1. A toy having a rotating feature comprising:
a motor mount comprising:
a post;
a housing having a base and at least one first arm extending from the base, the at least one first arm having a flange on an end opposite the base, the flange being rotationally coupled to the post;
a biasing member coupled to the housing and arranged to rotate the housing in a first direction; and
a motor coupled to the housing.
2. The toy of claim 1 wherein the housing further includes a cylindrical tube extending from the flange, the post being arranged within the cylindrical tube.
3. The toy of claim 2 wherein the biasing member is a torsion spring disposed about the cylindrical tube.
4. The toy of claim 3 further comprising a standoff disposed on the post, wherein an end of the cylindrical tube opposite the flange is in contact with the standoff.
5. The toy of claim 4 further comprising a vibration damper between the post and an inner wall of the cylindrical tube.
6. The toy of claim 5 wherein the housing includes at least one second arm extending from the base opposite the at least one first arm, the base, the at least one first arm and the at least one second arm defining an area sized to receive the toy motor.
7. The toy of claim 1 wherein the housing is rotatable between a first position wherein the motor engages the rotating feature and a second position wherein the toy motor is disengaged from the rotating feature.
8. The toy of claim 7 wherein the biasing member arranged to bias the housing into the first position.
9. The toy of claim 1 further comprising a pin arranged adjacent the post, wherein the torsion spring has a first end coupled to the pin and a second end coupled to the first arm.
10. The toy of claim 5 further comprising:
a first gear coupled to the toy motor;
a second gear coupled to the rotating feature; and
wherein the first gear is configured to move from an engaged position to a disengaged position when the second gear is immobilized.
11. The toy of claim 1 wherein the housing is u-shaped.
12. The toy of claim 1 wherein the housing rotates about the centerline of the post.
13. A method of disengaging a toy motor from a rotating feature comprising:
biasing a housing holding the toy motor into a first position;
engaging a pinion on the toy motor with the rotating feature;
rotating the housing into a second position when the rotating feature is immobilized; and
disengaging the pinion from the rotating feature when the housing is in the second position.
14. The method of claim 13 wherein the housing is rotated on a post.
15. The method of claim 14 further comprising biasing the housing with a torsion spring disposed on the post.
16. The method of claim 15 further comprising damping vibrations from the housing to the post with a member disposed between the housing and the post.
17. The method of claim 16 wherein the housing is rotated on the member.

1. A method of activating an IPABX (Internet Protocol Automatic Branch Exchange) feature from an IPABX feature set using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and a feature event package, the method comprising the steps of:
receiving an input indicative of an IPABX feature request;
creating a SIP event subscription request message in response to the input, wherein the SIP event subscription message includes a feature identification parameter;
sending the SIP event subscription request message;
receiving, in response to the SIP event subscription request message, a SIP event notification message, wherein the SIP event notification message includes a status of the IPABX feature request; and
sending, in response to the SIP event notification message, a SIP successful response message indicating that the SIP event notification message has been received.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the feature event package comprises at least one item from a group consisting of feature name, feature identification parameter, and feature supplemental parameter.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the SIP event subscription request message comprises a SIP SUBSCRIBE message.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein the SIP event notification message comprises a SIP NOTIFY message.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein the input indicative of an IPABX feature request comprises at least one item from a group consisting of a keypad input, and a voice input.
6. The method of claim 5, wherein both the keypad input, and the voice input comprise a feature identification parameter.
7. The method of claim 5, wherein both the keypad input, and the voice input comprise a feature supplemental parameter.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein the IPABX feature set includes at least one item from a group consisting of voicemail configuration, wake up alert, music on hold, video on hold, call park, call pickup, call toggle, caller identification restriction, conference call, direct mail transfer, do not disturb, flash, call forwarding, hold, lock your telephone, voicemail retrieval message, redial, show lists, speed dial, transfer, and paging.
9. A method of activating an IPABX (Internet Protocol Automatic Branch Exchange) feature from an IPABX feature set using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and a feature event package, the method comprising the steps of:
receiving a SIP event subscription request message, wherein the SIP event subscription message includes a feature identification parameter;
sending, in response to the SIP event subscription request message, a SIP successful response message indicating that the SIP event subscription request message has been received; and
creating a SIP event notification message in response to the SIP event subscription request message, wherein the SIP event notification message includes a status of the IPABX feature request;
activating the IPABX feature based on information provided in the SIP event subscription request message; and
sending the SIP event notification message.
