What is claimed is:

1. A printing apparatus comprising:
a storage unit configured to store print sheets including a tab paper sheet;
a print unit configured to print predetermined data on the print sheet;
a check unit configured to check if the print process of said print unit is that on the tab paper sheet;
a notification unit configured to output a message to a user when said check unit determines the print process on the tab paper sheet, and said print unit prints on a first face of the tab paper sheet;
a detection unit configured to detect re-storage of the tab paper sheet, the first face of which has been printed, in said storage unit; and
an instruction reception unit configured to receive a print instruction of a second face of the tab paper sheet from the user,
wherein said print unit prints on the second face of the tab paper sheet in response to detection of re-storage of the tab paper sheet and the print instruction of the second face of the tab paper sheet.
2. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein when said check unit determines that the print process of said print unit is not that on the tab paper sheet, said print unit executes a 2-sided print process on the print sheet other than the tab paper sheet.
3. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein data to be printed on the second face of the tab paper sheet is generated using data to be printed on the first face of the tab paper sheet.
4. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the predetermined data contains at least body text data and tab data, and when the tab paper sheet undergoes a print process while being inserted in the print sheets, on which the body text data is printed in a 2-sided print mode,
said print unit prints at least body text data immediately before an insertion position of the tab paper sheet in a 1-sided print mode when the number of pages of body text data before the insertion position of the tab paper sheet is odd.
5. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the predetermined data contains at least body text data and tab data, and when the tab paper sheet undergoes a print process while being inserted in the print sheets, on which the body text data is printed in a 2-sided print mode,
said print unit prints at least a reverse face of body text data immediately before an insertion position of the tab paper sheet as a blank page when the number of pages of body text data before the insertion position of the tab paper sheet is odd.
6. The apparatus according to claim 5, further comprising:
a billing unit configured to charge a given amount for each page printed by said print unit, and
wherein when said print unit prints the reverse face of body text data immediately before the insertion position of the tab paper sheet as the blank page, billing by said billing unit is suppressed.
7. An information processing apparatus, which is connected to a printing apparatus, and controls the printing apparatus to print at least body text and tab data on print sheets including a tab print sheet, comprising:
a setup reception unit configured to receive a print setup;
a check unit configured to check in accordance with the received print setup if the print process of the printing apparatus is that on the tab paper sheet;
a first command issuance unit configured to issue a first control command which instructs to execute a print process of a first face of the tab paper sheet when said check unit determines the print process on the tab paper sheet;
a second command issuance unit configured to issue a command that pauses a print process in the printing apparatus after the first control command is issued; and
a third command issuance unit configured to issue a control command which instructs to execute a print process of a second face of the tab paper sheet in accordance with the received setup.
8. The apparatus according to claim 7, further comprising a fourth command issuance unit configured to issue a control command that instructs to execute a print process of the body text data in accordance with the received setup when said check unit determines that the print process of the printing unit is not that on the tab paper sheet.
9. The apparatus according to claim 8, wherein said setup reception unit comprises:
a paper source setup unit configured to receive designation of a paper source of the tab paper sheet;
a print style setup unit configured to receive designation of a print style on the tab paper sheet; and
an insertion position setup unit configured to receive an insertion position of the tab paper sheets among body text pages.
10. The apparatus according to claim 9, wherein when the tab paper sheet undergoes a print process while being inserted in the print sheets, on which the body text data is printed in a 2-sided print mode, and the number of body text pages before the tab paper sheet is odd, said fourth command issuance unit issues a blank page non-billing command that instructs to execute a non-billing blank page print process on a reverse face of the print sheet on which the body text data immediately before the tab paper sheet is printed.
11. The apparatus according to claim 9, wherein when the tab paper sheet undergoes a print process while being inserted in the print sheets, on which the body text data is printed in a 2-sided print mode, and the number of body text pages before the tab paper sheet is odd,
said fourth command issuance unit issues a 2-sided print command that instructs to print the body text data in a 2-sided print mode before execution of the print process of the body text data, and issues a 1-sided print command that instructs to print the body text data in a 1-sided print mode before execution of the print process of the body text data immediately before the tab paper sheet.
