We claim:

1. A method of stabilizing an enteric coated anti-ulcer composition, which comprises:
(a) homogeneously admixing an effective amount of a 2-(2-pyridyl)methylsulphinyl-benzimidazole compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof having a gastric acid secretion inhibitory property with a basic inorganic salt stabilizing agent;
(b) granulating the mixture; and
(c) enteric coating the granules.
2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the basic inorganic salt stabilizing agent is a basic inorganic salt of magnesium or calcium which is effective to stabilize the composition.
3. The method according to claim 1, wherein the basic inorganic salt stabilizing agent is a basic inorganic salt of magnesium which is effective to stabilize the composition.
4. The method according to claim 1, wherein the basic inorganic salt stabilizing agent is a basic inorganic salt of calcium which is effective to stabilize the composition.
5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the basic inorganic salt stabilizing agent is a basic inorganic salt of potassium which is effective to stabilize the composition.
6. The method according to claim 1, wherein the basic inorganic salt stabilizing agent is a basic inorganic salt of sodium which is effective to stabilize the composition.
7. The method according to claim 1, wherein the compound is 2-3-methyl-4-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy-2-pyridyl)methylsulfinylbenzimidazole.

1. A starter alternator accessory drive system for a hybrid vehicle comprising:
an engine;
a crank pulley operatively connected to the engine;
an accessory drive input pulley operatively connected to the crank pulley;
an accessory;
an accessory drive output pulley operatively connected to the accessory;
a planetary gear set disposed between the accessory drive input pulley and the accessory drive output pulley to transfer output from the engine to the accessory;
a first motorgenerator operatively connected to the planetary gear set; and
a second motorgenerator operatively connected to the planetary gear set;
wherein the first and second motorgenerators are controllable to power the accessory via the planetary gear set at a selectable rate independent of engine speed, and to re-start the engine while simultaneously powering the accessory.
2. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 1, further comprising at least one belt or chain operatively connecting said accessory drive input pulley to said crank pulley.
3. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 1, further comprising a battery configured to transfer power to and receive power from the first and second motorgenerators.
4. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 1, further comprising a controller operatively connected to the engine, the first motorgenerator and the second motorgenerator, said controller configured to calculate required speed and output torque values for the first and second motorgenerators in order to control the speed at which the accessory is run.
5. A starter alternator accessory drive system for a hybrid vehicle comprising:
a planetary gear set having a first, second, and third planetary member, wherein the first planetary member is operatively connected to an accessory drive input pulley, and the third planetary member is operatively connected to an accessory drive output pulley;
an engine operatively connected to the accessory drive input pulley;
a first motorgenerator operatively connected to the second planetary member;
a second motorgenerator operatively connected to the accessory drive output pulley; and
a plurality of accessories operatively connected to the accessory drive output pulley;
wherein engine output is transferable through the planetary gear set to drive the plurality of accessories at a selectable rate, and the first and second motorgenerators are controllable to run the plurality of accessories while the engine is off and to re-start the engine.
6. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 5, wherein the first planetary member is a ring gear member, the second planetary member is a sun gear member, and the third planetary member is a planet carrier member.
7. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 5, wherein the first planetary member is a sun gear member, the second planetary member is a planet carrier member, and the third planetary member is a ring gear member.
8. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 5, wherein the first planetary member is a ring gear member, the second planetary member is a planet carrier member, and the third planetary member is a sun gear member.
9. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 5, wherein the first planetary member is a planet carrier member, the second planetary member is a ring gear member, and the third planetary member is a sun gear member.
10. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 5, wherein the first planetary member is a planet carrier member, the second planetary member is a sun gear member, and the third planetary member is a ring gear member.
11. The staffer alternator accessory drive system of claim 5, wherein the first planetary member is a sun gear member, the second planetary member is a ring gear member, and the third planetary member is a planet carrier member.
12. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 5, further comprising a gear assembly operatively connecting the first motorgenerator to the second planetary member.
13. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 5, further comprising a belt operatively connecting the first motorgenerator to the second planetary member.
14. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 5, further comprising a chain operatively connecting the first motorgenerator to the second planetary member.
15. A starter alternator accessory drive system for a hybrid vehicle comprising:
a planetary gear set having a first, second, and third planetary member;
one of plurality of pulleys connected by a belt member and a plurality of sprockets connected by a chain member operatively connecting an engine with the first planetary member;
a first motorgenerator operatively connected to the second planetary member;
one of a plurality of pulleys connected by a belt member and a plurality of sprockets connected by a chain member operatively connecting a plurality of accessories to the third planetary member; and
a second motorgenerator operatively connected to the third planetary member;
wherein engine output is transferable through the planetary gear set to drive the plurality of accessories at a selectable rate, and the first and second motorgenerators are controllable to run the plurality of accessories while the engine is off and to re-start the engine.
16. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 15, further comprising a belt operatively connecting the first motorgenerator to the second planetary member.
17. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 15, further comprising a chain operatively connecting the first motorgenerator to the second planetary member.
18. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 15, further comprising a gear assembly operatively connecting one of the first and second motorgenerators to the planetary gear set.
19. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 15, wherein the planetary gear set includes a single-pinion carrier.
20. The starter alternator accessory drive system of claim 15, wherein the planetary gear set includes a double-pinion carrier.

