1. A reversible hydroelectric device that can be installed on an outside pipe, comprising:
a hydraulic power unit comprising a hydraulic machine comprising a centrifugal pump that can be reversed as a turbine and a hydraulic circuit having branching andor connecting ducts and motorized valves allowing water circulation in said hydraulic machine in one direction or the other irrespective of the direction of circulation of the water in said outside pipe;
an electric machine coupled to said hydraulic machine and comprising an asynchronous motor that can be reversed as an asynchronous generator;
and an electronic system comprising a programmable controller for adjusting andor regulating said valves and an electronic variator for adjusting andor regulating the rotation speed of said electric machine so that the pressure andor the flow rate downstream of the hydraulic machine according to the direction of circulation isare stabilized or adjusted to at least one set point value.
2. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said hydraulic circuit is symmetrical relative to the hydraulic machine.
3. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the body of said hydraulic machine comprises symmetrical ducts.
4. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the electronic system comprises a four-quadrant electronic variator mounted between a main electricity supply and said electric machine and providing, in operation as an asynchronous motor, the adjustment andor regulation of the rotation speed of said electric machine and, in operation as an asynchronous generator, an electrical adaptation to the main electricity supply.
5. The device as claimed in claim 4, wherein the electronic variator comprises two lines in parallel comprising respectively a rectifier and an inverter, mounted head-to-toe, and a switch designed to connect the electric machine and the main electricity supply by either one of said lines or by the other.
6. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the electronic system comprises pressure andor flow-rate sensors placed on either side of the hydraulic machine and connected to said programmable controller.
7. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the electronic system comprises sensors sensing the direction andor rotation speed andor torque of the hydraulic machine connected to said programmable controller.
8. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the electronic system comprises sensors sensing the voltage andor current andor frequency andor thermal properties of the electric machine.
9. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the hydraulic circuit comprises two parallel branching ducts inserted between two portions of said outside pipe and at least one connecting duct the ends of which are connected to said branching ducts, that said hydraulic machine is installed on this connecting duct and that it comprises four motorized valves installed respectively on the portions of said branching ducts formed on either side of the ends of said connecting duct.
10. The device as claimed in claim 9, further comprising several parallel connecting ducts on which are respectively installed hydraulic machines connected to several electric machines or, on the connecting duct, several hydraulic machines in series connected to several electric machines or to an electric machine via a transmission.

1. A method for providing sales-related data over a network comprising the steps of:
receiving a request for sales-related data from a user at a broker address;
accessing broker information from a broker information database based on the broker address;
displaying at least a portion of the broker information with at least a portion of subsequent information presented to the user;
receiving request-related information from the user; and
generating the sales-related data based on the received request-related information.
2. The method of claim 1 further comprising the steps of:
asking the user to select the user’s state of residence; and
receiving the user’s state of residence selection,
wherein the step of generating the sales-related data includes the sub-step of determining the sales-related data to generate based on the user’s state of residence selection.
3. The method of claim 2 further comprising the steps of:
receiving a request from the user to send an email to a broker;
transmitting an email to a first email address of the broker if the user’s state of residence selection corresponds to a state in which the broker is licensed to do business; and
transmitting an email to a second email address of the broker if the user’s state of residence selection does not correspond to a state in which the broker is licensed to do business.
4. The method of claim 3 further comprising the step of comparing the user’s state of residence selection with a list of states in which the broker is licensed to do business.
5. The method of claim 1 wherein the step of receiving the request-related information from the user comprises the sub-step of receiving lifestyle information from the user.

The method of claim 5 wherein the lifestyle information comprises at least one of a criminal record, a record of drug use, a record of alcohol use, a record of tobacco use, a record of engaging in high risk activities, a record of engaging in dangerous activities, a cholesterol level, and a blood pressure level.
7. The method of claim 1 wherein the step of receiving the request-related information from the user includes receiving at least one of a date of birth, a state of residence, a height, a weight, a gender, a type of product desired, and a county of citizenship.
8. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of determining the sales-related data based on the received request-related information.
9. The method of claim 8 wherein the step of determining the sales-related data includes a sub-step of using a lookup table.
10. The method of claim 8 wherein the step of determining the sales-related data includes a sub-step of applying a plurality of predetermined rules to the request-related information.
11. The method of claim 1 wherein the sales-related data comprises an insurance quote.
12. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of requesting the request-related information from the user and returning an error message if the user fails to appropriately provide any portion of the request-related information.
13. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of requesting the request-related information from the user and returning the user to a request-related information form if the user fails to appropriately provide any portion of the request-related information.
14. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of determining an eligibility of the user from the request-related information and displaying a decline message if the request-related information indicates that the user is not eligible to purchase any one of a plurality of the available products.
15. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of displaying a targeted message if an entry in a field of the request-related information matches a stored entry of a field in a database.
16. The method of claim 1 wherein the broker information comprises broker contact information.
17. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of writing data regarding the user to a visitor_tracking_table.
18. The method of claim 17 further comprising the step of generating a report based on data in the visitor_tracking_table.
19. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of receiving a product selection from the user, and wherein the step of generating the sales-related data includes a sub-step of generating the sales-related data based on the received product selection.

