1. An optoelectronic semiconductor device comprising a semiconductor chip, a carrier substrate and a foil, wherein
the semiconductor chip has an active layer that generates radiation,
the carrier substrate has a first electrically conductive contact track and a second electrically conductive contact track on a top side,
the semiconductor chip is arranged on the top side of the carrier substrate,
the foil is arranged at least in regions on a radiation exit side of the semiconductor chip, said radiation exit side being remote from the carrier substrate and on the top side of the carrier substrate,
the foil has at least one electrically conductive first conductor track at least in regions on a top side remote from the carrier substrate, and
the foil has at least one first perforation and at least one second perforation arranged such that the semiconductor chip can be electrically contact-connected to the first contact track of the carrier substrate via the first conductor track of the foil,
the carrier substrate has a cutout in which the semiconductor chip is arranged,
the foil extends into the cutout when seen in a top view,
a bottom and sidewalls of the cutout are free of the foil,
an electrical contact-connection between the semiconductor chip and the first conductor track is in the form of contact drops located in a respective perforation of the foil,
the contact drops project beyond a height of the perforations and completely fill the perforation, and
a material of the contact drops differs from a material of the first conductor track.
2. The semiconductor device according to claim 1, wherein the film is fixed by an adhesive layer on the semiconductor chip and the carrier substrate.
3. The semiconductor device according to claim 2, wherein the adhesive layer has a thickness-5 \u03bcm to 10 \u03bcm.
4. The semiconductor device according to claim 1, wherein the perforations have a diameter of at least 100 \u03bcm.
5. The semiconductor device according to claim 1, wherein the perforations perforate the first conductor track at least in places and the perforations completely penetrate through the first conductor track.
6. The semiconductor device according to claim 1, wherein the film is a multilayer film having a plurality of electrically insulating film layers and further electrically conductive conductor tracks arranged therebetween.
7. The semiconductor device according to claim 1, wherein the diameter of the perforations decreases in a vertical direction from the top side of the film in a direction towards the carrier substrate.
8. The semiconductor device according to claim 5, wherein height of the cutout corresponds at least to height of the semiconductor chip.
9. The semiconductor device according to claim 1, wherein the film has a further perforation in the region of a radiation exit area of the semiconductor chip.
10. The semiconductor device according to claim 9, wherein a converter material is located in the further perforation.
11. An optoelectronic semiconductor device comprising a semiconductor chip, a carrier substrate and a film, wherein
the semiconductor chip has an active layer that generates radiation,
the carrier substrate has a first electrically conductive contact track and a second electrically conductive contact track on a top side,
the semiconductor chip is arranged on the top side of the carrier substrate,
the film is arranged at least in regions on a radiation exit side of the semiconductor chip, said radiation exit side being remote from the carrier substrate and on the top side of the carrier substrate,
the film has at least one electrically conductive first conductor track at least in regions on a top side remote from the carrier substrate,
the film has at least one first perforation and at least one second perforation arranged such that the semiconductor chip can be electrically contact-connected to the first contact track of the carrier substrate via the first conductor track of the film,
the perforations perforate the first conductor track in places and the perforations completely penetrate through the first conductor track,
an electrical contact-connection between the semiconductor chip and the first conductor track is in the form of contact drops located in a respective perforation of the film,
a material of the contact drops differs from a material of the first conductor track, and
the contact drops directly cover a part of a surface of the first conductor track remote from the semiconductor chip.
12. The semiconductor device according to claim 6, wherein height of the cutout corresponds at least to height of the semiconductor chip.
13. The semiconductor device according to claim 1, wherein height of the cutout corresponds at least to height of the semiconductor chip.
14. The optoelectronic semiconductor device according to claim 1, wherein a top face of the contact drops is concavely formed, and when viewed in a cross section, the top face is remote from the semiconductor chip.

What is claimed is:

1. A method for distributing advertisements in sports broadcasting, employed in a sports broadcasting system for live broadcasting of a sports competition in which a plurality of teams or players compete in parallel, through collecting image data obtained using a plurality of image capturing devices, creating a plurality of broadcast pages based on the image data collected for disclosure via the Internet, and having a viewer select a desired page to watch from the plurality of broadcast pages, the method comprising the step of:
setting advertisements to be shown in each broadcast page, for every broadcast page.
