1. A rear aperture sight for use in conjunction with a front sight post sight on a rifle, the front sight post having a horizontal top edge and vertical side edges, said rear aperture sight comprising:
a rear sight adapted to be mounted on the rifle,
said rear sight having a horizontally elongated aperture formed therein having height and width dimensions, said width dimension being greater than said height dimension,
said height dimension being of such a value that said aperture is adapted to cause the horizontal top edge of the front sight post and a horizontal edge of a target to be sharply focused,
said width dimension being of such a value that said aperture is adapted to permit a sufficient amount of light to pass therethrough so that the front sight post and the target are bright.
2. The sight of claim 1 wherein said width dimension is in a range of about 110% to about 500% of said height dimension.
3. The sight of claim 1 wherein said width dimension is in a range of about 120% to about 300% of said height dimension.
4. The sight of claim 1 wherein said width dimension is in a range of about 140% to about 160% of said height dimension.
5. The sight of claim 1 wherein said height dimension is in a range of about 0.010 inch to about 0.100 inch.
6. The sight of claim 1 wherein said width dimension is in a range of about 0.011 inch to about 0.20 inch.
7. The sight of claim 1 wherein said aperture is rectangular shaped.
8. The sight of claim 1 wherein said aperture is rectangular shaped with radiused corners.
9. The sight of claim 1 wherein said aperture is oval shaped.
10. The sight of claim 1 wherein said aperture is hexagonal shaped, with vertices positioned at 3 o’clock and at 9 o’clock.
11. The sight of claim 1 wherein said aperture is elliptical shaped.
12. A rifle having a receiver and a barrel, said rifle comprising:
a front sight post mounted on said barrel of said rifle, said front sight post having a horizontal top edge and vertical side edges,
a rear sight mounted on said receiver of said rifle,
said rear sight having a horizontally elongated aperture formed therein having height and width dimensions, said width dimension being greater than said height dimension,
said height dimension being of such a value that said aperture causes said horizontal top edge of said front sight post and a horizontal edge of a target to be sharply focused,
said width dimension being of such a value that said aperture permits a sufficient amount of light to pass therethrough so that said front sight post and the target are bright.
13. The rifle of claim 12 wherein said width dimension is in a range of about 110% to about 500% of said height dimension.
14. The rifle of claim 12 wherein said width dimension is in a range of about 120% to about 300% of said height dimension.
15. The rifle of claim 12 wherein said width dimension is in a range of about 140% to about 160% of said height dimension.
16. The rifle of claim 12 wherein said height dimension is in a range of about 0.010 inch to about 0.100 inch.
17. The rifle of claim 12 wherein said width dimension is in a range of about 0.011 inch to about 0.20 inch.
18. The rifle of claim 12 wherein said aperture is rectangular shaped.
19. The rifle of claim 12 wherein said aperture is rectangular shaped with radiused corners.
20. The rifle of claim 12 wherein said aperture is oval shaped.
21. The rifle of claim 12 wherein said aperture is hexagonal shaped, with vertices positioned at 3 o’clock and at 9 o’clock.
22. The rifle of claim 11 wherein said aperture is elliptical shaped.
23. A combination rear aperture sight and front sight post sight for use on a rifle, said combination comprising:
a front sight post adapted to be mounted on a barrel of the rifle, said front sight post having a horizontal top edge and vertical side edges,
a rear sight adapted to be mounted on the rifle,
said rear sight having a horizontally elongated aperture formed therein having height and width dimensions, said width dimension being greater than said height dimension,
said height dimension being of such a value that said aperture causes said horizontal top edge of said front sight post and a horizontal edge of a target to be sharply focused,
said width dimension being of such a value that said aperture permits a sufficient amount of light to pass therethrough so that said front sight post and the target are bright.
24. The combination of claim 23 wherein said width dimension is in a range of about 110% to about 500% of said height dimension.
25. The combination of claim 23 wherein said width dimension is in a range of about 120% to about 300% of said height dimension.
26. The combination of claim 23 wherein said width dimension is in a range of about 140% to about 160% of said height dimension.
27. The combination of claim 23 wherein said height dimension is in a range of about 0.010 inch to about 0.100 inch.
28. The combination of claim 23 wherein said width dimension is in a range of about 0.011 inch to about 0.20 inch.
29. The combination of claim 23 wherein said aperture is rectangular shaped.
30. The combination of claim 23 wherein said aperture is rectangular shaped with radiused corners.

What is claimed is:

1. A module-type connector comprising:
a plurality of connectors which have a plurality of contacts having contacting portions contacting with a corresponding terminal and a housing which holds said plurality of contacts; and
a rigid supporting plate on which each of said connectors is fixed.