21. A system for providing sales-related data over a network comprising:
means for receiving a request for sales-related data from a user at a broker address;
means for accessing broker information from a broker information database based on the broker address;
means for displaying at least a portion of the broker information with at least a portion of subsequent information presented to the user;
means for receiving request-related information from the user; and
means for generating the sales-related data based on the received request-related information.
22. The system of claim 21 further comprising:
means for asking the user to select the user’s state of residence; and
means for receiving the user’s state of residence selection,
wherein the means for generating the sales-related data includes means for determining the sales-related data to generate based on the user’s state of residence selection.

means for receiving a request from the user to send an email to a broker;

generating the sales-related data based on the determined parameters; and
displaying the sales-related information with broker specific information to the user, the broker specific information being retrieved from a broker database based on the broker address.
37. The method of claim 36 further comprising the step of receiving a request for a displayed product from the user and receiving contact information from the user wherein a broker may contact the user to complete a sale of the requested product.

means for determining one or more parameters for the sales-related data based on the provided request-related information;
means for generating the sales-related data based on the determined parameters; and
means for displaying the sales-related information with broker specific information to the user, the broker specific information being retrieved from a broker database based on the broker address.
43. The system of claim 42 further comprising means for receiving a request for a displayed product from the user and means for receiving contact information from the user wherein a broker may contact the user to complete a sale of the requested product.

a database management system including a database for sales-related data and broker information;
a server for receiving one or more requests from a user and for serving one or more responses to the user;
a processor for retrieving broker information from the database based on one or more broker addresses and for generating sales-related data based on request-related information received from the user; and
a display generator for generating a display of the generated sales-related data with the retrieved broker information.
49. The system of claim 48 wherein the database management system further includes a database server.
50. The system of claim 48 further comprising a servlet engine for generating the sales-related data.
51. A computer readable medium, the computer readable medium storing computer readable code executable to perform a process for providing sales-related data over a network, wherein the process comprises the steps of:
receiving a request for sales-related data from a user at a broker address;
accessing broker information from a broker information database based on the broker address;
displaying at least a portion of the broker information with at least a portion of subsequent information presented to the user;
receiving request-related information from the user; and
generating the sales-related data based on the received request-related information.
52. A computer readable medium, the computer readable medium storing computer readable code executable to perform a process for providing sales-related data over a network, wherein the process comprises the steps of:
receiving a request for sales-related data from a user at a broker address;
requesting the user to select the user’s state of residence;
determining one or more available products based on the user’s selected state of residence;
requesting the user to provide request-related information;
determining one or more parameters for the sales-related data from the request-related information;
generating the sales-related data based on the determined parameters; and
displaying the sales-related information with broker specific information to the user, the broker specific information retrieved from a broker database based on the broker address.

3. A method of producing ceramics base plates as claimed in claim 1, comprising forming the continuous flaw to a depth of from {fraction (1100)} to {fraction (110)} of the thickness of the ceramics sintered base plate.
4. A method of producing ceramics base plates as claimed in claim 1, wherein Vickers hardness of the ceramics sintered base plate is 1,500 Hv or lower.
5. A method of producing ceramics base plates as claimed in claim 1, wherein the ceramics sintered base plate is an aluminum nitride sintered base plate.

detect a selection of the user interface object;
detect, with the motion sensor, a motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture; and
in response to detecting the motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture, display the background of the user interface on the display of the electronic device based on the sequence of images.

wherein the sequence of images includes a first image, a last image, and a representative image, and
wherein displaying the background based on the sequence of images includes:
displaying, in sequence, a first set of one or more images from the sequence of images that are positioned before the representative image and the representative image.
3. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 2, wherein the one or more programs further comprises instructions, which when executed by the one or more processors of the electronic device, cause the electronic device to:
after displaying the first set of images, detect a user input; and
in response to detecting the user input, display, in sequence, a second set of one or more images from the sequence of images that are positioned after the representative image including the last image.
4. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 2, wherein the one or more programs further comprises instructions, which when executed by the one or more processors of the electronic device, cause the electronic device to:
after displaying the first set of images, detect a user input including a first portion and a second portion after the first portion;
in response to the first portion of the user input, display, in sequence, a second set of one or more images from the sequence of images that are positioned after the representative image; and
in response to the second portion of the user input, display, in sequence, a third set of one or more images from the sequence of images that are positioned after the representative image and the last image,
wherein the one or more images of the second set of images are positioned before the one or more images of the third set of images.
5. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 2, wherein the one or more programs further comprises instructions, which when executed by the one or more processors of the electronic device, cause the electronic device to:
after displaying the first set of images, detect a rotation of the rotatable input mechanism;
in response to the rotation of the rotatable input mechanism, replace the display of the representative image with a second image from the sequence of images;
detect a second user input representing a selection of the second image as the representative image;
after detecting the second user input representing a selection of the second image as the representative image, detect, with the motion sensor, a second motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture; and
in response to detecting the second motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture, display the background of the user interface on the display of the electronic device based on the sequence of images with the second image as the representative image.
6. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1,
wherein the sequence of images includes a first image, a last image, and a representative image, and
wherein displaying the background based on the sequence of images includes:
displaying, in sequence, the representative image and a first set of one or more images from the sequence of images that are positioned after the representative image including the last image.
7. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 6, wherein the one or more programs further comprises instructions, which when executed by the one or more processors of the electronic device, cause the electronic device to:
after displaying the first set of images, detect a user input; and
in response to detecting the user input, display, in sequence, a second set of one or more images from the sequence of images that are positioned before the representative image and the representative image.
8. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 6, wherein the one or more programs further comprises instructions, which when executed by the one or more processors of the electronic device, cause the electronic device to:

