13. An integrated circuit (\u201cIC\u201d) comprising
phase-locked loop (\u201cPLL\u201d) circuitry including charge pump circuitry, voltage-controlled oscillator circuitry, and phase-frequency detector circuitry coupled to one another in a closed loop series; and
circuitry for supplying a controllably variable amount of charge pump current to the charge pump circuitry.
14. The integrated circuit defined in claim 13 further comprising:
programmable circuitry for controlling the circuitry for supplying to determine the amount of charge pump current the circuitry for supplying supplies to the charge pump circuitry.
15. The integrated circuit defined in claim 13 wherein the circuitry for supplying supplies a controllable number of multiples of a nominal amount of charge pump current to the charge pump circuitry.
16. An integrated circuit (\u201cIC\u201d) comprising:
phase-locked loop circuitry including charge pump circuitry, voltage-controlled oscillator circuitry, and phase-frequency detector circuitry coupled to one another in a closed loop series, and controllably variable voltage regulator circuitry for supplying a regulated voltage to the charge pump circuitry, the regulated voltage being controllably variable.
17. The integrated circuit defined in claim 16 further comprising:
power supply circuitry for supplying a power supply signal having a power supply voltage to the controllably variable regulator circuitry, the controllably variable regulator circuitry being able to controllably vary the regulated voltage relative to the power supply voltage.
18. The integrated circuit defined in claim 16 further comprising:
programmable circuit elements for controlling the regulated voltage supplied by the controllably variable voltage regulator circuitry.

A windscreen wiper device comprising an elastic, elongated carrier element, as well as an elongated wiper blade of a flexible material, which can be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped, which wiper blade includes at least one longitudinal groove, in which groove a longitudinal strip of the carrier element is disposed; a connecting device for an oscillating arm which can be pivotally connected to said connecting device about a pivot axis near one end, with the interposition of a joint part, wherein said connecting device has a substantially H-shaped cross-section, wherein lower legs of said H-shaped cross-section are connected to the flexible material of said wiper blade on opposite sides thereof, and wherein upper legs of said H-shaped cross-section are adapted to receive said joint part, wherein said joint part is connected to said connecting device through a snapping operation by engaging cylindrical protrusions of said connecting device, at the location of said pivot axis, in co-axial recesses provided in said joint part, and wherein the protrusions extend outwards form said upper legs on either side of said connecting device, and wherein said protrusions are provided with co-axial through holes.
14. A windscreen wiper device according to claim 13, wherein said lower legs are movable between an open position, wherein said wiper blade can be placed inside said connecting device at the location of their interconnection, and a closed position, wherein said lower legs are clamped around the flexible material of said wiper blade.
15. A windscreen wiper device according to claim 14, wherein in said closed position said wiper blade and said longitudinal strip are mutually fixated by said lower legs at the location of the interconnection of said connecting device and said wiper blade, and wherein in said closed position said wiper blade is allowed to move in longitudinal direction relative to said longitudinal strip outside the location of the interconnection of said connecting device and said wiper blade.
16. A windscreen wiper device according to claim 14, wherein in said closed position said lower legs are slightly deforming said wiper blade at the location of the interconnection of said connecting device and said wiper blade.
17. A windscreen wiper device according to claim 13, wherein said connecting device is produced form a metal sheet and subsequently bend into said H-shaped cross-section.
18. A windscreen wiper device according to claim 17, wherein said connecting device is produced from a metal sheet through a cutting or stamping operation.
19. A windscreen wiper device according to clam 13, wherein said joint part is a separate constructional element.
20. A windscreen wiper device according to claim 13, wherein said joint part is an integral part of said oscillating arm.
21. A windscreen wiper device according to claim 13, wherein said upper legs are each disposed between two spaced-apart walls of said joint part.
