What is claimed is:

1. An isolated nucleic acid molecule selected from the group consisting of:
a) a nucleic acid comprising the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, 3, 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 19, 21, 25, 27, 32, 34, 38, 40, 42, 44, 48, 50, 57, 59, 62, 64, 72, 74, 77, 79, 83, or 85; and
b) a nucleic acid molecule which encodes a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2, 5, 10, 14, 20, 26, 33, 39, 43, 49, 58, 63, 73, 78, or 84.
2. The nucleic acid molecule of claim 1, further comprising vector nucleic acid sequences.
3. The nucleic acid molecule of claim 1, further comprising nucleic acid sequences encoding a heterologous polypeptide.
4. A host cell which contains the nucleic acid molecule of claim 1.
5. An isolated polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2, 5, 10, 14, 20, 26, 33, 39, 43, 49, 58, 63, 73, 78, or 84.
6. The polypeptide of claim 5 further comprising heterologous amino acid sequences.
7. An antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof that selectively binds to a polypeptide of claim 5.
8. A method for producing a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2, 5, 10, 14, 20, 26, 33, 39, 43, 49, 58, 63, 73, 78, or 84, the method comprising culturing the host cell of claim 4 under conditions in which the nucleic acid molecule is expressed.
9. A method for detecting the presence of a polypeptide of claim 5 in a sample, comprising:
a) contacting the sample with a compound which selectively binds to the polypeptide; and
b) determining whether the compound binds to the polypeptide in the sample.
10. The method of claim 9, wherein the compound which binds to the polypeptide is an antibody.
11. A kit comprising a compound which selectively binds to a polypeptide of claim 5 and instructions for use.
12. A method for detecting the presence of a nucleic acid molecule of claim 1 in a sample, comprising the steps of:
a) contacting the sample with a nucleic acid probe or primer which selectively hybridizes to the nucleic acid molecule; and
b) determining whether the nucleic acid probe or primer binds to a nucleic acid molecule in the sample.
13. The method of claim 12, wherein the sample comprises mRNA molecules and is contacted with a nucleic acid probe.
14. A kit comprising a compound which selectively hybridizes to a nucleic acid molecule of claim 1 and instructions for use.
15. A method for identifying a compound which binds to a polypeptide of claim 5 comprising the steps of:
a) contacting a polypeptide, or a cell expressing a polypeptide of claim 5 with a test compound; and
b) determining whether the polypeptide binds to the test compound.
16. A method for modulating the activity of a polypeptide of claim 5, comprising contacting a polypeptide or a cell expressing a polypeptide of claim 5 with a compound which binds to the polypeptide in a sufficient concentration to modulate the activity of the polypeptide.
17. A method of inhibiting aberrant activity of a 33877, 47179, 26886, 25552, 32132, 32244, 23680, 32624, 47174, 60491, 46743, 27417, 27960, 32252, or 53320-expressing cell, comprising contacting a 33877, 47179, 26886, 25552, 32132, 32244, 23680, 32624, 47174, 60491, 46743, 27417, 27960, 32252, or 53320-expressing cell with a compound that modulates the activity or expression of a polypeptide of claim 5, in an amount which is effective to reduce or inhibit the aberrant activity of the cell.
18. The method of claim 17, wherein the compound is selected from the group consisting of a peptide, a phosphopeptide, a small organic molecule, and an antibody.
19. A method of treating or preventing a disorder characterized by aberrant activity of a 33877, 47179, 26886, 25552, 32132, 32244, 23680, 32624, 47174, 60491, 46743, 27417, 27960, 32252, or 53320-expressing cell, in a subject, comprising:
administering to the subject an effective amount of a compound that modulates the activity or expression of a nucleic acid molecule of claim 1, such that the aberrant activity of the 33877, 47179, 26886, 25552, 32132, 32244, 23680, 32624, 47174, 60491, 46743, 27417, 27960, 32252, or 53320-expressing cell is reduced or inhibited.

1. An apparatus for measuring surface features in machined parts comprising:
a) a fixture to hold an impressionable material in fixed position against a surface feature for the period needed for the impressionable material to conform to the surface feature and register the shape of the surface feature;
b) said fixture removable such that the profile created in the impressionable material remains substantially unchanged by removal; and
c) said fixture mountable in a profiling device repeatably from measurement to measurement.
2. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said fixture is further comprised of a positioning element and a measuring element:
a) said positioning element locating features on parts to be measured by reference to at least one datum for each measurement location;
b) said measuring element being removably fitted to said positioning element to hold said measuring element in alignment with said positioning element; and
c) said measuring element removable from said positioning element and configured to be mountable in a profiling device repeatably from measurement to measurement.
3. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said measuring element has a free axis of movement such that the impressionable material may be moved toward or away from the surface feature being profiled.
4. The apparatus of claim 3 further comprising an adjustable stepped gage block to regulate the position of the impressionable material in relation to the surface feature being measured.
5. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said fixture contacts at least one datum of the part being measured to provide reference location.
6. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said positioning element contacts at least one datum of the part being measured to provide reference location.
7. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said fixture is fitted to hold said positioning element in contact with at least one datum of the part being measured to provide reference location.
8. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said positioning element is fitted to hold said positioning element in contact with at least one datum surface of the part being measured to provide reference location.
9. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said fixture is spring loaded to hold said fixture in contact with at least one datum surface of the part being measured to provide reference location.
10. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said positioning element is spring loaded to hold said positioning element in contact with at least one datum surface of the part being measured to provide reference location.
11. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the impressionable material is supplied in cylindrical form and is positioned in a V shaped block which is a part of said fixture.
12. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein the impressionable material is supplied in cylindrical form and is positioned in a V shaped block which is a part of said measuring element.
13. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the impressionable material is a wax.
14. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein the impressionable material is a wax.
15. An apparatus for measuring edges in machined parts comprising:
a) a fixture to hold an impressionable material in fixed position against an edge for the period needed for the impressionable material to conform to the edge and register the shape of the edge;
b) said fixture having a positioning element and a measuring element;
c) said measuring element removably fitted to said positioning element in a manner to hold said measuring element in alignment with said positioning element;
d) said measuring element removable from said positioning element such that the profile created in the impressionable material remains substantially unchanged during removal; and
e) said measuring element configured to be mountable in a profiling device repeatably from measurement to measurement.
16. The apparatus of claim 15 wherein said measuring element has a free axis of movement such that the impressionable material may be moved toward or away from the edge being profiled.
17. The apparatus of claim 16 further comprising an adjustable stepped gage block to regulate the position of the impressionable material in relation to the edge being measured.
18. A method for measuring surface features in machined parts comprising:
a) holding an impressionable material with a fixture in fixed position against a surface feature for a period of time sufficient for the impressionable material to conform to the surface feature and register the shape of the surface feature;
b) removing the fixture from the surface feature while maintaining the profile of the surface feature substantially unchanged by removal; and
c) mounting the fixture in a profiling device repeatably from measurement to measurement.
19. The method of claim 18 comprising using a stepped gage block to regulate the position of the impressionable material in relation to the surface feature being measured.
20. The method of claim 18 comprising using at least one datum of the part being measured to provide reference location.
21. The method of claim 18 comprising using a spring loaded fixture to hold the fixture in contact with at least one datum surface of the part being measured to provide reference location.
22. A method for measuring edges in machined parts comprising:
a) holding an impressionable material in fixed position against an edge using a fixture having a positioning element and a measuring element;
b) holding the impressionable material in fixed position for a period of time sufficient for the impressionable material to conform to the edge and register the shape of the edge;
c) holding the measuring element in alignment with the positioning element, the measuring element being removably fitted to the positioning element;
d) removing the measuring element from the positioning element while maintaining the profile created in the impressionable material substantially unchanged during removal; and
e) configuring the measuring element to be mountable in a profiling device repeatably from measurement to measurement.
23. The method of claim 22 comprising using a stepped gage block to regulate the position of the impressionable material in relation to the surface feature being measured.
24. The method of claim 22 comprising using at least one datum of the part being measured to provide reference location.
25. The method of claim 22 comprising using a spring loaded part registration plate to hold the positioning element in contact with at least one datum of the part being measured to provide reference location.

1. A wound-closing dressing comprising:
a sealing drape having a first surface and a tissue-facing surface, the sealing drape for placing over a wound;
a dissolvable body coupled to the sealing drape;
an elastic member coupled to the dissolvable body in a stretched position, wherein the elastic member is contract configured to a free position when at least a portion of the dissolvable body dissolves, thereby generating a closing force; and
a gripping member coupled to at least one of the sealing drape and elastic member, the gripping member configured to transmit the closing force to a patient’s epidermis.
