1. An apparatus for sharing a cached security profile in a database environment, comprising:
a cache module configured to cache a security profile accessible to primary tasks and secondary tasks;
an identification module configured to distinguish between primary tasks authorized to refresh the security profile and secondary tasks;
a refresh module configured to selectively refresh the security profile in response to a refresh request and expiration of the security profile such that an old version of the security profile is retained for use by secondary tasks until an execution window closes; and
a deletion module configured to defer deletion of the old version of the security profile until the execution window closes and a subsequent primary task requests access to the cached security profile.
2. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a loader configured to load a new version of the security profile.
3. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a command module configured to associate an indicator of the refresh request with the cached security profile.
4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the execution window comprises a period of time between when the cached security profile is created and a predefined threshold.
5. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the security profile comprises an aging value and wherein expiration of the security profile comprises an age of the cached security profile meeting or exceeding the aging value.
6. The apparatus of claim 5, wherein the age of the cached security profile comprises the difference between a creation timestamp associated with the cached security profile and a current timestamp.
7. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the refresh request comprises a passive notification to the refresh module to refresh the cached security profile.
8. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a controller configured to direct primary tasks requesting a security profile subsequent to refreshing the security profile to a new version of the security profile and currently executing secondary tasks to use the old version of the security profile until the predefined execution window closes.
9. The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the controller is configured to require a primary task and a secondary task to use a non-cached security profile in response to a refresh request.
10. A system for sharing a cached security profile, comprising:
a client module configured to communicate a transaction request to a server over a network, the requested transaction configured to perform an authorization check to authenticate a user;
an initial module configured to receive and execute the transaction request and authenticate the user using a cached security profile; and
a cache manager configured to provide the security profile associated with the user to the interface module and selectively refresh the security profile in response to a refresh request and expiration of the security profile such that deletion of an old version of the security profile is deferred until an execution window closes.
11. The system of claim 10, wherein the transaction initiates a secondary module configured to perform an authorization check to authenticate the user by reading the cached security profile.
12. The system of claim 11, wherein the secondary module uses the old version of the security profile in response to the cache manager refreshing an expired security profile within the execution window.
13. The system of claim 10, further comprising a command module configured to communicate a refresh request to the cache manager.
14. The system of claim 10, wherein the execution window comprises a period of time between when the cached security profile is created and a predefined threshold.
15. The system of claim 10, wherein the security profile comprises an aging value and wherein expiration of the security profile comprises an age of the cached security profile meeting or exceeding the aging value.
16. The system of claim 15, wherein the age of the cached security profile comprises the difference between a creation timestamp associated with the cached security profile and a current timestamp.
17. The system of claim 10, wherein the refresh request comprises a passive notification to the cache manager to refresh the cached security profile.
18. The system of claim 10, wherein the cache manager is configured to provide a non-cached security profile to the initial module in response to a refresh request.
19. The system of claim 10, wherein the server comprises an Information Management System (IMS) database environment.
20. An article of manufacture comprising a program storage medium readable by a processor and embodying one or more instructions executable by a processor to perform a method for sharing a cached security profile in a database environment, the method comprising:
caching a security profile accessible by predefined primary tasks and predefined secondary tasks;
authorizing primary tasks to refresh the security profile; and
selectively refreshing the security profile in response to a refresh request and expiration of the security profile such that an old version of the security profile is retained for use by secondary tasks until an execution window closes.
21. The article of manufacture of claim 20, wherein refreshing the security profile further comprises deferring deletion of the old version of the security profile until the execution window closes and a subsequent primary task requests access to the cached security profile.
22. The article of manufacture of claim 20, wherein refreshing the security profile further comprises loading a new version of the security profile.
23. The article of manufacture of claim 20, wherein the execution window comprises a period of time between when the cached security profile is created and a predefined threshold.
24. The article of manufacture of claim 20, wherein the security profile comprises an aging value and wherein expiration of the security profile comprises an age of the cached security profile meeting or exceeding the aging value.
25. The article of manufacture of claim 24, wherein the age of the cached security profile comprises the difference between a creation timestamp associated with the cached security profile and a current timestamp.
26. The article of manufacture of claim 20, further comprising preventing secondary tasks from refreshing the security profile.
27. The article of manufacture of claim 20, wherein the refresh request comprises a command issued by a database administrator.
28. The article of manufacture of claim 20, wherein the refresh request comprises a passive notification to primary tasks and secondary tasks to stop using the cached security profile.
29. The article of manufacture of claim 20, further comprising directing subsequent primary tasks to use a new version of the security profile and currently executing secondary tasks to use the old version of the security profile until the predefined execution window closes.

