1. A dispensing closure for a container, the dispensing closure comprising:
a cap adapted to be received on the container and having an area defining an interface between the cap and the container, the cap having an inside face and an outside face, the cap also having a first aperture extending from the inside face to the outside face through the cap to allow materials within the container to be dispensed and a second aperture extending from the inside face to the outside face through the cap positioned adjacent the interface between the cap and the container to allow moisture entering the interface between the cap and the container to drain from the cap to outside of the container;
a first movable member positioned adjacent the inside face of the cap to selectively block the first aperture in the cap, the first movable member being movable between a first position in which the first aperture is blocked and a second position in which the first aperture is not blocked; and
a second movable member positioned adjacent the outside face of the cap to selectively block the first aperture in the cap, the second moveable member being movable between a first position in which the first aperture is blocked and a second position in which the first aperture is not blocked, movement of the first moveable member and the second moveable member being sequenced such that at least one of the moveable members is always blocking the first aperture.
2. The dispensing closure of claim 1, further comprising a baffle plate positioned between the cap and the first movable member, the baffle plate having a shoulder adapted to engage the container adjacent the interface between the container and the cap and direct moisture entering along the interface away from the contents of the container and toward the second aperture in the cap.
3. The dispensing closure of claim 2, wherein the shoulder has an apex that engages the container and a sloping portion positioned adjacent the apex and extending radially outward from the apex to direct moisture.
4. The dispensing closure of claim 3, wherein the sloping portion of the baffle plate and the adjacent area of the cap along the interface defines a passageway to direct moisture toward the second aperture.
5. The dispensing closure of claim 4, further comprising a ridge extending around the cap and intersecting the second aperture, wherein the ridge at least partially supports the baffle plate and further defines the passageway.
6. The dispensing closure of claim 2, wherein the cap and the baffle plate have a substantially concave shape relative to the container.
7. The dispensing closure of claim 1, wherein the movable members rotate between the first and second position.
8. The dispensing closure of claim 7, wherein the first movable member has a first passage defined in the first movable member and the second movable member has a second passage defined in the second movable member, wherein rotation of the first and second movable members selectively and sequentially place the first and second passages in communication with the first aperture.
9. The dispensing closure of claim 8, wherein the first passage is rotatably offset relative to the second passage.
10. A dispensing closure for a container, the dispensing closure comprising:
a cap adapted to be received on the container, the cap having an inside face, an outside face, and an aperture extending from the inside face to the outside face through the cap to allow materials within the container to be dispensed;
a first movable member positioned adjacent the inside face of the cap to selectively block the aperture in the cap, the first movable member being movable between a first position in which the aperture is blocked and a second position in which the aperture is not blocked; and
a second movable member positioned adjacent the outside face of the cap to selectively block the aperture in the cap, the second moveable member being movable between a first position in which the aperture is blocked and a second position in which the aperture is not blocked, the second movable member comprising an edge that contacts and passes over the aperture in the cap when the second movable member moves from the second position back to the first position, the edge comprising a generally angled surface terminating at a point defining an acute angle and including a concave portion, movement of the edge over the aperture removing a dispensed material coupled to an outer surface of the cap adjacent the aperture, wherein the second movable member has a body substantially defining a planar surface and the point of the edge is biased to extend out of the plane and toward the cap;
wherein the movement of the first moveable member and the second moveable member is sequenced such that at least one of the moveable members is always blocking the aperture.
11. The dispensing closure of claim 10, wherein the movable members rotate between the first and second position.
12. The dispensing closure of claim 11, wherein the first movable member has a first passage defined in the first movable member and the second movable member has a second passage defined in the second movable member, wherein rotation of the first and second movable members selectively and sequentially place the first and second passages in communication with the aperture.
