1. A retaining apparatus for at least one data storage device, comprising:
a tray for receiving the at least one data storage device; and
a retaining device comprising:
a base member attached to the tray;
an arm member pivotably attached to the base member about a first pivot axis, the arm member having a retaining portion;
an operation member pivotably attached to the base member about a second pivot axis, the second pivot axis substantially perpendicular to the first pivot axis; and
a blocking tab secured to the operation member, the blocking tab having a blocking portion to block the arm member;
wherein when the arm member is rotatable between a retaining position where the arm member is blocked by the blocking portion, and the tray and the retaining device are secured to a bracket and a releasing position where the arm member is angled to the base member, and the retaining portion is disengaged from the bracket;
a spring is located between the base member and the arm member to bias the arm member away from the base member.
2. The retaining apparatus of the claim 1, wherein the tray comprises two side walls and an elastic cushion attached to each side wall.
3. The retaining apparatus of the claim 1, wherein a shielding clip is located between the tray and the base member.
4. The retaining apparatus of the claim 3, wherein the shielding clip comprising a resilient touch finger and the touch finger extends to a lateral side of the base member.
5. The retaining apparatus of the claim 1, wherein the base member has a front panel, the front panel defines a pivot opening; the operation member has a pivot post extending through the pivot opening; the blocking tab defines a securing opening corresponding to the pivot post.
6. The retaining apparatus of the claim 5, wherein the pivot post has a non-circular cross-section, so that the pivot post is capable of driving the blocking tab to rotate.
7. The retaining apparatus of the claim 1, wherein an engaging slot is defined by the arm member.
8. The retaining apparatus of the claim 1, wherein a positioning post protrudes from the base member; and a positioning hole is defined in the tray receiving the positioning post.
9. A computer comprising:
a bracket comprising a side plate, the side plate has a baffle at a front end thereof; and
a retaining apparatus comprising:
a tray for receiving the data storage device; and
a retaining device comprising:
a base member attached to the tray;
an arm member pivotably attached to the base member about a pivot axis, the arm member having a retaining portion for engaging the baffle;
an operation member pivotably attached to the base member about a second pivot axis, the second pivot axis substantially perpendicular to the first pivot axis; and
a blocking tab secured to the operation member, the blocking tab having a blocking portion to block the arm member;
wherein when the arm member is rotatable between a retaining position and a released position; in the retaining position, the arm member is blocked by the blocking portion, and the retaining apparatus is retained in the bracket with the retaining portion engaging with the baffle; in the released position, the arm member is rotated away from the base member, the retaining portion is released by the blocking portion from the bracket, and the retaining apparatus is disengaged from the bracket.
10. The computer of the claim 9, wherein the tray comprises two side walls and an elastic cushion attached to each side wall.
11. The computer of the claim 9, wherein a shielding clip is located between the tray and the base member.
12. The computer of the claim 11, wherein the shielding clip comprising a resilient touch finger and the touch finger is located between a lateral side of the base member and the side plate.
13. The computer of the claim 9, wherein the base member has a front panel, the front panel defines a pivot opening; the operation member has a pivot post extending through the pivot opening; the blocking tab defines a securing opening corresponding to the pivot post.
14. The computer of the claim 13, wherein the pivot post has a non-circular cross-section and is capable of driving the blocking tab to rotate.
15. The computer of the claim 9, wherein an engaging slot engages the blocking portion.
16. The computer of the claim 9, wherein a spring is located between the base member and the arm member to bias the arm member away from the base member.
17. The computer of the claim 9, wherein a positioning post protrudes from the base member; and a positioning hole is defined in the tray that receives the positioning post.
18. The computer of the claim 9, wherein the baffle is vertically formed on the side plate; the retaining portion has a cutout corresponding to the baffle.
19. The computer of the claim 9, wherein the retaining portion has a wedge-shaped ridge.

A machine table for a processing machine for holding at least one workpiece, which is to be processed, or at least one work accessory, with at least one table element (3, 9, 13), which is mounted so that it can be rotated about an axis, and has at least two sides, which can be brought into a working position by rotating the table element and at which the workpiece andor work accessory can be held.
2. The machine table of claim 1, wherein the table element is constructed as a table top of large area.
3. The machine table of claim 1, wherein the table element (3, 9, 13) is constructed in the form of a console, several console-like table elements (3, 9, 13) being provided parallel to one another at a table frame (2).
4. The machine table of claim 3, wherein each console-like table element (9) is constructed essentially triangularly in cross section and has three sides (I, II, III).
5. The machine table of claim 3, wherein each console-like table element (3) is constructed essentially quadrilaterally in cross section and has four sides (I, II, III, IV).
6. The machine table of one of the claims 3 to 5, wherein the console-like table elements (3, 9, 13) are mounted displaceably on the table frame (2).
7. The machine table of claim 6, wherein the table elements (3, 9, 13) can be positioned in such a manner next to one another that essentially a flat, closed tabletop results.
8. The machine table of claim 7, wherein the table elements (3, 9, 13) can be shifted manually andor automatically, especially motor-driven or pneumatically.
9. The machine table of one of the preceding claims, wherein the table element or elements (3, 9, 13) can be rotated manually andor automatically, especially motor-driven or pneumatically.
10. The machine table of claim 9, wherein several table elements (3, 9, 13) can be rotated jointly by means of a common motor drive or pneumatic drive or separately by means of separate motor drives or pneumatic drives (6).