1. A method of performing atomic layer deposition, comprising:
generating radicals of a gas or a mixture of gases;
injecting the generated radicals onto a surface of a substrate to increase a number of nucleation sites on the substrate by placing the surface of the substrate in a reactive state;
injecting a first source precursor onto the surface of the substrate placed in the reactive state, adsorption of the first source precursor on the substrate facilitated by increase in the number of nucleation sites; and
injecting a first reactant precursor onto the substrate injected with the first source precursor to deposit a layer on the surface of the substrate.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the gas or mixture of gases comprise inert gas.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein the inert gas is Argon.
4. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
injecting the generated radicals onto the surface of the substrate deposited with the layer;
injecting a second source precursor onto the surface of the substrate deposited with the layer; and
injecting a second reactant precursor onto the surface of the substrate deposited with the layer to deposit another layer.
5. The method of claim 4, wherein the second source precursor is a same material as the first source precursor, and the second reactant precursor is a same material as the first reactant precursor.
6. The method of claim 1, wherein the source precursor is one selected from a group consisting of SiH4, TiCl4, SiCl2H2, HfCl4, WF6, and metal-organic compounds.
7. The method of claim 1, wherein the source precursor is one selected from a group consisting of SiH4, TiCl4, SiCl2H2, HfCl4, WF6, and metal-organic compounds.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein the radicals are generated at a location remote from the substrate.
9. A method of performing chemical vapor deposition, comprising:
generating radicals of a gas or a mixture of gases;
injecting the generated radicals onto a surface of a substrate to increase a number of nucleation sites on the substrate by placing the surface of the substrate in a reactive state;
injecting source precursor into a reaction zone;
generate radicals of reactant precursor by generating plasma of the reactant precursor;
injecting the generated radicals into the reaction zone to cause reaction between the generated radicals and the injected source precursor; and
moving the surface of the substrate injected with the generated radicals into the reaction zone to deposit a layer on the surface of the substrate.
10. The method of claim 9, wherein the source precursor is one selected from a group consisting of SiH4, TiCl4, SiCl2H2, HfCl4, WF6, and a metal-organic compound.
11. The method of claim 10, wherein the metal-organic compound is one selected from a group consisting of Trimethylaluminum (CH3)3Al, Tris-dimethylaminosilane (CH3)2NSiH, and Tetrakis(ethylmethylamino)silicon {(CH3)(C2H5)N}4Si.
12. The method of claim 9, wherein the generated radicals comprise N* and the deposited layer comprises SiN.
13. The method of claim 9, wherein the gas or mixture of gases comprise inert gas.
14. The method of claim 13, wherein the inert gas is Argon.

if said component is a container containing other components, indexing said components therein based on a pre-defined property or property combination of said components;

building a linear hierarchy with said menus.

