6. An allergen-reducing method comprising spraying or applying an allergen-reducing agent onto a surface of an object,
wherein said allergen-reducing agent comprises water and a water-soluble polymer compound having units having hydroxy or carboxy groups wherein at least a part of hydrogen atoms of the hydroxy or carboxy groups are substituted by groups represented by the following formula (1):

A cleaning method which comprises wiping the surface of an object with an allergen-reducing sheet having a flexible sheet impregnated with an allergen-reducing agent comprising water and a water-soluble polymer compound having units having hydroxy or carboxy groups wherein at least a part of hydrogen atoms of the hydroxy or carboxy groups are substituted by groups represented by the following formula (1):

9. The method according to claim 8, wherein the polymer compound is cellulose, starch or a derivative thereof.
10. The allergen-reducing method according to claim 1, wherein water comprise 60-99.995 wt. % of said allergen-reducing agent.
11. The allergen-reducing method according to claim 1, wherein said allergen-reducing agent further comprises a water-soluble organic solvent.
12. The allergen-reducing method according to claim 11, wherein said water-soluble organic solvent forms an azeotropic mixture with water having an azeotropic point of lower than 100\xb0 C. with water at 1013.25 hPa.
13. The allergen-reducing method according to claim 11, wherein said water-soluble organic solvent is contained in amount of 0.5 to 20 wt. %.
14. The allergen-reducing method according to claim 1, wherein said allergen-reducing agent further comprise a repellent against arthropods.
15. The allergen-reducing method according to claim 1, wherein said water-soluble polymer compound is contained in an amount of 0.005 to 10 wt. %.
16. The allergen-reducing method according to claim 1, wherein said water is substantially free from compounds which can act as allergens.
17. The allergen-reducing method according to claim 1, wherein said water is sterilized.
18. The allergen-reducing method according to claim 11, wherein said water-soluble organic solvent is at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of ethanol, cyclohexane, 2-butanol, cyclohexanol, cyclohexanone, cyclohexane, toluene, 1-butanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-hexanol, hexane, 1-heptanol, 1-pentanol and 2-pentanol.
19. The allergen-reducing method according to claim 14, wherein said repellent against arthropods is present in an amount of 0.001 to 2 wt. %.
20. The allergen-reducing method according to claim 1, wherein said allergen-reducing agent further comprises a sterilizing agent.

analyzing a first decoding error associated with first interleaved data during a first time interval; and
analyzing a second decoding error associated with second interleaved data during a second time interval, wherein the second time interval at least begins before making a first decision whether to erase a first element associated with the first interleaved data.
2. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the first element associated with the first interleaved data is at least one of a word, a byte or a bit.
3. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein analyzing the first decoding error and the second decoding error are performed independently.
4. A method as defined in claim 1, further comprising making a second decision whether to erase a second element associated with the first interleaved data prior to a beginning of the second time interval.

decoding a first codeword associated with the first interleaved data;
receiving a first error indication for a second element of the first codeword; and

determining a count of decoded codeword elements associated with the first interleaved data;

de-interleaving data received in at least the first and second interleaved data to obtain the first and the second codewords; and

a forward error correction (FEC) decoder to decode a first codeword and to provide a first error indication for the first codeword;
an erasure forecaster to make an erasure decision for a second codeword based on the first error indication; and
an erasure forecasting state table including a first field associated with first interleaved data and a second field associated with second interleaved data, the second codeword containing a first element from the first interleaved data and a second element from the second interleaved data.
23. An apparatus as defined in claim 22, wherein forward error correction (FEC) decoder is a Reed-Solomon (RS) decoder supporting erasure decoding.
24. An apparatus as defined in claim 22, wherein the element of the first interleaved data is at least one of a word, a byte or a bit.
25. An apparatus as defined in claim 22, further comprising a byte-to-symbol mapper to determine which of the first and the second interleaved data is associated with a third element of the second codeword.
26. An apparatus as defined in claim 22, wherein the first field contains at least one of a count of decoded elements, a count of the errored elements, an erasure decision state or a frame number.

An apparatus as defined in claim 22, wherein the first field contains a count of decoded elements and the erasure forecasting state table further includes a third field that contains a count of errored elements associated with the first interleaved data, and a fourth field that contains an erasure decision state associated with the first interleaved data.

decide during a first time interval whether to erase a first element of a first codeword, the first element received in a first data frame;
decide during the first time interval whether to erase a second element of the first codeword, the second element received in a second frame; and
decode the first codeword during a second time interval using the erasure decisions for the first and second elements, the second time interval occurring after the first time interval.
32. An article of manufacture as defined in claim 31, wherein the machine accessible instructions, when executed, cause the machine to:
decode a second codeword during a third time interval that precedes the first time interval; and
determine during the first time interval whether an error occurs in a third element of the second codeword, the third element received in the second frame, and wherein deciding whether to erase the second element is based upon the determined error of the third element.
33. An article of manufacture as defined in claim 31, wherein the machine accessible instructions, when executed, cause the machine to decide during the first time interval whether to erase the first element of the first codeword by:
determining if an error occurs in a fourth element of a second codeword, the fourth element received in the first frame; and
deciding whether to erase the first element based upon the determined error of the fourth element.

An article of manufacture as defined in claim 31, wherein the machine accessible instructions, when executed, cause the machine to decide during the first time interval whether to erase the first element of the first codeword by making a final decision during a third time interval to erase all elements associated with the first frame, the third time interval preceding the first time interval.
35. An article of manufacture as defined in claim 31, wherein the machine accessible instructions, when executed, cause the machine to decode the second codeword based upon the determined erasures of the second elements of the first and the second frames.
36. An article of manufacture as defined in claim 31, wherein the machine accessible instructions, when executed, cause the machine to decide during the first time interval whether to erase the first element of the first codeword by:
determining if the first frame is corrupted; and
erasing the first element if the first frame is corrupted.

