), the curved section (48) having a cross-section expanding rearwardly towards the exit end (41) such that the curved section (48) presents a curved fishtail profile, the inlet end section (46) defining a depressed local area (58) in a pipe wall of the inlet end section (46) such that both inner and outer surfaces of the pipe wall in the depressed local area (58) are bent into the diffuser pipe (38), wherein each consecutive cross section area Sn+1 is bigger than or equal to a preceding one Sn.
2. The diffuser pipe assembly (28) as defined in claim 1 wherein the depressed local area (58) in the pipe wall of the inlet end section (46) is located immediately upstream of the curved section (48).
3. The diffuser pipe assembly (28) as defined in claim 1 wherein the depressed local area (58a or 58b) in the pipe wall is located in the curved section (48).
4. The diffuser pipe assembly (28) as defined in claim 1 wherein the inlet end section (46) comprises a connector (54) defining the inlet end (40) and wherein the depressed local area (58) in the pipe wall of the inlet end section (46) is located downstream of the connector (54).
5. The diffuser pipe assembly (28) as defined in claim 1 comprising a second depressed local area (58c) in the pipe wall of the inlet end section (46), circumferentially spaced apart from said depressed local area (58) with respect to a central axis (52) of the diffuser pipe (38).
6. The diffuser pipe assembly (28) as defined in claim 5 wherein the second depressed local area (58c) is located diametrically opposite to said depressed local area (58) with respect to a central axis (52) of the diffuser pipe (38).
7. A diffuser assembly (28) for a gas turbine engine comprising:
an annular diffuser body (32) having a plurality of orifices (34) disposed circumferentially around an outer periphery (36) of the diffuser body (32);
a plurality of diffuser pipes (38) each having an inlet end (40) connected to one of the orifices (34) of the diffuser body (32), each of the diffuser pipes (38) including an inlet end section (46) in a substantially round cross section defining the inlet end (40) and a curved section (48) defining an exit end (41) of the diffuser pipe (38) to direct a pressurized airflow from the inlet end (40) through a passage to the exit end (41), the curved section (48) having a cross-section expanding rearwardly towards the exit end (41) such that the curved section (48) presents a curved fishtail profile; and
wherein at least one of the diffuser pipes (38) defines a depressed local area (58) in a pipe wall of an upstream section of the at least one diffuser pipe (38) such that both inner and outer surfaces of the pipe wall in the depressed local area (58) are bent into the at least one diffuser pipe (38), wherein each consecutive cross section area Sn+1 is bigger than or equal to the preceding one Sn.
8. The diffuser assembly (28) as defined in claim 7 wherein a central axis (52) of each of the diffuser pipes (38) extends through the inlet end section (46) in a substantially tangential direction with respect to the annular diffuser body (32) and extends at the exit end (41) in a substantially axial direction with respect to a central axis (31) of the engine.
9. The diffuser assembly (28) as defined in claim 7 wherein the inlet end section (46) of each of the diffuser pipes (38) comprises a connector (54) defining the inlet end (40) of the diffuser pipe (38) for connection with said one of the orifices (34) of the diffuser body (32).
10. The diffuser assembly (28) as defined in claim 7 wherein the depressed local area (58) in the pipe wall of the at least one diffuser pipe (38) is located downstream of the connector (54).
11. The diffuser assembly (28) as defined in claim 7 wherein the depressed local area (58) in the pipe wall of the at least one diffuser pipe (38) is located in the inlet end section (46), immediately upstream of the curved section (48).
12. The diffuser assembly (28) as defined in claim 7 wherein the depressed local area (58a or 58b) in the pipe wall of the at least one diffuser pipe (38) is located in the curved section (48).
13. The diffuser assembly (28) as defined in claim 7 wherein the at least one diffuser pipe (38) comprises a second depressed local area (58c) in the pipe wall of the inlet end section (46), circumferentially spaced apart from said depressed local area (58) with respect to a central axis (52) of the diffuser pipe (38).
14. The diffuser assembly (28) as defined in claim 13 wherein the second depressed local area (58c) located diametrically opposite to said depressed local area (58) with respect to a central axis (52) of the at least one diffuser pipe (38).

The diffuser assembly (28) as defined in claim 7 wherein the depressed local area (58) in the pipe wall of the at least one diffuser pipe (38) is in a location directly facing a portion of the diffuser body (32) which defines one (34a) of the orifices adjacent the orifice (34) connected to the at least one diffuser pipe (38), thereby providing an enlarged space (60) between the at least one diffuser pipe (38) and the diffuser body (32).

