1. An apparatus for assembling a rivet body with a workpiece, which comprises:
a tool housing;
a pair of jaws mounted in, and having forward portions extending from, a forward end of the housing;
a driver formed on a forward end of each of the pair of jaws and positioned for engagement with the rivet body;
the jaws being locatable in an open position where the forward portions thereof are spaced apart, and in a closed position where the forward portions thereof are in close proximity;
a means for rotating the pair of jaws when the jaws are in the closed position;
a means for axially displacing a mandrel associated with the rivet body;
a first set of gear teeth on a first jaw of the pair of jaws;
a second set of gear teeth on a second jaw of the pair of jaws;
the first set of gear teeth and the second set of gear teeth forming a full circular gear with teeth extending radially outward when the pair of jaws is in the closed position;
a drive gear having teeth extending radially inward in mesh with the radially outward teeth of the full circular gear; and
a motor coupled to the drive gear.
2. The apparatus as set forth in claim 1, which further comprises:
a means for moving the pair of jaws in a to-and-fro movement between the closed position thereof and the open position thereof.
3. The apparatus as set forth in claim 2, which further comprises:
a means for forming a pivot point about which each of the pair of jaws is pivoted when the pair of jaws are moved in a to-and-fro movement between the closed position thereof and the open position thereof.
4. The apparatus as set forth in claim 3, which further comprises:
a means for retaining being engageable with the first and second jaws for retaining the jaws in the closed position.
5. The apparatus as set forth in claim 4, wherein the means for retaining includes:
a first set of gear teeth on a first jaw of the pair of jaws;
a second set of gear teeth on a second jaw of the pair of jaws;
the first set of gear teeth and the second set of gear teeth forming a full circular gear with teeth extending radially outward when the pair of jaws is in the closed position; and
a retaining gear having teeth extending radially inward in mesh with the radially outward teeth of, and surrounding, the full circular gear when the pair of jaws are in the closed position.
6. The apparatus as set forth in claim 1, which further comprises:
each of the pair of jaws being formed with rear bearing surface;
a plurality of ball bearings mounted in the tool housing in engagement with the rear bearing surfaces; and
means for selectively moving the plurality of ball bearings with respect to, and while in continuous engagement with, the bearing surfaces to move the pair of jaws from the closed position to the open position.
7. The apparatus as set forth in claim 1, wherein the driver comprises a lug which is formed on and extends laterally of the forward portion of the respective jaw toward the lug of the other jaw of the pair of jaws.
8. An apparatus for assembling a rivet body with a workpiece, which comprises:
a tool housing;
a pair of jaws mounted in, and having forward portions extending from, a forward end of the housing;
a driver formed on a forward end of each of the pair of jaws and positioned for engagement with the rivet body;
the jaws being locatable in an open position where the forward portions thereof are spaced apart, and in a closed position where the forward portions thereof are in close proximity;
a means for rotating the pair of jaws when the jaws are in the closed position;
a means for axially displacing a mandrel associated with the rivet body;
a motor having a pinion;
a drive belt coupled to the pinion of the motor;
an intermediate drive gear coupled to the drive belt;
a drive tube coupled to the intermediate drive gear;
a rotary drive gear coupled to the drive tube; and
a full circular gear coupled to the rotary drive gear and formed on, and by, the pair of jaws when the pair of jaws are in the closed position.
9. An apparatus for assembling a rivet body with a workpiece, which comprises:
a tool housing;
a pair of jaws mounted in the housing;
a driver formed on a forward end of each of the pair of jaws and positioned for engagement with the rivet body;
the jaws being locatable in an open position where the forward portions thereof are spaced apart, and in a closed position;
a rotation drive mechanism configured to rotate the pair of jaws when the jaws are in the closed position;
a mechanism adapted to move the pair of jaws between the closed position thereof and the open position thereof;
a mechanism configured to retract a mandrel associated with the rivet body;
a motor having a pinion;
a drive belt coupled to the pinion of the motor;
a drive member coupled to the drive gear;
a rotary drive gear coupled to the drive member; and
a circular gear coupled to the rotary drive gear and formed on, and by, the pair of jaws when the pair of jaws are in the closed position.
10. The apparatus as set forth in claim 9, wherein the pair of jaws is pivoted when the jaws are moved between the closed position thereof and the open position thereof.
11. The apparatus as set forth in claim 10, which further comprises:
a retainer operably engageable with the pair of jaws for retaining the jaws in the closed position.
12. The apparatus as set forth in claim 11, wherein the retainer includes:
a first set of gear teeth on a first jaw of the pair of jaws;
a second set of gear teeth on a second jaw of the pair of jaws;
the first set of gear teeth and the second set of gear teeth forming a full circular gear with teeth extending radially outward when the pair of jaws is in the closed position; and
a retaining gear having teeth extending radially inward in mesh with the radially outward teeth of, and surrounding, the full circular gear when the pair of jaws are in the closed position.
13. The apparatus as set forth in claim 9, wherein each of the pair of jaws being formed with a rear bearing surface, said apparatus further comprising a plurality of ball bearings mounted in the tool housing in engagement with the rear bearing surfaces; and
a mechanism for selectively moving the plurality of ball bearings with respect to, and while in continuous engagement with, the bearing surfaces to move the pair of jaws from the closed position to the open position.
14. The apparatus as set forth in claim 9, wherein the driver of each respective jaw of the pair of jaws comprises a lug which is formed on and extends laterally of the forward portion of the respective jaw toward the lug of the other jaw of the pair of jaws.
15. An apparatus for assembling a rivet body with a workpiece, which comprises:
a tool housing;
a pair of laws mounted in the housing;
a driver formed on a forward end of each of the pair of laws and positioned for engagement with the rivet body;
the laws being locatable in an open position where the forward portions thereof are spaced apart, and in a closed position;
a rotation drive mechanism configured to rotate the pair of laws when the jaws are in the closed position;
a mechanism adapted to move the pair of laws between the closed position thereof and the open position thereof;
a mechanism configured to retract a mandrel associated with the rivet body;
a first set of gear teeth on a first jaw of the pair of jaws;
a second set of gear teeth on a second jaw of the pair of jaws;
the first set of gear teeth and the second set of gear teeth forming a full circular gear with teeth extending radially outward when the pair of jaws is in the closed position;
a drive gear having teeth extending radially inward in mesh with the radially outward teeth of the full circular gear; and
a motor coupled to the drive gear.

1. A method for preventing an integrated receiving device (IRD) from having insufficient memory, the IRD being connected with a headend via a community antenna television (CATV) network, the method comprising:
(a) acquiring attributes of an application from the headend through the CATV network;
(b) analyzing the attributes to obtain a memory-usage descriptor of the application;
(c) determining whether the IRD has sufficient memory to store the application according to the memory-usage descriptor;
(d) killing a bound application which has a lower priority in the IRD, if the IRD has insufficient memory to store the application;
(e) killing an unbound application which has a lower priority in the IRD, if the IRD has insufficient memory to store the application after block (d);
(f) repeating blocks (d) and (e) till the IRD has sufficient memory to store the application; and
(g) downloading the application from the headend, and saving the downloaded application in a storage system of the IRD.
2. The method as described in claim 1, wherein the attributes is stored in an application information tableextended application information table (AITXAIT) part of the headend, and is transmitted to the IRD via a moving picture expert group\u20142 (MPEG2 transport stream.
3. The method as described in claim 1, wherein the memory-usage descriptor records a file size of the application.
4. The method as described in claim 1, further comprising:
executing the downloaded application.
