What is claimed is:

1. A compound 8 to 80 nucleobases in length targeted to a nucleic acid molecule encoding BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005, wherein said compound specifically hybridizes with said nucleic acid molecule encoding BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005 (SEQ ID NO: 4) and inhibits the expression of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005.
2. The compound of claim 1 comprising 12 to 50 nucleobases in length.
3. The compound of claim 2 comprising 15 to 30 nucleobases in length.
4. The compound of claim 1 comprising an oligonucleotide.
5. The compound of claim 4 comprising an antisense oligonucleotide.
6. The compound of claim 4 comprising a DNA oligonucleotide.
7. The compound of claim 4 comprising an RNA oligonucleotide.
8. The compound of claim 4 comprising a chimeric oligonucleotide.
9. The compound of claim 4 wherein at least a portion of said compound hybridizes with RNA to form an oligonucleotide-RNA duplex.
10. The compound of claim 1 having at least 70% complementarity with a nucleic acid molecule encoding BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005 (SEQ ID NO: 4) said compound specifically hybridizing to and inhibiting the expression of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005.
11. The compound of claim 1 having at least 80% complementarity with a nucleic acid molecule encoding BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005 (SEQ ID NO: 4) said compound specifically hybridizing to and inhibiting the expression of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005.
12. The compound of claim 1 having at least 90% complementarity with a nucleic acid molecule encoding BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005 (SEQ ID NO: 4) said compound specifically hybridizing to and inhibiting the expression of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005.
13. The compound of claim 1 having at least 95% complementarity with a nucleic acid molecule encoding BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005 (SEQ ID NO: 4) said compound specifically hybridizing to and inhibiting the expression of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005.
14. The compound of claim 1 having at least one modified internucleoside linkage, sugar moiety, or nucleobase.
15. The compound of claim 1 having at least one 2-O-methoxyethyl sugar moiety.
16. The compound of claim 1 having at least one phosphorothioate internucleoside linkage.
17. The compound of claim 1 having at least one 5-methylcytosine.
18. A method of inhibiting the expression of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005 in cells or tissues comprising contacting said cells or tissues with the compound of claim 1 so that expression of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005 is inhibited.
19. A method of screening for a modulator of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005, the method comprising the steps of:
a. contacting a preferred target segment of a nucleic acid molecule encoding BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005 with one or more candidate modulators of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005, and
b. identifying one or more modulators of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005 expression which modulate the expression of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005.
20. The method of claim 21 wherein the modulator of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005 expression comprises an oligonucleotide, an antisense oligonucleotide, a DNA oligonucleotide, an RNA oligonucleotide, an RNA oligonucleotide having at least a portion of said RNA oligonucleotide capable of hybridizing with RNA to form an oligonucleotide-RNA duplex, or a chimeric oligonucleotide.
21. A diagnostic method for identifying a disease state comprising identifying the presence of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005 in a sample using at least one of the primers comprising SEQ ID NOs 5 or 6, or the probe comprising SEQ ID NO: 7.
22. A kit or assay device comprising the compound of claim 1.
23. A method of treating an animal having a disease or condition associated with BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005 comprising administering to said animal a therapeutically or prophylactically effective amount of the compound of claim 1 so that expression of BRCA2 region transcription unit CG005 is inhibited.
24. The method of claim 16 wherein the disease or condition is a hyperproliferative disorder.