The diffuser assembly (28) as defined in claim 7 wherein the depressed local area (58) in the pipe wall of the at least one diffuser pipe (38) is in a location directly facing a portion of the adjacent diffuser pipe (38), thereby providing an enlarged space between the at least one diffuser pipe (38) and the adjacent diffuser pipe (38).
17. The diffuser assembly (28) as defined in claim 7 wherein each of the diffuser pipes (38) comprises the depressed local area (58) in the pipe wall of the inlet end section (46).

1. A nozzle for controlling flow of melt through conduits of a mold assembly, the nozzle comprising a nozzle body having a nozzle passage therethrough joining a nozzle inlet and a nozzle outlet, a valve pin guide interposed between the nozzle inlet and nozzle outlet and having a valve pin guide bore therein and at least one guide passage in communication with the portions of the nozzle passage separated by the valve pin guide, a valve pin movably supported within a bore of the valve pin guide, the valve pin movable between an open position permitting melt to flow through the nozzle and a closed position preventing melt from flowing through the nozzle, a contact arm transverse to and passing through an opening in the valve pin guide and engaging the end of the valve pin therein, opposed ends of the contact arm extending beyond the nozzle passage, and a biasing means, the biasing means applying a force to the contact arm in the direction of the closed position, the nozzle being mounted so that the contact arm is displaced to the valve pin open position by forces applied to the contact arm as a result of closure of the mold assembly.
2. The nozzle according to claim 1 further comprising means for relieving internal pressure from retained melt in excess of a predetermined limit, the pressure relieving means comprising a reaction surface on the valve pin to apply forces from melt pressure to the valve pin in a direction to move the valve pin to an open position and a pre-load adjusting means for adjusting the force of the biasing means at which relief of internal pressure will occur.
3. The nozzle according to claim 2 further comprising heaters for maintaining melt within the nozzle in a flowable condition.
4. The nozzle according to claim 2 further comprising an inlet bushing for connection to a conduit of a mold assembly and received within the nozzle body at the nozzle inlet, a nose portion of the inlet bushing being movably supported within the nozzle passage, means for adjusting a maximum overall length of the nozzle with inlet bushing by adjusting an extremity of relative location of the inlet bushing and the nozzle body, and inlet bushing biasing means for biasing the inlet bushing toward the extremity of relative location of the inlet bushing and nozzle body, whereby the overall length of the nozzle with inlet bushing is reduced to a spacing between components of a closed mold assembly when applied forces are sufficient to overcome the inlet bushing biasing means.
5. The nozzle according to claim 4 wherein the means for adjusting the maximum overall length of the nozzle with inlet bushing further comprises adjusting pins having effective lengths spanning the distance between a reference surface of the nozzle body and a reference surface of the inlet bushing and stop nuts for adjusting the effective length of the adjusting pins.
6. The nozzle according to claim 5 wherein the pre-load adjusting means comprises a reference surface of the nozzle body and the adjusting pins are retained by a pin retaining collar comprising a reference surface of the inlet bushing.
7. The nozzle according to claim 4 wherein areas of surfaces acted on by melt pressure during mold filling are effective to produce forces additive with the forces exerted by the inlet bushing biasing means sufficient to overcome forces opposing the inlet bushing biasing means whereby relative movement of the inlet bushing and nozzle body to reduce the overall length of the nozzle with inlet bushing during mold filling is prevented.
8. The nozzle according to claim 1 further comprising an inlet bushing for connection to a conduit of a mold assembly and received within the nozzle body at the nozzle inlet, a nose portion of the inlet bushing being movably supported within the nozzle passage, means for adjusting a maximum overall length of the nozzle with inlet bushing by adjusting an extremity of relative location of the inlet bushing and the nozzle body, and inlet bushing biasing means for biasing the inlet bushing toward the extremity of relative location of the inlet bushing and nozzle body, whereby the overall length of the nozzle with inlet bushing is reduced to a spacing between components of a closed mold assembly when applied forces are sufficient to overcome the inlet bushing biasing means.
9. The nozzle according to claim 8 wherein the means for adjusting the maximum overall length of the nozzle with inlet bushing further comprises adjusting pins having effective lengths spanning the distance between a reference surface of the nozzle body and a reference surface of the inlet bushing and stop nuts for adjusting the effective length of the adjusting pins.
10. The nozzle according to claim 8 wherein areas of surfaces acted on by melt pressure during mold filling are effective to produce forces additive with the forces exerted by the inlet bushing biasing means sufficient to overcome forces opposing the inlet bushing biasing means whereby relative movement of the inlet bushing and nozzle body to reduce the overall length of the nozzle with inlet bushing during mold filling is prevented.