13. The dispensing closure of claim 12, wherein the first passage is rotatably offset relative to the second passage.
14. A dispensing closure for a container containing granular dispensable materials, the dispensing closure comprising:
a cap adapted to be received on the container, the cap having an inside face, an outside face, and an aperture extending from the inside face to the outside face through the cap to allow materials within the container to be dispensed, the outside face of the cap having a generally planar configuration adjacent the aperture, the outside face of the cap also having a ramped surface beginning at and extending out of the generally planar configuration, wherein the ramped surface intersects the aperture;
a first movable member positioned adjacent the inside face of the cap to selectively block the aperture in the cap, the first movable member being movable between a first position in which the aperture is blocked and a second position in which the aperture is not blocked; and
a second movable member positioned adjacent the outside face of the cap to selectively block the aperture in the cap, the second movable member including an edge and being movable between a first position in which the aperture is blocked and a second position in which the aperture is not blocked, movement of the first movable member and the second movable member is sequenced such that at least one of the movable members is always blocking the aperture, wherein the edge contacts and passes over the ramped surface and the aperture in the cap when the second movable member moves from the second position back to the first position, the edge comprising a generally angled surface terminating at a point defining an acute angle, wherein contact between the edge and the cap increases as the edge moves along the ramped surface of the cap.
15. The dispensing closure of claim 14, wherein the first movable member and the second movable member rotate between the first and second position.
16. The dispensing closure of claim 15, wherein the first movable member has a first passage defined in the first movable member and the second movable member has a second passage defined in the second movable member, wherein rotation of the first and second movable members selectively and sequentially place the first and second passages in communication with the aperture.
17. The dispensing closure of claim 16, wherein the first passage is rotatably offset relative to the second passage.
18. The dispensing closure of claim 14, wherein the second movable member has a substantially planar configuration to match the substantially planar configuration of the outer face of the cap adjacent the aperture.
19. An assembly for dispensing a powder or granulated product having greater than 40% caustic material, the dispensing assembly comprising:
a distributable container having an opening and containing the powder or granulated product having greater than 40% caustic material;
a closure coupled to the distributable container, the closure configured to prevent moisture from entering the container and contacting the powder or granulated product having greater than 40% caustic material, the closure comprising
a cap adapted to be received on the container and having an area defining an interface between the cap and the container, the cap having an inside face and an outside face, the cap also having a first aperture extending from the inside face to the outside face through the cap to allow materials within the container to be dispensed and a second aperture extending from the inside face to the outside face through the cap positioned adjacent the interface between the cap and the container to allow moisture entering the interface between the cap and the container to drain from the cap to outside of the container;
a first rotor coupled to the inside of the cap and positioned to rotate about the central axis of the cap, the first rotor being rotatable between a position in which it blocks the first aperture of the cap and a position in which it does not block the first aperture of the cap; and
a second rotor coupled to the outside of the cap and positioned to rotate about the central axis of the cap, the second rotor being rotatable between a position in which it blocks the first aperture in the cap and a position in which it does not block the first aperture of the cap;
wherein the rotation of the first rotor and the second rotor is sequenced such that at least one of the rotors always blocks the first aperture in the cap to prevent moisture from entering the container and contacting the powder or granulated product having greater than 40% caustic material;
a dispenser fixed at a dispensing location adapted to receive the closure of the container and selectively operate the closure to dispense the powder or granulated product having greater than 40% caustic material;
a power source operatively coupled to the dispenser and adapted to rotate the rotors relative to the cap when the closure is mated to the dispenser to thereby rotate the first rotor between the first position and the second position of the first rotor and thereby rotate the second rotor between the first position and the second position of the second rotor to allow for dispensing of the powder or granulated product having greater than 40% caustic material from the distributable container to the dispenser.

What is claimed is:

1. A display driver for driving a display section based on display data, the display driver comprising:
a data input terminal for inputting data in which display data and command data is time-division multiplexed within one horizontal scan period;
a command identification signal input terminal for inputting a command identification signal for identifying command data;
a latch which fetches command data specified by the command identification signal;
a decoder which decodes command data fetched into the latch; and
a control section which outputs a control signal corresponding to a decoding result of the decoder,
wherein the display section is driven based on the control signal and display data included within the input data.
