1. A bicycle hub freewheel assembly configured to be mounted in a freely rotatable manner to a hub shaft of a bicycle hub, comprising:
a cylindrical outer main body including a first outer radially facing portion having a first rotation preventing section configured to radially engage an inner radially facing part of at least one first sprocket such that the outer main body cannot rotate relative to the at least one first sprocket, the cylindrical outer main body also including a second outer radially facing portion; and
a cylindrical adapter mounted in a freely rotatable manner on the second outer radially facing portion of the outer main body, the adapter including a second rotation preventing section configured to radially engage an inner radially facing part of at least one second sprocket such that the adapter cannot rotate relative to the at least one second sprocket.
2. The bicycle hub freewheel assembly as recited in claim 1, wherein
the outer main body and the adapter are constructed of different materials.
3. The bicycle hub freewheel assembly as recited in claim 2, wherein
the first and second rotation preventing sections have a generally identical diametric cross sectional shape that are arranged closely adjacent to each other in an axial direction, and that are prevented from rotating relative to each other by engaging simultaneously with one of the first and second sprockets.
4. The bicycle hub freewheel assembly as recited in claim 1, wherein
the first and second rotation preventing sections have a generally identical diametric cross sectional shape that are arranged closely adjacent to each other in an axial direction, and that are prevented from rotating relative to each other by engaging simultaneously with one of the first and second sprockets.
5. The bicycle hub freewheel assembly as recited in claim 4, wherein
the adapter is press fitted onto an outer radially facing portion of the outer main body.
6. A bicycle hub freewheel assembly configured to be mounted in a freely rotatable manner to a hub shaft of a bicycle hub, comprising:
a cylindrical outer main body including a first outer radially facing portion configured to radially engage an inner radially facing part of at least one first sprocket and a second outer radially facing portion, the first and second outer radially facing portions being formed as a single unitary element; and
a cylindrical adapter constructed of a different material than the outer main body, and including an inner engaging section having an inner radially facing surface engaging an outer surface of the second outer radially facing portion of the outer main body such that the adapter cannot rotate relative to the outer main body.
7. The bicycle hub freewheel assembly as recited in claim 6, wherein
the adapter includes a first rotation preventing section that engages an inner radially facing part of at least one second sprocket such that the adapter cannot rotate relative to the at least one second sprocket.
8. The bicycle hub freewheel assembly as recited in claim 7, wherein
the outer main body includes a second rotation preventing section that engages the inner radially facing part of the at least one first sprocket such that the outer main body cannot rotate relative to the at least one first sprocket; and
the first and second rotation preventing sections have generally an identical diametric cross sectional shape that are arranged closely adjacent to each other in an axial direction.
9. The bicycle hub freewheel assembly as recited in claim 7, wherein
the adapter is press fitted onto the second outer radially facing portion of the outer main body.
10. The bicycle hub freewheel assembly as recited in claim 6, wherein
the adapter is press fitted onto the second outer radially facing portion of the outer main body.
11. A bicycle hub comprising:
a hub shaft;
a bicycle hub freewheel assembly mounted to rotate freely about the hub shaft; and
a hub shell arranged closely adjacent to the bicycle hub outer in an axial direction and mounted to rotate freely about the hub shaft,
the hub freewheel assembly including
a cylindrical outer main body including a first outer radially facing portion having a first rotation preventing section configured to radially engage an inner radially facing part of at least one first sprocket such that the outer main body cannot rotate relative to the at least one first sprocket, the cylindrical outer main body also including a second outer radially facing portion, and
a cylindrical adapter mounted in a freely rotatable manner on the second outer radially facing portion of the outer main body, the adapter including a second rotation preventing section configured to radially engage an inner radially facing part of at least one second sprocket such that the adapter cannot rotate relative to the at least one second sprocket.
12. The bicycle hub as recited in claim 11, wherein
the outer main body and the adapter are constructed of different materials.
13. The bicycle hub as recited in claim 12, wherein
the first and second rotation preventing sections have a generally identical diametric cross sectional shape that are arranged closely adjacent to each other in an axial direction, and that are prevented from rotating relative to each other by engaging simultaneously with one of the first and second sprockets.
