1. A method for inter-enterprise telephony communications, comprising:
receiving, for each of a plurality of enterprise networks, resolution information specifying a plurality of telephone identifiers associated with the enterprise network and connectivity information specifying a network address associated with the enterprise network;
storing the resolution information and the connectivity information for each of the enterprise networks in a central brokerage device;
receiving a packet encoding a dialed telephone identifier generated by a first telephony device located in a first enterprise network, wherein the dialed telephone identifier is associated with a second telephony device located in a second enterprise network;
determining whether the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device;
if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
identifying a network address of the second enterprise network using the connectivity information; and
establishing an encrypted communication link between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network through a packet-based network using the identified network address; and
if the-dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
communicating a message to the first enterprise network that the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device; and
establishing a second communication link between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network through a circuit-switched network using the dialed telephone identifier.
2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
generating a second packet encoding the identified network address;
communicating the second packet to a gateway associated with the first enterprise network; and
establishing the encrypted communication link between the gateway and the second enterprise network using the identified network address.
3. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
if the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
establishing a second encrypted communication link between the first enterprise network and the central brokerage device through the packet-based network; and
establishing a third communication link between the central brokerage device and the second enterprise network through the circuit-switched network using the dialed telephone identifier.
4. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
exchanging encryption information between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network using the connectivity information; and
encrypting and decrypting communications transmitted between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network using the encryption information.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein the connectivity information associated with the second enterprise network identifies an Internet Protocol (IP) address and a port of a gateway associated with the second enterprise network.
6. The method of claim 5, wherein the gateway is a selected one of a plurality of gateways associated with the second enterprise network.
7. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
communicating rich media to the second telephony device using the encrypted communication link.
8. A system for inter-enterprise telephony communications, comprising:
a central brokerage device operable to receive, for each of a plurality of enterprise networks, resolution information specifying a plurality of telephone identifiers associated with the enterprise network and connectivity information specifying a network address associated with the enterprise network, to store the resolution information and the connectivity information for each of the enterprise networks, to receive a packet encoding a dialed telephone identifier generated by a first telephony device located in a first enterprise network, wherein the dialed telephone identifier is associated with a second telephony device located in a second enterprise network, to determine whether the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device, to identify a network address of the second enterprise network using the connectivity information if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device, and to communicate a message to the first enterprise network that the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device if the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device; and
the first enterprise network operable to establish an encrypted communication link with the second enterprise network through a packet-based network using the identified network address if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device, and to establish a second communication link between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network through a circuit-switched network using the dialed telephone identifier if the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device.
9. The system of claim 8, wherein if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device the central brokerage device is further operable to generate a second packet encoding the identified network address and to communicate the second packet to a gateway associated with the first enterprise network, the gateway operable to establish the encrypted communication link with the second enterprise network using the identified network address.
10. The system of claim 8, wherein if the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device the central brokerage device is further operable to establish a second encrypted communication link between the first enterprise network and the central brokerage device through the packet-based network and to establish a third communication link between the central brokerage device and the second enterprise network through the circuit-switched network using the dialed telephone identifier.
11. The system of claim 8, wherein if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device the first enterprise network is further operable to exchange encryption information with the second enterprise network using the connectivity information and to encrypt and decrypt communications transmitted between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network using the encryption information.
12. The system of claim 8, wherein the connectivity information associated with the second enterprise network identifies an Internet Protocol (IP) address and a port of a gateway associated with the second enterprise network.
13. The system of claim 12, wherein the gateway is a selected one of a plurality of gateways associated with the second enterprise network.
14. The system of claim 8, wherein the first enterprise network is further operable to communicate rich media to the second telephony device using the encrypted communication link.
15. An apparatus supporting inter-enterprise telephony communications, comprising:
a memory operable to receive, for each of a plurality of enterprise networks, resolution information specifying a plurality of telephone identifiers associated with the enterprise network and connectivity information specifying a network address associated with the enterprise network, to store the resolution information and the connectivity information for each of the enterprise networks, and to receive a packet encoding a dialed telephone identifier generated by a first telephony device located in a first enterprise network, wherein the dialed telephone identifier is associated with a second telephony device located in a second enterprise network; and
a processor coupled to the memory and operable to determine whether the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the memory, to identify a network address of the second enterprise network using the connectivity information if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the memory, and to communicate a message to the first enterprise network that the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the memory if the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the memory;
wherein the first enterprise network is operable to establish an encrypted communication link with the second enterprise network through a packet-based network using the identified network address if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the memory, and to establish a second communication link between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network through a circuit-switched network using the dialed telephone identifier if the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the memory.