2. A display driver for driving a display section based on display data, the display driver comprising:
a latch which fetches input data in synchronization with a rise of a latch pulse, the input data being formed by time-division multiplexing display data and command data within one horizontal scan period, the command data being formed of a plurality of words and the horizontal scan period being specified by the period of the latch pulse;
a decoder which decodes command data positioned at a previously determined word position within the input data fetched into the latch; and
a control section which outputs a control signal corresponding to a decoding result of the decoder,
wherein the display section is driven based on the control signal and display data included within the input data.
3. The display driver as defined by claim 2,
wherein the latch comprises a shift register having first to P-th flip-flops (where P is an integer more than one), the flip-flops holding data in word units,
wherein an output of the p-th flip-flop (where p is an integer such that 1pP1) is connected to an input of the (p1)th flip-flop, and the shift register shifts the input data in synchronization with a given shift clock, the input data that has been input to the first flip-flop, and
wherein the decoder decodes the data that is held in the q-th flip-flop (where q is an integer such that 1qP) as the command data positioned at the previously determined word position, in synchronization with the rise of the latch pulse.
4. The display driver as defined by claim 3,
wherein the decoder comprises:
an execution command decoder which decodes data in an execution command data portion which is a part of the data held in the q-th flip-flop; and
an ordinary command decoder which decodes data held in at least one flip-flop of the first to P-th flip-flops, excluding the q-th flip-flop, when the data of the execution command data portion has been determined to be a given execution command, based on a decoding result of the execution command decoder, and
wherein the control section outputs a control signal corresponding to a decoding result of the ordinary command decoder.
5. The display driver as defined by claim 4,
wherein the ordinary command decoder decodes data that is held in at least one of flip-flops for a number of words among the first to P-th flip-flops excluding the q-th flip-flop, the number of words being specified by data of a reference number data portion of data held in the q-th flip-flop, when the data of the command data portion has been determined to be a given execution command, based on the decoding result of the execution command decoder.
6. The display driver as defined by claim 3,
wherein the decoder operates in synchronization with a clock of a frequency higher than a frequency of the latch pulse.
7. The display driver as defined by claim 6,
wherein the clock of a frequency higher than the frequency of the latch pulse is the shift clock.
8. The display driver as defined by claim 1,
wherein the control section performs control based on the control signal in a next horizontal scan period following the horizontal scan period in which the data to be decoded by the decoder has been fetched.
9. The display driver as defined by claim 2,
wherein the control section performs control based on the control signal in a next horizontal scan period following the horizontal scan period in which the data to be decoded by the decoder has been fetched.
10. An electro-optical device comprising:
a display panel having a plurality of data lines, a plurality of scan lines, and a plurality of pixels, each of the pixels being specified by one of the data lines and one of the scan lines; and
the display driver as defined by claim 1 which drives the data lines of the display panel.
11. An electro-optical device comprising:
a display panel having a plurality of data lines, a plurality of scan lines, and a plurality of pixels, each of the pixels being specified by one of the data lines and one of the scan lines; and
the display driver as defined by claim 2 which drives the data lines of the display panel.
12. An electro-optical device comprising:
a plurality of data lines;
a plurality of scan lines;
a plurality of pixels, each of the pixels being specified by one of the data lines and one of the scan lines; and
the display driver as defined by claim 1 which drives the data lines.
13. An electro-optical device comprising:
a plurality of data lines;
a plurality of scan lines;
a plurality of pixels such that each pixel is specified by one of the data lines and one of the scan lines; and
the display driver as defined by claim 2 which drives the data lines.
14. A method of controlling a display driver for driving a display section based on display data, the method comprising:
fetching command data specified by a command identification signal for identifying command data from input data in which display data and command data is time-division multiplexed within one horizontal scan period;
decoding the fetched command data;
generating a control signal corresponding to a decoding result of the command data; and
driving the display section, based on the control signal and display data included within the input data.
