a connector body;
a sensor mounted to the connector body and positioned to measure characteristics of a surface in contact with the connector body; and
a connector interface configured to connect to an external device.
11. The direct contact measurement device of claim 10, wherein the connector body comprises a single piece.
12. The direct contact measurement device of claim 10, wherein the connector body comprises an electromagnetic shield.
13. The direct contact measurement device of claim 10, wherein the connector interface is configured to plug into a hand held external device to effect one handed measurements.
14. The direct contact measurement device of claim 10, wherein the sensor comprises a temperature measurement sensor and the connector interface is configured to plug into a hand held readout.

1. A method for informing users regarding the rescheduling of a meeting, the method comprising:
determining a meeting has been rescheduled; and
generating, by a processor, an indication to a user regarding said meeting having been previously rescheduled in response to said user proposing to subsequently reschedule said rescheduled meeting.
2. The method as recited in claim 1 further comprising:
setting a counter to a first value in response to said meeting having been rescheduled; and
incrementing said counter to a second value in response to said user deciding to proceed with rescheduling said rescheduled meeting a subsequent time, wherein said second value is one greater than said first value.
3. The method as recited in claim 2 further comprising:
generating a meeting invitation for said subsequently rescheduled meeting; and
providing an indication in said meeting invitation regarding said subsequently rescheduled meeting having been rescheduled a number of times corresponding to said second value of said counter.
4. The method as recited in claim 3, wherein said indication comprises one or more of the following: a color, a percentage indication, a count, highlighting and font changes.
5. The method as recited in claim 3 further comprising:
providing an indication in a calendar user interface regarding a likelihood that said subsequently rescheduled meeting will be rescheduled a further time.
6. The method as recited in claim 1 further comprising:
scheduling said subsequently rescheduled meeting in a calendar system; and
providing an indication in a calendar user interface that said subsequently rescheduled meeting had previously been rescheduled.
7. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein said user corresponds to one of a meeting initiator and a meeting recipient.
8. A computer program product embodied in a computer readable storage medium for informing users regarding the rescheduling of a meeting, the computer program product comprising the programming instructions for:
determining a meeting has been rescheduled; and
generating an indication to a user regarding said meeting having been previously rescheduled in response to said user proposing to subsequently reschedule said rescheduled meeting.
9. The computer program product as recited in claim 8 further comprising the programming instructions for:
setting a counter to a first value in response to said meeting having been rescheduled; and
incrementing said counter to a second value in response to said user deciding to proceed with rescheduling said rescheduled meeting a subsequent time, wherein said second value is one greater than said first value.
10. The computer program product as recited in claim 9 further comprising the programming instructions for:
generating a meeting invitation for said subsequently rescheduled meeting; and
providing an indication in said meeting invitation regarding said subsequently rescheduled meeting having been rescheduled a number of times corresponding to said second value of said counter.
11. The computer program product as recited in claim 10, wherein said indication comprises one or more of the following: a color, a percentage indication, a count, highlighting and font changes.
12. The computer program product as recited in claim 10 further comprising the programming instructions for:
providing an indication in a calendar user interface regarding a likelihood that said subsequently rescheduled meeting will be rescheduled a further time.
13. The computer program product as recited in claim 8 further comprising the programming instructions for:
scheduling said subsequently rescheduled meeting in a calendar system; and
providing an indication in a calendar user interface that said subsequently rescheduled meeting had previously been rescheduled.
14. The computer program product as recited in claim 8, wherein said user corresponds to one of a meeting initiator and a meeting recipient.
15. A system, comprising:
a memory unit for storing a computer program for informing users regarding the rescheduling of a meeting; and
a processor coupled to said memory unit, wherein said processor, responsive to said computer program, comprises:
circuitry for determining a meeting has been rescheduled; and
circuitry for generating an indication to a user regarding said meeting having been previously rescheduled in response to said user proposing to subsequently reschedule said rescheduled meeting.
16. The system as recited in claim 15, wherein said processor further comprises:
circuitry for setting a counter to a first value in response to said meeting having been rescheduled; and
circuitry for incrementing said counter to a second value in response to said user deciding to proceed with rescheduling said rescheduled meeting a subsequent time, wherein said second value is one greater than said first value.
17. The system as recited in claim 16, wherein said processor further comprises:
circuitry for generating a meeting invitation for said subsequently rescheduled meeting;
and circuitry for providing an indication in said meeting invitation regarding said subsequently rescheduled meeting having been rescheduled a number of times corresponding to said second value of said counter.
18. The system as recited in claim 17, wherein said indication comprises one or more of the following: a color, a percentage indication, a count, highlighting and font changes.
19. The system as recited in claim 17, wherein said processor further comprises:
circuitry for providing an indication in a calendar user interface regarding a likelihood that said subsequently rescheduled meeting will be rescheduled a further time.

circuitry for scheduling said subsequently rescheduled meeting in a calendar system; and
circuitry for providing an indication in a calendar user interface that said subsequently rescheduled meeting had previously been rescheduled.