1. Locking pliers comprising:
a stationary assembly having an elongated overall shape, wherein one end of said stationary assembly forms a stationary handle, and the other end of said stationary assembly forms a stationary jaw;
a moveable assembly including an operating lever and a moveable jaw that is supported on said stationary jaw via a first pivot;
said operating lever having a front end that is supported directly on said stationary jaw via a second pivot, and a rear end that forms a moveable handle;
a spring biasing said moveable handle away from said stationary handle;
said moveable assembly further including link mechanism pivotally connected between said operating lever, said moveable jaw and said sattionary handle and dimensioned whereby said moveable jaw is caused to close toward said stationary jaw from an open position to a closed position for clamping an item between said jaws when said moveable handle is moved toward said stationary handle to provide a past-dead-center locking toggle mechanism.
2. The locking pliers of claim 1, wherein said first pivot is a slidable pivot connection whereby said moveable jaw is permitted to close down on an object disposed between said jaws for providing self-adjustment of said jaws for different sized objects to be gripped between said jaws.
3. The locking pliers of claim 2, wherein said slidable pivot connection includes a spring biased pawl and ratchet mechanism with said pawl secured to said moveable jaw by said first pivot and moveable within a slot extending in said stationary jaw generally transversely to said jaws, said pawl having forwardly facing teeth for engaging a rack of teeth on a front edge of said slot for providing said ratchet, and a spring connected between said pawl and said stationary assembly for maintaining said pawl teeth normally disengaged from said rack teeth.
4. The locking pliers of claim 3, wherein said second pivot is a slidable pivot connection.
5. The locking pliers of claim 4, wherein said spring for biasing said moveable handle away from said stationary handle is comprised of a spring disposed between said stationary handle and the front end of said second link.

The locking pliers of claim 5, said link mechanism including a first link having a front end supported on said moveable jaw via a third pivot and a rear end supported on said operating lever via a fourth pivot at an intermediate point along said operating lever, and said rear end of said first link having a rearwardly extending protrusion extending beyond said fourth pivot and a second link having a front end supported on said protrusion of said first link via a fifth pivot and a rear end supported on said stationary handle via a sixth pivot at a resting point that is adjustable along a length of said stationary handle, and stop means for preventing said toggle mechanism from going beyond a point of alignment past dead center upon movement of said moveable handle toward said stationary handle, and a protrusion on the front end of said second link which is dimensioned for retaining an end of said spring at a position located in front of said fifth pivot in the open position and in rear of said fifth pivot in the closed position.

16. Self-adjusting locking pliers comprising:
a stationary assembly having an elongated overall shape, wherein one end of said stationary assembly forms a stationary handle, and the other end of said stationary assembly forms a stationary jaw;
a moveable assembly including an operating lever and a moveable jaw that is supported on said stationary jaw via a first pivot which is comprised of a slidable pivot connection whereby said moveable jaw is permitted to close down on an object disposed between said jaws for providing self-adjustment of said jaws for different sized objects to be gripped between said jaws;
said operating lever having a front end that is supported on said stationary jaw via a second pivot which is comprised of a slidable pivot connection, and a rear end of said operating lever that forms a moveable handle;
a spring biasing said moveable handle away from said stationary handle;
said moveable assembly further including a first link having a front end supported on said moveable jaw via a third pivot and a rear end supported on said operating lever via a fourth pivot at an intermediate point along said operating lever whereby said moveable jaw is caused to close toward said stationary jaw from an open position to a closed position for clamping an item between said jaws when said movable handle is moved toward said stationary handle, said rear end of said first link having a rearwardly extending protrusion extending beyond said fourth pivot, and a second link having a front end supported on said protrusion of said first link via a fifth pivot and a rear end supported on said stationary handle via a sixth pivot at a resting point that is adjustable along a length of said stationary handle, whereby said links provide a past-dead-center locking toggle mechanism;
a protrusion on the front end of said second link which is dimensioned for retaining an end of said spring at a position located in front of said fifth pivot in the open position and in rear of said fifth pivot in the closed position; and
stop means for preventing said toggle mechanism from going beyond a point of alignment past dead center upon movement of said moveable handle toward said stationary handle to the closed position, and for preventing said toggle mechanism from going beyond a point of alignment past dead center upon movement of said moveable handle away from said stationary handle to the open position.
17. The self-adjusting locking pliers of claim 16, wherein said sixth pivot is adjustable along a length of said stationary handle by means of a slide received in said stationary handle which is displaceable with a thumb screw threadably received in said stationary handle.
18. The self-adjusting locking pliers of claim 17, wherein said sixth pivot is displaceable along said second link to two alternate positions for presetting said jaws for gripping larger or smaller objects.
