What is claimed is:
1. A multi-piece electrical block device for attaching to a surface of a structure comprising:
a mount having a base adapted to abut the surface and a housing extending from said base, said housing having an opening; and
an electrical box having walls with an upper portion, said opening sized to receive and adapted to securely retain said upper portion.
2. The device as set forth in claim 1 wherein said base has a flange extending therefrom, said flange having a plurality of holes adapted to accommodate fasteners to attach said mount to the surface.
3. The device as set forth in claim 1 further comprising, a decorative ring having an inner perimeter sized to receive said housing.
4. The device as set forth in claim 3 wherein said housing has an exterior surface with opposing portions, one of said opposing portions and said inner perimeter of said ring having opposing grooves and the other of said opposing portions and said inner perimeter having opposing protrusions that are aligned with said opposing grooves wherein said protrusions are adapted to interlock with said grooves when said decorative ring receives said housing.
5. The device as set forth in claim 4 wherein said opposing portions have said opposing grooves and said inner perimeter has said opposing protrusions.
6. The device as set forth in claim 1 wherein said inner perimeter has a rectangular shape and said housing has a complementary rectangular shape adapted to be received by said inner perimeter.
7. The device as set forth in claim 1 wherein said mount has a first interlocking member and said electrical box has a second interlocking member adapted to coact with said first interlocking member and secure said electrical box to said mount when said mount receives said electrical box.
8. The device as set forth in claim 7 wherein said housing has a top portion with said opening in said top portion, said top portion having a ledge about said opening, and said upper portion has a lip adapted to abut said ledge when said opening receives said electrical box.
9. The device as set forth in claim 8 wherein said upper portion has at least one tab proximate to said lip, said ledge forming said first interlocking member and said lip and said at least one tab forming said second interlocking member, said at least one tab being adapted to secure said electrical box to said mount by receiving said ledge between said lip and said at least one tab.
10. The device as set forth in claim 1 wherein said mount is constructed from a first plastic material and said electrical box is constructed from a second plastic material that is different from said first plastic material.
11. An electrical block trim assembly for use on an exterior surface of a structure comprising:
a mount having a base adapted to be secured to the exterior surface and a housing extending from said base, said housing having top portion with an opening;
exterior covering surrounding a portion of said mount;
a decorative ring secured to said mount over said siding, said decorative ring having an inner perimeter adjacent to said housing; and
an electrical box having walls with an upper portion that is securely received and retained within said opening, said electrical box interposed between the exterior surface and said top portion.
12. The assembly as set forth in claim 11 wherein said base has a flange extending therefrom, said flange having a plurality of holes adapted to accommodate fasteners to attach said mount to the exterior surface.
13. The assembly as set forth in claim 11 wherein said housing has an outer surface with opposing portions, one of said opposing portions and said inner perimeter of said ring having grooves and the other of said opposing portions and said inner perimeter of said ring having opposing protrusions that are aligned with said grooves wherein said protrusions interlocks with said grooves.
14. The assembly as set forth in claim 13 wherein said opposing portions have said opposing groove and said inner perimeter has said opposing protrusions.
15. The assembly as set forth in claim 11 wherein sad inner perimeter has a rectangular shape and said housing has a complementary rectangular shape.
16. The assembly as set forth in claim 11 wherein said mount has a first interlocking member and said electrical box has a second interlocking member that coacts with said first interlocking member and secures said electrical box to said mount.
17. The assembly as set forth in claim 16 wherein said top portion of the mount has a ledge about said opening, and said upper portion of said electrical box has a lip that abuts said ledge.
18. The assembly as set forth in claim 17 wherein said upper portion has at least one tab proximate to said lip, said ledge forming said first interlocking member and said lip and said at least one tab forming said second interlocking member, said at least one tab secures said electrical box to said mount by receiving said ledge between said lip and said at least one tab.
19. The assembly as set forth in claim 11 wherein said mount is constructed from a first plastic material and said electrical box is constructed from a second plastic material that is different from said first plastic material.