2. The user interface as in claim 1, comprising an indication of a sum bet by a user on at least one of said plurality of lottery contests.
3. The user interface as in claim 1, comprising an indication of a present value to a user of winning at a contest of said plurality contests.
4. The user interface as in claim 1, comprising an indication of a wager placed by a user on a contest of said plurality of lottery contests.
5. The user interface as in claim 1, comprising an indication of a plurality of users who have bet on a contest of said plurality of lottery contests.
6. The user interface as in claim 1, wherein said plurality of lottery contests include contests open concurrently, wherein at least two of said plurality of lottery contests having different end times.
7. The user interface as in claim 1, comprising an indication of a plurality of contests open concurrently, wherein at least two of said plurality of contests have different minimum wager amounts.
8. The user interface as in claim 1, comprising an indication of numbers upon which bets have been placed in one of said plurality of contests.
9. A computer readable-medium, having stored thereon instructions, that when executed on a computing platform, result in
accepting data about a plurality of lottery contests;
presenting a probability of winning at least one of said plurality of lottery contests;
presenting a time remaining until a close of at least one of said plurality of lottery contests;
presenting an amount to be won in at least one of said plurality of lottery contests.
10. The computer readable-medium as in claim 9, further comprising instructions that when executed result in accepting a wager from a participant in at least one of said plurality of lottery contests.
11. The computer readable-medium as in claim 9, further comprising instructions that when executed result in storing a total wagered amount of a user on at least one of said plurality of lottery contests.
12. A method of presenting lottery data comprising:
presenting in a single view an indication of a plurality of lottery contests;
presenting in said view an indication of a probability for winning a contest of said plurality of lottery contests;
presenting in said view an indication of an amount to be won in a contest of said plurality of lottery contests; and
presenting in said view an indication of a time remaining until an end of a contest of said plurality of lottery contests.
13. The method as in claim 12, comprising presenting in said view an indication of a sum bet by a user on at least one of said plurality of lottery contests.

1. A method that enables a recipient to inform a carrier of the manner in which the recipient wants some or all of their mail delivered, said method comprises the steps of:
depositing by the sender with the carrier mail containing the recipient’s name and
physical address and a sender’s name and address;
capturing by the carrier the name and physical address of the recipient and the sender;
translating by a data center the name and physical address of the recipient into an e-mail address;
notifying by the data center to the recipient of the availability of the deposited mail;
notifying by the recipient to the data center of the manner in which the recipient wants some or all of their mail delivered;
notifying by the data center to the carrier of the manner in which the recipient wants the mail delivered; and
delivering mail by the carrier to the recipient in the manner specified by the recipient to the carrier.
2. The method claimed in claim 1, wherein the recipient notifies the carrier to deliver the mail to a specified name and address.
3. The method claimed in claim 1, wherein the recipient notifies the carrier to return the mail to the sender.
4. The method claimed in claim 1, wherein the recipient notifies the carrier to open the mail.
5. The method claimed in claim 4, further including the steps of:
informing the carrier to extract the contents of the mailpiece to the recipient; and
mailing by e-mail the information included in contents of the mailpiece to the recipient.
6. The method claimed In claim 4, further including the steps of:
informing the carrier to extract the contents of the mailpiece to one or more specified e-mail addresses; and
mailing by e-mail the information included in contents of the mailpiece to the specified e-mail addresses.
7. The method claimed in claim 4, further including the steps of:
informing the carrier to extract the contents of the mailpiece to the recipient; and sending the information contents of the mailpiece to the recipient’s personal data assistant.

reading the information contents of the mailpiece to the recipient via telephone.
9. The method claimed in claim 4, further including the steps of:
informing the carrier to send by facsimile the contents of the mailpiece to the recipient; and
mailing by facsimile the contents of the mailpiece to the recipient.
10. The method claimed in claim 4, further including the steps of:
informing the carrier to facsimile the contents of the mailpiece to one or more specified facsimile numbers; and
sending by facsimile the contents of the mailpiece to the specified facsimile numbers.
11. The method claimed in claim 1, wherein the recipient notifies the carrier to deliver the mail to the recipient at a different address.
12. The method claimed in claim 1, wherein the recipient notifies the carrier to deliver the mail to the recipient by a slower delivery method than that paid for by the sender.
13. The method claimed in claim 1, wherein the recipient notifies the carrier to deliver the mail to the recipient by a faster delivery method than that paid for by the sender.
14. The method claimed in claim 1, further including the step of:
charging the recipient for receiving notification of the availability of the deposited mail.
15. The method claimed in claim 1, further including the step of:
charging the recipient for delivering mail to the recipient In the manner specified by the recipient to the carrier.
16. The method claimed in claim 1, further including the step of:
charging the recipient for receiving notification of the availability of the deposited mail; and
charging the recipient for delivering mail to the recipient in the manner specified by the recipient to the carrier.
17. The method claimed in claim 1, further including the step of:
informing the sender of the delivery of the mail.
18. The method claimed in claim 1, wherein the recipient notifies the carrier to hold the mail for a specified period of time.