14. The bicycle hub as recited in claim 11, wherein
the first and second rotation preventing sections have a generally identical diametric cross sectional shape that are arranged closely adjacent to each other in an axial direction, and that are prevented from rotating relative to each other by engaging simultaneously with one of the first and second sprockets.
15. The bicycle hub as recited in claim 14, wherein
the adapter is press fined onto the second outer radially facing portion of the outer main body.
16. A bicycle hub comprising:
a hub shaft;
a bicycle hub freewheel assembly mounted to rotate freely about the hub shaft; and
a hub shell arranged closely adjacent to the bicycle hub freewheel assembly in an axial direction and mounted to rotate freely about the hub shaft,
the hub freewheel assembly including
a cylindrical outer main body including a first outer radially facing portion configured to radially engage an inner radially facing part of at least one first sprocket and a second outer radially facing portion, the first and second outer radially facing portions formed as a single unitary element, and
a cylindrical adapter constructed of a different material than the outer main body, and including an inner engaging section having an inner radially facing surface engaging an outer surface of the second outer radially facing portion of the outer main body such that the adapter cannot rotate relative to the outer main body.
17. The bicycle hub as recited in claim 16, wherein
the adapter includes a first rotation preventing section that engages an inner radially facing part of at least one second sprocket such that the adapter cannot rotate relative to the at least one second sprocket.
18. The bicycle hub as recited in claim 17, wherein
the outer main body includes a second rotation preventing section that engages the inner radially facing part of the at least one first sprocket such that the outer main body cannot rotate relative to the at least one first sprocket; and
the first and second rotation preventing sections have generally an identical diametric cross sectional shape that are arranged closely adjacent to each other in an axial direction.
19. The bicycle hub as recited in claim 17, wherein
the adapter is press fitted onto the second outer radially facing portion of the outer main body.
20. The bicycle hub as recited in claim 16, wherein
the adapter is press fitted onto the second outer radially facing portion of the outer main body.

1. A tool for engaging and rotating a rebar coupler, said tool comprising:
a member having at least one extension engageable with an end plate of a threaded rebar coupler; and
a shaft attached to the member, such that the shaft and the member are rotatable about an axis of the shaft to engage a threaded rebar coupler via said at least one extension and induce rotation of the threaded rebar coupler for threading the rebar coupler onto an end section of rebar.
2. A tool as set forth in claim 1 further comprising a plurality of extensions.
3. A tool as set forth in claim 2 wherein the member further comprises a face perpendicular to the shaft and adapted for flatwise engagement with the end plate of the threaded rebar coupler.
4. A tool as set forth in claim 3 wherein the extensions extend generally perpendicularly from the face for engagement with the end plate of the threaded rebar coupler.
5. A tool as set forth in claim 4 wherein the tool is adaptable to engage differently sized rebar couplers.
6. A tool as set forth in claim 4 wherein the extensions extend outwardly from the face near the lateral edges of the face.
7. A tool as set forth in claim 6 wherein the extensions are adapted for engagement with a plurality of lateral edges of the end plate.
8. A tool as set forth in claim 7 wherein the member is circular and the extensions are chord-shaped continuations of the circular member.
9. A tool as set forth in claim 8 wherein said chord-shaped extensions and the face cooperate to form a seat that closely conforms to the outline of the end plate for engaging the end plate to facilitate conjoint rotation of the tool and coupler.
10. A tool as set forth in claim 5 wherein the extensions each comprise at least two sets of bearing surfaces for engagement of differently sized rebar couplers.

A tool as set forth in claim 10 wherein the member is circular and the extensions are chord-shaped continuations of the circular member, said extensions comprising multiple bearing surfaces for engaging and rotating differently sized rebar couplers without modifying the configuration of the tool.
12. A tool as set forth in claim 4 wherein at least one of the extensions are attachable to and detachable from the face.
13. A tool as set forth in claim 12 wherein the face further comprises at least one hole for receiving said at least one extension.
14. A tool as set forth in claim 13 wherein said at least one hole and said at least one extension are cylindrically shaped.
