1. A pad for a garment, the pad comprising:
a plurality of pad segments having a non-deformed state and a deformed state, each pad segment comprising two elongate elements,
wherein the two elongate elements of each pad segment are joined at end portions thereof and define an elongated curved void therebetween when their respective pad segment is in the non-deformed state,
wherein adjacent pad segments are monolithic at middle portions of their adjacent elongate elements between adjacent voids.
2. The pad of claim 1, wherein end portions of adjacent pad segments are free from direct attachment to each other.
3. The pad of claim 1, further comprising elongate sections extending outwardly from the joined ends of the elongate elements of each pad segment.
4. The pad of claim 1, wherein the plurality of pad segments defines a zig-zag arrangement from the joining of the two elongate elements of a first pad segment, to the monolithic middle portions of the first pad segment and the second pad segment, and further to the joining of the two elongate elements of the second pad segment.
5. The pad of claim 1, wherein the voids define apertures through the pad segments.
6. The pad of claim 1, wherein each void is defined by a continuous perimeter formed by the two elongate elements of each pad segment.
7. The pad of claim 1, wherein the end portions define an edge of the pad.
The claims below are in addition to those above.

14. A method for detecting a limit of use of a medical device comprising the steps of
starting a timer of a medical device when said medical device is used for the first time,
detecting said limit of use of said medical device,
indicating said limit of use of said medical device,
characterized in that said limit of use is reached when at least one of at least a first criterion and a second criterion is met,
wherein said first criterion is that said timer reaches or exceeds a time limit, and
wherein said second criterion is that at least one operation of a drive train of said medical device reaches or exceeds a limit.
15. The method according to claim 14, wherein one operation of said drive train is a number of steps of an electromechanical assembly.
16. The method according to claim 14, wherein one operation of said drive train is a number of rewinds.
17. The method according to claim 14, wherein one operation of said drive train is a run time of said electromechanical assembly.
18. The method according to claim 14, wherein one operation of said drive train is a power-cycle of said electromechanical assembly.
19. The method according to claim 14, wherein a further criterion is that an operation of a cartridge changing procedure, in particular a door opening, a door closing, a cartridge change andor a dispense interface change, reaches or exceeds a limit.
20. The method according to claim 14, wherein a further criterion is that an operation of a charging process of said medical device reaches or exceeds a limit.
21. The method according to claim 14, wherein a further criterion is that a power-on time reaches or exceeds a limit.
22. The method according to claim 14, wherein a further criterion is that a user action reaches or exceeds a limit.
23. The medical device for performing a method according to claim 14, comprising
a reservoir containing a fluid,
a drive train comprising an electromechanical assembly,
a fluidic channel,
a control unit,
an indicator configured to indicate said limit of use of said medical device,
a first sensor configured to detect said first use of said medical device, and
at least a second sensor configured to detect at least one operation of said drive train of said medical device,
wherein said fluid is ejectable from said reservoir through said fluidic channel by a movement of said electromechanical assembly,
wherein said control unit and said sensors are configured such that said limit of use is reached when at least one of a first criterion and a second criterion is met.
