What is claimed is:

1. A system operable for analyzing a viscoelastic property of a combinatorial library of materials, the system comprising:
a plurality of full bridge devices operable for measuring an environment-modulated elongation property of each of a plurality combinatorial materials, wherein each of the plurality of combinatorial materials is disposed on a surface of the plurality of full bridge devices; and
a mathematical algorithm operable for equating the environment-modulated elongation property of the combinatorial materials with a viscoelastic property of the combinatorial materials.
2. The system of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of full bridge devices comprises a plurality of strain gauges operable for measuring an environment-modulated elongation property of the combinatorial materials.
3. The system of claim 1, wherein the mathematical algorithm comprises a multivariate statistical data analysis technique.
4. The system of claim 3, wherein the mathematical algorithm further comprises a Principal Components Analysis (PCA) technique.
5. The system of claim 1, wherein the mathematical algorithm comprises a visualization algorithm.
6. The system of claim 1, wherein the mathematical algorithm is disposed within a computer.
7. The system of claim 1, further comprising a heatingcooling device operable for heatingcooling the plurality of full bridge devices simultaneously.
8. The system of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of combinatorial materials is a combinatorial material selected from the group consisting of a polymer and a polymer film.
9. The system of claim 1, wherein the system is operable for analyzing the viscoelastic property of each member of a combinatorial library of materials simultaneously.
10. The system of claim 1, wherein the viscoelastic property analyzed includes a viscoelastic property selected from the group consisting of glass transition temperature, vapor sorption, chemical resistance, weatherability, and oxidative stability.
11. A system operable for analyzing a thermal property of a combinatorial library of materials, the system comprising:
a plurality of full bridge devices operable for measuring a temperature-modulated elongation property each of a plurality of combinatorial materials, wherein each of the plurality of full bridge devices comprises a plurality of strain gauges operable for measuring a temperature-modulated elongation property each of the plurality of combinatorial materials, wherein each of the plurality of combinatorial materials is disposed on a surface of the plurality of full bridge devices;
a computer; and
a mathematical algorithm disposed within the computer, the mathematical algorithm operable for equating the temperature-modulated elongation property of the combinatorial materials with a thermal property of the combinatorial materials.
12. The system of claim 11, wherein the mathematical algorithm comprises a multivariate statistical data analysis technique.
13. The system of claim 12, wherein the mathematical algorithm further comprises a Principal Components Analysis (PCA) technique.
14. The system of claim 11, wherein the mathematical algorithm comprises a visualization algorithm.
15. The system of claim 11, further comprising a heatingcooling device operable for heatingcooling the plurality of full bridge devices simultaneously.
16. The system of claim 11, wherein each of the plurality of combinatorial materials is a combinatorial material selected from the group consisting of a polymer and a polymer film.
17. The system of claim 11, wherein the system is operable for analyzing the thermal property of each member of a combinatorial library of materials simultaneously.
18. A method for analyzing a viscoelastic property of a combinatorial library of materials, the method comprising:
providing a plurality of full bridge devices operable for measuring an environment-modulated elongation property of each of a plurality of combinatorial materials;
disposing the combinatorial materials on a surface of the plurality of full bridge devices;
measuring the environment-modulated elongation property of the combinatorial materials;
providing a mathematical algorithm operable for equating the environment-modulated elongation property of the combinatorial materials with a viscoelastic property of the combinatorial materials; and
equating the environment-modulated elongation property of the combinatorial materials with a viscoelastic property of the combinatorial materials.
19. The method of claim 18, wherein providing the plurality of full bridge devices comprises providing a plurality of strain gauges operable for measuring the environment-modulated elongation property of the combinatorial materials.
20. The method of claim 18, wherein providing the mathematical algorithm comprises providing a multivariate statistical data analysis technique.
21. The method of claim 20, wherein providing the mathematical algorithm further comprises providing a Principal Components Analysis (PCA) technique.
22. The method of claim 18, wherein providing the mathematical algorithm comprises providing a visualization algorithm.
23. The method of claim 18, further comprising providing a heatingcooling device operable for heatingcooling the plurality of full bridge devices simultaneously.

