1. A method of digital rights management comprising:
receiving source encrypted content at a computing device;
transferring the source encrypted content from the computing device to a dongle;
translating a set of digital rights management rules associated with the source encrypted content to a set of digital rights management rules associated with the dongle;
re-encrypting the source encrypted content into a managed copy of the content locked to the dongle;
transferring the managed copy of the content from the dongle to the computing device; and
storing the managed copy of the content on one or more computing device-readable media of the computing device.
2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the source encrypted content is locked to a source of the content.
3. The method according to claim 1, wherein the source encrypted content is transferred from the computing device to the dongle across a secure communication channel negotiated between the dongle and an input device that the source content was received on by the computing device.
4. The method according to claim 1, wherein re-encrypting the source encrypted content into the managed copy of the content locked to the dongle comprises:
decrypting the source encrypted content into a clear copy of the content not accessible from outside of the dongle; and
encrypting the clear copy of the content into a dongle encrypted content.
5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the managed copy of the content is transferred from the dongle to the computing device across a secure communication channel negotiated between the dongle and a controller of the computing device-readable media that the managed copy is stored on.
6. The method according to claim 1, further comprising:
transferring the managed copy from the computing device to the dongle;
re-encrypting the managed copy of the content into a rendering copy of the content locked to a video card of the computing device;
transferring the rendering copy of the content from the dongle to the video card; and
rendering the content on a monitor of the computing device from the rendering copy.
7. The method according to claim 6, wherein the managed copy of the content is transferred from the computing device readable media of the computing device across a secure communication channel negotiated between the dongle and a controller of the computing device-readable media.
8. The method according to claim 6, wherein the rendering copy of the content is transferred from the dongle to the video card across a secure communication channel negotiated between the dongle and the video card.
9. The method according to claim 1, wherein the computing device comprises a computer.
10. The method according to claim 1, wherein the computing device comprises a game console.
11. The method according to claim 1, wherein the computing device comprises a digital video recorder.
12. The method according to claim 1, wherein the computing device comprises a home entertainment system.
13. A method of digital rights management comprising:
receiving source encrypted content at a computing device;
transferring the source encrypted content from the computing device to a dongle;
translating a set of digital rights management rules associated with the source encrypted content to a set of digital rights management rules associated with the dongle;
re-encrypting the source encrypted content into a rendering copy of the content locked to a video card of the computing device;
transferring the rendering copy of the content from the dongle to the video card; and
rendering the content on a monitor of the computing device from the rendering copy.
14. The method according to claim 13, wherein the source encrypted content is transferred from the computing device to the dongle across a secure communication channel negotiated between the dongle and an input device that the source content was received on by the computing device.
15. The method according to claim 13, wherein re-encrypting the source encrypted content into the rendering copy of the content locked to the video card comprises:
decrypting the source encrypted content into a clear copy of the content not accessible from outside of the dongle; and
encrypting the clear copy of the content using an encryption key of the video card.
16. The method according to claim 13, wherein the rendering copy of the content is transferred from the dongle to the video card across a secure communication channel negotiated between the dongle and the video card.
17. A dongle comprising:
a digital rights management engine for porting digital rights management rules of a source of content to digital rights management rules enforced by the digital rights management engine so that a managed copy of the content is locked to an encryptiondecryption engine; and
the encryptiondecryption engine for re-encrypting the source of content into the managed copy of the content.
18. The dongle of claim 17, further comprising an interface controller for receiving the source of content from a computing device and sending the managed copy of the content to the computing device or another computing device.
19. The dongle of claim 18, further comprising the interface controller and the digital rights management engine for establishing a secure communication channel between the dongle and the one or more computing devices, wherein establishing the secure communication channel includes sending an authentication certificate of the dongle.
20. The dongle of claim 19, further comprising a computing device readable media not accessible outside the dongle for storing the content during re-encrypting the source of content into the managed copy of the content and for storing the authentication certificate of the dongle.