2. A method for distributing advertisements in sports broadcasting, employed in a sport broadcasting system for live broadcasting of a sports competition in which a plurality of teams or players compete in parallel, through collecting image data obtained using a plurality of image capturing devices, creating a plurality of broadcast pages based on the image data collected for disclosure via the Internet, and having a viewer select a desired page to watch from the plurality of broadcast pages, the method comprising the step of:
recognizing a team or a player to be aired in each broadcast page created, and
setting advertisements to be shown corresponding to the team or the player.
3. An advertisement distribution system, employed in a sports broadcasting system for live broadcasting of a sports competition in which a plurality of teams or players compete in parallel, through collecting image data obtained using a plurality of image capturing devices, creating a plurality of broadcast pages based on the image data collected for disclosure via the Internet, and having a viewer select a desired page to watch from the plurality of broadcast pages, for distributing advertisement in sports broadcasting by inserting into a broadcast page created, comprising:
advertisement insertion processing means for inserting an advertisement into a broadcast page;
a player information database containing registered player information including a profile of a participating team or player;
a sponsor database containing content of a competition to be aired in each broadcast page, and sponsor ID information of a sponsor placing an advertisement, both being registered in correspondence with each other,
page for advertisement determination processing means for causing display of the player information registered in the player information database, letting a sponsor designate a team or a player for which to place an advertisement, and registering the sponsor ID information in the sponsor database so as to correspond to a broadcast page airing the content of competition involving the team or player designated,
wherein
the advertisement insertion processing means specifies a sponsor for each broadcast page created, based on content set in the sponsor database, and inserts an advertisement of the sponsor specified into a corresponding broadcast page.
4. An advertisement distribution system, employed in a sports broadcasting system for live broadcasting of a sports competition in which a plurality of matches involving teams or competitors are carried out in parallel, through collecting image data obtained using a plurality of image capturing devices, creating a plurality of broadcast pages based on the image data collected for disclosure via the Internet, and having a viewer select a desired page to watch from the plurality of broadcast pages created, for distributing advertisement in a sport broadcasting by inserting into a broadcast page created, comprising:
advertisement insertion processing means for inserting an advertisement to a broadcast page airing each match;
a sponsor database containing sponsor ID information so as to correspond to match information on each match; and
page for advertisement determination processing means for registering sponsor ID information to the sponsor database,
wherein
the advertisement insertion processing means specifies a sponsor for each match to be aired in each broadcast page, based on content set in the sponsor database, and inserts an advertisement of the sponsor specified into a corresponding broadcast page.
5. An advertisement distribution system according to claim 4, wherein the page for advertisement determination processing means specifies a match in the sponsor database, which involves a team or a player designated by the sponsor, and registers the sponsor ID information in the sponsor database so as to correspond to the match specified.
6. An advertisement distribution system according to claim 4, further comprising a player information database containing player information including a profile of an involved team or player, wherein the page for advertisement determination processing means displays player information registered in the player information database, lets the sponsor designate a team or a player for which to place an advertisement, specifies a match in the sponsor data base, which involves the team or player designated by the sponsor, and registers in the sponsor database the sponsor ID information so as to correspond to a broadcast page airing content of the competition involving the team or player designated.

1. A process comprising embossing a surface of a thermally insulated plastic wrap or coating on a pipe, wherein the thermally insulated plastic wrap is wrapped on an outer surface of the pipe.
2. The process according to claim 1, further comprising irradiating the thermally insulated plastic wrap or coating prior to the step of embossing the thermally insulated plastic wrap.
3. The process according to claim 1, further comprising affixing concrete to the surface of the embossed pipe.
4. The process according to claim 1, wherein the step of embossing is performed concurrently and subsequently to wrapping or coating the pipe with the thermally insulated plastic wrap or coating.
5. The process according to claim 1, wherein the step of embossing is performed separately from and subsequently to wrapping or coating the pipe with the thermally insulated plastic wrap or coating.
6. The process according to claim 1, wherein the step of embossing is performed by moving the pipe along the length of the pipe; and forming an impression using an embossing tool.