2. The wound-closing dressing of claim 1 wherein said dissolvable body includes oxygenated particles for reducing infection.
3. The wound-closing dressing of claim 1 wherein said dissolvable body includes anti-microbial particles for reducing infection.
4. The wound-closing dressing of claim 1 wherein said gripping member comprises an adhesive.
5. The wound-closing dressing of claim 1 wherein said dissolvable body comprises a plurality of dissolvable beads.
6. A method for treating a wound comprising the steps of:
securing a contracting element to a patient’s epidermis such that the contracting element spans at least a portion of the patient’s wound, wherein the contracting element is configured to contract from an extended position to a contracted position; and
activating the contracting element such that the contracting element generates a closing force.
7. The method according to claim 6 wherein said contracting element s in an expanded position prior to activation.
8. The method according to claim 6 wherein said contracting element is activated by heat.
9. The method according to claim 6 wherein said contracting element is activated by moisture.
10. The method according to claim 6 wherein said contracting element is activated by electromagnetic induction.
11. The method according to claim 6 wherein said contracting element comprises a plurality of contracting strips.
12. The method according to claim 6 wherein said gripping member comprises an adhesive.
13. The method according to claim 6 further comprising a dissolvable body coupled to the contracting element wherein the contracting element is activated when at least a portion of the body dissolves.
14. The method according to claim 6 further comprising a dissolvable body coupled to the contracting element wherein the contracting element is activated when at least a portion of the body dissolves; and wherein the dissolvable body comprises a plurality of dissolvable beads.
15. The method according to claim 6 wherein said contracting element is coupled to the tissue-facing surface of the sealing drape.
16. The method according to claim 6 wherein the contracting element comprises a material stretched from a free length to a stretched length and dried and wherein the contracting element is activated by moisture.
17. The method according to claim 6 wherein the contracting element comprises a memory metal stretched to an extended position and wherein the contracting element is activated by heat from the patient.
18. The method according to claim 6 further comprising applying a reduced pressure to the patient’s wound.
19. A method of manufacturing a wound closing dressing comprising the steps of:
forming a sealing drape having a first surface and a tissue-facing surface;
coupling a contracting element to the sealing drape, wherein the contracting element is configured to contract from an extended position to a contracted position and thereby generate a closing force when activated; and
coupling a gripping member to the sealing drape such that the gripping member is configured to transmit the closing force to a patient’s epidermis.
20. The method according to claim 19 further comprising coupling a manifold member to the tissue-facing surface of the sealing drape.
21. The method according to claim 19 further comprising coupling a dissolvable body to the contracting element such that the contracting element is activated when at least a portion of the body dissolves.
22. The method according to claim 19 further comprising coupling a plurality of contracting elements to the sealing drape.
23. The method according to claim 19 further comprising fluidly coupling a reduced-pressure subsystem to the sealing drape.
24. The method according to claim 19 wherein the step of coupling a contracting element to the sealing drape comprises coupling a contracting element having a plurality of dissolvable beads.

A dose counter for counting the number of doses of fluid or powder that have been dispensed or that remain to be dispensed from a fluid dispenser device, said counter including a first rotary counter element forming a units wheel, and a second rotary counter element forming a tens wheel, said first and second counter elements co-operating with each other to define and to display, in a viewing window, said number of doses, said first counter element co-operating with an actuator member that is adapted to cause said first counter element to turn each time said actuator member is actuated, said counter including a base body that incorporates a pivot pin for said first and second counter elements, said body including fastener means and receiving said actuator member and said first and second counter elements, such that said first counter element retains said actuator member in said base body and said second counter element retains said first counter element in said base body, said fastener means retaining said second counter element in said base body, such that said counter is pre-assembled in said base body so as to form a pre-assembled counter unit separate from the fluid dispenser device before the counter unit is assembled to the fluid dispenser device; and wherein the fastener means is formed on the base body and forms a one-piece construction with the base body.
2. A counter according to claim 1, wherein said counter unit includes body fastener means for fastening to a body of a fluid dispenser device.
3. A counter according to claim 2, wherein said body fastener means are formed on said base body.
4. A counter according to claim 1, wherein said base body is associated with a lid that is adapted to be fastened on said base body, after the counter has been pre-assembled in said base body.
