1. An finger grip extension for a syringe, provided to facilitate use of a syringe during an injection of medical fluid into, or withdrawal of medical fluid from an injection site, said syringe comprising a barrel portion having an open proximal end and a distal end, said open proximal end terminating in a rim having a pair of opposed flanges extending outwardly thereon, and a plunger for insertion into the open proximal end of said barrel portion, the plunger having a proximal end and a distal end,
wherein said finger grip comprises an upwardly extending portion located inside or outside of the syringe barrel portion, wherein said upwardly extending portion is of a length less than the length of the plunger, and wherein said upwardly extending portion further includes a finger support at an uppermost portion thereof.
2. The finger grip extension of claim 1, wherein the upwardly extending portion comprises two arm members located on opposite sides of the syringe, each arm member having a finger support located at an upper portion thereof, where said finger support is one of a) a geometrical shape extending substantially perpendicular to said arm member, and b) an open ring shape configured to receive the fingers of a user.
3. The finger grip extension of claim 1, wherein the grip is removable from the syringe.
4. The finger grip extension of claim 3, wherein the grip has a circumference equal to or slightly larger than the outside diameter of the syringe and is used on the outside of the syringe.
5. The finger grip extension of claim 3, further comprising a seal for securing the grip to the top of the syringe.
6. The finger grip extension of claim 3, wherein the adapter is securable at any one of a number of selected locations along the length of the syringe.
7. The finger grip extension of claim 1, wherein the grip is integrally formed with one of the barrel and plunger of the syringe.
8. The finger grip extension of claim 3, wherein the upwardly extending arm members are located on the outside of the syringe.
9. The finger grip extension of claim 2, wherein the upwardly extending arm members are located on the inside of the syringe.
10. The finger grip extension of claim 3, wherein the finger grip is formed as a substantially U-shaped structure having two upwardly extending arm members integral with a cross member that has an upper surface and a lower surface, said cross member having a circular opening formed therein that allows the grip to be inserted over the exterior barrel of the syringe and further comprising a seal having a circular opening formed therein, wherein the seal is attached to the lower surface of the cross member and the seal has an opening of a diameter substantially equal to the diameter of the exterior syringe barrel, and the seal secures the grip to the barrel of the syringe when the grip is placed over the barrel of the syringe.
11. A finger grip extension in combination with a syringe configured to facilitate the use of the syringe during an injection of medical fluid into, or withdrawal of medical fluid from an injection site, said combination comprising:
a) a cylindrical barrel having:
an inside diameter;
an outside diameter;
an open proximal end for receiving a plunger, said open proximal end terminating in a rim having a pair of opposed flanges extending outwardly thereon, said proximal end having a distal surface and a proximal surface; and a distal end for mounting a medical fluid conduit thereon;
b) a plunger, having an outside diameter equal to or slightly greater than the inside diameter of said cylindrical barrel, said plunger slideably positioned in said cylindrical barrel;
c) an extension grip comprising an upwardly extending portion located inside or outside of a syringe, wherein said upwardly extending portion is of a length less than the length of the plunger, and wherein said upwardly extending portion further includes an integral finger support located at an uppermost portion thereof.
12. The finger grip combination of claim 11, wherein the grip is removable from the barrel of the syringe.
13. The finger grip combination of claim 12, wherein the syringe further comprises at least one positive lock member located on the barrel of the syringe, to slidably receive the grip at any one of a number of selected locations along the barrel of the syringe.
14. The finger grip combination of claim 13, wherein the at least one positive lock member is fitted to the inside of the barrel of the syringe.
15. The finger grip combination of claim 13, wherein the at least one positive lock member is located along the length of the outside of the barrel of the syringe.
16. The finger grip combination of claim 11, wherein the upwardly extending portion comprises two arm members located on opposite sides of the syringe, each arm member comprising a finger support located at a top portion thereof and extending in a generally perpendicular direction from the arm member, where said support is one of a) a geometrical shape extending outwardly on said arm member, and b) an open ring shape configured to receive a user’s fingers therein.
17. The finger grip combination of claim 11, wherein the grip is integrally formed with the syringe.
18. The finger grip combination of claim 12, wherein the finger grip is formed as a substantially U-shaped structure having two upwardly extending arms integral with a cross member that has an upper surface and a lower surface, said cross member having a circular opening formed therein that allows the grip to be inserted over the barrel of the syringe and further comprising a seal having a circular opening formed therein, wherein the seal is attached to the lower surface of the cross member and the seal is of a diameter substantially equal to the diameter of the syringe barrel and the seal secures the grip to the barrel of the syringe when the grip is placed over the barrel of the syringe.

1. An extraction mechanism, comprising:
a release part configured to release an engagement between a cage and a device inserted into the cage and engaged and latched to the cage;
an ejection part configured to eject the device out of the cage; and
a release lever configured to activate the release part and the ejection part, wherein
the extraction mechanism is provided to the device.
2. The extraction mechanism according to claim 1, wherein
the release lever is configured to be pushed to a release direction to activate the release part and the ejection part, the release direction being different from an insertion direction and an extraction direction of the device.
3. The extraction mechanism according to claim 1, comprising:
a slider slidable to an insertion direction and an extraction direction of the device;
an ejector slidable to the insertion direction and the extraction direction; and
an energization member located between the slider and the ejector, and configured to energize the slider to the extraction direction and to energize the ejector to the insertion direction, wherein
the ejector is configured to contact with the cage and to catch an energization force of the energization member when the device is latched to the cage,
by the release lever pushed to a release direction, the slider is configured to slide to the insertion direction, thereby compressing the energization member to charge energy in the energization member, and releasing the engagement between the cage and the device, and
by release of the engagement between the cage and the device, the energy charged in the energization member is configured to be released to push the slider to the extraction direction, thereby ejecting the device out of the cage.
4. The extraction mechanism according to claim 3, wherein
by the energization member pushing the release lever via the slider to a direction opposite to the release direction, the release lever is configured to return to an original position.
5. The extraction mechanism according to claim 3, wherein
a collision sound is configured to occur by the ejector hitting a part of the device, when the device is ejected out of the cage.
6. The extraction mechanism according to claim 1, wherein
the release lever is swingable around a swinging axis substantially perpendicular to an insertion direction and an extraction direction of the device, and
the release part and the ejection part are configured to be activated when the release lever reaches a position in the extraction direction looking from the swinging axis.
7. The extraction mechanism according to claim 1, wherein
the device comprises a connector configured to be connected with a connector plug, and
the release lever comprises an opening configured to be inserted an end of the connector plug through.
8. A device, comprising the extraction mechanism according to claim 1.
9. The device according to claim 8, wherein the device is an optical module.