5. An integrated receiving device (IRD), the IRD being connected with a headend via a community antenna television (CATV) network, the IRD comprising:
an acquiring module operable to acquire attributes of an application from the headend through the CATV network, and analyze the attributes to obtain a memory-usage descriptor of the application;
an application monitoring module operable to determine whether the IRD has sufficient memory to store the application according to the memory-usage descriptor, and kill a bound application or an unbound application which has a lower priority in the IRD if the IRD has insufficient memory to store the application;
a downloading module operable to download the application from the headend and save the downloaded application in a storage system of the IRD if the IRD has sufficient memory to store the application; and
at least one processor that executes the acquiring module, the application monitoring module, and the downloading module.
6. The IRD as described in claim 5, further comprising:
an executing module operable to store the downloaded application.
7. The IRD as described in claim 5, wherein the attributes is stored in an application information tableextended application information table (AITXAIT) part of the headend, and is transmitted to the IRD via a moving picture expert group\u20142 (MPEG2 transport stream.
8. The IRD as described in claim 5, wherein the memory-usage descriptor records a file size of the application.
9. A storage medium having stored thereon instructions that, when executed by a processor of an integrated receiving device (IRD), causes the processor to prevent the IRD from having insufficient memory, the IRD being connected with a headend via a community antenna television (CATV) network, the method comprising:
(a) acquiring attributes of an application from the headend through the CATV network;
(b) analyzing the attributes to obtain a memory-usage descriptor of the application;
(c) determining whether the IRD has sufficient memory to store the application according to the memory-usage descriptor;
(d) killing a bound application which has a lower priority in the IRD, if the IRD has insufficient memory to store the application;
(e) killing an unbound application which has a lower priority in the IRD, if the IRD has insufficient memory to store the application after block (d);
(f) repeating blocks (d) and (e) till the IRD has sufficient memory to store the application; and
(g) downloading the application from the headend, and saving the downloaded application in a storage system of the IRD.
10. The storage medium as described in claim 9, wherein the attributes is stored in an application information tableextended application information table (AITXAIT) part of the headend, and is transmitted to the IRD via a moving picture expert group\u20142 (MPEG2 transport stream.
11. The storage medium as described in claim 9, wherein the memory-usage descriptor records a file size of the application.

1. An open roof construction for a vehicle, comprising a roof opening provided in a stationary roof part, a movable panel configured to open and close said roof opening and a wind deflector assembly positioned near a forward edge of the roof opening, which wind deflector assembly comprises a frame part extending substantially in a transverse direction and movable between a retracted position below the level of the stationary roof part and an extended position above said level of the stationary roof part and a flexible member which with a first end is attached to said frame part and which with an opposite second end is attached to a stationary part of the vehicle, a guide rod for the flexible member extending in a transverse direction and movable in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, wherein the flexible member, starting from its second end, successively extends in a first sense substantially along said longitudinal direction towards the guide rod, partially around said guide rod and in an opposite sense substantially along said longitudinal direction, past a stationary guide therefor and from there extends towards the frame part, and wherein the guide rod is configured to move in such a manner that the flexible member is maintained in a taut state in all positions of the frame part.
2. The open roof construction according to claim 1, wherein said first sense corresponds with a forward direction with respect to the vehicle.
3. The open roof construction according to claim 1, wherein the frame part of the wind deflector assembly is biased towards its extended position and at least part of its momentary positions are defined by an engagement with the movable panel, wherein further a first drive mechanism is operably coupled to move the movable panel and a second drive mechanism is operably coupled to determine a longitudinal position of the guide rod, wherein the first and second drive mechanism are synchronized to keep the flexible member in a taut state, and wherein the synchronization between the first and second drive mechanism is obtained through mechanical andor electronic devices.
4. The open roof construction according to claim 1, wherein the guide rod is biased in said first sense substantially along the longitudinal direction, and wherein the guide rod is engaged by a spring extending between said guide rod and a stationary part of the vehicle.
5. The open roof construction according to claim 1, wherein the guide rod comprises two opposite ends which are guided in two corresponding stationary guide channels each extending substantially in the longitudinal direction.
