(b) on power up, executing said boot code;
(c) subsequently, executing said code of said driver to issue to said data storage device an instruction to access said memory at a virtual address; and
(d) translating said virtual address to a physical address of said memory, by said data storage device.
8. The method of claim 7, further including the step of:
(e) including, in the system, a host of said data storage device;

9. A system comprising:
(a) a data storage device including:
(i) a NAND flash memory,
(ii) an executable interface that supports a first protocol, and
(iii) a controller for receiving, via said executable interface, an instruction to access said NAND flash memory at a virtual address, and for translating said virtual address to a physical address in said NAND flash memory; and

(b) a host, of said data storage device, that is operative to issue said instruction by executing a driver of said data storage device that emulates a second protocol different from said first protocol.
10. The system of claim 9, wherein said second protocol is a protocol of a nonexecutable interface.
11. The system of claim 10, wherein said nonexecutable interface is a USB interface.
12. The system of claim 10, wherein said nonexecutable interface is a SD interface.
13. The system of claim 10, wherein said nonexecutable interface is a MMC interface.
14. The system of claim 10, wherein said nonexecutable interface is a CF interface.
