1. A fitted top sheet adapted to be fit over a mattress and having a lip at the foot of the sheet, said top sheet having an end portion at the foot of the sheet, a pair of opposed side portions at the foot of the sheet and a thin bottom portion adapted to be slipped under an end of said mattress, said lip having elastic material thereat running at least partially from one side thereof to the other, with no other elastic material provided or carried by said top sheet, said top sheet having portions which are adapted to be folded down over the mattress such that upon insertion of an individual’s feet between the mattress and said top sheet, said top sheet has enough give to accommodate the individual’s feet without undue pressure on the individual’s feet, whereby a bed having been made up with said fitted top sheet does not have a wrinkled appearance while at the same time provides sufficient give to accommodate an individual’s feet beneath said top sheet.
2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said sheet is made from non-flexible material.
3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said lip has opposed elasticized corners attached, thereby to establish the conformal top sheet fit by grasping the mattress corners, the ends of said lip attached to the underneath side of said top sheet.
4. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein said lip ends are attached to said top sheet by unelasticized material, and wherein said elasticized material runs inwardly from said lip ends towards the center of said lip.
5. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein said inwardly running elasticized material runs completely from one end of said lip to the other.
6. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein the points at which the ends of said lip are attached to the underside of said top sheet are not directly above the ends of said lip but are rather towards the head of said top sheet.
7. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the position of the attachment of the ends of said lip to the underside of said top sheet is not so far towards the head of said top sheet so as to preclude motion of said overlying folded down portions of said top sheet responsive to the pushing upwardly of said top sheet by an individual’s feet.
8. The apparatus of claim 3, and further including a portion of the material of said top sheet stitched to a portion of said lip to connect said lip to said top sheet, whereby the material to one side of said lip is stitched to said top sheet.
9. A method of providing a lip for a fitted top sheet to be tucked under a mattress, comprising the step of:
providing only the lip with an elastic material.
10. A method of avoiding wrinkling of a fitted top sheet when fitted to a mattress in which the top sheet is provided with a lip adapted to be tucked under a mattress, comprising the steps of:
providing the foot of the top sheet with a lip;
providing only the lip with an elastic material; and,
joining corners of the lip to positions on the underside of the top sheet with a non-elastic material such that the sheet has a tight wrinkle-free fit to the mattress and such that there is enough give at the foot of the top sheet to accommodate an individual’s feet.
11. The method of claim 10, wherein the top sheet has side portions that fall downwardly when the top sheet is fit to the mattress.
12. The method of claim 11, wherein at least a major portion of each side portion is free to move upwardly when the fitted top sheet is in place on a mattress, thus to establish top sheet give at the foot of the top sheet when an individual’s foot is inserted between the top sheet and the mattress.

The claims below are in addition to those above.
All refrences to claim(s) which appear below refer to the numbering after this setence.

What is claimed is:

1. A sheet-metal cage for rolling-contact bearings, comprising
at least one cage segment which is in a circular shape, each cage segment having opposite circumferential ends in the circular shape, and two of the cage segment ends meet at a joint;
the cage segment ends having closure parts shaped to interlock in a positive manner in the circumferential direction at the joint;
a plastic locking element for fixing the closure parts at the joint in a non-detachable manner, wherein the locking element is molded on both radially inside and outside the closure parts, the locking element being connected in an integral manner, to form one part, via an opening through the cage in the region of the closure parts.
2. The sheet-metal cage as claimed in claim 1, further comprising holding projections for rolling bodies that are to be guided by the cage, the projections being integrally formed on the locking elements.
3. The sheet-metal cage as claimed in claim 2, further comprising the cage having rolling body receiving openings circumferentially around the cage, and webs of the cage between the rolling body receiving openings;
further elements having holding projections, the further elements being molded in place on the webs of the cage, and the further elements being connected to the webs at the rolling body receiving openings.
4. The sheet-metal cage as claimed in claim 3, wherein there is a plurality of the cage segments arrayed together to define the circular shape and the cage segment end of one of the segments is fixed to the cage segment end of the adjacent segment.
5. The sheet-metal cage as claimed in claim 1, wherein there is a plurality of the cage segments arrayed together to define the circular shape and the cage segment end of one of the segments is fixed to the cage segment end of the adjacent segment.
6. The sheet-metal cage as claimed in claim 1, wherein there is a single cage segment and the opposite ends of the cage segment are fixed to each other.