11. The nozzle according to claim 1 further comprising a nozzle tip, the nozzle tip comprising the nozzle outlet.
12. The nozzle according to claim 11 wherein the valve pin comprises a valve end for sealing with the nozzle outlet.
13. The nozzle according to claim 12 wherein the valve end has a stepped cylindrical form.
14. The nozzle according to claim 12 wherein the valve end has a tapered form.
15. An apparatus for controlling flow of melt through a mold arrangement comprising plural mold assemblies, the apparatus comprising at least one conduit for conveying melt from an injection unit to at least one mold assembly, the conduit comprising mating segments abutted with closure of the mold assemblies and separated with opening of the mold assemblies, at least one of the mating segments comprising a nozzle comprising: (i) a nozzle body having a nozzle passage therethrough joining a nozzle inlet and a nozzle outlet; (ii) a valve pin guide interposed between the nozzle inlet and nozzle outlet and having a valve pin guide bore therein and at least one guide passage in communication with the portions of the nozzle passage separated by the valve pin guide; (iii) a valve pin movably supported within a bore of the valve pin guide, the valve pin movable between an open position permitting melt to flow through the nozzle and a closed position preventing melt from flowing through the nozzle; (iv) a contact arm transverse to and passing through an opening in the valve pin guide and engaging the end of the valve pin therein, opposed ends of the contact arm extending beyond the nozzle passage; (v) a biasing means, the biasing means applying a force to the contact arm in the direction of the closed position, the nozzle being mounted so that contact arm is displaced to the valve pin open position by forces applied to the contact arm as a result of closure of the mold assembly; (vi) an inlet bushing for connection to a conduit segment and received within the nozzle body at the nozzle inlet, a nose portion of the inlet bushing being movably supported within the nozzle passage, (vii) means for adjusting a maximum overall length of the nozzle with inlet bushing by adjusting the extremity of relative location of the inlet bushing and the nozzle body, and, (viii) inlet bushing biasing means for biasing the inlet bushing toward the extremity of relative location of the inlet bushing and nozzle body.
16. The apparatus of claim 15 wherein the means for adjusting the maximum overall length of the nozzle with inlet bushing further comprises adjusting pins having effective lengths spanning the distance between a reference surface of the nozzle body and a reference surface of the inlet bushing and stop nuts for adjusting the effective length of the adjusting pins.
17. The apparatus of claim 15 wherein areas of surfaces acted on by melt pressure during mold filling are effective to produce forces additive with the forces exerted by the inlet bushing biasing means sufficient to overcome forces opposing the inlet bushing biasing means whereby relative movement of the inlet bushing and nozzle body to reduce the overall length of the nozzle with inlet bushing during mold filling is prevented.

The apparatus of claim 15 wherein the nozzle further comprises means for relieving internal pressure from retained melt in excess of a predetermined limit, the pressure relieving means comprising a reaction surface on the valve pin to apply forces from melt pressure to the valve pin in a direction to move the valve pin to an open position and a pre-load adjusting means for adjusting the force of the biasing means at which relief of internal pressure will occur.
19. The apparatus of claim 15 wherein the nozzle further comprises a nozzle tip, the nozzle tip comprising the nozzle outlet and the valve pin comprises a valve end forming a seal with the nozzle outlet.
20. The apparatus of claim 19 wherein the valve end is of stepped cylindrical form.

1. A computer-implemented method for receiving password input from a user, comprising:
receiving, by a computing device, user input indicating that a user is entering a password;
displaying a plurality of shortcut keyboards of a keyboard sequence in successive order based on an arrangement of characters in the password, wherein a first shortcut keyboard with a first key labeled with at least a first character of the password is displayed prior to displaying a second shortcut keyboard with a second key labeled with one or more characters positioned subsequent to the first character in the password;
receiving input from the user selecting at least one key of each shortcut keyboard from the plurality of shortcut keyboards; and
determining the password entered by the user based on the characters entered by the user through the key selections.
2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
generating the keyboard sequence corresponding to the password based on the password input from the user, wherein the keyboard sequence comprises at least two shortcut keyboards.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein generating the keyboard sequence corresponding to the password comprises generating the keyboard sequence in a memory of the computing device.
4. The method of claim 2, wherein generating the keyboard sequence comprises:
generating the keyboard sequence with at least one shortcut keyboard with zero characters from the password.
5. The method of claim 4, further comprising:
receiving user input setting a security level for generating the keyboard sequence, wherein generating the keyboard sequence comprises:
based on the security level, setting parameters for the keyboard sequence that include a number of the shortcut keyboards, a number of shortcut keyboards with zero password characters, andor a number of random characters that are not password characters on each shortcut keyboard.
