1. A system for solidifying ink printed on a moving web of paper comprising:
a structure means for directing an airflow across a plurality of elongated and perforated hollow tubes at a high negative electrical potential,
said tubes also containing flammable gas under pressure, so disposed as to emit flames along the length of said tubes,
said tubes thereby becoming sufficiently heated so as to initiate thermionic-emission of ions from said tubes into said airstream, and
charge bars so disposed that said web is interposed between said charge bars and said tubes,
the ionized airstream being thereby attracted to the web interposed in the electrostatic field created between said tubes and said charge-bars, thereby causing ionization of gasses, vapors and fumes as they are emitted from said web, and
means for collecting said ionized gasses, fumes and vapors.
2. The system in claim 1 wherein the voltage on the charge tubes is sufficient to cause a corona on the surface of the web, the ultraviolet energy causing the inks and coatings to become solidified.
3. The system in claim 1 wherein the voltage on the charge tubes is sufficient to create an ozone atmosphere at the surface of the web, thereby causing the inks and coatings to become solidified.
4. A system for solidifying ink printed on a moving web of paper comprising:
a structure means for directing an airflow across a plurality of elongated tubes,
said elongated tubes being maintained at a sufficiently high temperature and electrical positive voltage potential to cause a stream of ions to be released from said tubes and said flames, thereby ionizing said airstream wherein
said elongated tubes contain a mixture of fuel and air and being so disposed as to support flames along their length, and
said flames being spaced from the web being treated , and
charge bars so disposed that said web is interposed between said charge bars and said elongated tubes, whereby an electrostatic field is created causing ionization of said vapors gasses and fumes as they are repelled from said web.
5. A system for solidifying a coating on a moving web comprising: blower and duct structures for directing an airflow across a plurality of heated high-voltage structures so disposed as to provide thermionic emission, the heated and ionized airflow then being attracted towards a plurality of elongated charge bars,
said moving web being interposed between said heated high-voltage structures and said charge bars and
said ionized airstream being thereby attracted to the web interposed in the electrostatic field created between said wires and said charge-bars,
thereby causing ionization of the emitted effluent consisting of condensing vapors, fumes and nascent gasses as they leave said web,
said web then moving into a second position wherein said emitted effluent is repelled from the web by a second charge bar and attracted to a collection structure.
6. The system in claim 5 wherein said coating is ink on the surface of a moving web of paper.
7. The system in claim 5 wherein said heated high-voltage structures are perforated hollow tubes containing flammable gas under pressure.
8. The system in claim 5 wherein said heated high-voltage structures are coated with material that facilitates thermionic-emission, alkaline earth oxides being exemplary of said materials.
9. The system in claim 5 wherein said collection structure consists of a cooled, moving endless band, said band being continuously cleaned for collection of said emitted effluent adhered thereto.

1. A device, comprising.
a first body member;
a second body member;
a hinge connecting the first body member to the second body member so that the first body member and second body member can be brought together to define a substantially enclosed space therebetween that is configured to receive a ventilation mask;
a clasping device connected to the first body member and second body member to hold the first body member and second body member together when the clasping device is engaged;
an aperture in at least one of the first and second body members configured to permit a circuit to be connected to the ventilation mask when the ventilation mask is disposed within the substantially enclosed space;
a connector provided with at least one of the first and second body members and configured to attach the device to one of a ventilator and a ventilator cart; and
one selected from the group consisting of:
(i) a disinfection system configured to disinfect the ventilation mask when the ventilation mask is located within the substantially enclosed space, and
(ii) a third body member adjacent the first body member and a fourth body member adjacent the second body member, wherein the third and fourth body members are configured such that when the first body member and second body member are brought together to define the substantially enclosed space therebetween, then the third and fourth body members are nested inside the substantially enclosed space.
2. The device of claim 1, further comprising the disinfection system configured to disinfect the ventilation mask when the ventilation mask is located within the substantially enclosed space.
3. The device of claim 2, wherein the disinfection system includes an ultraviolet (UV) light.
4. The device of claim 3, wherein the further comprising a switch for selectively supplying power to the UV light, the switch being adapted to be engaged to supply the power to the UV light when the first body member and second body member are brought together to define the substantially enclosed space therebetween.
5. The device of claim 1, wherein the first body member is a housing and the second body member is a door for the housing.
6. The device of claim 1, wherein the first and second body members each comprise a sterilizable material.
7. The device of claim 1, wherein the first and second body members each comprise polysterene.
8. The device of claim 1, further comprising:
the third body member adjacent the first body member; and
the fourth body member adjacent the second body member;
wherein the third and fourth body members are configured such that when the first body member and second body member are brought together to define the substantially enclosed space therebetween, then the third and fourth body members are nested inside the substantially enclosed space.
9. The device of claim 1, wherein the connector includes a hook configured to be fitted around a portion of the one of the ventilator or ventilator cart.
10. The device of claim 1, wherein the connector includes a clamping device configured to be clamped to a portion of the one of the ventilator or ventilator cart.
11. The device of claim 1, wherein the connector includes an opening in one of the first and second body members for being placed on one of a hook and a peg.
12. The device of claim 1, wherein the connector includes a hollow post configured to be fitted over a post connected to the one of the ventilator or ventilator cart.
13. The device of claim 1, wherein the connector is a first connector, and wherein the device further comprises a second connector provided with at least one of the first and second members and configured, together with the first connector, to attach the device to one of a ventilator and a ventilator cart by having a strap pass through the first and second connectors.
14. The device of claim 1, further comprising a hook disposed on an interior surface of one of the first and second body members for securing the ventilation mask within the enclosed space.
15. A device, comprising.
a body member having a first side and a second side, the first side defining a recess therein that is configured to receive and hold a ventilation mask; and
a connector provided on the second side of the body member that is configured to attach the device to one of a ventilator and a ventilator cart, wherein the body member further comprises:
a hinge connecting the first side to the second side so that the first side and second side can be brought together to define a substantially enclosed space therebetween that is configured to receive the ventilation mask;
a clasping device connected to the first side and second side to hold the first side and second side together when the clasping device is engaged;
an aperture in at least one of the first and second sides configured to permit a circuit to be connected to the ventilation mask when the ventilation mask is disposed within the substantially enclosed space; and
a disinfection system configured to disinfect the ventilation mask when the ventilation mask is located within the substantially enclosed space.
16. The device of claim 15, wherein the connector comprises a hollow post extending from the second side of the body member, the hollow post configured to be fitted over a post connected to the one of the ventilator or ventilator cart.
17. The device of claim 15, wherein the connector includes a hook configured to be fitted around a portion of the one of the ventilator or ventilator cart.
18. The device of claim 15, wherein the connector includes a clamping device configured to be clamped to a portion of the one of the ventilator or ventilator cart.
19. The device of claim 15, wherein the connector is a first connector, and wherein the device further comprises a second connector provided with at least one of the first and second members and configured, together with the first connector, to attach the device to one of a ventilator and a ventilator cart by having a strap pass through the first and second connectors.