7. The process according to claim 6, wherein the embossing tool revolves about the axis of the pipe.
8. The process according to claim 6, wherein the embossing tool comprises an arm having a first end coupled to a wheel, the wheel having a face about the circumference of the wheel, the face having a template for embossing; and a means for moving the arm about the axis of the pipe coupled to a second end of the pipe.
9. The process according to claim 8, wherein the face has width of from 10 to 300 mm.
10. The process according to claim 6, further comprising means for holding and moving the pipe along the length of the pipe.
11. The process according to claim 1, wherein the embossing forms an impression on the thermally insulated plastic wrap having a amplitude of from 1 to 10 mm.
12. The process according to claim 1, wherein the embossing forms an impression on the thermally insulated plastic wrap having a frequency of from 1 to 100 mm.
13. The process according to claim 1, wherein the pipe has a diameter of from 3 inches to 56 inches.
14. The process according to claim 1, wherein the thermally insulated plastic wrap comprises polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, fluoropolymers, such as polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), polyvinyl fluoride (PVF), polyketone, polylsulfone, polyamide or mixtures thereof.
15. The process according to claim 14, further comprising rubbers and modifiers.
16. A product produced according to the process as defined in claim 1.
17. A concrete coated pipe comprising a pipe having an embossed thermally insulated plastic wrap layer; and a concrete layer affixed to the embossed thermally insulated plastic wrap layer.
18. The concrete coated pipe according to claim 17, wherein the embossed thermally insulated plastic wrap layer has an impression having amplitude of from 1 to 10 mm.
19. The concrete coated pipe according to claim 17, wherein the embossing forms an impression on the thermally insulated plastic wrap having a frequency of from 1 to 100 mm.
20. The concrete coated pipe according to claim 17, wherein the pipe has a diameter of from 3 inches to 56 inches.

An apparatus for providing location-specific alert information associated with an alert condition relevant to a geographical area, the location-specific alert information being broadcast within the geographical area by at least one transmitter of a wireless bi-directional communication network having a plurality of communication channels and a plurality of transmitters which are each positioned to provide communication services to specific geographical areas serviced by the communication network, said apparatus comprising:
a receiver adapted to receive transmissions on a communication channel of the plurality of communication channels of the wireless bi-directional communication network;
a peripheral device operable to indicate an alert condition; and,
a controller communicatively connected to said receiver and said peripheral device, said controller being operable to continuously monitor a communication channel of the wireless bi-directional communication network for the receipt of a transmission of location-specific alert information from a transmitter servicing a specific geographical area and to operate said peripheral device in response to the reception of a transmission of location-specific alert information;
wherein said controller is further operable to monitor said communication channel of said wireless bi-directional network for the receipt of a preferred system provider message and to update a preferred system provider list, based at least in part, on the reception of the preferred system provider message.
2. An apparatus for providing to a user alert information associated with an alert condition, the alert information being broadcast to by at least one transmitter of a wireless bi-directional communication network having a plurality of communication channels and a plurality of transmitters which are each positioned to provide communication services to persons in a particular respective geographical area serviced by the communication network, said apparatus comprising:
a receiver adapted to receive transmissions on a communication channel of the plurality of communication channels of the wireless bi-directional communication network;
a peripheral device operable to inform the user of the existence of a relevant alert condition; and,
a controller communicatively connected to said receiver and said peripheral device, said controller being operable to continuously monitor a communication channel of the wireless bi-directional communication network for the receipt of a transmission of alert information from a transmitter and to operate said peripheral device in response to the reception of a transmission of alert information;
wherein said controller is further operable to maintain a closed user group list used to filter out particular messages.
3. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein said controller is further operable to monitor said communication channel of said wireless bi-directional network for the receipt of a closed user group message and to update said closed user group list based at least in part on the reception of the closed user group message.
4. An apparatus for providing location-specific alert information associated with an alert condition relevant to a geographical area, the location-specific alert information being broadcast within the geographical area by at least one transmitter of a wireless bi-directional communication network having a plurality of communication channels and a plurality of transmitters which are each positioned to provide communication services to specific geographical areas serviced by the communication network, said apparatus comprising:
a receiver adapted to receive transmissions on a communication channel of the plurality of communication channels of the wireless bi-directional communication network;
a peripheral device operable to indicate an alert condition; and,
a controller communicatively connected to said receiver and said peripheral device, said controller being operable to continuously monitor a communication channel of the wireless bi-directional communication network for the receipt of a transmission of location-specific alert information from a transmitter servicing a specific geographical area and to operate said peripheral device in response to the reception of a transmission of location-specific alert information;
wherein said controller is further operable to control an external device in response to the reception of a transmission of location-specific alert information.
5. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the external device is a vibrator.
6. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the external device is a mattress vibrator.
7. An apparatus for providing to a user alert information associated with an alert condition relevant to persons in the selected geographical area of the user, the alert information being broadcast to the selected geographical area by at least one transmitter of a wireless bi-directional communication network having a plurality of communication channels and a plurality of transmitters which are each positioned to provide communication services to persons in a particular respective geographical area serviced by the communication network, said apparatus comprising:
a receiver adapted to receive transmissions on a communication channel of the plurality of communication channels of the wireless bi-directional communication network;
a peripheral device operable to inform the user of the existence of a relevant alert condition; and,
a controller communicatively connected to said receiver and said peripheral device, said controller being operable to continuously monitor a communication channel of the wireless bi-directional communication network for the receipt of a transmission of alert information from a transmitter servicing the selected geographical area of the user and to operate said peripheral device in response to the reception of a transmission of alert information;
wherein said controller is further operable to detect the actuation of a standby button and perform a function based on the actuation of said standby button.
8. The apparatus of claim 7, wherein the controller is operable to turn on a backlight in response to the actuation of said standby button.
9. The apparatus of claim 7, wherein the controller is operable to reset the scrolling of a message on a display to the beginning of the message in response to the actuation of the standby button.
10. A method of operating a device having a receiver and a peripheral device to receive alert information pertaining to an alert condition which is broadcast by a wireless bi-directional communication network having a plurality of communication channels and to inform a user of the existence of the alert condition, the method comprising the steps of:
selecting a communication channel from the plurality of communication channels of the wireless bi-directional communication network;
monitoring the selected communication channel with the receiver for a transmission of a control message;
reconfiguring the device in accordance with the control message, the reconfiguration influencing subsequent operation of the device;
monitoring the selected communication channel with the receiver for a transmission including alert information pertaining to the alert condition; and,
operating the peripheral device to notify the user of the alert condition upon detection of a transmission including alert information.
11. The method of claim 10, wherein the control message is a provisioning level setting message, and the step of reconfiguring the device comprises setting the device to operate in accordance with the provisioning level identified in the provisioning level setting message.
12. The method of claim 10, wherein the control message is a standby message setting message and the step of reconfiguring the device comprises storing the standby message in the device for display in response to the reception of particular alert information.
13. The method of claim 10, wherein the control message is an activate standby message and the step of reconfiguring the device comprises activating the standby message identified in the activate standby message message.
14. The method of claim 10, wherein the control message is a serial number specific message and only the device containing the serial number identified in the serial number specific message will operate on the received message.
15. The method of claim 10, wherein the control message is a preferred system provider update message and the step of reconfiguring the device comprises updating a preferred system provider list in accordance with the preferred system provider update message.
16. The method of claim 10, wherein the control message is a controlled user group update message and the step of reconfiguring the device comprises updating a controlled user group list in accordance with the preferred system provider update message.
17. A receiver module for receiving a location-specific alert information being broadcast within a geographical area by at least one transmitter of a wireless bi-directional communication network having a plurality of communication channels, the receiver module comprising:
a processor adapted to process the location-specific alert information, said processor adapted to be coupled to a receiver adapted to receive transmissions on a communication channel of the plurality of communication channels of the wireless bi-directional communication network; and
an inputoutput (IO) port coupled to said processor,
wherein the receiver is adapted to receive the location-specific alert information and said processor is adapted to process the location-specific alert information when the receiver module is within a certain geographic area.
18. The receiver module according to claim 17, further comprising at least one user alerting device coupled to said IO port.
19. The receiver module according to claim 18, wherein said user alerting device comprises at least one of a vibrating device, a sound emitting device, a light emitting device, a power supply, a reset device or an antenna connector.
20. The receiver module according to claim 17, wherein the receiver module is adapted to be incorporated into at least one of a standalone device, an integrated device or an attached device.
