What is claimed is:

1. A manufacturing method for an oriented film comprising the steps of;
stretching in two to six times a non-stretched film with moisture percentage adjusted to no more than 10% comprising polyvinyl alcohols or derivatives by heating at no less than 70 C.; and
subsequently annealing by heating again at no less than 70 C. after once cooling at no more than 40 C.
2. The manufacturing method for an oriented film according to claim 1, wherein a rate of strain is set to no less than 1.4 (1s) in said stretching process.
3. The manufacturing method for an oriented film according to claim 1, wherein a non-stretched film is dyed beforehand with iodine or a dichroism dyestuff.
4. The manufacturing method for an oriented film according to claim 1, wherein a stretched film is dyed with iodine or a dichroism dyestuff after the annealing process.
5. A polarizing film comprising an oriented film obtainable by the manufacturing method for an oriented film according to claim 3 or 4.
6. A polarizing plate with an optical transparent protective layer on at least one side of the polarizing film according to claim 5.
7. A visual display using the polarizing plate according to claim 6.

The claims below are in addition to those above.
All refrences to claim(s) which appear below refer to the numbering after this setence.

1. A computer readable medium storing computer executable instructions that when executed implement a method to control a first feature, the method comprising:
validating an apparatus that removably connects to a first printer, the validating including comparing first data stored within the apparatus to second data stored within the first printer;
enabling the first feature within the first printer utilizing third data stored within the apparatus; and
restricting the apparatus such that the apparatus is no longer operable to enable the first feature within a printer other than the first printer.
2. The medium of claim 1, wherein the first and second data identify the apparatus as authorized for use with the first printer.
3. The medium of claim 1, wherein restricting the apparatus comprises storing fourth data within the apparatus, the fourth data identifying the first printer.
4. The medium of claim 1, wherein the third data comprises the first data.