6. The method of claim 2, wherein generating the keyboard sequence corresponding to the password comprises:
generating the keyboard sequence to include at least one shortcut keyboard with a key used for inputting at least two password characters simultaneously.
7. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the plurality of shortcut keyboards of the keyboard sequence comprises:
detecting a password input scenario associated with the user inputting the password;
retrieving data indicating a corresponding relationship between the password input scenario and a keyboard sequence; and
displaying the keyboard sequence corresponding to the password input scenario.
8. The method of claim 7, wherein detecting the password input scenario comprises determining that the user is inputting the password as part of a login scenario or a payment scenario or that the password is for a specific application; and further comprising storing data corresponding the keyboard sequence with one of the login scenario, the payment scenario, or the specific application.
9. The method of claim 2, further comprising:
receiving keyboard configuration information to configure the plurality of shortcut keyboards in the keyboard sequence; and configuring the plurality of shortcut keyboards according to the keyboard configuration information.
10. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
receiving user input to enable or disable generating a keyboard sequence, or to delete or select a keyboard sequence; and, based on the user input, performing one of:
enabling generating a keyboard sequence,
disabling generating a keyboard sequence,
deleting a keyboard sequence, and
selecting a keyboard sequence.
11. A password input apparatus, comprising:
an information receiving module configured to receive user input indicating that a user is entering a password;
a keyboard display module configured to display a plurality of shortcut keyboards of a keyboard sequence in successive order based on an arrangement of characters in the password, wherein a first shortcut keyboard with a first key labeled with at least a first character of the password is displayed prior to displaying a second shortcut keyboard with a second key labeled with one or more characters positioned subsequent to the first character in the password,
wherein the information receiving module is further configured to receive input from the user selecting at least one key of each shortcut keyboard from the plurality of shortcut keyboards; and
a password input module configured to determine the password entered by the user based on the characters selected by the user.
12. The apparatus of claim 11, further comprising:
a keyboard input module, configured to generate the keyboard sequence corresponding to the password based on the password input from the user,
wherein the keyboard sequence comprises at least two shortcut keyboards.
13. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein generating the keyboard sequence corresponding to the password comprises generating the keyboard sequence in a memory of a computing device.
14. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein generating the keyboard sequence comprises generating the keyboard sequence with at least one shortcut keyboard with zero characters from the password.
15. The apparatus of claim 14, wherein the information receiving module is further configured to receive user input setting a security level for generating the keyboard sequence, wherein generating the keyboard sequence comprises:
based on the security level, setting parameters for the keyboard sequence that include a number of the shortcut keyboards, a number of shortcut keyboards with zero password characters, andor a number of random characters that are not password characters on each shortcut keyboard.
16. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein generating the keyboard sequence corresponding to the password comprises:
generating the keyboard sequence to include at least one shortcut keyboard with a key used for inputting at least two password characters simultaneously.
17. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein displaying the plurality of shortcut keyboards of the keyboard sequence comprises:
detecting a password input scenario associated with the user inputting the password;
retrieving data indicating a corresponding relationship between the password input scenario and a keyboard sequence; and
displaying the keyboard sequence corresponding to the password input scenario.
18. The apparatus of claim 17, wherein detecting the password input scenario comprises determining that the user is inputting the password as part of a login scenario or a payment scenario or that the password is for a specific application; and further comprising storing data corresponding the keyboard sequence with one of the login scenario, the payment scenario, or the specific application.
19. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the information receiving module is further configured to receive keyboard configuration information to configure the plurality of shortcut keyboards in the keyboard sequence, and
wherein the keyboard inputting module is further configured to configure the plurality of shortcut keyboards according to the keyboard configuration information.
20. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the information receiving module is further configured to receive user input to enable or disable generating a keyboard sequence, or to delete or select a keyboard sequence; and further comprising a keyboard control module to, based on the user input, perform one of:
enabling generating a keyboard sequence,
disabling generating a keyboard sequence,
deleting a keyboard sequence, and
selecting a keyboard sequence.
21. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that when executed by a computer cause the computer to perform a method for receiving password input from a user, the method comprising:
receiving, by a computing device, user input indicating that a user is entering a password;
displaying a plurality of shortcut keyboards of a keyboard sequence in successive order based on an arrangement of characters in the password, wherein a first shortcut keyboard with a first key labeled with at least a first character of the password is displayed prior to displaying a second shortcut keyboard with a second key labeled with one or more characters positioned subsequent to the first character in the password;
receiving input from the user selecting at least one key of each shortcut keyboard from the plurality of shortcut keyboards; and
determining the password entered by the user based on the characters entered by the user through the key selections.