16. The apparatus of claim 15, wherein if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the memory the processor is further operable to generate a second packet encoding the identified network address and to communicate the second packet to a gateway associated with the first enterprise network, the gateway operable to establish the encrypted communication link with the second enterprise network using the identified network address.
17. The apparatus of claim 15, wherein if the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the memory the processor is further operable to establish a second encrypted communication link between the first enterprise network and the central brokerage device through the packet-based network and to establish a third communication link between the central brokerage device and the second enterprise network through the circuit-switched network using the dialed telephone identifier.
18. The apparatus of claim 15, wherein if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the memory the first enterprise network is further operable to exchange encryption information with the second enterprise network using the connectivity information and to encrypt and decrypt communications transmitted between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network using the encryption information.
19. The apparatus of claim 15, wherein the connectivity information associated with the second enterprise network identifies an Internet Protocol (IP) address and a port of a gateway associated with the second enterprise network.
20. The apparatus of claim 19, wherein the gateway is a selected one of a plurality of gateways associated with the second enterprise network.
21. The apparatus of claim 15, wherein the first enterprise network is further operable to communicate rich media to the second telephony device using the encrypted communication link.
22. Logic for inter-enterprise telephony communications, the logic encoded on media and operable when executed to:
receive, for each of a plurality of enterprise networks, resolution information specifying a plurality of telephone identifiers associated with the enterprise network and connectivity information specifying a network address associated with the enterprise network;
store the resolution information and the connectivity information for each of the enterprise networks in a central brokerage device;
receive a packet encoding a dialed telephone identifier generated by a first telephony device located in a first enterprise network, wherein the dialed telephone identifier is associated with a second telephony device located in a second enterprise network;
determine whether the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device;
if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
identify a network address of the second enterprise network using the connectivity information; and
establish an encrypted communication link between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network through a packet-based network using the identified network address; and
if the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
communicate a message to the first enterprise network that the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device; and
establish a second communication link between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network through a circuit-switched network using the dialed telephone identifier.
23. The logic of claim 22, further operable when executed to:
if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
generate a second packet encoding the identified network address;
communicate the second packet to a gateway associated with the first enterprise network; and
establish the encrypted communication link between the gateway and the second enterprise network using the identified network address.
24. The logic of claim 22, further operable when executed to:
if the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
establish a second encrypted communication link between the first enterprise network and the central brokerage device through the packet-based network; and
establish a third communication link between the central brokerage device and the second enterprise network through the circuit-switched network using the dialed telephone identifier.
25. The logic of claim 22, further operable when executed to:
if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
exchange encryption information between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network using the connectivity information; and
encrypt and decrypt communications transmitted between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network using the encryption information.
26. The logic of claim 22, wherein the connectivity information associated with the second enterprise network identifies an Internet Protocol (IP) address and a port of a gateway associated with the second enterprise network.
27. The logic of claim 26, wherein the gateway is a selected one of a plurality of gateways associated with the second enterprise network.
28. The logic of claim 22, further operable when executed to:
communicate rich media to the second telephony device using the encrypted communication link.
29. A system for inter-enterprise telephony communications, comprising:
means for receiving, for each of a plurality of enterprise networks, resolution information specifying a plurality of telephone identifiers associated with the enterprise network and connectivity information specifying a network address associated with the enterprise network;
means for storing the resolution information and the connectivity information for each of the enterprise networks in a central brokerage device;
means for receiving a packet encoding a dialed telephone identifier generated by a first telephony device located in a first enterprise network, wherein the dialed telephone identifier is associated with a second telephony device located in a second enterprise network;
means for determining whether the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device;
if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
means for identifying a network address of the second enterprise network using the connectivity information; and
means for establishing an encrypted communication link between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network through a packet-based network using the identified network address; and
if the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
means for communicating a message to the first enterprise network that the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device; and
means for establishing a second communication link between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network through a circuit-switched network using the dialed telephone identifier.
30. The system of claim 29, further comprising:
if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
means for generating a second packet encoding the identified network address;
means for communicating the second packet to a gateway associated with the first enterprise network; and
means for establishing the encrypted communication link between the gateway and the second enterprise network using the identified network address.
31. The system of claim 29, further comprising:
if the dialed telephone identifier does not match the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
means for establishing a second encrypted communication link between the first enterprise network and the central brokerage device through the packet-based network; and
means for establishing a third communication link between the central brokerage device and the second enterprise network through the circuit-switched network using the dialed telephone identifier.
32. The system of claim 29, further comprising:
if the dialed telephone identifier matches the resolution information stored in the central brokerage device:
means for exchanging encryption information between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network using the connectivity information; and
means for encrypting and decrypting communications transmitted between the first enterprise network and the second enterprise network using the encryption information.