2. The module-type connector according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of contacts are serially arranged in a lengthwise direction of the contacts and are fixed on said rigid supporting plate.
3. The module-type connector according to claim 1, comprises a plurality of the rigid supporting plates which fix the plurality of connectors by interposing each of the plurality of connectors therebetween.
4. The module-type connector according to claim 3, wherein each of said connectors has a fastener defining position of said plurality of connectors with respect to said rigid supporting plates by fastening said rigid supporting plate with the plurality of connectors.
5. The module-type connector according to claim 3, wherein at least one of said plurality of connectors has a protruding portion at an end in the lengthwise direction;
wherein at least another one of said plurality of connectors has a recess portion at an end in the lengthwise direction;
wherein the plurality of connectors are fixed by interposing a fitting portion, where said protruding portion and said recess portion are fitted to each other, between the plurality of rigid supporting plates and by said fastener penetrating the rigid supporting plate and the fitting portion and fastening the rigid supporting plate and the fitting portion.
6. The module-type connector according to claim 1, wherein the rigid supporting plate has a groove or opening in a predetermined position and the plurality of connectors have protrusions and wherein the position of the plurality of connectors with respect to the rigid supporting plate is defined by fitting the protrusion to the groove or the opening.
7. The module-type connector according to claim 1, wherein the rigid supporting plate has a form of box, and wherein the position of the plurality of connectors with respect to the rigid supporting plate is defined by having the plurality of connectors received therein.
8. A connector having a plurality of contacts, each of which has a contacting portion contacting with a corresponding terminal and a first end portion,
wherein the contacting portions of the plurality of contacts are shifted in the insertion direction of the corresponding terminals.
9. The connector according to claim 8, wherein each contact has a second end portion that is provided in the opposing side of the first end portion and a second contacting portion that is provided in the side of the second end portion, and wherein the second contacting portions of the plurality of contacts are shifted in the insertion direction of the corresponding terminal.
10. The connector according to claim 9, wherein the plurality of second end portions are shifted in the insertion direction of the corresponding terminals, and
wherein the difference in the insertion direction between the level of the first end portion of a predetermined contact and the level of the first end portion of the contact adjacent to the predetermined contact is substantially the same as the difference between the level of the second end portion of the predetermined contact and the level of the second end portion of the contact adjacent to the predetermined contact in the insertion direction.
11. The connector according to claim 8, wherein the plurality of contacts are disposed so as to oppose one another, and
wherein the connector further has a housing having an engagement portion that engages the first end portion of each of the contacts in the different position with respect to the insertion direction of the corresponding terminal in order to widen the gap between the contacting portions of the plurality of contacts which oppose one another.
12. A connector having a plurality of contacts having contacting portions contacting with corresponding terminals and being opposed to each other,
said connector having housing having an engagement portion which engages with an end portion of each said contact in order to widen the gap between the contacting portions of the plurality of opposing contacts.
13. The connector according to claim 12, wherein the contacting portions of the plurality of contacts are shifted in the insertion direction of the corresponding terminals.
14. A connector comprising a plurality of contacts having contacting portions contacting with corresponding terminals and a supporting member supporting the plurality of contacts,
the connector further comprises a protruding portion that is provided between a predetermined contact of the plurality of contacts and the contact adjacent to the predetermined contact and that protrudes from contacting surface of the plurality of contacts and the corresponding terminals.
15. The connector according to claim 14, wherein the protruding portion is made of the same material as the housing holding the corresponding terminal or is made of material which is softer than the housing.
16. The connector according to claim 14, wherein the protruding portion is integrally formed with the supporting member.
17. The connector according to claim 14, wherein the gap between the plurality of contacts and the supporting member exists in the cross-sectional view of the perpendicular direction to the arranging direction of the plurality of contacts.
18. The connector according to claim 14, wherein the plurality of contacts are arranged back to back each other at both sides of the supporting member and
wherein each of the contacts bends toward the supporting member as it goes along the insertion direction of the connector.
19. A connector comprising a plurality of contacts having contacting portions contacting with corresponding terminals and a supporting member supporting the plurality of contacts,
the connector further comprises a protruding portion that is provided between a predetermined contact of the plurality of contacts and the contact adjacent to the predetermined contact and that protrudes from contacting surface of the plurality of contacts and the corresponding terminal, and
wherein a gap exists between the plurality of contacts and the supporting member, the gap exists from an end to the other end of the width direction of the plurality of contacts.
20. The connector according to claim 19, wherein the plurality of contacts are arranged back to back each other at both sides of the supporting member and wherein each of the contacts bends toward the supporting members as it goes along the insertion direction of the connector.