What is claimed is;

1. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system comprising a threshold value control means which stepwise sets a plurality of threshold values for binary-coding radiation image data of an object,
a binary image generating means which carries out binary-coding processing on the radiation image data by the use of each of the threshold values set by the threshold value control means, thereby generating a plurality of binary images,
a primary-label region extracting means which attaches a primary label to an isolated region in each of the binary images and extracts the isolated regions attached with the primary label as primary-label regions,
a growth score calculating means which calculates for each primary-label region a growth score for evaluating the likelihood that the primary-label region represents a growth, and
a prospective abnormal shadow region detecting means which compares the growth scores for the respective primary-label regions with each other and detects as the prospective abnormal shadow region a predetermined number of primary-label regions which are higher in the growth score than any of the others.
2. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 1 further comprising a secondary-label region determining means which determines whether a primary-label region extracted from one of the binary images is the same as that extracted from any other binary images, extracts as a secondary-label region only one of the same primary-label regions when it is determined that the primary-label regions extracted from the respective binary images are the same, and determines a growth score for the secondary-label region on the basis of the growth scores for the same primary-label regions wherein the prospective abnormal shadow region detecting means compares the growth scores for the respective secondary-label regions with each other and detects as the prospective abnormal shadow region a predetermined number of secondary-label regions which are higher in the growth score than any of the others.
3. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 2 in which the threshold value control means stepwise sets a plurality of threshold values in the range covering all the pixel values which theoretically the pixel can take.
4. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 3 in which one step at which the threshold value control means stepwise sets a plurality of threshold values is fixed to a predetermined pixel value.
5. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 4 in which said predetermined pixel value is equal to the minimum unit of the pixel value.

A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 2 in which the threshold value control means stepwise sets a plurality of threshold values in the range between a minimum pixel value which is minimum in the values of the pixels actually existing in the region of the object and a maximum pixel value which is maximum in the values of the pixels actually existing in the region of the object.
7. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 6 in which one step at which the threshold value control means stepwise sets a plurality of threshold values is fixed to a predetermined pixel value.
8. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 7 in which said predetermined pixel value is equal to the minimum unit of the pixel value.
9. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 2 in which one step at which the threshold value control means stepwise sets a plurality of threshold values is changed according to the pixel value range.
10. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 9 in which the one step is changed according to the class into which the pixel is classified in a histogram which shows the pixel value distribution in the radiation image data.
11. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 2 in which the growth score is calculated on the basis of at least one of the brightness, the circularity, and the size of the primary-label region.
12. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 1 in which the threshold value control means stepwise sets a plurality of threshold values in the range covering all the pixel values which theoretically the pixel can take.
13. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 12 in which one step at which the threshold value control means stepwise sets a plurality of threshold values is fixed to a predetermined pixel value.
14. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 13 in which said predetermined pixel value is equal to the minimum unit of the pixel value.

A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 1 in which the threshold value control means stepwise sets a plurality of threshold values in the range between a minimum pixel value which is minimum in the values of the pixels actually existing in the region of the object and a maximum pixel value which is maximum in the values of the pixels actually existing in the region of the object.
16. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 15 in which one step at which the threshold value control means stepwise sets a plurality of threshold values is fixed to a predetermined pixel value.

18. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 1 in which one step at which the threshold value control means stepwise sets a plurality of threshold values is changed according to the pixel value range.
19. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 18 in which the one step is changed according to the class into which the pixel is classified in a histogram which shows the pixel value distribution in the radiation image data.
20. A prospective abnormal shadow detecting system as defined in claim 1 in which the growth score is calculated on the basis of at least one of the brightness, the circularity, and the size of the primary-label region.

Belt for use as a vehicle safety belt having a fabric structure consisting of warp threads (1) and weft threads (3), wherein the warp threads (1) extend in a longitudinal direction (2) corresponding to the load direction of the belt and the weft threads (3) extend in a transverse direction (4) thereto, wherein in the load-free state the warp threads (1) are looped around the weft threads (3) and the weft threads (3) extend substantially in a straight line with respect thereto, and wherein at least in one length-wise section of the belt the weft threads (3) are formed in such a manner as to be able to extend in length in comparison to the warp threads (1), characterised in that the ability of the weft threads (3) to extend in length is set with the proviso that in the event that a load is applied in the longitudinal direction (2) the warp threads (1) are stretched substantially in a straight line starting from their structure looped around the weft threads (3) and the weft threads (3) starting from their substantially straight-line structure are looped around the warp threads (1) when said warp threads are displaced laterally and in this case increase the width dimension of the belt.
2. Belt as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the weft threads (3) are formed by elastic threads.
3. Belt as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the weft threads (3) are formed from threads which are conditioned by means of partial stretching andor texturing so as to be able to extend in length.
4. Belt as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the weft threads (3) are conditioned by means of woven-in loops so as to be able to extend in length.
5. Belt as claimed in claim 3, characterised in that the weft threads (3) are formed in an identical material to the warp threads (1).
6. Belt as claimed in claim 2, wherein the weft threads are formed from threads which are conditioned by means of partial stretching andor texturing so as to be able to extend in length.
7. Belt as claimed in claim 2 wherein the weft threads are conditioned by means of woven-in loops so as to be able to extend in length.
8. Belt as claimed in claim 3 wherein the weft threads are conditioned by means of woven-in loops so as to be able to extend in length.
9. Belt as claimed in claim 4, wherein the weft threads are formed in an identical material to the warp threads.