33. The system of claim 29, wherein the connectivity information associated with the second enterprise network identifies an Internet Protocol (IP) address and a port of a gateway associated with the second enterprise network.
34. The system of claim 33, wherein the gateway is a selected one of a plurality of gateways associated with the second enterprise network.
35. The system of claim 29, further comprising:
means for communicating rich media to the second telephony device using the encrypted communication link.
36. A system for supporting communications between enterprise networks, comprising:
a telephony device operable to couple to a first enterprise network, to receive a telephone identifier associated with a remote device, and to communicate the telephone identifier to a local call management device;
the local call management device operable to couple to the telephony device, to receive the telephone identifier, to determine that the remote device is not coupled to the first enterprise network based on the telephone identifier, and to communicate the telephone identifier to a central brokerage device;
the central brokerage device operable to couple to the local call management device, to receive the telephone identifier, to identify a second enterprise network associated with the remote device using the telephone identifier, to determine connectivity information associated with the second enterprise network, to couple to a gateway associated with the first enterprise network, and to communicate the connectivity information to the gateway; and
the gateway operable to couple to the central brokerage device, to receive the connectivity information, to establish a communication link with a second gateway associated with the second enterprise network using the connectivity information, to exchange encryption information with the second gateway, and to encrypt and decrypt communications transmitted between the telephony device and the remote device using the communication link and the encryption information.

1. A barbell-supporting arrangement, comprising:
a barbell-supporting device comprising a vertical support member including a top end and a bottom end, a base arrangement disposed at the bottom end of the vertical support member when the device is in an operating position, and a connector disposed at the top end of the vertical support member when the device is in an operating position, the connector being adapted to be connected to a barbell.
2. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 1, wherein the connector is removably connected to the top end of the vertical support.
3. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 2, wherein the connector is adapted to be connected to the bar by a ring that extends at least partially around the bar.
4. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 3, wherein the connector is slidable relative to the bar.
5. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 3, wherein the ring comprises at least two parts, the at least two parts being attachable to one another around the bar.
6. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 1, wherein the connector is slidable relative to the bar.
7. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 1, wherein the connector is rotatable relative to the bar.
8. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 1, wherein the base arrangement comprises a plurality of leg arrangements, each leg arrangement comprising a leg having a first end attached to the vertical support member and a second end adapted to contact a floor.
9. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 8, wherein at least one leg arrangement of the plurality of leg arrangements comprises a leg that is pivotable relative to the vertical support member.
10. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 9, wherein the at least one leg arrangement comprises a brace member pivotably connected at a first end to the vertical support member and pivotably connected at a second end to the leg of the at least one leg arrangement.
11. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 10, wherein the brace member is pivotably connected to the vertical support member by a sleeve that is slidable relative to at least one of the brace member and the vertical support member.
12. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 11, wherein the leg of the at least one leg arrangement is pivotably connected to the vertical support member by a sleeve that is slidable relative to at least one of the leg of the at least one leg arrangement and the vertical support member.
13. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 8, wherein each leg arrangement of the plurality of leg arrangements comprises a leg that is pivotable relative to the vertical support member.
14. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 13, wherein the base arrangement comprises support structures extending between second ends of legs of the plurality of leg arrangements.
15. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 14, wherein the support structures comprise cables.
16. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 1, wherein the vertical support member comprises a first member and at least one removable extension member adapted to be disposed between the first member and the connector.
17. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 16, wherein the connector is attachable to a top end of the first member and a top end of the extension member.
18. The barbell-supporting arrangement as set forth in claim 1, comprising a barbell comprising a bar and a plurality of weights removably mountable on the bar, and a pair of barbell-supporting devices adapted to be attached proximate opposite ends of the bar.
19. An exercise station, comprising:
a weight bench for performing bench exercises during which a barbell is moved between an up and a down position;
a barbell comprising a bar and a plurality of weights removably mountable on the bar; and
a pair of barbell-supporting devices adapted to be attached proximate opposite ends of the bar, each device comprising a vertical support member including a top end and a bottom end, a base arrangement disposed at the bottom end of the vertical support member when the device is in an operating position, and a connector disposed at the top end of the vertical support member when the device is in an operating position, the connector being adapted to be connected to the bar and being adapted to support the barbell relative to the bench in a down position.
20. A weight-supporting arrangement, comprising:
a weight-supporting device comprising a vertical support member including a top end and a bottom end, a base arrangement disposed at the bottom end of the vertical support member when the device is in an operating position, and a connector disposed at the top end of the vertical support member when the device is in an operating position, the connector being adapted to be removably connected to a weight.