1. A digital camera which can communicate with a printer, composing:
a display unit adapted to display a printing condition;
a discrimination unit adapted to discriminate printable sizes by a printer; and
a display control unit adapted to cause said display unit to display a list of sizes in accordance with the printable sizes discriminated by said discrimination unit so that a user selects one of sizes,
wherein said display control unit cause said display unit to display an additional option, as a member of the list, for automatically resizing the size of an image to be printed so as to correspond to a size of a print medium actually set in the printer, based on the discriminated printable sizes and the size of the print medium actually set in the printer.
2. The digital camera according to claim 1, wherein a magnification ratio for resizing the image has a limiter.
3. The digital camera according to claim 2, wherein the limiter is determined in accordance with printing resolution of the printer.
4. The digital camera according to claim 1, further comprising a selection unit adapted to select one of options in the list displayed by said display unit.
5. A method for controlling a digital camera which can directly communicate with a printer using a communication unit, comprising:
a display step of displaying a printing condition;
a discrimination step of discriminating printable sizes by a printer; and
a display control step of controlling said display step to display a list of sizes in accordance with the printable sizes discriminated in said discrimination step so that a user selects one of the printable sizes,
wherein said display step displays an additional option, as a member of the list, for automatically resizing the size of an image to be printed so as to correspond to a size of a print medium actually set in the printer, based on the discriminated printable sizes and the size of the print medium actually set in the printer.
6. The method according to claim 5, wherein a magnification ratio for resizing the image has a limit.
7. The method according to claim 6, wherein the limit is determined in accordance with printing resolution of the printer.
8. The method according to claim 5, further comprising a selection step of selecting one of options in the list displayed in said display step.
9. A computer-readable medium storing a computer program for controlling a digital camera which can communicate with a printer, comprising:
a display step of displaying a printing condition;
a discrimination step of discriminating printable sizes by a printer; and
a display control step of causing said display step to display a list of sizes in accordance with the printable sizes discriminated in said discrimination step so that a user selects one of the printable sizes,

10. A computer program stored on a computer-readable medium, the computer program controlling a digital camera which can communicate with a printer, comprising:

a display control step of causing said display step to display a list of sizes in accordance with the printable sizes discriminated in said discrimination step so that a user selects one of the printable sizes,

1. A cutting tool, comprising:
a clamping component for fastening to a tool holder, said clamping component having first and second clamping surfaces converging toward one another in a direction of one side thereof and a change in shape to a roofage in a direction of another side thereof;
a rod-shaped neck component tapered in cross section relative to said clamping component and adjoining a side of said clamping component;
a cutting component coupled to said neck component, and having a cutting edge on an outer end thereof extending in a cutting edge plane and a face adjoining said cutting edge in a direction of said neck component; and
first and second reinforcing ribs on said neck component extending transversely to said cutting edge plane and tapering and converging toward said cutting component, said reinforcing ribs being positioned diametrically opposite one another relative to said neck component and having greatest widths thereof at transition points thereof to said clamping component, each of said reinforcing ribs being formed by grinding of said neck component and having two different concave grinding patterns with different radii of curvature in a direction of said cutting component.
2. A cutting tool according to claim 1 wherein
said grinding patterns have greater radii of curvature in the direction of said cutting component than in the direction of said clamping component.
3. A cutting tool according to claim 1 wherein
said cutting component comprises a free surface positioned on a foremost end thereof in a machining direction and tilted backward from a vertical by a first angle.
4. A cutting tool according to claim 3 wherein
said first angle is 5 degrees.
5. A cutting tool according to claim 3 wherein
said free surface is tilted backward from said cutting edge by a second angle.
6. A cutting tool according to claim 5 wherein
said second angle is 8 degrees.

a coolant feed channel extends parallel to a machining direction in an area of said clamping component bounded by said clamping surfaces.

said neck component recedes farther into said clamping component as said neck component transitions into said clamping component than at a point said coolant feed channel opens onto a diametrically opposite side.
13. A cutting tool according to claim 1 wherein
said roofage is a convex projection on said clamping component.
14. A cutting tool according to claim 1 wherein
said grinding patterns define curved surfaces facing radially outwardly relative to a longitudinal axis of said neck component.