15. A method of controlling a display driver for driving a display section based on display data, the method comprising:
fetching input data in synchronization with a rise of a latch pulse, the input data being formed by time-division multiplexing display data and command data within one horizontal scan period, the command data being formed of a plurality of words and the horizontal scan period being specified by the period of the latch pulse;
decoding command data positioned at a previously determined word position within the fetched input data;
generating a control signal corresponding to a decoding result of the command data; and
driving the display section, based on the control signal and display data included within the input data.
16. The method of controlling a display driver as defined by claim 15, further comprising:
decoding data of an execution command data portion that is a part of the command data positioned at a previously determined word position within the input data;
decoding command data positioned at another word position of the input data fetched in synchronization with a rise of the latch pulse, when it has been determined that data of the execution command data portion is a given execution command based on a decoding result of the data;
generating a control signal corresponding to a decoding result of the command data at the other word position; and
driving the display section, based on the control signal and display data included within the input data.
17. The method of controlling a display driver as defined by claim 16, further comprising:
decoding command data positioned at a word position based on data of a reference number data portion within data of the execution command data portion, when it has been determined that the data is a given execution command based on the decoding result of the data;
generating a control signal corresponding to the decoding result of the command data positioned at the word position, based on the data of the reference number data portion; and
driving the display section, based on the control signal and display data included within the input data.

1. A remote control apparatus comprising:
a first operation unit comprising:
a first key part which is provided on one surface of the remote control apparatus and which has a plurality of keys operable in a first mode,
a first control unit which generates a key signal corresponding to a key input through the first key part, and
a first transmission unit which transmits the generated key signal to an image apparatus; and

a second operation unit comprising:
a second key part which is provided on another surface of the remote control apparatus and which has a plurality of keys operable in a second mode,
a second control unit which generates a key signal corresponding to a key input through the second key part,
a display unit which is provided on said another surface of the remote control along with the second key part and which displays characters that are input through the second key part, and
a second transmission unit which transmits the generated key signal to the image apparatus,

wherein the display unit displays the characters, which are same as characters displayed on the image apparatus during input of the characters via the second key part.
2. The remote control apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising at least one battery to supply drive power to the first operating unit and the second operating unit,
wherein the first control unit controls power of the at least one battery so that the power is supplied to the second control unit.
3. The remote control apparatus according to claim 2, further comprising a direction detection unit which detects a direction of at least one operation unit among the first operation unit and the second operation unit,
wherein the first control unit judges which operation unit is located upward based on a detection signal from the direction detection unit, and
wherein if the second operation unit is located upward, the first control unit controls the power to be supplied to the second control unit.
4. The remote control apparatus according to claim 3, wherein the direction detection unit is one of an acceleration sensor and a gyro sensor.
5. The remote control apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a body provided with a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface,
wherein the first operation unit is provided on the first surface of the body, the second operation unit is provided on the second surface of the body, and one side of the first operation unit and one side of the second operation unit contact each other.
6. The remote control apparatus according to claim 5, wherein the side of the first operation unit and the side of the second operation unit contacting each other form a predetermined angle.
7. The remote control apparatus according to claim 1, wherein:
the first transmission unit executes infrared communication; and
the second transmission unit executes one of Bluetooth communication and radio frequency communication.
8. The remote control apparatus according to claim 1, wherein each of the first transmission unit and the second transmission unit executes one of infrared communication, Bluetooth communication and radio frequency communication.
9. The remote control apparatus according to claim 1, wherein:
the first operation unit further comprises a first input unit to receive the key signal from the first key part and to transmit the received key signal to the first control unit; and
the second operation unit further comprises a second input unit to receive the key signal from the second key part and to transmit the received key signal to the second control unit.
10. The remote control apparatus according to claim 9, further comprising:
a first printed circuit board on which the first input unit, the first control unit and the first transmission unit are provided;
a second printed circuit board on which the second input unit, the second control unit and the second transmission unit are provided;
a body on which the first printed circuit board and the second printed circuit board are respectively mounted and which is provided with a guide member;
a tray on which at least two batteries to supply power to the first printed circuit board and the second printed circuit board are mounted and which slides along the guide member of the body; and
a cover which opens and closes a hole through which the tray is extracted from and retracted into the body.