1. In a communicating system comprising a base node, at least one adjacent node, and a start node transmitting data requested by the base node via the adjacent node or to the base node, a method for transmitting data requested to the start node comprising:
measuring a power required for data transmission between the nodes forming the communication system;
selecting a path depending on a minimum power consumption required for the data transmission from the base node to the start node using the measured power, and
transmitting the requested data using the selected path.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the start node stores paths capable of transmitting the requested data, a power consumption in transmitting the data along the paths, and an information on a number of adjacent nodes relaying the data.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein the requested data is transmitted using the path having the smallest number of the relaying adjacent nodes when a prompt transmission of the data is required.
4. The method of claim 2, wherein the start node is notified of an information on a remaining energy from the adjacent nodes.
5. The method of claim 4, wherein the requested data is transmitted using another path when the remaining energy of the relaying adjacent nodes is less than a threshold.
6. The method of claim 5, wherein the requested data is transmitted using a path comprising adjacent nodes having the remaining energy greater than the threshold.
7. The method of claim 2, wherein the start node deletes an information on a node incapable of relaying the data.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein an adjacent node of which a location is changed notifies the other nodes of the communication system of an information on the location change.
9. The method of claim 8, wherein paths capable of transmitting the requested data, the power consumption in transmitting the data along the paths, and the information on the number of relaying adjacent nodes are updated based on the changed location information.
10. The method of claim 1, wherein the path is selected one hop at a time.
11. In a communicating system comprising a base node, at least one adjacent node, a start node transmitting data requested by the base node via the adjacent node or to the base node, a system for transmitting data requested to the start node comprising:
the base node; and
the start node selecting a path depending on a minimum power consumption required for the data transmission from the base node using a measured power consumption of each node, and transmitting the requested data using the selected path.
12. The system of claim 11, wherein the start node stores paths capable of transmitting the requested data, a power consumption in transmitting the data along the paths, and an information on a number of adjacent nodes relaying the data.
13. The system of claim 12, wherein the start node transmits the requested data using the path having the smallest number of the relaying adjacent nodes when a prompt transmission of the data is required.
14. The system of claim 12, wherein the start node is notified of an information on a remaining energy from the adjacent nodes.
15. The system of claim 14, wherein the start node traits the requested data using another path when the remaining energy of the relaying adjacent nodes is less than a threshold.
16. The system of claim 15, wherein the threshold is an average of the remaining energy of the nodes capable of relaying the data.
17. The system of claim 15, wherein the start node transmits the requested data using a path comprising adjacent nodes having the remaining energy greater than the threshold.
18. The system of claim 12, wherein the start node deletes an information on an adjacent node incapable of relaying the data.
19. The system of claim 11, wherein an adjacent node of which a location is changed notifies the other nodes of the communication system of an information on the location change.
20. The system of claim 19, wherein the start node updates paths capable of transmitting the requested data, the power consumption in transmitting the data along the paths, and the information on the number of relaying adjacent nodes based on the changed location information.
21. The system of claim 11, wherein the path is selected one hop at a time.

wherein the polarization control system includes an E-type polarizer and a viewing angle control element, and
the viewing angle control element controls a traveling direction of light which has passed through the E-type polarizer.

wherein the viewing angle control element outputs part of light which has entered the viewing angle control element from an azimuth parallel to an absorption axis azimuth in a plane of the E-type polarizer into an azimuth substantially parallel to a transmission axis azimuth in the plane of the E-type polarizer.
3. The polarization control system according to claim 1,
wherein the viewing angle control element is at least one optical element selected from the group consisting of a lens film, a scattering film, a light diffraction film, and an anti-glare film.

wherein the E-type polarizer and the O-type polarizer are disposed in Cross-Nicol arrangement.

comprising a liquid crystal display panel and a viewing angle control element on an observation surface side of the liquid crystal display panel,
the liquid crystal display panel including a liquid crystal layer between a pair of polarizers, and
at least one of the pair of polarizers being an E-type polarizer.
8. The display device according to claim 7,
wherein one of the pair of polarizers is an E-type polarizer, and the other is an O-type polarizer.
9. The display device according to claim 8,
wherein the E-type polarizer and the O-type polarizer are disposed in Cross-Nicol arrangement.
10. The display device according to claim 6,
wherein the display device provides display using a light source device,
an amount of light which is emitted by the light source device into an azimuth parallel to an absorption axis azimuth in a plane of the E-type polarizer is larger than an amount of light which is emitted by the light source device into an azimuth parallel to a transmission axis azimuth in a plane of the E-type polarizer.
11. A polarization control system comprising a plurality of polarizers,
wherein the polarization control system includes an E-type polarizer and a viewing angle control element, and
the viewing angle control element is arranged in such a way that an azimuth where opaque state is observed is parallel to an absorption axis azimuth in a plane of the E-type polarizer.
12. The polarization control system according to claim 11,
wherein the viewing angle control element shows anisotropic transmission and diffusion properties, and
a diffusion major axis azimuth of the viewing angle control element is parallel to the absorption axis azimuth in the plane of the E-type polarizer.
13. The polarization control system according to claim 12,
wherein the viewing angle control element includes optical element units for controlling an output direction of an incident light beam, the optical element units being arrayed in plane, and
an array direction of the optical element units is parallel or perpendicular to the absorption axis azimuth in the plane of the E-type polarizer.
14. The polarization control system according to claim 11,
wherein the viewing angle control element is at least one optical element selected from the group consisting of a microlens array film, a lenticular lens film, and a light diffraction film.
15. The polarization control system according to claim 11, further comprising an O-type polarizer.

wherein the E-type polarizer and the O-type polarizer are disposed in Cross Nicol arrangement.
17. A display device comprising the polarization control system of claim 11.