15. A tool for engaging and rotating a plate, said tool comprising:
a member having at least one extension engageable with a plate; and
a shaft attached to the member, such that the shaft and member may be rotated about an axis of the shaft to engage the plate via said at least one extension and induce rotation of the plate.
16. A tool as set forth in claim 15 further comprising a plurality of extensions.
17. A tool as set forth in claim 16 wherein the member further comprises a face perpendicular to the shaft and adapted for flatwise engagement with the plate for aligning the plate with the member.
18. A tool as set forth in claim 17 wherein the extensions extend generally perpendicularly from the face for engagement with the plate for rotation of the plate.
19. A tool as set forth in claim 18 wherein the tool is adaptable to engage differently sized plates.
20. A method of threading a threaded rebar coupler onto an end section of rebar comprising the steps of:
securing a tool in a rotating machine, such as a rotary drill;
engaging the tool with a threaded rebar coupler;
engaging the threaded rebar coupler with an end section of rebar; and
rotating the drill to induce conjoint rotation of the tool and the coupler so that the threads of the coupler engage the rebar for mounting the coupler on the rebar.

1. A device for inductive multi-injection on multiple conductors, intended for permitting an application of methods for increasing performance of a communications system on a medium made up of N conductors and a reference plane, the device is characterized in that the device is made up of:
E signal inputs, where E is between 1 and N, for each one of a plurality of signals to inject in the N conductors;
A inductive couplers, A being equal to or greater than twice the number of signal inputs E, where the number of inductive couplers A used in the device depends on a number of injection modes and on a number of conductors used by each one of the injection modes, and where a conductor of the N conductors passes through a gap in one of the A inductive couplers on one or more occasions; and
E signal injection loops, each one of which provides a mode selected from a differential mode, a pseudo-differential mode and a common mode, wherein the E signal injection loops pass through the A inductive couplers located around the N conductors on which said E signal injection loops are going to inject current, and a direction in which the E signal injection loops traverse each of the A inductive couplers determines a direction of the current injected in each of the N conductors,
wherein selectively a number of turns of each of the E signal injection loops on each of the A inductive couplers and a number of turns of each of the N conductors on each of the A inductive couplers is such that injections are achieved for the differential mode, the pseudo-differential mode and the common mode,
in order to inject communications signals in up to N combinations of the N conductors and obtain injected signals that are orthogonal to each other.
2. The device for inductive multi-injection on multiple conductors according to claim 1, the device further characterized in that:
the E signal inputs injected in one of the differential mode and the pseudo-differential mode are balanced and are provided to two ends of each of the E signal injection loops;
a signal input that is injected during the common mode is referred to as the reference plane and provided to one of the two ends of one of the E signal injection loops used for injection in the common mode; and
the other of the two ends of the one of the E signal injection loops is connected to the reference plane.
3. The device for inductive multi-injection on multiple conductors according to claim 1, the device further characterized in that the A inductive couplers:
are elements with a high magnetic permeability selected from nanocrystalline materials and ferromagnetic ceramic materials; and
have shapes that allow the A inductive couplers to be traversed by the N conductors and by the E signal injection loops.
4. The device for inductive multi-injection on multiple conductors according to claim 3, the device further characterized in that the number of inductive couplers A is equal to a number of conductors N used by the injections, such that all of the injections in which a current is applied in one of the N conductors includes using one of the A inductive couplers associated with the one of the N conductors.
5. The device for inductive multi-injection on multiple conductors according to claim 4, the device further characterized in that:
each of the N conductors only traverses one of the A inductive couplers; and
the E signal injection loops traverse the one of the A inductive couplers as many times as necessary for maintaining a suitable ratio of currents for achieving orthogonal injections.
6. The device for inductive multi-injection on multiple conductors according to claim 3, the device further characterized in that the number of inductive couplers A is equal to a number of injection modes used, such that each of the injection modes is associated with a single coupler.
7. The device for inductive multi-injection on multiple conductors according to claim 6, the device further characterized in that each of the A inductive couplers is traversed by a one of the E signal injection loops only once.