11. The remote control apparatus according to claim 10, further comprising a locking member which locks the tray or which releases locking of the tray.
12. The remote control apparatus according to claim 11, wherein the locking member comprises an elastic bias.
13. The remote control apparatus according to claim 11, wherein:
the tray is provided with an extension part extended from one side surface thereof; and
the locking member is provided with a hanging part seated on the extension part.
14. The remote control apparatus according to claim 10, further comprising elastic members to assist extraction of the tray from the body.
15. The remote control apparatus according to claim 14, wherein:
the tray comprises a first conductive member electrically connected to cathodes of the at least two batteries and a second conductive member electrically connected to anodes of the at least two batteries; and
the first conductive member and the second conductive member are connected to the first printed circuit board.
16. The remote control apparatus according to claim 15, wherein the elastic members comprise:
a first spring connected to the second conductive member of the tray; and
a second spring connected to the first conductive member of the tray.
17. The remote control apparatus according to claim 10, wherein:
the at least two batteries comprise a first battery, a second battery, a third battery, and a fourth battery;
the first battery and the second battery are connected in series to form one pair;
the third battery and the fourth battery are connected in series to form another pair; and
the pair comprising the first and second batteries is connected to the pair comprising the third and fourth batteries in parallel.
18. The remote control apparatus according to claim 17, wherein the tray comprises:
a first conductive member which electrically connects a cathode of the first battery and a cathode of the third battery; and
a second conductive member which electrically connects an anode of the second battery and an anode of the fourth battery.
19. The remote control apparatus according to claim 18, wherein the tray further includes:
a third conductive member which electrically connects an anode of the first battery and a cathode of the second battery to connect the first and second batteries in series; and
a fourth conductive member which electrically connects an anode of the third battery and a cathode of the fourth battery to connect the third and fourth batteries in series.
20. The remote control apparatus according to claim 10, wherein the tray is retracted into and extracted from the body in a pushing manner.
21. The remote control apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the first mode is a mode for watching a broadcast and the second mode is a mode for using Internet.
22. The remote control apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the remote control apparatus is formed in a trigonal prism shape such that the first key part and the second key part with the display unit are on opposite outer surfaces of the trigonal prism shape.
23. The remote control apparatus of claim 1, further comprising:
a display drive unit configured to drive the display unit; and
a direction detection unit configured to detect a direction of at least one operation unit among the first operation unit and the second operation unit,
wherein the second control unit controls both the display drive unit and the second transmission unit such that both are operated based on the direction detection unit, and
wherein the first transmission unit and the second transmission unit utilize different communication protocols from each other.
24. A remote control apparatus comprising:
a first operation unit comprising:
a first key part provided on one surface of the remote control apparatus and having a plurality of keys operable in a first mode,
a first control unit which generates a key signal corresponding to a key input through the first key part, and
a first transmission unit to transmit the generated key signal to an image apparatus; and

a second operation unit comprising:
a second key part provided on another surface of the remote control apparatus, where the second key part is different from the first key part and has a plurality of keys operable in a second mode,
a second control unit which generates a key signal corresponding to a key input through the second key part, and
a second transmission unit which transmits the generated key signal to the image apparatus through a communication which is different from the communication of the first transmission unit,

a body on which the first key part and the second key part are provided;
at least two batteries to supply drive power to the first operating unit and the second operating unit;
a tray which accommodates at least two batteries and slides in the body;
a cover which opens and closes a hole of the body through which the tray is extracted from and retracted into the body;
an extension part which is extended from one side surface of the tray; and
a locking member provided with a hanging part seated on the extension part,
wherein the hanging part is separated from the extension part as the cover slides upon retraction of the tray.
25. The remote control apparatus according to claim 24, further comprising:
a body;
a first radiation surface mounted on one surface of the body to radiate the signal of the first transmission unit; and
a second radiation surface mounted on another surface of the body to radiate the signal of the second transmission unit.