26. The method of claim 18, wherein the viscoelastic property analyzed includes a viscoelastic property selected from the group consisting of glass transition temperature, vapor sorption, chemical resistance, weatherability, and oxidative stability.
27. A method for analyzing a thermal property of a combinatorial library of materials, the method comprising:
providing a plurality of full bridge devices operable for measuring a temperature-modulated elongation property of each of a plurality of combinatorial materials, wherein each of the plurality of full bridge devices comprises a plurality of strain gauges operable for measuring the temperature-modulated elongation property of each of the plurality of combinatorial materials;
disposing the combinatorial materials on a surface of the plurality of full bridge devices;
measuring the temperature-modulated elongation property of the combinatorial materials;
providing a mathematical algorithm operable for equating the temperature-modulated elongation property of the combinatorial materials with a thermal property of the combinatorial materials; and
equating the temperature-modulated elongation property of the combinatorial materials with a thermal property of the combinatorial materials.
28. The method of claim 27, wherein providing the mathematical algorithm comprises providing a multivariate statistical data analysis technique.
29. The method of claim 28, wherein providing the mathematical algorithm further comprises providing a Principal Components Analysis (PCA) technique.
30. The method of claim 27, wherein providing the mathematical algorithm comprises providing a visualization algorithm.

1. A computer-implemented method of indexing a plurality of documents in a website, the computer-implemented method comprising:
at a web crawler:
associating a plurality of domain names with the website, the plurality of domain names including a preferred domain name;
for a document in the website having a specified locator with a domain name other than the preferred domain name, rewriting the specified locator to a rewritten locator that includes the preferred domain name; and
indexing the document using the rewritten locator.
2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further including generating metadata for the document using the rewritten locator.
3. The computer-implemented method of claim 2, wherein generating the metadata comprises generating a document importance value.
4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the indexing includes storing data that maps a plurality of terms in the document to the rewritten locator.
5. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein associating the plurality of domain names with the website further comprises:
providing a list of verified domain names previously added to a site account associated with the website;
providing a mechanism for specifying the preferred domain name by a user; and
if the specified preferred domain name is not on the list, verifying that the user has ownership of the specified preferred domain name.
6. The computer-implemented method of claim 5, further comprising verifying that the user is a site owner of the website.
7. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising identifying the preferred domain name before indexing the documents of the website.
8. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising:
if the document is associated with a set of multiple locators, wherein the set includes a conforming locator that is in conformance with the preferred domain name, selecting the conforming locator for indexing the document.
9. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein associating the plurality of domain names with the website further comprises:
providing a mechanism for adding domain names associated with the website for verification; and
when the added domain names are verified, including the added domain names in a list of verified domain names associated with the website.
10. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising determining that content associated with a first domain name of the plurality of domain names is identical to corresponding content associated with a second domain name of the plurality of domain names.
11. A computer-implemented method of indexing a plurality of documents in a website, the computer-implemented method comprising:
providing to a user a current preferred domain name that is associated with the website;
providing to the user a list of domain names associated with the website;
accepting a user selection of a new preferred domain name from the list of domain names; and
rewriting a specified locator for a document in the website, the specified locator having a domain name in the list of domain names other than the new preferred domain name, to a rewritten locator that includes the new preferred domain name.
12. The computer-implemented method of claim 11, further comprising:
providing to the user a user interface for adding domain names associated with the website for verification; and
when added domain names are verified, including the added domain names in the list of domain names, for display to the user.
13. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more programs for execution by one or more processors of a computer system, the one or more programs comprising:
instructions for associating a plurality of domain names with the website, the plurality of domain names including a preferred domain name;
instructions for rewriting a specified locator for a document in the website, the specified locator having a domain name other than the preferred domain name, to a rewritten locator that includes the preferred domain name; and
instructions for indexing the document using the rewritten locator.
14. The computer readable storage medium of claim 13, the one or more programs further comprising instructions for generating metadata for the document using the rewritten locator.
15. The computer readable storage medium of claim 14, wherein the generated metadata includes a document importance value.
16. The computer readable storage medium of claim 13, wherein the instructions for indexing include instructions for storing data that maps a plurality of terms in the document to the rewritten locator.
17. The computer readable storage medium of claim 13, wherein the instructions for associating the plurality of domain names with the website further comprises:
instructions for providing a list of verified domain names previously added to a site account associated with the website;
instructions for providing a mechanism for specifying the preferred domain name by a user; and
instructions for verifying that the user has ownership of the specified preferred domain name when the specified preferred domain name is not on the list.
18. The computer readable storage medium of claim 17, the one or more programs further comprising instructions for verifying that the user is a site owner of the website.
19. The computer readable storage medium of claim 13, the one or more programs further comprising instructions for identifying the preferred domain name before indexing the documents of the website.
20. The computer readable storage medium of claim 13, the one or more programs further comprising:
instructions for selecting the conforming locator for indexing the document, when the document is associated with a set of multiple locators, wherein the set includes a conforming locator that is in conformance with the preferred domain name.
21. The computer readable storage medium of claim 13, wherein the instructions for associating the plurality of domain names with the website further comprise:
instructions for providing a mechanism for adding domain names associated with the website for verification; and
instructions for including the added domain names in a list of verified domain names associated with the website when the added domain names are verified.