20. The assembly as set forth in claim 11 wherein said exterior covering is siding.

1. Chromatography device comprising:
a single unit column intended to receive a chromatographic bed,
a removable reservoir for bed suspension,
a base comprising a cylinder adapted to a piston, said piston sliding in the removable reservoir and the column to pack the suspension of solid particles into a chromatographic bed,
the column, reservoir and base being connected in series in this order, the piston acting to compress the suspension of solid particles into a chromatographic bed in the column.
2. Device according to claim 1, wherein the column, reservoir and base are connected from top to bottom.
3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the piston is equipped with a piston seal entering with friction into the column and reservoir.
4. Device according to any of claims 1 to 3, wherein the piston and the cylinder are connected by a coupling cylinder reversibly bearing upon the piston.
5. Device according to any of claims 1 to 4, wherein the column, reservoir and base are secured at flanges by means of clamping rings.
6. Device according to any of claims 1 to 5, wherein the base comprises two chambers receiving a pressurized hydraulic fluid, arranged at each side of the lower part of the cylinder.
7. Device according to any of claims 1 to 6, wherein the column also comprises an assembly of a threaded rod and tapped flange receiving the threaded rod, said threaded rod adapting to the piston, this assembly substituting for the reservoir when the column is used as chromatography column.
8. Device according to claim 7, wherein, in the assembly, the threaded rod is provided with a retaining nut to adjust the compressive force of the bed.
9. Device according to claim 7 or 8, wherein the threads of the rod and tapping have an anti-seizure coating.
10. Device according to any of claims 7 to 9, wherein an anti-rotation gasket is placed between the piston and the rod.
11. Device according to any of claims 7 to 9, wherein there is a spring between said threaded rod and the piston.
12. Chromatography column comprising an assembly of a threaded rod and tapped flange receiving said threaded rod, said threaded rod adapting to the piston, this assembly being attached to the column via a clamping ring.
13. Chromatography column according to claim 12, wherein the threads of the rod and tapping have an anti-seizure coating.
14. Chromatography column according to claim 12 or 13, wherein there is a spring between said threaded rod and the piston.
15. Chromatography column comprising an assembly of a threaded rod and tapped flange receiving the threaded rod, said threaded rod adapting to the piston, this assembly being secured to the column, and wherein the threads of the rod and tapping have an anti-seizure coating.
16. Column according to claim 15, wherein there is a spring between said threaded rod and the piston.
17. Column according to any of claims 12 to 16, wherein, in the assembly, the rod is provided with a retaining nut.
18. Packing method to pack a chromatographic bed in a chromatography column comprising the following steps:
providing a device according to any of claims 1 to 6;
filling this device with a bed suspension;
causing translation of the cylinder and piston to compress the suspension into a bed.
19. Method according to claim 18, also comprising the following step:
detaching the column from the reservoir.
20. Method according to claim 19, also comprising the following step:
associating the assembly of the threaded rod and tapped flange receiving the threaded rod, said threaded rod adapting to the piston.
21. Method according to claim 20, wherein, in the assembly, the threads of the rod and tapping have an anti-seizure coating.
22. Method according to claim 21, wherein, in the assembly, the rod is provided with a retaining nut.
23. Method according to any of claims 20 to 22, wherein, in the assembly, there is a spring between said threaded rod and the piston.
24. Method according to any of claims 19 to 23, also comprising a recompression step by clamping the threaded rod.
25. Method according to claim 24, wherein the pressure exerted on the compressed bed is controlled by the clamping torque applied to the nut.
26. Method to separate at least two compounds from a fluid to be chromatographied, comprising chromatography of said fluid in the column according to any of claims 12 to 17.
27. Method to separate at least two compounds from a fluid to be chromatographied, comprising the steps of packing the bed according to any of claims 18 to 25, and causing flow of the fluid to be chromatographied through the bed, and collection thereof.