5. A counter according to claim 4, wherein the pre-assembled counter unit, comprising the base body, the actuator member, an intermediate element, the first and second counter elements, and the lid, presents a thickness that is less than or equal to 7 mm.
6. A counter according to claim 1, wherein the pre-assembled counter unit, comprising the base body, the actuator member, and the first and second counter elements, presents a thickness that is less than or equal to 7 mm.
7. A fluid or powder dispenser device comprising a reservoir, a dispenser member that is mounted on said reservoir, and a body incorporating a dispenser orifice, said reservoir being movable in said body so as to dispense the fluid or powder, said dispenser device comprising a counter according to claim 1.
8. A device according to claim 7, wherein said counter is fastened to the body laterally, said device being actuated by the user pressing axially on the reservoir, and said counter being actuated by said axial movement of said reservoir that co-operates with said actuator element of the actuator member.
9. The counter according to claim 1, wherein said fastener means are snap-fastener tabs that cooperate with an outer edge of said second counter element without limiting a capacity of said second counter element.
10. A dose counter for counting a number of doses of fluid or powder that have been dispensed or that remain to be dispensed from a fluid dispenser device, comprising:
a first rotary counter element forming a units wheel;
a second rotary counter element forming a tens wheel, the first counter element and the second counter element co-operating with each other to indicate the number of doses;
an actuator member cooperating with the first counter element to cause the first counter element to turn each time the actuator member is actuated; and
a base body comprising a pivot pin on which the first counter element and the second counter element are rotationally supported;
the base body containing the actuator member, the first counter element and the second counter element, such that the first counter element retains the actuator member in the base body and the second counter element retains the first counter element in the base body; and the base body comprising a fastener that retains the second counter element in the base body, together forming a pre-assembled counter unit comprising the base body, the actuator member, the first counter element and the second counter element; and
wherein the fastener is formed on the base body and forms a one-piece construction with the base body.
11. A fluid dispenser device comprising a housing, the dose counter of claim 10 within the housing, and a window through which the number of doses is viewable.
12. The counter according to claim 10, wherein the base body is associated with a lid adapted to be fastened on the base body, after the counter has been pre-assembled in the base body.
13. The counter according to claim 12, wherein the pre-assembled counter unit presents thickness that is less than or equal to 7 mm.
14. A fluid or powder dispenser device comprising a reservoir, a dispenser member mounted on the reservoir, and a body incorporating a dispenser orifice, the reservoir movable in the body so as to dispense the fluid or powder, the device further comprising the counter according to claim 10.
15. The device according to claim 14, wherein the counter is fastened to the body laterally, the device actuated by pressing axially on the reservoir, and the counter actuated by axial movement of the reservoir that co-operates with the actuator element of the actuator member.
16. A dose counter for counting a number of doses of fluid or powder that have been dispensed or that remain to be dispensed from a fluid dispenser device, comprising:
a first rotary counter element forming a units wheel;
a second rotary counter element forming a tens wheel, the first counter element and the second counter element co-operating with each other to indicate the number of doses;
an actuator member cooperating with the first counter element to cause the first counter element to turn each time the actuator member is actuated; and
a base body comprising a pivot pin on which the first counter element and the second counter element are rotationally supported;
the base body containing the actuator member, the first counter element and the second counter element, such that the first counter element retains the actuator member in the base body and the second counter element retains the first counter element in the base body; and the base body comprising a fastener that retains the second counter element in the base body, together forming a pre-assembled counter unit comprising the base body, the actuator member, the first counter element and the second counter element; and
wherein the fastener comprises snap-fastener tabs that cooperate with an outer edge of the second counter element.
17. The counter according to claim 4, wherein the pre-assembled counter unit, comprising the base body, the actuator member, an intermediate element, the first and second counter elements, and the lid, presents thickness that is less than or equal to 6 mm.
18. The counter according to claim 4, wherein the pre-assembled counter unit, comprising the base body, the actuator member, an intermediate element, the first and second counter elements, and the lid, presents thickness that is less than or equal to 5 mm.
19. The counter according to claim 1, wherein the pre-assembled counter unit, comprising the base body, the actuator member, and the first and second counter elements, presents thickness that is less than or equal to 6 mm.
