What is claimed is:
1. A method of adjusting a height of a head chip, which is attached to one end portion of a base plate to constitute a magnetic head, with respect to a reference plane of the base plate, comprising the steps of:
placing a face of the base plate which is to be the reference plane onto a first plane face of a die member; and
punching a punch member onto a predetermined portion of the base plate toward a diagonal direction with respect to the reference plane such that a portion of the base member on which the head chip is attached is shearing-deformed by a predetermined amount in the punching direction.
2. The adjusting method as set forth in claim 1, wherein the predetermined amount is set within a plastic deformable range of the base plate.
3. The adjusting method as set forth in claim 1, wherein the die member is provided with a second plane face extending orthogonally to the first plane face; and
wherein the second plane face, the predetermined portion of the base plate and a shearing blade face of the punch member are arranged on an identical line.
4. The adjusting method as set forth in claim 1, wherein the deforming direction of the base plate is parallel with a sliding face of the head chip, which is to be slid on a recording medium.
The claims below are in addition to those above.
All refrences to claim(s) which appear below refer to the numbering after this setence.
1. A method for automatically adjusting output content responsive to one or more vehicle conditions, the method comprising:
receiving at a processor content for output;
determining at the processor if a vehicle emergency condition exists based on information received from a braking system, including information comprising an indication that an anti-braking system is activated;
stopping the output of the received content if it is determined that a vehicle emergency exists;
determining at the processor a vehicle condition, if it is determined that a vehicle emergency condition does not exist;
changing a display format of the content for output and the amount of content for output based on the determined vehicle condition, wherein changing the display format of the content for output and the amount of content for output includes,
determining the display format based on the determined vehicle condition; and
outputting at least a portion of the received output content based on the determined display format, wherein the content for output includes map detail information and wherein the amount of content for output displayed decreases as the determined vehicle condition progresses.
2. A non-transitory computer program product including executable steps on a storage medium for automatically adjusting output content, wherein execution of the program by a processor of a computer system causes the processor to carry out the executable steps of:
