1. A light emitting diode (LED) display, comprising:
a fixing frame having at least one rotating shaft; and
a plurality of LED modules correspondingly pivoted on the rotating shaft.
2. The LED display according to claim 1, wherein the fixing frame comprises a plurality of first frame ribs and a plurality of second frame ribs perpendicular to the first frame ribs, and the first frame ribs and the second frame ribs form a plurality of containing spaces.
3. The LED display according to claim 2, wherein the first frame ribs and the rotating shaft are integrally formed.
4. The LED display according to claim 2, wherein the second frame ribs and the rotating shaft are integrally formed.
5. The LED display according to claim 2, wherein the LED modules are correspondingly disposed in the containing spaces.
6. The LED display according to claim 1, wherein the material of the fixing frame is metal.
7. The LED display according to claim 1, wherein each of the LED modules comprises a holding portion disposed on one side edge of the LED module, and the holding portion is held with a mechanical arm for moving the LED module.
8. The LED display according to claim 7, wherein the holding portion is a ring.
9. The LED display according to claim 1, wherein the LED display further comprises a plurality of pivoting elements disposed between the LED module and the corresponding rotating shaft.
10. The LED display according to claim 9, wherein the pivoting elements comprise rivets.
11. The LED display according to claim 1, wherein the LED display further comprises a plurality of locking elements for locking the LED modules to the fixing frame.
12. An LED display, comprising:
a fixing frame comprising a rim, a plurality of first frame ribs, and a plurality of second frame ribs, wherein the first frame ribs are perpendicular to the second frame ribs, and the rim, the first frame ribs, and the second frame ribs join to form a plurality of containing spaces; and
a plurality of LED modules, wherein one of the LED modules is correspondingly disposed in one of the containing spaces and is pivoted on one of the first frame ribs, the second frame ribs, and the rim.
13. The LED display according to claim 12, wherein the rim, the first frame ribs, and the second frame ribs are integrally formed.
14. The LED display according to claim 12, wherein the LED modules are correspondingly disposed in the containing spaces.
15. The LED display according to claim 12, wherein the material of the rim, the first frame ribs, and the second frame ribs is metal.
16. The LED display according to claim 12, wherein each of the LED modules comprises a holding portion disposed on one side edge of the LED module, and the holding portion is held with a mechanical arm for moving the LED module.
17. The LED display according to claim 16, wherein the holding portion is a ring.
18. The LED display according to claim 12, further comprises a plurality of pivoting elements disposed between the LED module and the corresponding first frame rib, the second frame rib, or the rim.
19. The LED display according to claim 18, wherein the pivoting elements comprise rivets.
20. The LED display according to claim 12, wherein the LED display further comprises a plurality of locking elements for locking the LED modules to the fixing frame.

What is claimed is:

1. A surgical instrument comprising:
a first elongated member having a handle end portion, a working tip portion, and a box hinge portion between said handle and tip end portions;
a second elongated member having a handle end portion, a working tip portion, and a box hinge portion between said handle and tip end portions, said second elongated member also having two opposing side surfaces;
said first box hinge portion being defined by a slot having upper and lower sides for receiving said second box hinge portion therein, said slot having a pivot point on each of said upper and lower sides;
said second box hinge portion being generally continuous in width with the handle and tip portions on either side of the box hinge portion; and
said second box hinge portion having a pivot point on each of said side surfaces of the second box hinge portion;
said pivot points of the first box hinge portion mating with said pivot points of the second box hinge portion.
2. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein said first box hinge portion pivot points are protrusions and said second box hinge portion pivot points are depressions.
3. The surgical instrument of claim 2, wherein said first box hinge portion pivot points and said second box hinge portion pivot points are one of a cylindrical, round, conical, triangular, and elliptical shape.
4. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein said first box hinge portion pivot points are depressions and said second box hinge portion pivot points are protrusions.
5. The surgical instrument of claim 4, wherein said first box hinge portion pivot points and said second box hinge portion pivot points are one of a cylindrical, round, conical, triangular, and elliptical shape.
6. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein said first box hinge portion pivot points and said second box hinge portion pivot points are located at approximately the center of the sides of the slot and of the side surfaces respectively.
7. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein the side surfaces of the second elongated member have a nearly flat transitional slope therebetween the box hinge portion and the handle end portion on one end and the box hinge portion and the working tip portion on the other end.
8. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein the transitional slope of the second elongated member between the box hinge portion and the handle end portion on one end and the box hinge portion and the working tip portion on the other end is a long smooth oblique transition.
9. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein the first elongated member is wider than the second elongated member at either end of the box hinge portion.
10. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein the handle end portion includes a circular handle and a locking mechanism interconnected at the far end of the handle end portion.
11. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein the inside surface of the working tip portion includes a gripping structure.
12. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein the length of the handle end portion is generally longer than the length of the working tip portion.
13. An improved surgical instrument of the type having two elongated members, each member having a working tip portion, a handle end portion, and a box hinge portion, wherein the improvement comprises a box hinge defined by a slot located in the box hinge portion of the first elongated member having upper and lower sides for receiving the box hinge portion of the second elongated member therein, the slot having pivot points on each of its upper and lower sides and the second box hinge portion having pivot points on each of its side surfaces, one set of either the first or second box hinge portion pivot points being protrusions and the other being depressions, the pivot points of the first box hinge portion mating with the pivot points of the second box hinge portion such that the box hinge may open and close, and the ends of the second box hinge portion having a width narrower than the width of the ends of the first box hinge portion, such that the side edges of the first elongated member are larger relative to the side edges of the second elongated member at either end of the box hinge.
14. A method of suturing an opening in tissue including the steps of:
providing a surgical instrument comprising:
a first elongated member having a handle end portion, a working tip portion and a box hinge portion between said handle and tip end portions;
a second elongated member having a handle end portion, a working tip portion and a box hinge portion between said handle and tip end portions, said second elongated member also having two opposing side surfaces;
said first box hinge portion being defined by a slot having upper and lower sides for receiving said second box hinge portion therein, said slot having a pivot point on each of said upper and lower sides;
said second box hinge portion being generally continuous in width with the handle and tip portions on either side of the box hinge portion; and
said second box hinge portion having a pivot point on each of said side surfaces of the second box hinge portion;
said pivot points of the first box hinge portion mating with said pivot points of the second box hinge portion.
15. The method of claim 14, further comprising the steps of:
operatively mounting a suture needle with suture thread in said working tip portion; and
suturing the opening in accordance with common medical practice;
whereby the suturing is conducted in a snag-free manner.
16. The method of claim 14, wherein the step of providing a surgical instrument further comprises providing a surgical instrument wherein the first box hinge portion pivot points are one of either protrusions or depressions and the second box hinge portion pivot points are the other.
17. The method of claim 16, wherein the step of providing a surgical instrument further comprises providing a surgical instrument wherein the first and second box hinge portion pivot points are one of a cylindrical, round, conical, triangular, and elliptical shape.
18. The method of claim 14, wherein the step of providing a surgical instrument further comprises providing a surgical instrument wherein the first and second box hinge portion pivot points are located at approximately the center of the sides of the slot and of the side surfaces respectively.