1. An injection apparatus for applying a pesticide to and beneath a surface, the injection apparatus comprising:
a handle;
a manifold head attached to the handle, the manifold head having at least one inlet and at least one internal passage in fluid communication with the at least one inlet;
a high pressure nozzle in fluid communication with the at least one internal passage in the manifold head and adapted for emitting a discharge stream of pesticide for subsurface injection of the pesticide; and
a low pressure nozzle for applying a pesticide to the surface;
the manifold head having a substantially planar contact member having a contact surface for contact with the surface beneath which the pesticide is applied, the contact member having a first opening in the contact surface in fluid communication with the high pressure nozzle and a second opening in the contact surface in fluid communication with the low pressure nozzle.
2. The injection apparatus as set forth in claim 1 wherein the low pressure nozzle is in fluid communication with the at least one internal passage in the manifold head.
3. The injection apparatus as set forth in claim 2 wherein the high pressure nozzle and the low pressure nozzle are concentrically arranged.
4. The injection apparatus as set forth in claim 2 wherein the manifold head comprises a plurality of high pressure nozzles and a plurality of low pressure nozzles.
5. The injection apparatus as set forth in claim 2 wherein the high pressure nozzle is operable independent of the low pressure nozzles.
6. The injection apparatus as set forth in claim 2 wherein the manifold head comprises a plurality of low pressure nozzles, the manifold head having a plurality of second openings in the contact surface wherein the plurality of openings are spaced about a periphery of the contact surface of the contact member.
7. The injection apparatus as set forth in claim 2 in combination with a supply of pesticide, the manifold head being coupled to the handheld application tool and in fluid communication with the supply of pressurized pesticide.
8. The combination as set forth in claim 7 wherein the supply of pesticide comprises a supply of insecticide.
9. The combination as set forth in claim 8 wherein the supply of insecticide comprises a supply of termiticide.
10. The injection apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein the contact member is a single-piece contact member.
11. An injection apparatus for applying a pesticide beneath a surface, the injection apparatus comprising:
a handle;
a manifold head attached to the handle, the manifold head having at least one inlet and at least one internal passage in fluid communication with the at least one inlet;
a high pressure nozzle in fluid communication with the at least one internal passage in the manifold head and adapted for emitting a discharge stream of pesticide for subsurface injection of the pesticide to define an injection area;
a nozzle configured for disposing a marker material onto the surface to indicate the injection area in which the pesticide was injected; and
a contact member having a contact surface for contacting the surface beneath which the pesticide is applied, the contact member having a first opening in the contact surface in fluid communication with the high pressure nozzle, and a second opening in the contact surface in fluid communication with said nozzle configured for disposing a marker material onto the surface.
12. The injection apparatus set forth in claim 11 wherein the contact member is a single-piece contact member.
13. An injection apparatus for treating soil adjacent a structure with pesticide, the apparatus comprising a plurality of first high pressure nozzles, a plurality of second high pressure nozzles, and a contact member having a substantially planar contact surface for contacting the soil during operation of the apparatus, the contact member having a plurality of first openings in the contact surface, each first opening being associated with a respective one of the first high pressure nozzles, and a plurality of second openings in the contact surface, each second opening being associated with a respective one of the second high pressure nozzles, the first high pressure nozzles and the respective first openings being configured for emitting a first discharge stream of pesticide for injection of the pesticide into the soil, the first discharge streams collectively defining an outer injection zone, the second high pressure nozzles and the respective second openings being configured for emitting a second discharge stream of pesticide into the soil, the second discharge streams collectively defining a central injection zone, the central injection zone being disposed within the outer injection zone.
14. The injection apparatus set forth in claim 13 wherein the contact member is a single-piece contact member.
15. An injection apparatus comprising:
a handle;
a reservoir mounted on the handle for holding a pesticide concentrate;
a mixing device mounted on the apparatus for mixing the pesticide concentrate with a carrier liquid to form a pesticide solution;
a manifold head attached to the handle, the manifold head having at least one inlet and at least one internal passage in fluid communication with the at least one inlet; and
a nozzle in fluid communication with the at least one internal passage in the manifold head and adapted for subsurface injection of the pesticide solution.
16. The injection apparatus according to claim 15 wherein the mixing device is mounted on the manifold head.
17. The injection apparatus according to claim 15 further comprising a dosing device mounted on the handle for dosing the pesticide concentrate from the reservoir to the mixing device.
18. The injection apparatus according to claim 17 wherein the dosing device is adjustable for adjusting the amount of pesticide concentrate dosed to the mixing device.
19. The injection apparatus according to claim 15 further comprising a pressure accumulator mounted on the handle.
20. The injection apparatus set forth in claim 15 wherein the contact member is a single-piece contact member.