6. A wind deflector assembly for an open roof construction of a vehicle having a roof opening, the wind deflector assembly comprising:
a frame part movable between a retracted position and an extended position above the retracted position;
a flexible member having a first end attached to said frame part and an opposite second end configured to be attached to a stationary part of the vehicle;
a guide rod configured to engage the flexible member, the guide rod extending in a first direction substantially parallel to the frame part and configured to move in a second direction transverse to the first direction;
wherein the flexible member, starting from its second end, successively extends in a first sense in the second direction towards the guide rod, partially around said guide rod and in an opposite sense away from the guide rod and towards the frame part, and wherein the guide rod is movable in such a manner that the flexible member is maintained in a taut state in from the retracted position to the extended position of the frame part.
7. The wind deflector assembly according to claim 6, wherein the frame part of the wind deflector assembly is biased towards the extended position and further comprising a drive mechanism coupled to the guide rod to determine a position of the guide rod in the second direction.
8. The wind deflector assembly according to claim 6, wherein the guide rod is biased in said first sense, wherein the guide rod is engaged by a spring, and wherein the guide rod comprises two opposite ends which are guided in two spaced apart guide channels each extending in the second direction.
9. The wind deflector assembly according to claim 6, wherein the guide rod comprises a rotatable guide roll.
10. A method of positioning a wind deflector with respect to a roof opening in a fixed roof of a vehicle, the vehicle having a movable panel for opening and closing the roof opening and the wind deflector having a frame part extending substantially in a transverse direction with respect to a longitudinal direction of the vehicle and movable from a retracted position below the fixed roof to an extended position above the fixed roof, and a flexible member having a first end attached to said frame part and which with an opposite second end attached to a stationary part of the vehicle, a guide rod configured to engage the flexible member extending in the transverse direction and movable in the vehicle in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, wherein the guide rod contacts the flexible member to maintain it taut in at least intermediate positions between the retracted position and the extended position, the method comprising:
moving the frame part from a retracted position below the fixed roof to an extended position of the fixed roof; and
moving the guide rod in such a manner that the flexible member is maintained in a taut state in intermediate positions from the retracted position to the extended position and wherein at least a portion of the flexible member from the guide rod to the frame part extends at an oblique angle with respect to the longitudinal direction for at least some positions of the guide rod, and wherein the flexible member, starting from its second end, successively extends in a first sense substantially along said longitudinal direction towards the guide rod, partially around said guide rod and in an opposite sense substantially along said longitudinal direction, past a stationary guide therefor and from there extends towards the frame part.
11. The open roof construction according to claim 1, wherein the stationary guide is defined by a rotatable guide roll having a stationary axis of rotation.
12. The open roof construction according to claim 1, wherein the stationary guide is defined by a plate shaped member positioned underneath a forward inner edge of the roof opening having a rounded edge facing the roof opening for guiding the flexible member, and wherein the plate shaped member is shaped as water collecting gutter configured to collect water entering the roof opening when the movable panel is in a position for opening the roof opening.
13. The open roof construction according to claim 1, wherein the guide rod comprises a rotatable guide roll.
14. The open roof construction according to claim 1, and further comprising:
two corresponding stationary guide channels each extending in the longitudinal direction, wherein the guide rod comprises two opposite ends which are guided in the two corresponding stationary guide channels; and
a link arm configured to drive the guide rod within the stationary guide channels.
15. The open roof construction according to claim 14, and further comprising a slide block for an end of the guide rod, the slide block guiding the end of the guide rod in a one of the two corresponding stationary guide channels, the link arm rotatably coupled to the slide block.
16. The open roof construction according to claim 14, and further comprising a first drive mechanism for the movable panel and a second drive mechanism for the guide rod for determining its longitudinal position, wherein the first and second drive mechanism are synchronised to keep the flexible member in a taut state, wherein the second drive mechanism is coupled to control movement of the link arm.
17. The open roof construction according to claim 14, and further comprising a pivot arm rotatably coupled between the frame part and the vehicle, and wherein the link arm is rotatably coupled between the guide rod and the pivot arm.