A pepper plant regenerated from the tissue culture of claim 11, wherein said plant has all the physiological and morphological characteristics of the pepper plant comprising at least a first set of the chromosomes of pepper line SMY 99-1322, a sample of seed of said line having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-11517.
13. A method of vegetatively propagating the plant of claim 1 comprising the steps of:
(a) obtaining tissue capable of being propagated from a plant according to claim 1;
(b) cultivating said tissue to obtain proliferated shoots; and
(c) rooting said proliferated shoots to obtain rooted plantlets.
14. The method of claim 13, further comprising growing plants from said rooted plantlets.
15. A method of introducing a desired trait into a pepper line comprising:
(a) crossing a plant of pepper line SMY 99-1322, a sample of seed of said line having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-11517, with a second pepper plant that comprises a desired trait to produce F1 progeny;
(b) selecting an F1 progeny that comprises the desired trait;
(c) crossing the selected F1 progeny with a plant of line SMY 99-1322 to produce backcross progeny; and
(d) repeating steps (b) and (c) three or more times to produce selected fourth or higher backcross progeny that comprise the desired trait.
16. A pepper plant produced by the method of claim 15, wherein said plant otherwise comprises essentially all of the morphological and physiological characteristics of pepper line SMY 99-1322.
17. A method of producing a pepper plant comprising a single locus conversion, the method comprising obtaining a plant of pepper line SMR 99-1275 comprising the single locus conversion, and crossing the plant of line SMR 99-1275 comprising the single locus conversion with a plant of line SMY 99-1322, a sample of seed of said lines having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-11520 and ATCC Accession No. PTA-11517, respectively.
18. A pepper plant produced by the method of claim 17; wherein the plant otherwise comprises essentially all of the morphological and physiological characteristics of pepper hybrid PS09954859.
19. A method of producing a pepper plant comprising a transgene, the method comprising introducing a transgene into a plant of pepper hybrid PS09954859 or pepper line SMY 99-1322, a sample of seed of said hybrid and line having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-11514 and ATCC Accession No. PTA-11517, respectively.
20. A pepper plant produced by the method of claim 19.
21. A plant of pepper hybrid PS09954859 or pepper line SMY 99-1322, further comprising a transgene, a sample of seed of said hybrid and line having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-11514 and ATCC Accession No. PTA-11517, respectively.
22. A pepper seed that produces the plant of claim 21.

A plant of pepper hybrid PS09954859 or pepper line SMY 99-1322, further comprising a single locus conversion, a sample of seed of said hybrid and line having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-11514 and ATCC Accession No. PTA-11517, respectively; wherein the plant otherwise comprises essentially all of the morphological and physiological characteristics of pepper hybrid PS09954859 or pepper line SMY 99-1322, respectively.

The plant of claim 23, wherein the plant comprising the single locus conversion is pepper hybrid PS09954859, and wherein the single locus conversion is inherited from pepper line SMY 99-1322, a sample of seed of said hybrid and line having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-11514 and ATCC Accession No. PTA-11517, respectively.
25. A pepper seed that produces the plant of claim 23.
26. A method for producing a pepper seed of a plant derived from pepper hybrid PS09954859 or pepper line SMY 99-1322, comprising the steps of:
(a) crossing a pepper plant of hybrid PS09954859 or line SMY 99-1322 with a second pepper plant; a sample of seed of said hybrid and line having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-11514 and ATCC Accession No. PTA-11517, respectively; and
(b) allowing seed of a hybrid PS09954859 or line SMY 99-1322-derived pepper plant to form.
27. The method of claim 26, further comprising the steps of:
(c) crossing a plant grown from said hybrid PS09954859 or SMY 99-1322-derived pepper seed with itself or a second pepper plant to yield additional hybrid PS09954859 or SMY 99-1322-derived pepper seed;
(d) growing said additional hybrid PS09954859 or SMY 99-1322-derived pepper seed of step (c) to yield additional hybrid PS09954859 or SMY 99-1322-derived pepper plants; and
(e) repeating the crossing and growing steps of (c) and (d) to generate at least a first further hybrid PS09954859 or SMY 99-1322-derived pepper plant.
28. The method of claim 26, wherein the second pepper plant is of an inbred pepper line.
29. The method of claim 25, comprising crossing line SMY 99-1322 with a second pepper plant of line SMR 99-1275, a sample of seed of said lines having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-11517, and ATCC Accession Number PTA-11520, respectively.
30. The method of claim 27, further comprising:
(f) crossing the further hybrid PS09954859 or SMY 99-1322-derived pepper plant with a second pepper plant to produce seed of a hybrid progeny plant.
31. A method of producing a pepper comprising:
(a) obtaining a plant according to claim 1, wherein the plant has been cultivated to maturity; and
(b) collecting a pepper from the plant.
32. The method of claim 31, wherein the plant is a plant of pepper hybrid PS09954859, a sample of seed of said hybrid PS09954859 having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-11514.
33. A method of producing pepper seed comprising crossing the plant of claim 1 with itself or a second pepper plant.