8. The device for inductive multi-injection on multiple conductors according to claim 1, the device further characterized in that a communications channel made up of multiple of the N conductors is an electrical network.

a scintillator layer configured to absorb radiation emitted from a radiation source and to emit optical photons in response to the absorbed radiation;
a photodetector layer configured to absorb the optical photons emitted by the scintillator layer; and
a reflector configured to reflect the optical photons emitted by the scintillator layer towards the photodetector layer and to absorb select wavelengths of optical photons associated with an afterglow emitted by the scintillator layer.
2. The radiation detector of claim 1, wherein the reflector comprises at least one absorbing material configured to absorb specific wavelengths of the select wavelengths associated with the afterglow.
3. The radiation detector of claim 2, wherein the reflector comprises a plurality of absorbing materials, wherein each absorbing material is configured to absorb specific wavelengths of the select wavelengths associated with the afterglow.
4. The radiation detector of claim 2, wherein the at least one absorbing material comprises a dye or an absorbing pigment.
5. The radiation detector of claim 1, wherein the reflector comprises a single layer.
6. The radiation detector of claim 1, wherein the reflector comprises multiple layers.
7. The radiation detector of claim 1, wherein the reflector comprises a cast reflector.
8. The radiation detector of claim 1, wherein the reflector comprises a reflective metallic film.
9. The radiation detector of claim 1, wherein the reflector comprises a composite reflector.

The radiation detector of claim 9, wherein the composite reflector comprises a reflective metallic film layer and a TiO2-binder layer, and the TiO2-binder layer comprises at least one absorbing material configured to absorb specific wavelengths of the select wavelengths associated with the afterglow.
11. An imaging system comprising:
a radiation source configured to emit radiation;
a radiation detector configured to detect the emitted radiation, the radiation detector comprising:
a scintillator layer configured to absorb the emitted radiation and to emit optical photons in response to the absorbed radiation;
a photodetector layer configured to absorb the optical photons emitted by the scintillator layer; and
a reflector comprising at least one absorbing material configured to absorb select wavelengths of optical photons associated with an afterglow emitted by the scintillator layer.
12. The imaging system of claim 11, wherein the reflector is configured to reflect the optical photons emitted by the scintillator layer towards the photodetector layer.
13. The imaging system of claim 12, wherein the reflector comprises a single layer.
14. The imaging system of claim 12, wherein the reflector comprises multiple layers.
15. The imaging system of claim 12, wherein the reflector comprises a cast reflector.
16. The imaging system of claim 12, wherein the reflector comprises a reflective metallic film.
17. The imaging system of claim 12, wherein the reflector comprises a composite reflector.
18. The imaging system of claim 17, wherein the composite reflector comprises a reflective metallic film layer and a TiO2-binder layer, and the TiO2-binder layer comprises the at least one absorbing material.
19. The imaging system of claim 11, wherein the reflector is disposed about the scintillator layer.
20. The imaging system of claim 11, wherein the at least one absorbing material comprises a dye or absorbing pigment material configured to absorb the select wavelengths associated with the afterglow.
21. A radiation detector comprising:
a reflector configured to be disposed about a scintillator layer and to reflect optical photons emitted by the scintillator layer towards a photodetector layer, wherein the reflector comprises at least one absorbing material configured to absorb select wavelengths of optical photons associated with an afterglow emitted by the scintillator layer.
22. The radiation detector of claim 21, wherein the detector comprises the scintillator layer and the photodetector layer, the scintillator layer is configured to absorb emitted radiation from an X-ray source and to emit the optical photons in response to the absorbed radiation during and after cessation of the emission of the radiation from the X-ray source.
23. The radiation detector of claim 22, wherein the at least one absorbing material comprises a dye or absorbing pigment configured to absorb specific wavelengths of the select wavelengths associated with the afterglow.
24. The radiation detector of claim 22, wherein the radiation detector comprises a plurality of absorbing materials, wherein each absorbing material is configured to absorb specific wavelengths of the select wavelengths associated with the afterglow.
25. The radiation detector of claim 22, wherein the reflector a cast reflector, a reflective metallic film, or a composite reflector.