The computer readable storage medium of claim 13, the one or more programs further comprising instructions for determining that content associated with a first domain name of the plurality of domain names is identical to corresponding content associated with a second domain name of the plurality of domain names.
23. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more programs for execution by one or more processors of a computer system, the one or more programs comprising:
instructions for providing to a user a current preferred domain name that is associated with the website;
instructions for providing to the user a list of domain names associated with the website, wherein the user selects a new preferred domain name from the list of domain names;
instructions for accepting a user selection of a new preferred domain from the list of domain names; and
instructions for rewriting a specified locator for a document in the website, the specified locator having a domain name in the list of domain names other than the new preferred domain name, to a rewritten locator that includes the new preferred domain name.
24. The computer readable storage medium of claim 23, further comprising:
instructions for providing to the user a user interface for adding domain names associated with the website for verification; and
instructions for including the added domain names in the list of domain names when the added domain names are verified.
25. A computer system comprising:
one or more processors; and
a memory storing at least one program configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the at least one program comprising:
instructions for providing to a user a current preferred domain name that is associated with a website;
instructions for providing to the user a list of domain names associated with the website;
instructions for accepting a user selection of a new preferred domain from the list of domain names; and
instructions for rewriting a specified locator for a document in the website, the specified locator having a domain name in the list of domain names other than the new preferred domain name, to a rewritten locator that includes the new preferred domain name.
26. The computer system of claim 25, the at least one program further comprising:
instructions for providing to the user a user interface for adding domain names associated with the website for verification; and
instructions for including the added domain names in the list of domain names provided to the user when the added domain names are verified.

1. A process of identifying an organic dye in a work, comprising the steps of:
applying a bead of a polymer gel to a portion of a work;
removing the bead from the work;
applying a SERS substrate to the bead; and
examining the bead in accordance with a surface enhanced Raman scattering technique.
2. The process of claim 1, wherein the polymer gel is selected from the group consisting of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate; 2,3-dihydroxypropyl methacrylate; a 1:1 random copolymer of 2,3 dihydroxypropyl methacrylate with 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate; and a cross-linked hydroxyalkyl methacrylate.
3. The process of claim 1, further comprising loading the bead with a solution containing at least water and a chelating agent.
4. The process of claim 3, wherein the chelating agent is selected from the group consisting of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid and a sodium salt of ethylene diamine tetraacetic.
5. The process of claim 1, further comprising loading the bead with a solution containing at least an organic solvent and a chelating agent.
6. The process of claim 5, wherein the organic solvent is selected from the group consisting of dimethyl formammide, dimethyl sulfoxide and pyridine.
7. The process of claim 5, wherein an amount of the chelating agent is selected to be in a range extending substantially between 0.1% (weightvolume) to a percentage value at saturation.
8. The process of claim 1, further comprising loading the bead with a solution containing water, an organic solvent and a chelating agent.
9. The process of claim 8, wherein a ratio of the water to the organic solvent is selected to be an intermediate value between 1:10 waterorganic solvent and 10:1 waterorganic solvent.
10. The process of claim 1, wherein the SERS substrate is a silver, gold or copper colloid.
11. The process of claim 1, wherein the SERS substrate is comprised of silver, gold or copper nanoislands.
12. The process of claim 11, further comprising producing the silver, gold or copper nanoislands by evaporation under high vacuum.
13. The process of claim 1, further comprising the step of forming the polymer gel on an end of a sensing device.
14. The process of claim 13, wherein the sensing device is an optical fiber.
15. The process of claim 13, wherein the sensing device is a glass plate pre-coated with silver, gold, or copper nanoislands.
16. The process of claim 1, wherein the bead is applied to the work for a period of substantially between 10 minutes and eight hours.
17. The process of claim 1, wherein the step of removing the bead from the work is carried out without removing a sample from the work.
18. The process of claim 1, wherein the step of examining the bead includes identifying an organic dye in the work.
19. The process of claim 18, wherein the organic dye is an insoluble dye.