1. A method for improving airway patency in a patient having an oral cavity, a hard palate, a soft palate, a tongue, and an airway, said method comprising:
applying a first negative pressure through a first port at a first location above the patient’s tongue in the patient’s oral cavity; and
applying a second negative pressure through a second port at a second location adjacent the patient’s soft palate in the patient’s oral cavity, the second pressure being different than the first pressure;
wherein the tongue and soft palate are positioned such that the airway is drawn at least partially open.
2. A method as in claim 1 wherein the first pressure is applied to the tongue through the first port.
3. A method as in claim 2 wherein the second pressure is applied to the soft palate through the second port.
4. A method as in claim 1 further comprising constraining the tongue so as to maintain a clear region between the tongue and the hard palate while the first and second pressures are applied.
5. A method as in claim 4 wherein at least one of the first and second ports is disposed in a tongue constraint which constrains the tongue.
6. A method as in claim 1 wherein the first and second ports are each coupled to an oral device positionable in the oral cavity.
7. A method as in claim 1 further comprising creating a seal between the soft palate and the tongue when the negative pressure is applied such that the airway is substantially fluidly isolated from the first and second ports.
8. A method as in claim 1 wherein the first and second ports are movable relative to each other within the oral cavity.
9. A method as in claim 1, wherein the second pressure is less negative than the first pressure.
10. Apparatus for improving airway patency comprising:
an oral device positionable in an oral cavity;
a first port coupled to or integral with the oral device in a first inferior location;
a second port coupled to or integral with the oral device in a second posterior location;
means for applying a first negative pressure through the first port; and
means for applying a second negative pressure through the second port, the second pressure being different than the first pressure;
wherein the oral device is configured such that the first port applies suction to the tongue and the second port applies suction to the soft palate such that the airway is drawn at least partially open.
11. Apparatus as in claim 10 wherein the oral device comprises a tongue constraint positionable in the oral cavity and adapted to engage a superior surface of the tongue and constrain at least a portion of the tongue in a position spaced-apart from a hard palate, wherein the first port is on an inferior surface of the tongue constraint.
12. Apparatus as in claim 11 wherein the second port is disposed in a landing pad movably coupled to the anchor structure.
13. Apparatus as in claim 10 wherein the first and second ports are movable relative to each other within the oral cavity.
14. Apparatus as in claim 10 wherein the means for applying the first pressure comprises a first pump and the means for applying the second pressure comprises a second pump.
15. Apparatus as in claim 10 wherein the means for applying the first pressure comprises a first pump and a first pressure regulator, and the means for applying the second pressure comprises the first pump and a second pressure regulator.
16. Apparatus as in claim 10 wherein the second port is movable relative to the first port.
17. Apparatus as in claim 10 wherein the oral device comprises an anchor structure adapted to anchor the oral device within the oral cavity, first port being immovable relative to the anchor structure.
18. Apparatus as in claim 10 wherein the first and second ports are adapted to maintain the soft palate in sealing engagement with one or both of the oral device and the tongue such that the oral cavity is substantially fluidly isolated from the airway.
19. Apparatus as in claim 10, wherein the second pressure is less negative than the first pressure.

What is claimed is:

1. A tension member removable anchoring apparatus, comprising:
a trichotomized wedge support spring for preventing a regress of a trichotomized wedge in an upper portion;
a cap coupling to the trichotomized wedge support spring;
a cylinder coupled to the cap;
an anchor inserted in a central hole of the cylinder and including the trichotomized wedge binding a single line of a tension member,
a fixer made of a casting and having the tension member inserted therein; and
a coupling means for coupling the anchor and the fixer.

3. The apparatus of clam 1, wherien in the anchor, there is a punch on is a lower side of the cylinder and a stopping spring bolt preventing a return of the regressed trichotomized wedge in the punch.
4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the anchor has a coupling portion coupled to the coupling measn in a lower end of the cylinder.
5. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the coupling means is a nipple, a socket or one-way nipple for coupling the anchor and the fixer.
6. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the fixer has a shape that the tension member is inserted therein and a coupling portion is coupled to the anchor when the coupling means is inserted therein.
7. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein a single line of tension member is inserted in the fixer to cofigure the straight anchoring appratus.
8. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the fixer can be used separately or purally.
9. A method of removing a tension member, comprising:
a repulsive greater than a conservative force of a trichotomized wedge support spring working on an anchor;
the trichotomized wedge support spring compressed by the repulsive force of the tension member;
the trichotomized wedge regressing to a space in a cylinder generated during compressing the spring;
a play of the trichotomized wedge becoming open;
a return of the regressed trichotomized wedge stopped by a detent of a stopping spring bolt supporting a return of the trichotomized wedge;
separating the tension member from the trichotomized wedge whose fall is stopped in a state that a play is maintained; and
removing the tension member by pulling the tension member after separating the anchor.