11. The machine table of one of the preceding claims, wherein similarly andor differently acting means for holding the workpiece andor the work accessory are provided at the sides (I, II, III, IV), engaging the workpiece or the work accessory or interacting with the workpiece.
12. The machine table of claim 11, wherein the means are formed directly at the respective side or integrated there, or that at least one attachable element (18, 19, 20, 21), having or forming the respective means, is or can be fastened at the respective side.
13. The machine table of claim 12, wherein the means comprise a grid-groove structure (24), over which a vacuum can be applied to the set-down workpiece or work accessory.
14. The machine table of claims 12 or 13, wherein the means comprise a groove structure (28), especially T-shaped grooves, which interact with corresponding counterpieces, which can be introduced into the grooves and are formed at the workpiece or work accessory, for holding the workpiece.
15. The machine table of one of the claims of 12 to 14, wherein the means comprise longitudinally extending rails, on which at least one carriage, carrying the workpiece or work accessory, is moveable.
16. The machine table of one of the claims 12 to 15, wherein the means comprise a plurality of suction openings (26), which can be closed off by valve elements (27) and over which a vacuum can be applied to the workpiece or work accessory, which has been set down.
17. The machine table of one of the claims 12 to 16, wherein the means comprise a magnetic plate, especially a magnetic plate, which can be magnetized by an electromagnet.
18. The machine table of one of the claims 12 to 17, wherein the means comprise a metal plate (21) with a plurality of channel openings (29), which discharge at the upper side and have allocated magnetic closing disks (30), over which a vacuum can be applied to the workpiece or work accessory, which has been set down.
19. The machine table of one of the claims 12 to 18, wherein the means comprise a wood or plastic plate, into which nails, screws or other fastening elements can be introduced.
20. The machine table of one of the claims 12 to 19, wherein the respective attachable element (18, 19, 20, 21) is plate-shaped and can be fastened, particularly screwed to the respective side of the table element (3, 9, 13) by suitable fastening means (22).
21. The machine table of one of the claims, wherein, within the table element (3, 9, 13), at least one vacuum channel (16) is provided, over which, at least at one side, means, over which the vacuum can be taken to the workpiece or the work accessory, can be supplied with vacuum.
22. The machine table of claim 21, wherein several channel boreholes (17), of which at least a portion can be connected with corresponding channel boreholes (25, 26, 29) or channel grooves or a vacuum cavity of the respective attachable element (18, 19, 21) and which communicate with the integrated vacuum channel (16), discharge at the respective side.
23. The machine table of claims 21 or 22, wherein at least one vacuum channel (16), which discharges over channel boreholes (17) at the respective side (I, II, III, IV), is provided below each side (I, II, III, IV) of the table element (3, 9, 13).
24. The machine table of one of the claims 21 to 23, wherein a vacuum channel (16), assigned to one side, can be connected with an external source of vacuum (23) only in and automatically upon reaching the position, in which the respective side is in its working position.
25. The machine table of one of the preceding claims, wherein one or more locking elements (36) are provided for locking the table elements (3, 9, 19), in the respective working position.
26. The machine table of claims 24 to 25 wherein at least one locking element (36) is constructed simultaneously as an element, connecting the vacuum channel (16) with the vacuum source (32), which can be connected to the locking element (36).
27. The machine table of one of the preceding claims, wherein at least one compressed air channel (41) is provided, which is integrated in the table element (3, 9, 13), discharges at least at one side and can be connected with an external source of compressed air (43).
28. The machine table of one of the preceding claims, wherein, at a front side of the table element (3, 9, 13), a plate (31) is provided, which closes off the vacuum channel or channel (16) and optionally the compressed air channel or channels (41) and at which suitable means (32, 45, 47) for connecting a vacuum channel (16) or a compressed air channel (41) with the respective source (33, 43) andor a locking element (36) are provided.
29. The machine table of one of the claims 12 to 27, wherein the table element (3, 9, 13) has a standardized basic support (15), which optionally is provided with the integrated vacuum andor pressure channel or channels (16, 41) and to the side of which the attachable elements (18, 19, 20, 21) can be fastened.

The machine table of one of the preceding claims, wherein the or each table element (55, 60), which is, in particular, a console-like table element, consists of several table element sections (56, 57, 58, 59, 61, 62, 63), which are disposed in series, with in each case at least two sides, which can be rotated separately about a common axis (C) and can be locked to one another.
31. The machine table of claim 30, wherein the table element sections (55, 60) can be rotated manually andor mechanically.
32. The machine table of claims 30 to 31, wherein each table element section (56, 57, 58, 59, 61, 62, 63) has at least one vacuum channel andor at least one compressed air channel, it being possible to couple at least the channels of two adjacent table element sections, which are in the upper working position, with one another.
33. The machine table of claim 32, wherein the channels of two table element sections (56, 57, 58, 59, 61, 62, 63), which are disposed next to one another and extend in the region of a side, which is not in the upper working position, can also be coupled to one another.
34. The machine table of claims 32, or 33 wherein the coupling is accomplished automatically upon reaching a position, in which the sides of two table element sections (56, 57, 58, 59, 61, 62, 63) are parallel to one another.
35. The machine table of one of the claims 30 to 34, wherein at least one table element section (62) can be removed from the construction.
36. The machine table of claim 35, wherein the table element sections (56, 57, 58, 59, 61, 62, 63) can be detachably placed on a central support, extending in the axis of rotation.
37. The machine table of claim 35, wherein the at least one table element section (62) can be removed complexly from the construction, so that a gap, into which a third object can be inserted, is formed between two table elements sections (61, 63).