18. A heat transfer composition comprising the composition of claim 17 and wherein said adjuvant comprises at least one lubricant.

The heat transfer composition of claim 18 wherein said supplemental lubricant is selected from the group consisting of mineral oil, silicone oil, polyalkyl benzenes (PABs), polyol esters (POEs), polyalkylene glycols (PAGs), polyalkylene glycol esters (PAG esters), polyvinyl ethers (PVEs), poly(alpha-olefins) (PAOs), and combinations of these.
20. The heat transfer composition of claim 19 wherein said adjuvant further includes at least one compatibilizer.
21. The heat transfer composition of claim 20 comprising from about 0.5 to about 5 percent by weight of said at least one compatibilizer.
22. The heat transfer composition of claim 19 wherein said supplemental lubricant(s) together are present in an amount of from about 5 to about 50 percent by weight of the heat transfer composition.
23. The heat transfer composition of claim 18 comprising one or more supplemental flame suppressants.
24. The heat transfer composition of claim 23 wherein said one or more flame suppressant(s) together are present in an amount of from about 0.5% to about 30% by weight of the heat transfer composition.
25. A heat transfer composition comprising an azeotrope-like composition of claim 16.
26. A heat transfer composition comprising at least about 50% by weight of the composition of claim 16.
27. A refrigerant comprising the heat transfer composition of claim 26.
28. A refrigeration system comprising a heat transfer composition of claim 27.

32. A foamable composition comprising one or more components capable of forming foam and the azeotrope-like composition of claim 16.

The foamable composition of claim 32 wherein said one or more components capable of forming foam comprise one or more components capable of forming foam selected from the group consisting of thermoplastic foams, polystyrene foams, polyethylene foams, low density polyethylene foams, extruded thermoplastic foams, polyurethane foams, and polyisocyanurate foams.
34. The foamable composition of claim 33 further comprising at least one additive selected from the group consisting of dispersing agents, cell stabilizers, surfactants, flame retardants and combinations of two or more of these.
35. A foam formed from the foamable composition of claim 32.
36. A closed cell foam comprising the foam of claim 32.
37. A method of replacing an existing refrigerant contained in a refrigerant system comprising removing at least a portion of said existing refrigerant from said system and replacing at least a portion of said existing refrigerant by introducing into said system a refrigerant composition comprising the composition of claim 16.
38. The method of claim 37 wherein said existing refrigerant is selected from the group consisting of HFC-134a, R-12, HFC-143a, HFC-125, HFC-32, R-500, HFC-152a, and HFC-22 and combinations of these.
39. The method of claim 37 wherein said existing refrigerant is selected from the group consisting of HFC-134a, HFC-143a, HFC-125, HFC-32 and combinations of these.
40. The method of claim 37 wherein said existing refrigerant is selected from the group consisting of HFC-143a, HFC-125, HFC-32 and combinations of these.
41. The method of claim 37 wherein said existing refrigerant system comprises at least a first compressor having a first displacement and further comprising the step of removing said first compressor from the system and inserting in said system at least a second compressor having a larger displacement than said first compressor.

The method of claim 37 wherein said existing refrigerant system is selected from the group consisting of automotive air conditioning systems, residential air conditioning systems, commercial air conditioning systems, residential refrigerator systems, residential freezer systems, commercial refrigerator systems, commercial freezer systems, chiller air conditioning systems, chiller refrigeration systems, heat pump systems, and combinations of two or more of these.
43. The method of claim 37 wherein said refrigerant in accordance with claim 1 has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of not greater than about 1000.
44. A sprayable composition comprising a material to be sprayed and a propellant comprising an azeotrope-like composition of claim 16.
45. The sprayable composition of claim 44 in the form of an aerosol.
46. The sprayable composition of claim 45 wherein said material to be sprayed is selected from the group consisting of cosmetics, cleaning solvent, lubricants and medicinal materials.
47. The sprayable composition of claim 46 comprising a medicinal material and wherein said medicinal material is a drug or a biologically active material.
48. A method of sterilizing an article comprising contacting said article with a composition comprising the composition of claim 16.
49. A method for cooling an article which comprises condensing a heat transfer composition of claim 16 and thereafter evaporating said composition in the vicinity of the article to be cooled.
50. A method for heating an article which comprises condensing a heat transfer composition of claim 16 in the vicinity of the article to be heated and thereafter evaporating said refrigerant composition.
51. A blowing agent comprising at least about 50% by weight of the composition of claim 16.