after displaying the first set of images, detect a rotation of the rotatable input mechanism;
in response to the rotation of the rotatable input mechanism, replace the display of the last image with a second image from the sequence of images;
detect a second user input representing a selection of the second image as the representative image;
after detecting the second user input representing a selection of the second image as the representative image, detect, with the motion sensor, a second motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture; and
in response to detecting the second motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture, display the background of the user interface on the display of the electronic device based on the sequence of images with the second image as the representative image.
10. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1,
wherein the sequence of images includes a first image, a last image, and a representative image, and
wherein displaying the background based on the sequence of images includes:
displaying, in sequence, a first set of images from the sequence of images including the representative image, one or more images positioned after the representative image, one or more images positioned before the representative image, and the representative image.
11. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 10, wherein the one or more programs further comprises instructions, which when executed by the one or more processors of the electronic device, cause the electronic device to:
after displaying the first set of images, detect a user input; and
in response to detecting the user input, display, in sequence, a second set of one or more images from the sequence of images that are positioned after the representative image including the last image.
12. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 10, wherein the one or more programs further comprises instructions, which when executed by the one or more processors of the electronic device, cause the electronic device to:
after displaying the first set of images, detect a user input including a first portion and a second portion after the first portion;

in response to the second portion of the user input, display, in sequence, a third set of one or more images from the sequence of images that are positioned after the representative image and the last image,

13. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 10, wherein the one or more programs further comprises instructions, which when executed by the one or more processors of the electronic device, cause the electronic device to:
after displaying the first set of images, detect a rotation of the rotatable input mechanism;
in response to the rotation of the rotatable input mechanism, replace the display of the representative image with a second image from the sequence of images;
detect a second user input representing a selection of the second image as the representative image;
after detecting the second user input representing a selection of the second image as the representative image, detect, with the motion sensor, a second motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture; and
in response to detecting the second motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture, display the background of the user interface on the display of the electronic device based on the sequence of images with the second image as the representative image.
14. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1, wherein the user interface comprises:
the background;
a first user interface object indicating a time of day; and
a second user interface object indicating a date.

16. A method, comprising:
at an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display, a rotatable input mechanism, and a motion sensor configured to sense motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture, wherein the touch-sensitive display comprises one or more sensors to detect the intensity of contacts with the touch-sensitive display:
receiving, via wireless communication, data representing a sequence of images stored on an external device;
displaying, on the touch-sensitive display, a representation of the sequence of images;
detecting a contact on the touch-sensitive display at a location of the representation of the sequence of images;
determining whether the contact has a characteristic intensity above a threshold intensity;
in response to a determination that the characteristic intensity is above the threshold intensity, displaying a user interface menu including a user interface object,
wherein the user interface object represents an option to display a background of a user interface on the display of the electronic device based on the sequence of images;

detecting a selection of the user interface object;
detecting, with the motion sensor, a motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture; and
in response to detecting the motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture, displaying the background of the user interface on the display of the electronic device based on the sequence of images.
17. An electronic device comprising:
a touch-sensitive display;
a rotatable input mechanism;
a motion sensor configured to sense motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture;
one or more processors;
a memory; and
one or more programs, wherein the one or more programs are stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for:
receiving, via wireless communication, data representing a sequence of images stored on an external device;
displaying, on the touch-sensitive display, a representation of the sequence of images;
detecting a contact on the touch-sensitive display at a location of the representation of the sequence of images;
determining whether the contact has a characteristic intensity above a threshold intensity;
in response to a determination that the characteristic intensity is above the threshold intensity, displaying a user interface menu including a user interface object,
wherein the user interface object represents an option to display a background of a user interface on the display of the electronic device based on the sequence of images;

detecting a selection of the user interface object;
detecting, with the motion sensor, a motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture; and
in response to detecting the motion indicative of a wrist raise gesture, displaying the background of the user interface on the display of the electronic device based on the sequence of images.