18. The wind deflector assembly according to claim 1, wherein the frame part of the wind deflector assembly is biased towards the extended position and wherein a drive mechanism is coupled to the guide rod to determine a longitudinal position of the guide rod, and further comprising:
two corresponding stationary guide channels each extending in the longitudinal direction, wherein the guide rod comprises two opposite ends which are guided in the two corresponding stationary guide channels; and
a link arm configured to move the guide rod within the stationary guide channels.
19. The wind deflector assembly according to claim 18, and further comprising a slide block at an end of the guide rod, the slide block guiding the end of the guide rod in a one of the two corresponding stationary guide channels, the link arm rotatably coupled to the slide block.
20. The wind deflector assembly according to claim 18, and further comprising a drive mechanism for the guide rod for determining its position in the second direction.
21. The wind deflector assembly according to claim 20, wherein the drive mechanism is coupled to control movement of the link arm.
22. The wind deflector assembly according to claim 18, and further comprising a pivot arm rotatably coupled to the frame part and couplable to the vehicle, wherein the link arm is rotatably coupled between the guide rod and the pivot arm.
23. The wind deflector assembly according to claim 21, wherein the drive mechanism comprises a push spring coupled to the slide block and couplable to the vehicle to bias the guide rod toward the frame part.
24. The wind deflector assembly according to claim 22, wherein the drive mechanism comprises a pull spring coupled to the slide block and couplable to the vehicle to bias the guide rod toward the frame part.
25. The wind deflector assembly according to claim 18, and further comprising:
a pivot arm rotatably coupled to the frame part and rotatably couplable to the vehicle, wherein the link arm is rotatably coupled between the guide rod and the pivot arm; and
a biasing spring coupled to the link arm to bias the pivot arm toward a closed position.

A biaxially oriented polyester film prepared by biaxially drawing a polyester sheet which has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 60\xb0 C. or higher, in the longitudinal and transverse directions, wherein the biaxially oriented film has a specific gravity of 1.38 or less and a dead-fold retainability of at least 60% defined as below:

wherein \u03b8 is an angle formed when a polyester film sheet is folded under a pressure of 30 psi for 3 seconds at room temperature and the folded sheet is kept at a vertical position for 1 hr.
2. The biaxially oriented polyester film of claim 1, wherein the polyester sheet is prepared from one or more resins obtained by polycondensation of a dicarboxylic acid component and an alkylene glycol component.
3. The biaxially oriented film of claim 2, wherein the dicarboxylic acid component comprises dimethyl terephthalate or terephthalic acid.
4. The biaxially oriented film of claim 3, wherein the dicarboxylic acid component further comprises at least one aromatic dicarboxylic acid selected from the group consisting of isophthalic acid, naphthalene dicarboxylic acid, dimethyl isophthalate, dimethyl-2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylate.
5. The biaxially oriented film of claim 2, wherein the alkylene glycol component comprises ethylene glycol.
6. The biaxially oriented film of claim 5, wherein the alkylene glycol component further comprises at least one alkylene glycol selected from the group consisting of diethylene glycol, trimethylene glycol, tetramethylene glycol, 1,4-cyclohexane dimethanol and 2,2-dimethyl(\u22121,3-propane)diol.
7. The biaxially oriented film of claim 1, wherein the crystallization degree of the film is less than 40%.
8. The biaxially oriented film of claim 1, wherein the product of drawing ratios in the longitudinal and transverse directions is in the range of 4 to 20.
9. The biaxially oriented film of claim 1, wherein the drawing in the longitudinal direction is conducted at a temperature in the range of Tg of the polyester sheet and Tg+30\xb0 C.
10. The biaxially oriented film of claim 1, wherein the drawing in the transverse direction is conducted at a temperature in the range of Tg of the polyester sheet +10\xb0 C. and Tg+40\xb0 C.
11. The biaxially oriented film of claim 1, wherein the refractive indexes of the film in the longitudinal and transverse directions are each 1.6 or higher.
12. The biaxially oriented film of claim 1, wherein the film is used for twist wrapping.