12. A method of controlling a printing apparatus which comprises a storage unit configured to store print sheets including a tab paper sheet, and a print unit configured to print predetermined data on the print sheet, comprising:
a check step of checking if the print process of the print unit is that on the tab paper sheet;
a notification step of outputting, when the print process on the tab paper sheet is determined in the check step, and the print unit prints on a first face of the tab paper sheet, a message to a user;
a detection step of detecting re-storage of the tab paper sheet, the first face of which has been printed, in the storage unit; and
an instruction reception step of receiving a print instruction of a second face of the tab paper sheet from the user,
wherein the print unit prints on the second face of the tab paper sheet in response to detection of re-storage of the tab paper sheet and the print instruction of the second face of the tab paper sheet.
13. A method of controlling an information processing apparatus, which is connected to a printing apparatus, and controls the printing apparatus to print at least body text and tab data on print sheets including a tab print sheet, comprising:
a setup reception step of receiving a print setup;
a check step of checking in accordance with the received print setup if the print process of the printing apparatus is that on the tab paper sheet;
a first command issuance step of issuing, when the print process on the tab paper sheet is determined in the check step, a first control command which instructs to execute a print process of a first face of the tab paper sheet;
a second command issuance step of issuing a command that pauses a print process in the printing apparatus after the first control command is issued; and
a third command issuance step of issuing a control command which instructs to execute a print process of a second face of the tab paper sheet in accordance with the received setup.
14. The method according to claim 13, further comprising a fourth command issuance step of issuing, when it is determined in the check step that the print process of the printing unit is not that on the tab paper sheet, a control command that instructs to execute a print process of the body text data in accordance with the received setup.
15. The method according to claim 14, wherein the setup reception step comprises:
a paper source setup step of receiving designation of a paper source of the tab paper sheet;
a print style setup step of receiving designation of a print style on the tab paper sheet; and
an insertion position setup step of receiving an insertion position of the tab paper sheets among body text pages.
16. The method according to claim 15, wherein when the tab paper sheet undergoes a print process while being inserted in the print sheets, on which the body text data is printed in a 2-sided print mode, and the number of body text pages before the tab paper sheet is odd,
the fourth command issuance step includes a step of issuing a blank page non-billing command that instructs to execute a non-billing blank page print process on a reverse face of the print sheet on which the body text data immediately before the tab paper sheet is printed.
17. The method according to claim 15, wherein when the tab paper sheet undergoes a print process while being inserted in the print sheets, on which the body text data is printed in a 2-sided print mode, and the number of body text pages before the tab paper sheet is odd,
the fourth command issuance step includes a step of issuing a 2-sided print command that instructs to print the body text data in a 2-sided print mode before execution of the print process of the body text data, and issues a 1-sided print command that instructs to print the body text data in a 1-sided print mode before execution of the print process of the body text data immediately before the tab paper sheet.
18. A program for making a computer execute a method of claim 12.
19. A program. for making a computer execute a method of claim 13.
20. A computer readable storage medium storing a program of claim 18.
21. A computer readable storage medium storing a program of claim 19.

1. In a mobile communications environment, a method comprising:
transmitting data from a short-range radio device in a mobile vehicle to an external receiver that is not physically connected to the mobile vehicle, including by boosting transmission power of the device to a maximum transmission power or substantially close to the maximum transmission power as allowed by governmental regulations at least while transmitting to the external receiver, wherein the boosting includes using at least one of additional circuitry associated with the device or an amplifier associated with the mobile vehicle, and wherein transmitting the data comprises:
advertising to establish a link with the external receiver;
broadcasting current data of the mobile vehicle associated with the short-range radio and any stored data received from other mobile vehicles; and
transitioning to a receive data mode.
2. The method of claim 1 wherein transmitting the data comprises placing the data in an unused pairing payload associated with the short-range radio device in the mobile vehicle.
3. The method of claim 1 further comprising waiting for a period before advertising, including computing a wait time based at least in part on an identifier corresponding to the device.