10. The method of claim 9, wherein the feature event package comprises at least one item from a group consisting of feature names, feature identification parameters, and feature supplemental parameters.
11. The method of claim 9, wherein the SIP event notification message includes a status of the IPABX feature request further comprising:
an active status if the IPABX feature is activated;
an inactive status if the IPABX feature is not activated.
12. The method of claim 9, wherein the status will be presented to a user.
13. A communication system comprising, in combination:
a client device with (i) a feature input entity for receiving an input indicative of an IPABX (Internet Protocol Automatic Branch Exchange) feature request to activate a feature, (ii) client logic for providing data corresponding to the input and for processing a status of the IPABX feature request, and (iii) a SIP client protocol entity for sending a SIP message, and for receiving a SIP response message; and
an IPABX server with (i) a SIP server protocol entity for sending the SIP response message, and for receiving the SIP message, (ii) server logic to interpret data from the SIP message, and (iii) implementation logic for activating a feature based on the interpretation.
14. The method claim 13, wherein the SIP message is selected from a group consisting of a SIP event subscription request message, a SIP feature request message, a SIP successful response message, and a SIP acknowledgement message.
15. The method of claim 13, wherein the SIP response message is selected from a group consisting of a SIP event notification message, a SIP success message, a SIP failure message, a SIP trying response message, a SIP successful response message, and a SIP session termination message.
16. The method of claim 13, wherein the feature request message is a SIP event subscription request message and the SIP completion response message is a SIP event notification message.
17. The method of claim 13, further comprising:
establishing a communication session between the client device and the IPABX server so that a user of the client device can provide the input indicative of the IPABX feature request.
18. The method of claim 13, wherein the client device is at least one item from a group consisting of a Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) enabled telephone, a telephone configured with SIP, andor a computer program that uses SIP.
19. The method of claim 13, wherein the feature input entity is at least one item from a group consisting of a feature button, keypad dialing buttons, and a voice activated system.
20. A method of activating an IPABX (Internet Protocol Automatic Branch Exchange) feature from an IPABX feature set using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), the method comprising the steps of:
receiving an input indicative of an IPABX feature request;
creating a SIP feature request message in response to the input, wherein the SIP feature request message includes a feature identification parameter;
sending the SIP feature request message;
if the IPABX feature is activated, receiving a SIP success message in response to the feature request message;
if the IPABX feature is not activated, receiving a SIP failure message in response to the feature request message.
21. The method of claim 20, wherein the input indicative of an IPABX feature request comprises at least one item from a group consisting of a keypad input, and a voice input.
22. The method of claim 21, wherein both the keypad input, and the voice input comprise a feature identification parameter.
23. The method of claim 21, wherein both the keypad input, and the voice input comprise a feature supplemental parameter.
24. A method of activating an IPABX (Internet Protocol Automatic Branch Exchange) feature from an IPABX feature set using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), the method comprising the steps of:
receiving a SIP feature request message, wherein the feature request message includes a feature identification parameter;
activating the IPABX feature based on information provided in the SIP feature request message; and
creating and sending a SIP success message if the IPABX feature is activated; and
creating and sending a SIP failure message if the IPABX feature is not activated.
25. The method of claim 24, wherein information from the SIP success message and from the SIP failure message is presented to the user.
26. An enhanced SIP method to activate an IPABX (Internet Protocol Automatic Branch Exchange) feature from an IPABX feature set comprising:
a SIP FEATURE method including a SIP header field that comprises a feature identification parameter, wherein the SIP header field is defined by a SIP feature request string, and further wherein the SIP FEATURE method is used to create a SIP feature request message.
27. The method of claim 26, wherein the SIP feature request string includes a feature supplemental parameter.
28. The method of claim 26, wherein the SIP feature request message comprises:
a data field containing a method name indicating the SIP feature request message;
a header field containing a hostname of a originator of the SIP feature request message;
a header field containing a SIP request Universal Resource Indicator (URI) towards which the SIP feature request message is directed; and
a header field containing a globally unique identifier for the SIP feature request message.
29. An enhanced Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) method to activate an IPABX (Internet Protocol Automatic Branch Exchange) feature from an IPABX feature set comprising:
a feature enhanced SIP INVITE method that includes a SIP Uniform Resource Identifier (URI), wherein the SIP URI includes a feature identification parameter and further wherein the feature enhanced SIP INVITE method is used to create a SIP feature request message.
30. The method of claim 29, wherein the SIP URI includes a feature supplemental parameter.