26. The remote control apparatus according to claim 24, wherein:
each of the first operation unit and the second operation unit comprises a bending part formed by partially bending one side thereof; and
the remote control apparatus further comprises a non-radiation surface being opposite to the second radiation surface and formed by contact between the bending part of the first operation unit and the bending part of the second operation unit.
27. The remote control apparatus according to claim 26, wherein the second radiation surface and the non-radiation surface have different thicknesses.
28. The remote control apparatus according to claim 24, wherein the first key part is provided in a vertical direction, and the second key part is provided in a horizontal direction.
29. The remote control apparatus according to claim 28, wherein the first radiation surface is provided at an upper portion of the first key part and the second radiation surface is provided at an upper portion of the second key part.
30. The remote control apparatus according to claim 24, wherein:
the first transmission unit executes infrared communication; and
the second transmission unit executes one of Bluetooth communication and radio frequency communication.
31. The remote control apparatus according to claim 24, further comprising a display unit which displays a character of the key input through the second key part, and the character displayed on the display unit is same as a character displayed on the image apparatus.
32. The remote control apparatus according to claim 24, further comprising:
a direction detection unit which detects a direction of at least one operation unit among the first operation unit and the second operation unit,
wherein if the first operation unit is located upward, the remote control apparatus operates in the first mode,
wherein if the second operation unit is located upward, the remote control apparatus operates in the second mode.
33. The remote control apparatus according to claim 32, further comprising a body on which the first operation unit and the second operation unit is mounted, wherein the direction detection unit is mounted in the first operation unit.
34. The remote control apparatus according to claim 32, further comprising a body on which the first operation unit and the second operation unit is mounted, wherein the direction detection unit is mounted outside of the first operation unit and the second operation unit.
35. The remote control apparatus according to claim 24, wherein the first key part provides functionality different from the second key part.
36. The remote control apparatus of claim 1, wherein the display unit is provided on said another surface of the remote control and is operational only when power is supplied to the second operation unit and is turned off when power is supplied to the first operation unit.

The remote control apparatus of claim 24, wherein the first operation unit is position on a first printed circuit board and the second operation unit is positioned on the second printed circuit board, wherein the remote control apparatus further comprises a sensor which detects one of the first operation unit and the second operation unit being placed in an upward direction and a switch, which is driven by a command transmitted from the sensor based on said detection and which supplies power from a power source to one of the first printed circuit board and the second printed circuit board based on the command.

The remote control apparatus according to claim 24, wherein the first transmission unit and the second transmission unit are installed on opposite surfaces from each other based on a gripping direction and key manipulating direction, wherein the remote control apparatus has a trigonal prism-shaped external appearance corresponding to gripping of the remote control, and wherein the first transmission unit transmits a key signal for watching a broadcast on a television via infrared rays communication protocol and the second transmission unit transmits a key signal for Internet via a radio frequency communication protocol.

A method of preparing an aqueous solution comprising at least 45 wt % of the sodium salt xNa+yH+ of the chelating compound of formula I wherein x=2.1\u22122.7, y=0.9\u22120.3, and x+y=3 from the trisodium salt of N-(2-hydroxyethyl)ethylene-diamine-N,N\u2032,N\u2032-triacetic acid (Na3-HEDTA), comprising the step of electrdialysing at 20\xb0 C. an aqueous solution containing at least 42 wt % of Na3-HEDTA, or at a different temperature at maximally the concentration whereby the viscosity is the same or lower than the viscosity of 42 wt % Na3-HEDTA solution at 20\xb0 C., using a bipolar and a cation membrane, thereby converting the Na3-HEDTA solution to the solution of the sodium salt xNa+yH+ of the chelating compound of formula I wherein x=2.1\u22122.7, y=0.9\u22120.3, and x+y=3.
6. The method according to claim 5 wherein a caustic electrolyte is used.
7. A container comprising at least 0.5 kg of an aqueous solution according to claim 2.
8. A method for preparing an iron-chelate complex, comprising: contacting the aqueous solution according to claim 2 with an iron-containing material.