4. The method of claim 1 wherein the external receiver comprises another mobile vehicle, and further comprising, receiving one or more communications at the device from the other mobile vehicle.
5. The method of claim 4 wherein transmitting the data and receiving the one or more communications comprises exchanging traffic-related data.
6. The method of claim 1 wherein the external receiver comprises a roadside hub, and further comprising, receiving one or more communications at the device from the roadside hub.
7. The method of claim 1 wherein the device is a Bluetooth\xae device, and further comprising, using Bluetooth\xae communication in conjunction with wireless local area network (WLAN) technology to reduce WLAN connection setup time or reduce WLAN contention, or both to reduce WLAN connection setup time and reduce WLAN contention.
8. The method of claim 1 wherein the device is a Bluetooth\xae device, and wherein transmitting the data comprises adding information to a set of data corresponding to a Bluetooth\xae discovery mode.
9. The method of claim 1 further comprising, receiving an advertisement at the device, computing a wait time based at least in part on an identifier corresponding to the device, and if no other acknowledgement was accepted within the wait time, transmitting an acknowledgement in response to the advertisement.
10. In a mobile communications environment, a system comprising:
a mobile Bluetooth\xae-enabled device in a vehicle, the device configured to transmit data to at least one of another vehicle or a roadside hub at an increased output power level relative to recommended Bluetooth\xae power levels to allow long range radio communication links between the vehicle and the at least one of the other vehicle or the roadside hub, the increased output power level being a maximum transmission power or substantially close to the maximum transmission power as allowed by governmental regulations, wherein the device is configured to transmit the data at the increased output power level using at least one of additional circuitry associated with the device or an amplifier associated with the vehicle, the data including information that is useable in determining traffic conditions.
11. The system of claim 10 wherein the Bluetooth\xae-enabled device comprises a navigation device, and wherein the information that is useable in determining traffic conditions includes location, speed, and bearing data of the vehicle.
12. The system of claim 10 wherein the information that is useable in determining traffic conditions includes location, speed, and bearing data of another vehicle.
13. The system of claim 10 wherein the Bluetooth\xae-enabled device receives other information that is useable in determining traffic conditions, the Bluetooth\xae-enabled device further configured to determine a confidence level for the traffic conditions based on at least one part of the other information and using the other information and each confidence level to estimate current traffic conditions.
14. The system of claim 13 wherein the other information is received from at least one other vehicle or from at least one roadside hub, or is received from both at least one other vehicle and from at least one roadside hub.
15. The system of claim 10 wherein the Bluetooth\xae-enabled device receives information originating from an Internet source from at least one other vehicle or from at least one roadside hub, or from both at least one other vehicle and from at least one roadside hub.
16. In a mobile communications environment, a method executed at least in part on at least one processor, the method comprising:
transmitting first data from a Bluetooth\xae device in a mobile vehicle to an external receiver, the first data comprising Bluetooth\xae discovery data, and including information that is useable in determining traffic conditions within the Bluetooth\xae discovery data, the first data transmitted at a boosted power level using at least one of additional circuitry associated with the device or an amplifier associated with the mobile vehicle, wherein transmitting the first data comprises:
advertising to establish a link with the external receiver;
broadcasting current data of the mobile vehicle associated with the Bluetooth\xae device and any stored data received from other mobile vehicles;
transitioning to a receive data mode; and
receiving second data from at least one other Bluetooth\xae device that is not physically connected to the mobile vehicle, and using the first and second data to estimate upcoming traffic conditions.
17. The method of claim 16 wherein receiving the second data comprises receiving communications from at least one other vehicle or from at least one roadside hub, or receiving communications from both at least one other vehicle and from at least one roadside hub.
18. The method of claim 16 further comprising, receiving data originating from an Internet source via at least one other Bluetooth\xae device that is not physically connected to the mobile vehicle.
19. The method of claim 18, further comprising transmitting data to the Internet source via the at least one other Bluetooth\xae device that is not physically connected to the mobile vehicle.
20. The method of claim 16, wherein transmitting the data further comprises boosting the power of the transmission to a level substantially equivalent to a maximum power level allowed for Bluetooth\xae devices.
